Arrow SN4 EP15 – ‘ Taken’

So it’s time for my latest review on Arrow so in this episode we carry on from where we left off in the last episode with Damien Darhk having taken Oliver’s son William. We also see Vixen make her live action debut to help Oliver and the team fight magic with magic.

So we at the start of the episode we see Felicity at a rehab center with Curtis’s boyfriend trying out the implant that he gave her in the last episode, she attempts to take her first step and unfortunately buckles and is caught by Oliver.  We see the pair leaving the rehab center and who should arrive in the car park but none other than Damien Darhk, Oliver attempts to run up to confront him but of course Darhk uses his powers to hold him back, he taunts Felicity by apologizing about what happened over Christmas and offers her some advice that she may want to think about a motorized chair.

Oliver then receives a message on his phone and Darhk advises him that he is going to want to see it, Oliver takes his phone out and is confronted by a video message showing William playing in front of a fire place. Darhk advises Oliver that he has until tomorrow night to formally pull out of the race for mayor and give his support to Ruve Adams, Felicity asks Oliver who the child was and Oliver is forced to tell her that it is his son.

Felicity and Oliver arrive back at HQ and start to argue about why he did not tell her he had a son to which Oliver replies that Williams mother said the only way he could have contact with William was if he promised to not tell anyone. Felicity cannot believe that she would be that evil about him keeping him a secret just as the rest of the team arrive, Felicity tells him as William was living in Central city he should tell Barry and ask for his help but the look on Oliver’s face tells Felicity that Barry already knew about William. Felicity then asks the team if any of them knew about William and Thea is forced to admit that she found out a few weeks ago but none of the others knew.

Oliver then receives a call from his campaign manager advising him that a Samantha Clayton is in his office demanding to see him, Oliver tells the team that Williams mother is here and that he has to go meet her. Oliver goes upstairs to meet her and straight away she blames Oliver and wishes he had never found out about William, Oliver decides that it’s time to tell the truth and admits to Samantha that he is the Green Arrow and that is why William has been taken. We see Oliver take Samantha down to the HQ to show her he is not lying and to introduce her to the team including Felicity who is not looking impressed to say the least.

The team discuss a plan to try and find out where Darhk is keeping William, Oliver tasks Thea with speaking to Malcolm as he also knew about William and has an axe to grind with Oliver after what happened between them. We also hear Oliver mention someone who he thinks can help by the name of Vixen and just like that we are taken to another city too see three armed men running from what sounds like a wolf. After one of the guards is taken out by an invisible force the other two stop to face there attacker and are greeted by Vixen she knocks both men on the floor and as she is finishing off one of them the other is about to attack from behind cue Oliver turning up and putting an arrow through his arm to stop the attack. Vixen explains to Oliver that she had that under control and Oliver explains that he knows but he needs her help.

Oliver takes Vixen back to HQ to meet the team and Samantha it appears that Vixen can harness the abilities of animals through a mystic charm that she wears around her neck meaning she may be able to help track the location of William. Vixen asks Samantha if she has anything that belongs to William and she hands over a Flash action figure to her, she begins to sniff the toy and warns Oliver that Barry must never hear about this and then that she has picked up Williams scent. The team head off to a hotel and we see Vixen sawing through the sky of the form of an Eagle checking to see how many guards Darhk has guarding William. Oliver is on the roof across from the hotel with Diggle and he apologizes for not telling him about William, Diggle says he understands why he kept it a secret as he is constantly worried about his own child Sara and that is why he knows where Sara is every moment of the day.

Oliver swings from the building and smashes through the window of the hotel only to be confronted by Darhk and William is nowhere in sight, Oliver draws and arrow and Darhk reminds him that he played that game before and he knows who wins. The pair begin to fight each other and Darhk gets the better of Oliver and puts him through a table, Vixen arrives to help Oliver and unleashes a wolf and starts to fight with Darhk he also manages to get the better of her and holds her in place with his powers and makes a comment that he knows where her charm comes from and when he kills her he will put it to better use. Oliver gets back to his feet and is about to attack but Darhk uses his powers to push Oliver out of a window, luckily he manages to grab the ledge and Vixen rushes to help him back in and it appears that Vixen has lost the scent of William and Darhk has vanished.

The team regroup back at HQ to discuss what they will do next to save William but as they are discussing this Oliver receives a call from Darhk to advise him he should not have gotten the Arrow involved in there deal and he has to get himself in front of the camera now and step down from the mayoral race. Oliver decides that he has not other choice but to step down despite the teams advice that he should not give in that easily but all he wants to do is get William back safe and he calls a press conference to step down and give his support to Ruve Adams. Vixen speaks to Oliver privately after the press conference and advises him that when they they get William back he should keep his distance from him to save anyone else using him against him in the future.

The team meet back at HQ to try and figure out the source of Darhk’s power as Vixen has never come across someone this powerful before and she brings up the fact that his must be using some sort of mystical artifact to draw his power from. Captain Lance tells the team that he thinks he has seen this artifact when he went to see Darhk and it was kept in a cabinet, Vixen asks Captain Lance if he can describe the artifact to her and she will try and draw a picture to help them figure out how it is powered he says he thinks he can and the pair go off to put the sketch together. The rest of the team head off to comb the street to see if they can track Darhk down in the mean time and Oliver asks Felicity if he can keep Samantha company while they do this.

Samantha and Felicity have a chat about the situation they are in and Samantha backs Oliver’s story up that she was the one who asked him to keep William a secret despite him telling her there was someone special in his life that he would like to tell. Evetually the team meet back at HQ and Vixen knows the exact artifact that Darhk is drawing his powers from and that it is powered by using lay lines and Felicity sets to work tracking the lay lines against the places they have faced Darhk. Felicity manages to pin point the nearest location that is central from there meeting with Darhk and the team head off to the mansion to save William and finally stop Darhk.

The team arrive at the mansion which is heavily guarded the team take up there positions as Vixen soars over head to give the team a birds eye view of what is going on. Oliver moves in and engages the guards and while Darhk is distracted by the noise outside Vixen swoops in through the window and before Darhk can grab her she flies off with the artifact. Just as the guards are defeated Darhk appears and grabs Oliver, Thea and Laurel in a choke and starts to squeeze the life from them, William comes out from behind him and Oliver tells him through gasped breathe to back inside. Darhk tells William to stay where he is and that he wants him to see this.

Meanwhile Vixen has met up with Diggle on the edge of the mansion grounds and she summons the strength of a Gorilla and starts smashing the artifact against a rock to try and destroy it. Vixen struggles at first but Diggle wills her to continue to try as he does not think the other three have much time left finally with one last almighty smash she destroys it and Oliver, Thea and Laurel drop to the ground. He looks concerned and tries to regain his control over them but this does not work and it appears his powers are now gone. Olive and Darhk begin to fight and Oliver manages to get a shot off with a trick arrow that ties Darhk up just before Oliver punches him unconscious.

The police SCPD turn up and place Darhk under arrest for the kidnap of William who is then reunited with his mum back at the police station she goes to give him his Flash action figure and the boy announces he would now like an Arrow action figure instead. Oliver leaves to say goodbye to Vixen who advises him maybe she was wrong about him keeping his distance from his son.

We then cut to a scene back at Oliver’s apartment of him filming a message to William explaining everything and that he has asked his mum to take him away and not tell anyone including him where they are going and that he asked his mum to only show him this when he turns 18 so he can make his own decision on if he wants to know Oliver. Felicity comes in and Oliver asks her how much she heard of that to which she replies all of it and that she cant believe he has made yet another big decision without her. Oliver tries to explain but Felicity has had enough and puts her engagement ring on the table and says she needs some time away from him as he is still keeping secrets from the one person he should tell everything. We then see Felicity’s foot move and she then takes her feet off her chair foot rests and stands for the first time after the accident she then turns and walks out on Oliver with the episode coming to an end.

The Flash SN2 EP15 – ‘ King Shark ‘

So it’s time once again for my review of The Flash and in this weeks episode we see Barry struggle with what happened on Earth-2, the return of King Shark, guest appearances from Diggle and Lyla and we the identity of Zoom is finally revealed.

So after Jay Garrick was killed at the end of the last episode we see the team looking visibly shaken by what was just at the beginning of the episode, Barry decides to concentrate on running around the city looking for other meta human threats while Caitlin struggles to come to terms with losing yet another love interest. Barry wants to go back to Earth-2 as he feels that he has left the whole planet at the mercy of Zoom now they have  closed all the portals. Dr Wells explains to Barry that it is impossible to go back as all the portals have now been closed and there is no way of reopening them.

We then go off to a secret Argus facility where is appears they have been holding King Shark prisoner in a large tank with a laser grid over the top of to stop him from escaping. He appears to have gone belly up so the guards decide to shut down the laser grid, cue the scene cutting to Lyla and Diggle arriving at the facility and we find out that Lyla has been promoted to the new head of Argus and has been tasked with cleaning up Wallers mess. The alarm sounds and the pair arrive to see all the guards dead and King Shark having a snack on them as he sees the Lyla and Diggle appear he makes a break for it and escapes.

Diggle and Lyla pay Barry and team a visit to advise them that King Shark has escaped from the Argus facility as it appears that Amanda Waller had captured him and were experimenting on him to see if they could use his genetic make up to make weapons. Barry is frustrated by this and is not going to wait around for King Shark to find him and that he is going to take the fight to him instead. Barry, Diggle, Lyla and the Argus team take off to track him down by searching the nearest bodies of water next to Central City. The group eventually find him but are unable to capture him and he makes a meal out of another two Argus agents.

During the episode we see Dr Wells warn Barry and Cisco that they must not tell the others about there Earth-2 counter parts, the pair agree to not tell them anything but we see Caitlin’s attitude change towards people. Cisco begins to worry that she is becoming exactly like Killer Frost after she the pair pay King Sharks Earth-1 wife and Caitlin becomes inpatient after they ask for a look at her research. She also snaps at Cisco later on for trying to help her go through the research and find a way to track King Sharks movements.

We also see some issues arise between Barry and Wally during a family game night at the West household, Wally beats Barry’s cup stacking record and makes the claim that no-one is faster than him. Barry is offered the chance to regain his title but he doesn’t seem interesting in having fun with the rest of the West family, Wally seems to be a bit put out by this and decides to head off as he has plans. Joe and Iris pick up on something not being right but there unable to get it out of Barry at this point in time. Joe later arranges for Barry and Wally to meet up at the house to help Wally with his project to get into a engineering college programme, Barry reluctantly agrees to come along and help him out as he knows he needs to take his mind off King Shark.

The pair meet up and at first it takes them sometime to warm up to each other as Barry goes straight into nerd mode and starts telling Wally where he needs to improve his engine designs and Wally states that he asked for his help and not for him to do the work for him. The pair then get down to work and seem to be working well together until Barry gets ahead of his self again and states to Wally that he is trying to help and doesn’t want the college to have a reason to say no to him. Wally takes offence to this and goes to storm out Barry goes after him to ask what his problem is only for Wally to tell him that he has had enough of hearing how amazing and perfect Barry is from Joe and Iris. Just as the pair are arguing King Shark arrives by tearing the roof of the house looking for The Flash as he can smell that he is there. Barry makes sure that Wally is not looking and rushes outside to confront Killer Shark, the fight is short lived with Barry being thrown against a car but before King Shark can finish the job Argus arrive on the scene and scare him off.

Barry arrives back in the house as the West’s are tidying up the mess and Wally turns to Barry and asks if he has been hiding under his bed he had heard he was meant to be this amazing person and he didn’t take him for a coward this causes Joe to snap at Wally before he leaves the house looking annoyed that his father has taken Barry’s side. Barry tries to defend Wally but Iris and Joe know there is something else wrong with him, Barry comes clean and tells him all about there Earth-2 counter parts and what happened to Joe and that even though it was not his Joe that died it was still just as painful. Barry also admits that he feels like it is his fault that Jay was killed due to him being the one who opened the breaches, Joe and Iris advise him that it is not his fault and that he needs to move past this if he is ever going to be happy.

We go back to Star labs and Cisco confronts Caitlin about her behaviour and accidentally lets slip that she is acting like she was over there. Caitlin manages to get out of Cisco about meeting her Earth-2 counter park and what she was like and is a little shocked to think Cisco would think she could turn into that sort of person and that she just needs time to get over losing Jay. Eventually Caitlin manages to find out that King Shark uses Barry’s electric charge in order to track him giving the group the idea to reverse this process to track him instead. Barry, Caitlin, Diggle, Lyla and the Argus team head off to the river to try and lure King Shark out with a decoy of Barry giving out an electric pulse.

King Shark takes the bait but the tranquillisers that Cisco has planted in the decoy have had not effect and he ends up on land and it appears that bullets don’t do any good against him so Barry takes off over the water and King Shark gives chase. Barry uses his electric charge to send shocks through the water harming King Shark before sprinting around in a whirlwind and eventually hitting him with his now trademark lightening bolt rendering him unconscious. Argus reel him in and place in him an impenetrable holding cell so that he can be transferred back to the facility, Lyla promises Barry that they won’t be experimenting on him like Waller was. We also see Diggle give Barry some advice as he has noticed that Barry has been struggling and it’s around how to losing people that are close to you and using his experience of when he was in Afghanistan and lost his friends.

We see Caitlin catch Cisco out by touching her with her cold hands and when he calls he Caitlin she asks why she is calling her that and she hates that name before laughing at him, Cisco obviously doesn’t find it very funny but is glad to see her a bit happier.

At the end of the episode we see Barry call everyone together and advise them that he is not ready to give up on Jay and that they will find a way to get back to Earth-2 and also that he plans on stopping Zoom once and for all when he gets there revealing Jay’s helmet in a case to honour his memory. We see a cut scene to Earth-2 and Zoom holding the body of Jay he drops him on the floor and the prisoner with the metal mask looks distraught, we then finally see Zoom remove his mask only to reveal the face of Jay Garrick and says “Well this is a complication”.

Stu’s Track Of the Week

So I’ve been thinking what to do music wise for the site and thought why not choose a track of the week and share it with you all. This week I have gone for a track that is close to my heart and in memory of my father who passed away 5 years ago today. It is song that was played a lot when I was younger and after I had gown up and started going to the pub with him.

Arrow SN4 EP14 – ‘Code Of Silence’

So it’s time for this weeks review of Arrow and this weeks episode centers around the team trying to locate Damien Darhk and team uncover a sinister hive plot in the process.

We start the episode in a theater with Oliver and the team preparing for a live debate session with Darhk’s wife Ruvé Adams the team are discussing if they have uncovered anything on Ruvé that will help them win the race for mayor of Star city just as she arrives. The pair exchange a few words and Oliver manages to drop some nice Darhk references into the conversation before she makes her excuses and leaves, the team spring into action and suit up to follow her and see if she leads them to Darhk’s location.

She ends up leading the arrow to a remote location under a bridge to appear and advise him that he had a meeting with her husband last week and he hates to be stood up. She then follows this up with but I’m sure he would hate you following his wife even more and he has a surprise for you and with that a group of hive soldiers come from behind her and open fire. Speedy and Spartan arrive to lend a helping hand but amidst the fight Ruvé manages to slip away.

Oliver and Thea are seen back at the campaign HQ and it appears that Thea has been tasked with looking into the Queen family history to make sure there are not more secrets that Ruvé can use against Oliver in the debate. This of course means Thea comes across a check written by there mum for 1 million dollars payable to a Samantha Clayton as she questions Oliver about this he just claims she was someone he went to college with and does not know why there mum had written her a check.

We then see a meeting between Darhk and other leaders of Hive where they are discussing phase 5 of there plan for Star city, one of the leaders advises that Darhk’s failure to take care of Oliver Queen has caused them to doubt it he can carry out the plan. Darhk does not take kindly to this and asks the man how his office is and he feels like he is there and the next thing we hear is a snapping sound so it appears that he has used his dark powers to kill this leader. We also see Malcolm Merlyn sat at the table in this meeting and he advises Darhk not to under estimate Oliver, it also appears that the fate of phase 5 now rests with Ruvé winning the race for mayor.

The team are discussing how they can track down Darhk and Laurel heads off to speak to father to check up on him as the team are worried that Darhk may try and take out Captain Lance due to him telling the team the location of his hideout. Just as the pair are discussing the issue Captain Lance receives a call from dispatch that back up if needed at an abandoned warehouse he heads off to help and Laurel decides to tag along to keep an eye on him. The pair arrive at the building and Captain Lance advises Laurel to stay in the car while he goes in to check it out.

Captain Lance enters the building and it appears to be empty with no sign of any officers in trouble as he is looking around an explosion happens knocking him of the platform and onto the floor. Laurel appears to try and rescue her father but then more explosions start to go off bringing the building down around them, the pair manage to escape just in time just as the building collapses in on itself the pair head back to arrow HQ and Diggle helps patch up Captain Lance.

Oliver advises Captain Lance that he needs to lay low for a while as this wont be the last time he might attempt to take his life.While this conversation has been going on Felicity has started work on tracking where the call to Captain Lance came from. Captain Lance calls Debbie to the campaign HQ and says that they need to put some distance between each other for a few weeks and uses the excuse that he has got in to deep with a gambling debt. Debbie does not by this for a second and ends the relationship if he cannot be honest with her.

We later see the Felicity and the team back at Arrow HQ and Felicity has managed to track the source of the call to a warehouse and the team head off to investigate. The team arrive to find three hive mercenaries setting up some bombs in order to erase any trace that they have been there, Diggle gets into a fight with the mercenary who is on patrol while the other three are held back by fire from a nail gun from one of the mercenaries as they plan there escape she fires four nails into the lap top and the trio flea but not before setting off the bombs. Oliver and Laurel go to find Diggle and Thea stays behind to grab the damaged laptop stating she will meet them outside, Thea manages to make it out of the building by jumping through a window moments before the building implodes.

Felicity is unable to gain access to the damaged laptop of she does not have enough power at arrow HQ so decides to visit Palmer tech to enlist the help of Curtis. We see him working on something just as Felicity comes in with the laptop he quickly shuts the screen down when pressed about what he is working on he states that he is working on an engagement for her. Felicity gives the damaged laptop to Curtis and asks if he can pull everything he can off the laptop and send it to her once he has completed the task.

We see Oliver and Thea back at the campaign office and Thea asks Oliver why he lied to her about how he knew Samantha Clayton? Oliver comes clean and tells Thea that she was a girl he was involved with at the same time as he was dating Laurel. Thea then advises her brother that she has looked Samantha up and has seen that she has a son called William, Oliver has no choice but to come completely clean with Thea and advise her that William is his son but he cannot tell anyone as this is the only way he is allowed contact. Oliver is surprised when Thea agrees that this need to be kept from everyone to stop William becoming a target.

Oliver then receives a call from Diggle to advise him that Andy has been digging around the dark web and found the warehouse where hive have been making there explosives and he will meet him there. They both arrive but they are to late and hive have cleaned out all the explosives from the warehouse and whatever they are planning to blow up if must be big.

 

We arrive back at the theater for the night of the debate and Felicity receives a call from Curtis to inform her that he has managed to gain access to the laptop and he is sending over the only piece of intel that was on the laptop. Felicity’s face looks panicked when she see’s that it is plans for the theater and advises Oliver that they need to evacuate the building and Thea decides it’s quicker to pull the fire alarm than wait for Felicity to hack the system.

As all the people leave we see Ruvé call the mercenaries from earlier as they are planting the bombs around the building advising them that there has been a change of plans and that Oliver must not leave the building alive. Team arrow suit up and start there search of the building as Captain Lance arrives on the scene to lend a hand and advising Debbie to stay outside as she was about to go back in and look for Oliver. We see Diggle come face to face with the same guy and sledge hammer he thought earlier in the episode only this time Diggle has some form of gadget to help him reflect the metal from the sledge hammer. Thea and Laurel attempt to take on the woman with the nail gun and Oliver is left to fight the remaining guy.

Luckily Diggle manages to take out his hive mercenary and diffuse his bomb and shortly after this is followed by Thea and Laurel defeating there mercenary and diffusing there bomb. Oliver seems to be having the tougher fight but just in time Captain Lance comes in and shoots the remaining mercenary and Oliver manages to diffuse the three remaining bombs. The debate then takes place and we see from a news report that early indications show that Oliver had won the debate as was favorite to become the next mayor.

We are then taken to Oliver and Felicity’s engagement party we see Captain Lance come clean with Debbie about what was really wrong and that he used to work for hive as Darhk had threatened to hurt Laurel and all is forgiven and the pair rekindle their relationship. Curtis arrives at the party to give Felicity and Oliver his engagement present, Felicity opens the box and is presented with a tiny microchip she thanks Curtis but is not sure what this chip does. Curtis advises her that it is not a chip but in fact an implant that will help her walk again once it has been surgically attached to her spine and that he just needed more power and achieved this by using the new power cell invented at Palmer tech.

The episode comes to an end at the home of Damien Darhk and we see him talk to his daughter announcing they have a new house guest and it’s none other than William. Darhk states that his mum has asked them to look after William for a while begging the question has he killed Samantha? What are his plans for William? and How will Oliver take the news?

We also see the flash backs to Oliver’s time on Lian Yu but as these are now becoming a bit tedious all I will say is Oliver finally gets to kill Conklin.

The Flash SN2 EP14 ‘Escape from Earth-2’

So it’s time for this weeks review of the flash and we find are selves back on Earth 2 to find out if Cisco and Dr Wells can save Barry and also if Jays condition can be helped by Caitlin.

At the beginning of the episode we see Zoom going around the city in search of Dr Wells by handing out pictures with the words bring me Wells on them. We then see Dr Wells watching the news and a clip of a building with the words bring me Wells in flames on the side of it.

Cisco arrives to back at Star labs to fill Dr Wells in on the sequence of events and that Barry has been taken prisoner by Zoom. We see Earth 2 Barry has woken up from being knocked out at the beginning of the last episode. Just as Dr Wells and Cisco are about to explain what has been going on Zoom arrives and the trio head for Dr Wells hidden time room, Zoom manages to figure out where the hidden room is and enters but the three of them are nowhere to be seen it turns out Dr Wells has some sort of visual gun that projects a fake wall to hide behind.

The three of them leave Star labs and head to the police HQ where they fill Earth 2 Iris in on what has been happening. Earth 2 Barry has an alga rhythm to triangulate a point where a meta human may be hiding and uses it to track down Killer Frost in order to gain her help in finding Barry.

The the four of them head off to the woods on the edge of the city to track her down. At the beginning she does not seem to be interested in helping them and attacks them all instead and eventually they manage to surround her before she can hurt Iris. After Cisco manages to talk some sense into her by stating that Zoom killed the man she loves and she agrees to show them where his hideout is located.

We see Barry and Jessie trying to figure out what the other prisoner is tapping on the glass of there cell. They eventually figure out that he is using a form of alphabet that POW prisoners used to communicate. They get as far as Jay and Barry asks if the person means Jay Garrick and they start nodding but then seems upset when Barry states that he didn’t come with them.

Just as they are about to try and get some more information out of there cell mate Zoom turns up and advises the prisoner not to talk to them again. Barry advises Zoom that he will find a way out of his cell and destroy Zoom, just as he finishes his threat Zoom phases through the cell wall and advises Barry he only needs him barely alive to steal his speed force and proceeds to give Barry a beating. He then rushes off in search if Dr Wells and Barry seems to think he has shown him how to escape although Barry tries many times to try and phase through the wall but cannot seem to replicate the effect and it appears this is down to a frequency issue much like in the last episode with Ciscos powers.

Dr Wells, Cisco, Iris, Barry and Killer frost arrive at Zooms lair and it appears to be a huge cavern dug into a cliff side that only a speedster would be able to reach well apart from Killer frost who creates a giant frost column for them to climb up. The team finally reach Barry and they manage to free Jessier but Barry is still unable to phase through the cell wall and advises the team to leave him behind. Earth 2 Barry is not having any of it and advises him that he can do anything he puts his mind to he just has to believe he can do it as Barry concentrates on what he wants he manages to phase through the wall. Barry does not want to leave the other prisoner behind but before he can figure out a way of setting them free Zoom arrives and thanks killer frost for bringing them all to him. He then pushes Dr Wells and the others out of the way and grabs Jessie by the throat and says “I told you I would kill you in front of your father” but before he can kill her Killer frost hits him with a freeze blast.

Cisco thanks her for her help before she advises him that he should get out of there while he can as she is not sure how long she can hold Zoom. Barry promises the other prisoner that he will be back for them. The team arrive back at star labs and Dr Wells advises Iris and Earth 2 Barry that they need to leave Central city to avoid Zoom coming back for them, Dr Wells also tells Jessie that they also need to leave as they won’t be safe on Earth 2 and they plan to go back with Barry and Cisco just as the alarm is sounded it appears Zoom has managed to escape from Killer Frost’s ice blast.

Back on Earth 1 we have seen the return of the meta human Geomancer who has still been causing issues there and has been destroying buildings in order to try and bring out the flash. We see Caitlin has been working on a better version of Velocity 8 after she discovered the last time they used the formula is caused more harm to Jay’s cells she eventually creates Velocity 9 and gives this to Jay when Geomancer collapses a hospital and Jay manages to save everyone involved.

Geomancer eventually tracks Jay down too Star labs but as he is not around he settles for trying to hurt Caitlin and Iris he knocks Caitlin unconscious and then turns his sites to Iris, just as he is about to causes another tremor he is whacked with a shock collar it appears she wasn’t as badly hurt as we thought and Joe arrives to take Geomancer to jail but in causing all the tremors he has caused the last breach to become unstable. Jay says that the only way he they can fix the breach is for Jay to causes a vortex around the breach while Joe resets the containment walls and this is successful just in time for the Velocity 9 to wear off.

Cisco and Jessie are the first two through the portal but it appears Barry and Dr Wells are taking longer than they should be and we go back to Earth 2 to see Zoom holding Dr Wells by the throat. Dr Wells reaches in his pocket and grabs a syringe before plunging it into Zooms chest just as Barry manages to grab Dr Wells and head into the portal and make it back to home. Jay is waiting on the other side the the implosion device to close the breach as he chucks this into the breach the whole team are celebrating but as Jay has his back to the breach Zoom thrusts his hand through Jays chest and drags him back to Earth 2 much to the horror of the group and the episode comes to an end.

Arrow SN4 EP13 – ‘The Sins Of The Father’

So it’s time for my review on the Arrow and this week the story revolves around Oliver’s mission to save Thea’s life and the feud between Malcolm and Nyssa for control of the league of shadows. Also in the episode we have more flash backs of Olive’s time on Lian Yu and we also get to learn more about Felicity’s dad aka The Calculator.

So at the end of episode 12 we saw Nyssa approach Oliver advising him she has a cure that will save Thea in the form of an elixir called the lotus but in order for her to give it to Oliver he would have to kill Malcolm Merlyn. Now Nyssa’s request is brought from selfish need as the only reason she wants Malcolm dead is so that she can gain control of the league of shadows. Oliver pleads with her to give him the cure to save Thea he even brings up the fact that they are husband and wife and that Thea is also her family.

Oliver arranges a meeting with Malcolm to try and talk him into giving up his leadership of the league in order to save Thea’s life. Malcolm is not very interested in giving up his leadership as he does not believe that Nyssa has the lotus elixir and tells Oliver that he may be very handsome but he’s not very smart. Oliver sends Laurel to try and reason with Nyssa in order to try and gain the lotus or at least some form of proof that she actually has the elixir. Laurel tries to appeal to Nyssa sense of family values by trying to bring Sara into the conversation as well as tells her that everything that has happened has been because of her Father. Nyssa gives Laurel a sample of the lotus which she takes back as proof and in wasting no time Oliver gives itto Thea in front of Malcolm and we see her chest wound heal.

Malcolm agrees to meet with Nyssa to hand over the ring giving her leadership of the league but in true Malcolm style this is all a ploy and we see a group of assassins come from behind him and a fight ensues between both sides. Nyssa flees with her group of assassins and Malcolm and his team give chase only for there path to be blocked by Oliver and Diggle telling Malcolm that if he wants Nyssa he will need to go through him. Back at Arrow HQ we see a very angry Oliver trying to figure out why Malcolm has done this and the team are unable to locate him or his assassins until Felicity advises there has been breach and someone is with Thea, Oliver rushes down to her aid only to find Malcolm checking up on her.

Oliver asks Malcolm if being Ra’s al Ghul is more important to him than the life of his own daughter, Malcolm replies that the reason he is reluctant to give up his position is that he knows what the league is capable of in the hands of the wrong people. He then says to Oliver ‘What would you do if Damian Dahrk told you to hang up the hood and let him complete his plan for Star city in order to save his son William?’ Oliver has a shocked look on his face which Malcolm notices and says ‘I’m Ra’s al Ghul I know everything there is to know about you’

Oliver sends Laurel out again to try and locate Nyssa and bring her to Arrow HQ in order to try and find another way to make her part with the lotus. Laurel eventually tracks her down and refuses to let her pass unless she can see reason this is short lived as some of Malcolm’s assassins show up to try and take out Nyssa and her men a fight ensues in the street and there are casualties on both sides and even some of the public are hit with arrows.Oliver and Diggle arrive to lend a hand and once the assassins have been seen to Oliver knocks Nyssa unconscious and takes her to a cell at the HQ. We find out that Nyssa is scared that she will not be able to defeat Malcolm on her own and this is why she has been asking Oliver to do this for her it is finally decided that there is only one way to end this and that is in true league style of a trial by combat.

The smoke signal is sent and both sides and all of team arrow arrive on a roof top for the final show down, Malcolm makes a remark that in the interest of Nyssa’s dignity they shall forgo the removal of shirts. Just as the trial is about to begin Oliver shouts wait and announces that as Nyssa’s husband he will fight in her place in the trial much to the shock of everyone involved. The fight starts and after a very even fight between the two Oliver gains the upper had and disarms Malcolm sending him to his knees, Oliver takes the final swing of the sword but instead of killing Malcolm he chops off his hand with the ring on and hands it to Nyssa. Nyssa gives Oliver the rest of the lotus elixir and we see Thea brought back from the brink of death completely unaware of what has happened.

At the end of the episode we see a meeting between Oliver, Nyssa, Laurel and Malcolm only to see Nyssa drop the ring of the league of shadows into a fire and advising all three of them that she has disbanded the league and that her father will no longer be responsible for hurting anyone else. Malcolm turns to Oliver after this and advises that he is not going to kill Oliver as this would be to quick of a mercy and that he has other plans to make him suffer before his death. It doesn’t take long and we see Malcolm meet up with Darhk and advise him that there is someone Oliver Queen loves more than Felicity and that is his son William. (Maybe Oliver would have been better off killing Malcolm when he had the chance.)

Also in this episode we see a flashback once again of Oliver’s time on Lian Yu and we see that Oliver is still locked away in his cell with Vlad’s sister Taiana caring for him. Oliver is trying to make amends with Taiana for killing her brother and opens up about how he ended up on Lian Yu and the fact his dad sacrificed his life in order for Oliver to live so that he could correct his wrongs. He also shows her the stone that he brought out of his vision from the last episode stating that this is something that Reiter needs to find what he is looking for. She waste no time in grabbing the stone from Oliver and demanding to speak to Reiter immediately as he arrives he states that he is not usually summoned by his prisoners but Taiana states that she has something that he wants and shows him the stone he grabs it from her and disappears.

We later see him return to thank him for the last piece of the map and he can now finally find what he has been looking for on the island, He also advises Oliver that he must rest and regain his strength as they start the dig tomorrow. Oliver looks a little confused by this as Reiter states that what he has been looking for is not in the heavens but in the ground beneath them.

The third story arc we see in this episode is between Felicity and her father who also happens to be the calculator. It starts off with the pair meeting for coffee and Felicity trying to find out why her father has left it for so long to make contact with her, he answers with he could not contact her due the police and FBI looking for him. He then states that they are not that different this is something that Felicity takes offence to as he was planning on killing thousands of people and she does what she does to stop people like him. He advises her that he never  intended to carry out the explosion and that he had put fail safes in place to stop that happening, this proves to much for Felicity and she decides to leave but before she can he hands her a flash drive with all the things he has done since he disappeared to show he has been doing some good.

Felicity calls her mum and as she arrives she can see that something is troubling her and Felicity comes clean and advises her that her father is back and that he said he has changed and wants a relationship with her. Her mum advises her that he is not a good man and will never change who he is, Felicity decides to put this to the test and invites her farther to Palmer tech to have an all access tour of the building. As you would imagine they end up in the tech lab of the building and he seems very interested in the work she has been doing since she has been there.

We later find out that after her father had left the lab he has planted a bug that was trying to download all the data files from Palmer tech so at least Felicity now has her answer on whether or not she can trust her father. Felicity invites him back to Palmer tech and immediately confronts him about this actions, just as he is trying to defend what he has done Felicity interrupts him and says she does not want him to be part of her life and that she had not other choice. He turns around to see Captain Lance arriving with two officers to place him under arrest for the crimes he has committed.

The Flash SN2 EP13 – ‘Welcome to Earth 2’

It’s time for this weeks review of The Flash and this week we finally get a trip to Earth 2 and we finally get to see what the what Meta humans they have in store for us. So without further ado lets get started.

So last week we saw Barry and the team agree to go to Earth 2 to help Dr Wells save his daughter from Zoom despite him betraying the team and giving some of Barry’s speed force to Zoom. The episode starts with Barry speeding his way around Central city closing all of the open breaches, all apart from the final one at Star labs which they will use to travel to Earth 2. As Barry, Dr Wells and Cisco get set to leave for Earth 2 we see Barry spend the evening with Joe and Iris and talks to them about why he has to help Dr Wells.

Just as the three are about to leave we see Cisco give Caitlin at letter to give to his family incase he does not return from the trip. The only way to reach Earth 2 is for Barry to speed through the last remaining breach whilst holding onto Dr Wells and Cisco, they are told not to pay any attention to anything they see while travelling through the breach. Barry speeds off through the portal but in doing so causes an energy surge to the breach and a piece of the containment field to come off rolling towards Caitlin but Jay manages to reach her just in time. Joe and Caitlin ask Jay what happened to which he replies when we closed all the other breaches there must have been a power surge when they used the last open breach and that if they cannot repair the containment field then Barry and Cisco will be trapped on Earth 2.

We see Barry, Dr Wells and Cisco arrive safe and sound on Earth 2 in the basement of Star labs there are on there way to Dr Wells office and we see Barry and Cisco still caught up in arriving in earth 2 and how different things are. They make it Wells office and who do we see being interviewed on TV but none other than Earth 2 Barry Allen and it appears he is still a forensic scientist working for the CCPD if not more nerdy and wearing a bowtie and is still working with Detective West. Barry says he has an idea and before we no it he shoots off and arrives back at Star labs with his Earth 2 self who is seems to be more excited at being in Star labs and meeting Dr Wells than how he actually got there causing Barry to use a taser to knock out Earth 2 Barry in order to assume his identity to blend in on Earth 2 and gain some information about Earth 2.

Barry arrives at the CCPD to be greeted by Detective West in the form of Iris and not Joe so we see our first difference from Earth 1 and Earth 2 and it also turns out that Barry and Iris are married. The pair arrive back at there house which happens to be the same house Joe and Barry live in on Earth 1, Iris turns to Barry and says your mum called earlier and you can see Barry is shocked to learn that his mum is still alive on Earth 2 and wastes not time in calling her to hear her voice and have a conversation. The pair arrive to meet Earth 2 Joe and we find out that Joe is a lounge singer and not a cop and we also find out that Joe and Barry from Earth 2 do not get along as Joe blames Barry for Iris becoming a cop due to leaving the paper so that she could pay for Barry to get his degree and become a CSI.

We next get to see the Earth 2 versions of Caitlin and Ronnie and it appears that Caitlin is a meta human on Earth 2 and Ronnie is still Firestorm. We also find out that the pair are working for Zoom as they kill a group of bank robbers for pulling off a job without Zoom’s permission. The pair head off after this as Ronnie has received news that a group of breachers have arrived on Earth 2 and Zoom has tasked them with bringing them to him, the pair turn up at the night spot where Barry, Iris and Joe are as the have heard that this is where the breacher is hiding. Iris pulls her gun on Caitlin and Ronnie and advises them that they are both under arrest, Barry calls to Caitlin and she is shocked by this as it appears no one has used her real name in years and she actually goes by the name Killer Frost and hates being called Caitlin. She then fires some ice-sickles at Iris and Barry luckily he manages to flip a table in time to stop them from hitting the spot Joe steps in to try and attack Caitlin but Ronnie hits him square in the chest with a fire ball and Joe flies across the bar and looks badly hurt.

Barry engages his speed force and grabs Caitlin and Ronnie and gets them outside revealing that he is one of the breachers. After a brief fight Caitlin is injured and Ronnie tells Barry that is isn’t over and they will meet again. We go to the hospital where Joe has been taken and after chat with Barry they bury the hatchet and Joe asks Barry to care take of Iris before he sadly passes away. Iris has her heart set on revenge and takes off in search of Killer Frost and Firestorm she takes her partner who happens to be Deadshot only he is called this ironically on Earth 2 as he is the worst shot in the department Cisco goes with the pair as he has made an invention to take down Killer Frost.

The trio arrive at an abandoned warehouse and manage to track down Caitlin and Ronnie a fight breaks out and Barry eventually arrives on the scene to lend a helping hand. Just as we think things can’t get any more complicated we finally get to see Earth 2 Cisco or as he is called on Earth 2 Reverb and it also appears he is working for Zoom he and Cisco have a brief chat before Reverb hits Barry in the back with a shock wave Cisco is shocked that he has that sort of power and Reverb states that the only reason he can’t do this is that he is limited by his fear of his power. We then see Reverb offer Cisco the chance to join him and rule Earth 2 and take out Zoom this plan is short lived as Zoom arrives just as Ronnie agrees to join them and not live in Zooms shadow, this does not work out well for the pair and Zoom kills them both using the same trick the Reverse flash used too kill Cisco back in season 1.

Zoom then grabs Killer Frost and advises he will let her live as she did not agree to join the other two in there betrayal before grabbing Barry and speeding off. We then see Barry come to after being knocked out in a cell and he then spots Dr Wells daughter in the cell across from him and promises her that he will get them out just as Zooms arrives to tell Barry that he is never going to be leaving Earth 2 as the episode comes to an end.

Also in this episode we finally get to find out what is making Jay sick when a new meta human comes to Central city causing tremors all over the city trying to lure the flash out to face him. Joe suggests that Jay uses the velocity 6 serum again in order to repay Barry’s sacrifice of going to save Earth 2, Jay refuses stating that he cannot take that serum again after some questioning by Caitlin we find out that when Jay first became a speedster he was obsessed with getting faster and faster. It turns out that he was abusing velocity 6 and this was the cause of the disease which is killing him, Caitlin promises to help him come up with a better serum that will not cause him any harm. We then see Jay show up the next time the new meta human returns and after knocking him over by sending vibrations through his helmet to do so the only downside is the new velocity 7 serum only lasts for a short amount of time.

UFC Fight Night 85 Hunt vs Mir Review

So this weekend we saw a heavyweight UFC fight between Mark ‘Super Samoan’ Hunt vs Frank Mir in Brisbane you can read the review of the fight below.

The fight starts off slowly and eventually we see Hunt land an early heavy leg kick on Mir trying to wear him down early. Shortly after this we see Hunt land a a good right and send Mir briefly down to the mat but he quickly recovers and gets back to the fight. Mir attempts a jab but this is easily slipped by Hunt, Mir attempts the same jab again and this time it lands on Hunt but does not cause any damage and the fight continues on at a slow pace.

Hunt then attempts to land a high kick to the head of Mir but the shot is blocked but we then see Hunt continue to move forward and land a combination of punches on Mir, the fight is looking very one sided at this point with Hunt getting all the success. Hunt follows this up by swinging two back to back wild right both of which missing the mark.

We get down to the last 2 minutes of the 1st round and Hunt lands an absolute beauty of a right hand just behind the ear of Mir sending him  crashing down on the mat, rather than storm Mir whilst he is on the floor Hunt simply walks off shaking his head knowing full well that the fight is over just as we see the ref signalling the end of the fight.

In the post fight press conference Hunt was asked why he just walked off after knocking Mir out? His reply was “His face was still…he wasn’t there, so I just left it. He wasn’t there. He was out, somewhere else.” after some laughter from the audience Hunt went into a bit more detail stating “Well, it’s true, He wasn’t there. He was blacked out.” after following up that he would like to get back to fighting the guys at the top of the heavyweight division.

Arrow SN4 EP12 – ‘Unchained’

So it’s time for this week’s  review of Arrow and it brings with it the return of 3 characters from previous seasons  and also we return to the flash backs of Oliver on Lian Yu so without further ado this jump right on in.

So the main story line this week revolves around the introduction of a new villain called the Calculator and a hired thief who we see the team come face to face with at the start of the episode after stealing his first piece of tech and also where we see there is something not quite right with Thea. Oliver goes it alone on his second attempt at catching the thief and after a brief chase we find out it is none other than Roy Harper. The team are shocked by the revelation as Roy used to be on Team Arrow as Arsenal before heading to Hub city via Monument point this is a lot to process especially with the teams concerns around Thea’s health.

The team eventually catch up with Roy at Palmer tech as he is trying to steal the last piece of tech the Calculator needs to make a web bomb that could take out the entire internet, Felicity notices something different about Roy’s eyes and whispers something in Oliver’s ear piece prompting him to shoot Roy with a tranquiliser arrow. The team get Roy back to the secret hideout and find that Roy has a special lens in his eye that transmits what he is seeing before waking Roy up to find out what is going on.  He explains that someone found out who he really was and threatened to expose him as not being The Arrow as the police thought and he wanted to protect Oliver.

This prompts Felicity to try and back trace where the lens has been transmitting back to and having the team’s first encounter with the Calculator who eventually manages to block her out of his systems (Has Felicity finally met her technological equal?) She later realises that the web nuke could also be used as a bomb to blow a water treatment plant, Gas main plant or an electrical plant causing thousands of people to be killed. Eventually the team track down the Calculator’s team and manage to stop the attack or so they thought as the Calculator has put a block on any electrical devices being used near the bomb. Roy who has joined the team to help out says that he is the only one who can out run the blast so offers to stay back and destroy the bomb with an explosive arrow and luckily makes it out in time.

Also in this episode we see Thea almost taking a fall over the edge of a building on the first run in with Roy we find out that this is due to the effects of the Lazerus pit and her not feeding her blood lust from Malcolm Merlyn. Oliver asks why this never happened with Sara only to be told that when Constantine cast his incantation he restored the balance of the Lazerus pit. Oliver is beginning to worry that all of this is his fault due to the decisions he has made the team try to reassure him that it is not all his fault cue the flash backs of Oliver’s time on Lian Yu to begin. We see Oliver being tortured for information on his glowing tattoo from episode 10, Oliver eventually passes out and sees a vision of Shadow killing his captors and teaching him that he needs to forgive himself for all the lives he has had to take and he starts by admitting to Vlad’s sister that it was him that killed Vlad and not Conklin as he has told her.

We also see the return of Nyssa still being held Captive in Nanda Parbat but this only last for a moment as she is slipped a blade by another woman from the League as the pair manage to kill some of the guards and make their escape it appears not everyone is happy with Malcolm as the new Ra’s Al Ghul. She makes it to a clearing in the forest only to come face to face with none other than Tatsu, Nyssa advises her that she has come for something called the lotus  but Tatsu has been tasked with protecting this and the pair draw their swords and begin to fight. It turns out the pair are evenly matched with a blade and instead of fighting the night away Nyssa advises Tatsu that she needs the lotus to help Oliver.

We also see Felicity struggling to run Palmer tech and keep them out of bankruptcy but there is hope in the new power cell battery they are planning on announcing in a few days (The same battery the Calculator was after). She struggles through a practice run of her presentation in front of one of the board members who suggests she leaves the presenting to someone more capable. Later we see Felicity flying around the lab at Palmer tech in her chair frantically looking for a piece of tech to help trace the Calculator. Curtis tells her that she should be this kind of Felicity that is doing the presentation and she eventually agrees and knocks the launch out of the park, we see none other than the Calculator in the audience sat next to Oliver and leans in and says that she is very talented. After Oliver congratulates Felicity and leaves we see the Calculator appear behind Felicity as she turns around she has a shocked look on her face and can only mutter the words “Dad”.

The episode comes to an end and it appears Thea has taken a turn for the worse and is in hospital in an induced coma, Cue Nyssa walking in to announce she has an elixir that can cure Thea but in return Oliver must kill Malcolm Merlyn.

The Flash SN2 EP12 – ‘Fast Lane’

So this weeks episode starts with a flash back to the night of the particle accelerator explosion at a tar factory with two men holding another man over a boiling vat of tar after some the two men get the information they need they drop the guy into the vat below. As the pair are leaving we see the explosion in the distance and they high tail it out of there, we then see the blast catch the drowning mans foot before he is fully submerged. We there arrive back in the present day to see the tar factory being demolished and as a digger disturbs the ground we see a puddle of wet tar appear and then a hand pop out from this puddle we have ourselves a new meta human.

We then see Dr Wells from Earth 2 working on a piece of tech that will allow him to drain Barry’s speed a bit at a time so that he can give it to Zoom but before he can complete his build he is interrupted by Barry who wants to help him with what he is working on. Wells tries his best to put him off by suggesting Earth 2 technology is to advanced for Barry to understand and that he prefers to work on his own. Barry doesn’t take no for an answer and proceeds to read all the books Wells has in double quick time and sets about trying to help Dr Wells with what he thinks is a way of stopping Zoom and saving his daughter.

After Barry trying to connect with the new Dr Wells by telling him he felt like this was like the old days and that the previous Dr Wells was like a mentor to him at which point Earth 2 Wells snaps and throws a board eraser at Barry’s head stating that he will eventually betray them all and if he was made to choose between his daughter and Barry he would pick his Daughter every time.

We then get to see the new meta human in the form of a tar puddle on the floor of a garage owned by none other by one of the guys who dropped him into the tar at the beginning of the episode. The new Meta human explains what it felt like to be dropped into that tar before deciding to show him instead, Barry and Joe arrive on the scene to investigate the murder and can tell this was a work of a meta human and he will take a sample to Cisco to analyse back at Star labs.

We see Dr Wells finish his piece of tech back at Star labs and manages to fix it to Barry’s suit under the flash symbol just as Barry and Cisco are discussing Ciscos new app that helps track meta humans from his phone. The app goes off and Barry goes off to face the new meta human Cisco has named Tar pit, as Barry is hurtling towards danger Wells activates another piece of tech that seems to storing the speed force of Barry as he is producing it. Barry faces off against Tar pit and manages to stop him by setting off a fire hydrant he then takes the second attended victim who was the other guy who helped create Tar pit to the police HQ for answers on why he after him.

When Barry gets back to Star labs we see Cisco ask Barry if he is feeling ok as he was moving slower than he normally does, Barry replies that he is feeling fine just a bit tired. We then see that Dr Wells has come up with a way of stopping Tar pit by using nitrous grenades and that this will help freeze Tar pit and not allow him to fry his next victim. We then see Dr Wells waiting at a warehouse and who appears none other than Zoom, Dr wells gives Zoom the speed force that he drained from Barry and then advises if he gets his daughter back he will help him drain off all Barry’s speed force. Zoom grabs Wells by the shoulder and advises that he will not give him back his daughter until he has helped him fully drain Barry and that he will torture his daughter for fun over and over again unless he does.

During this episode we also see Iris and Joe try and talk Wally out of continuing his illegal drag racing but this does not go down well and Wally walks out to attend another race, Iris makes guest appearance at this race and advises Wally she is going to do a piece on the racing for the paper. This also does not go down well as this is the last thing that people at these type of races want, Iris also spots the guy who appears to be organising these races and manages to sneak a picture of him for her story. Iris later visits the organiser and threatens too write the article about the races, he does not take to kindly to this and threatens to hurt Iris if she runs the story only for Iris to reveal that she has been recoding the whole conversation.

We see Wally show up to confront Iris about her visit and to warn her to back off as these are not the kind of people to be messed with. Iris advises Wally that he does not need to race anymore as the hospital bills for his mum have been paid in full and she doesn’t eat to see him wrapped around a tree, Wally leaves advising Iris that if she turns up to another race he wont be able to protect her. The team are trying to piece together how the two men that have been targeted by Tar pit know each other, it turns out they were all in prison together even two of them sharing a cell together. They manage to find out who the other person was sharing with and it turns out to be none other than the guy organising the drag races just in time for Iris to show up and say she knows where to find him.

As they Iris and Joe show up Wally is about to start his latest race as the two racers speed off the tarmac in from of them begins to bobble making the two high speed cars start bouncing around. We see a large piece of the tarmac appear in front of Wally’s car as he’s goes up this ramp it aims his car back towards the spectators and the race organiser, Barry turns up and manages to get Wally out of the car in time before seeing the car flying towards Iris. Barry sets off to stop any debris hitting Iris and he manages to push away a wing mirror but cannot seem to catch a rather sharp looking piece of glass heading towards Iris no matter how hard he tries and it ends up hitting her in the shoulder.

Luckily Iris is taken to the hospital and the injury isn’t serious and she is going to need to rest up. We go back to star labs and the team are trying to figure out why Barry has been getting slower and we find out that Barry’s speed force has decreased by 2%, eventually Dr Wells can’t take it anymore and advises that team that is was him and shows them the device and that he is working with Zoom to get his daughter back. Joe loses it and punches Wells in the face and chucks him in one of the Meta human cells before he kills him. Barry and Joe then go off to deal with Tar pit once and for all by using the guy the arrested earlier as bait and sure enough Tar pit takes it and ends up being nailed with two nitrous grenades by Barry.

The episode end with Barry saying that the team need to decide if they are going to send Dr Wells back to Earth 2 and then uses the implosion grenades that Wells has designed to close the portal. The team go down to the cells and Dr Wells thinks this is goodbye and they have agreed to let him go home only for Barry to announce that they are a team and they would not send him back alone and they will be coming with him to Earth 2.
