Calling all unsigned bands in the UK, this could be your chance to breakthrough and get your music heard at the Firestone’s Battle of the Bands.

With the success of last years unsigned Battle of the Bands talent search across the UK, Firestone is bring it back again this year! The well-known tyre brand is once again embarking on a nationwide hunt for the most talented bands in the UK, culminating in a performance on the Firestone Stage at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on December 7, in what could be a massive breakthrough opportunity.

Firestone Battle of the Bands is a social networking-based campaign and will run in partnership with the arena and Professional Music Technology (PMT), who will provide music equipment as an additional prize to the winning act. The Battle of the Band’s competition forms part of Firestone’s ongoing effort to reach a youthful audience through music. Last year, more than 200 unsigned acts showcased their talents through video entries, before Firestone had the unenviable task of narrowing the entries down to a final shortlist of just four bands.

Last year’s entries were, Indigo Sky, Rituals, Wild at Heart and Three Empty Domes but ultimately there could only be one winner, the Birmingham act Rituals were crowned the winners of Battle of the Bands 2015. Stuart Attfield, Firestone’s brand manager said: “we are thrilled to be running Battle of the Bands for a second year, following an extraordinarily successful competition in 2015.”
