1) How did you get into cosplaying?
I basically grew up in a comic book store and was inspired by comic books to bring my favorite characters to life in my own way!
2) Where do you get your inspiration and ideas to cosplay from? Is it from programs you watch now or childhood programs or both?
I am still an avid comic collector to this day and get a lot of my inspiration from comics as well as movies, TV shows and video games.
3) How do you put your outfits together are they 100% from scratch and if so what’s been your trickiest part to date?
It depends on the outfit. Most of them I make myself but I have also commissioned pieces or just modeled them for companies or friends. My Rapunzel Boba Fett mash-up was probably the hardest one I’ve made. The armor required my to learn several new skills and hours upon hours of hand-painting.
4) What’s your favourite cosplay to date?
It’s hard to pick a favorite. Every character I cosplay is close to my heart for one reason or another so each costume I make is special to me!
5) If you’ve cosplayed at a convention what was the experience like?
I always have great experiences at conventions. It’s a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by people who enjoy the same things you do and have an appreciation for your work!
6) Can we expect to see you at any conventions this year?
Yes! I have already attended several and have a few more scheduled before the year is out!
7) If you could cosplay as anyone and budget wasn’t an issue who would it be?
Wonder Woman’s golden eagle armor definitely!
8) Do you have any words of advice for up and coming cosplayers?
Stay true to what you love and start simple!
