Game of Thrones Adds Valar Dohaeris Triple Ale To Beer Line

Valar morghulis. In these perilous times we struggle through—that is, going another year without HBO’s Game of Thrones, we have been bestowed a gift by the old gods. Brewery Ommegang and HBO Global Marketing have created a new addition to their Game of Thrones beer line. The new beer is Valar Dohaeris Tripel Ale. Before you point out that spelling mistake, you cheeky direwolf, let me assure you it’s no mistake. It really is called Valar Dohaeris Tripel Ale. This new ale is a tribute to Arya Stark and her time spent training in the House of Black and White.

“Valar Dohaeris is 9 percent alcohol-by-volume, and is brewed with pils, wheat and oats, flaked barley, and hopped with noble hops. A bright sweetness thanks to the Belgian candi sugar used in brewing. The finish is moderately dry and effervescent with just a hint of Belgian yeast character.”

According to IGN, Valar Dohaeris will be released in the U.S.A. on October 10th. The new beer will be sold in 750ml single bottles for $9.99. It’s twin, Valar Morghulis Dubbel Ale, will also be re-released with the  debut. Fans have the option of buying Valar Dohaeris and Valar Morghulis together in a collectible gift pack, which includes a commemorative glass, for $22.99.

What other beers are there? Iron Throne, Take the Black Stout, Fire and Blood, Seven Kingdoms, Three-Eyed Raven and, as previously mentioned, Valar Morghulis.
