Is he coming back? – Skatronixxx
Those deaf to the cries of Bond actor Daniel Craig’s omission that he’d rather ‘slash my wrists’ than return to play the British spy won’t be surprise to hear Producer Michael G. Wilsons assertion that Craig would return for the 25th Bond film.
For those, like me, who were convinced that Britain’s 2nd highest earning film SPECTRE, would be the last outing for the Blonde Bond, may have to come around to idea that Craig may in fact be back.
In an interview with Hollywood reporter Wilson confirmed that although they, ‘don’t have a contract” with the British actor he was confident, expressing that “I think we’ve got Daniel Craig.’ The producer for the Bond franchise liken the situation to Sam Mendes who denied that he would return to follow up the success he had with Skyfall, the first Bond film to earn over $1,000 million in the international market. ‘[Mendes] said they were never going to make the picture again, and he told the press that.’
The producer also further elaborated on the news that that MGM were looking for a new studio: ‘It’s not primarily our decision,’ adding ‘but of three people they’re considering, all of them are more than suitable for us. They’re all fine.’
With regards to Craig’s thoughts on a return. The actor was as tight lipped as ever, expressing that he ‘had massive amounts of fun” filming SPECTRE. “The simple answer is: I don’t want to think about it.’ Before coyly adding ‘maybe I’ll make another one, I don’t know.’
Bond fans your thoughts: is it time for a new bond to fill those MI6 shoes? Was SPECTRE any good? Who would you like to see as James Bond? Sound off on Twitter and as always, stick with @mitch_rated only on Skatronixxx.com
