Aquaman To Film In Australia

So according to the Daily Telegraph the new Aquaman movie is set to be heading to Australia for pre-production and this will begin before Christmas.

It has not yet officially been announced but it would make sense as Village Roadshow Studios boasts the largest built film purpose water tank in the country. Plus Warner Brothers has a long standing relationship with the company.

The only snag to filming in this location would be due to the issues that Amber Heard caused by breaking Australia’s strict biosecurity by not declaring her two Yorkshire Terriers when her and then husband Johnny Depp into the country with false documents. Heard was placed on a one month good behavior bond and fined $1000 for producing the fake document.

“When contacted yesterday, the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection would not comment on whether or not Heard’s history would impact her visa application,” reports The Daily Telegraph.

The film is set to star Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Amber Heard (Machete Kills) as Mera, and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Atlantean politician Vulko.

Aquaman is set to hit cinemas on July 27th 2018.
