This weeks Fresh Friday Featured artist is another Aussie Clea, and here is why I choses this incredibly talented Aussie. A new original australian series The Kettering Incident aired here in Australia on Monday and Clea, a young singer-songwriter has covered the single ‘Crimson and Clover‘ especially for the new TV series ” The Kettering Incident“. I have to say that to date it is my favorite cover of the single, apart from the  Joan Jett & the Blackhearts cover.

Clea Pratt an alternative singer-songwriter from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Her love for music began at a very young age, song writing has for Clea, become a natural remedy while also being cathartic, exhilarating, exhausting but ultimately incredibly rewarding. Clea’s tracks are enchantingly beautiful and her voice is just as enchanting but it also has a mysteriousness about it, and immediately evokes goosebumps.

Laura Marling, Nick Drake, Ainslie Wills and Grizzly Bear are Clea’s major influences, Clea describes her songs as “broody and glum” but says she has learnt to own that style of writing and able to take advantage of it. Clea’s single ‘Dire Consequences‘ is very easy to get lost in the music arrangement and not to mention her gorgeous tone to her voice. Her other single ‘Polyester‘ is just as beautifully done, and I think it really showcases her voice. Clea’s newest single ‘Crimson and Clover‘ is hauntingly beautiful, with feel of mysteriousness to it and add her haunting tone and you have the this incredible cover of a single that has been covered by many, but this one takes the cake!!  Clea is seriously talented and I very much look forward to hearing more from this incredibly talented fellow Aussie and Queenslander.

You can find Clea on Spotify, SoundCloud, Google’s Play Music and iTunes. Below you will find her singles from Spotify and her ‘Dire Consequences‘ music video.
