As part of Skatronixxx.com plans to continue to grow we are always looking to partner with up and coming teams, businesses or people. The latest team to partner with us is up and coming animation company ‘Let Me Out Animations‘. Let’s find out some more about the newest member to the #TeamSkatronixxx extended family.
1) I’m pleased to announce to our readers that Skatronixxx.Com and Let Me Out Animations have agreed a partnership to air your show ‘VirtualCraft’. Can you tell us a little bit about what the show and what we can expect to see?
Absolutely, VirtualCraft is the story of people fighting to get out of a virtual reality video game. It is not dissimilar to a few notable shows in that regard, though I can guarantee, in VirtualCraft nobody is safe. Their lives are on the line as they work together to try and survive.
2) How did you get into animation?
I was actually inspired by Minecraft. Running around that world of possibilities, it struck a chord in me that I had nearly forgotten about. From a very young age I had the need to create. I graduated from that world and moved into the realm of 3d modelling. I’ve shaped the world of VirtualCraft to pay homage to that inspiration.
3) I can see that you have also several other series in the pipelines such as ‘Something Like A Hero’ and ‘Happy Eggs’ can you tell us anything about these shows?
Happy Eggs was actually my first idea for a series. It is a light hearted take on darkly humorous idea. If your food saw what happened after it leaves the fridge. Something Like A Hero, to begin production after season one of VirtualCraft is complete, is a universe of series, ranging from dramatic to comedic in tone. It will follow several different perspectives through several generations of superheroes and supervillains. It will be quite a grand venture.
4) Readers may recognise the animation you’ve used as coming from hit game ‘Minecraft’, do you think we could see more animators using this program to make shows in the future?
I certainly think Minecraft is a great platform to nurture imagination. I think that fans of the game will continue to push the limits of what we think are capable. I hope that VirtualCraft can play a role in that development.
5) What can we expect to see from you in the remaining months of 2016 going forward into 2017?
We will be producing and publishing season one of VirtualCraft and be beginning production on Something Like A Hero’s first show.
6) Tell our readers one fun fact about yourself
(Not too sure what to put here)
I was once told I’d never walk without a limp, after an unfortunate incident with a few dogs. So I took up rock-climbing. No limp now, and I love rock-climbing and dogs.
7) Finally what advice would you have for upcoming animators?
No matter what, if you have a passion to create, just go out and do it. I learnt everything I know for free from the Internet and some frustrating hours staring at my screen wondering how to make the thingy do that with this thingy. It’s not easy but it’s worth every second when you get to look at what you’ve done in the final render, there’s just no feeling quite like it.
