Ubisofts ‘Assassins Creed’ Movie Wraps

Can’t wait for this – Skatronixxx

Fans of the Parkour roaming Assassins Creed are one step closer to seeing their favourite game realised on screen as Ubisoft’s movie wraps. A picture from the last day filming was posted by head of content Azaïzia Aymar confirmed to be have taken on January 15.

I can’t wait for this film YAY!!! – Skatronixxx

The film is expected to be the first in a projected franchise mirroring Ubisoft’s succession of games revolving around a secret society of Assassins and they never-ending fight through the ages against the Knights Templar.

It was revealed by Yahoo! back in August last year that the movie will be an original story with Michael Fassbender portraying Callum Lynch who was “created specifically for the film.” The movie will follow Lynch who “discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar.” Fans should expect the movie to reflect the games format with Lynch time-hoping between the modern day and 15th century Spain where he must gain the knowledge and skills “to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day.”

Actress Marion Cotillard will also appear alongside Fassbender in an as-of-yet undisclosed role. But Ubisoft have confirmed that the movie will exist within the same universe as the games, with the modern day setting a key element in the film. Could Cotillard be a blast from the gaming past? Wouldn’t be the first time she has portrayed a character who is revealed to be an integral part of the cinematic past, just ask Batman.

Given cinema’s past failures with adapting games to celluloid. Assassins Creed fans have become increasingly worried after the films lead actor admitted in December to Entertainment Weekly that he “hadn’t played it before these guys approached me.” Although this isn’t a crime worthy of incarceration, although i’m sure ardent fans would believe otherwise. The actor did at least revealthat he has since played at least one of Ubisofts many titles in order “to get an idea of the physicality of the character.”

Phew, panic over.

NXT Hot Takes With @Mitch_Rated – 13th January 2016

nxt

Hot women in lycra? I’m there *SORRY* hehe – Skatronixxx

Welcome wrestling-peeps to my first NXT blog of 2016 and what a first blog its gonna be. We have the #1 Contender to the NXT Women’s title decided, a Triple-Threat match scheduled for two weeks time to decide a #1 contender for the NXT title. And perhaps most exciting of all, the return of Tommaso Ciampa. Yeah … bet you didn’t see that coming.

So here we are, NXT is back for 2016 and things got off to a hot start with the return of William Regal after some-sort-of-surgery. I’ll be honest, not so read up on this as perhaps I should be but legit worried about ol’ Willy because homeboy was not looking as fresh as he should be. Gaunt and a tad bit pasty-faced, not trying to be a hater, but concerned that maybe the GM of NXT should take time off to recover. Look after yourself Regal, you living legend.

Regal does the usual pomp and ceremony of buoying the fans spree-decor. NXT had a great 2015 yadda-yadda and its all down to us fans. First of all NXT did indeed have a great 2015 and yes maybe Fandom got bigger in the year that was 2015. But damn, with great programming and TakeOvers given to us for the low-low price that is £9.99. You better believe i’m watching.

So “Thank You Regal” but THANK YOU NXT.

And perhaps a special thank you should go to the handling of women on the brand because lets face it, NXT is a separate brand now. In the hierarchy that is wrestling shows within the WWE, it goes RAW, NXT, SmackDown! and those other shows that nobody watches and sometimes get uploaded onto the Network, just £9.99 folks. I’d arguable put NXT at the top but you know, I’m writing this blog so go figure right.

Go women’s wrestling. Thats the attitude that NXT take with their female wrestlers, yes wrestlers. They don’t become Divas until they reach the Main roster and suddenly gain an inherently bad moniker that is commonly associated with Mariah Carey at the hight of her fame. These women-wrestlers are continuously handled with care and given main event booking that matters, as evident by the nights Battle Royale to find the #1 Contender to Bayley’s title. Woah, things got a tad ranty there.

With the main event booked we saw the return of jiggy-jiggy-dancey-dancey Sami Zayn with a dope Flat-cap and jacket. Side note, I want that jacket. With Zayn back in the ring he was down to business hyping the crowded and mentioning last months TakeOver London. Even if he did spit in the eye of this TakeOver attendee with his “no place like coming home” comment. Hey dude, we cheered the shit out of you man and you rag on me like this … J-K internet, J-K Zayn, still love your fuzzy face.

After announcing himself “responsible for building NXT” out stomps Samoa Joe looking ready to snap Zayn in two and perhaps even feed on his still beating heart. Sorry bro, got a sick imagination. But Joe looks scary in NXT, given all the time wasted on TNA, and sorry that was wasted time given how overlooked he was towards the end of his tenure with the number 2 wrestling show in America. Joe looks like he is having fun out there and it shows. The same can’t be said for pouty Baron Corbin. Seriously, if that guy was any stiffer on the mic, Hacksaw Jim Duggan could use him as his favourite piece of weaponry. J-K Corbin, don’t kill me … please.

That being said, Corbin in the title picture … I aint mad at it. I know the guy has a long way to go and I know it appears like he couldn’t give the F-ing F about the business. But the dude has the look, height and I believe he will gain the wrestling skills to make it in the business. If he starts giving the F that is.

After the shenanigans that goes down in the ring between these three, Regals announcement that all three men will fight it out in a Triple-Threat match in two weeks time was a no-brainer. Any combination from this three against reigning champ Finn Balor is a win in my eyes. But its Zayn right … no? We will see.

Anywho, onto the first match of the night and what a match it was. No seriously, that Ciampa fellow really impressed me. With Neville up on the main roster languishing in obscurity, its about time we got a fast-offence-type-dude (minus the gravity-defying high-spots of course) who is able to put himself over. And that reverse mat arm-bar for the win was impressive.

The Tag Champs Dash & Dawson are up next and as Corey Graves and Tom Phillips, who apparently went somewhere because he is welcomed back (did I miss something), keep telling us must be pissed because they lost out to Enzo & Cass in the NXT: End of Year Awards for Tag Team of the year. I dunno guys, they always look pissed to me.

The Ascension is back in NXT guys, yay. That really is sarcasm because whenever these guys come back home, its to put over another tag team. Big surprised what happened tonight then.

We cut backstage for a big upset because Nia Jax wont be cleared to compete in tonights Battle Royal. Apparently Bayley’s choke-out at TakeOver London has had lingering damage to her throat or what not. Big takeaway is that Jax is out of the title hunt (for now) and Eva Marie couldn’t be happier for her supposed ally.

On to Elias Sampson who mysterious mopes to the ring to face newcomer (I assume) Corey Hollis who doesn’t stand a chance. I mean NXT normally gives superstars a chance but Hollis got destroyed by a headlock and a series of punches and kicks before being quickly dispatched by a Neckbreaker. Sampson seems to be living the gimmick but forgetting that skills in the ring help you to survive. I see that NXT have got plans for this chap but I just want to see him wrap that Guitar around someone’s noggin already.

We finally reach the diamond in the rough which is the Women’s Battle Royale. Everyone that isn’t a name in NXT is already in the ring as Alexa Bliss, Emma, Carmella, Eva Marie and Auska make their entrance. Pause for thought, why Alexa Bliss hasn’t received a notable singles feud given the heat she garners from a small Full Sail crowed is beyond me.

The match is suitable long but I need to thank Corey Graves for reminding us that these wrestlers have to go over the top rope in a Battle Royale. A rule seemingly forgotten on the main roster, with Divas eliminating one another via any-which-way. Guess rules are made to be broken and forgotten apparently. Sorry, ranty again.

With many of the named wrestlers like Emma, Auska and Alexa dominating the match it was impressive that little Liv Morgan went for broke in her debut match by Powerbombing Cameron. Granted, she biffed it the first time but the scrappy newcomer picked up the former Funkadactyl and lifted her over the tope rope. Instant stand-out moment.

Eventually Auska single handily took out Peyton Royce and Billie Kay for the win, or so she thought. In fact Eva Marie had been lying in wait on the outside of the ring and eliminated Auska for the win, erm maybe not. For Carmella use to same tactic and flipped all-red-everything over the top rope becoming the #1 Contender to her best friend Bayley’s NXT title.

Carmella’s win unsurprisingly got a massive pop from the crowd. Not only has she worked hard to gain favour with the NXT fans, continuously improving in the ring. But I think even Cameron could have eliminated Eva Marie and received the same fan-fare. Girl-Bye.

Overall not mad at it. WWE is old-hat at using the synergy from other shows and using it in the ring. If using the real-life friendship between Bayley and Carmella shown to us on Breaking Ground gives somebody new a shot at the title, I’m all for it. Even if it is a stop off before Bayley and Nia Jax round 2.

Thats fine. I can wait.

‘Supergirl’: Whats Next For J’onn J’onzz?

jj

Hank Henshaw is J’onn J’onzz? DAMN – Skatronixxx

Partway through the first-half CBS’ Supergirl, the show delivered an unexpected reveal that DEO Director Hank Henshaw was in fact Justice Leaguer J’onn J’onzz aka The Martian Manhunter.

In a set vist by IGN, actor David Harewood revealed that “I didn’t actually know at all that I was going to be playing J’onn J’onzz when I did the pilot. The pilot was, I would say, a little bit of an uncomfortable experience, because I couldn’t really find an angle with Hank. A lot of the pilot was very expositional, so it wasn’t particularly easy to say, it wasn’t particularly easy to enjoy.”

Harewood further explained that once the producers let him in on the truth behind his character he felt excited to portray the comic book hero. The producers even gave him a pile of comics to read, opening his mind to another side of the Martian Manhunter. “I thought this character had such an amazing story, backstory, and amazing mythology. And I had no idea that he was so popular amongst the DC community, and also amongst the black community, who have seen J’onn J’onzz as almost the kind of honorary black person, which is… I was really happy about.”

J’onn J’onzz ultimately reveals himself to Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) after she starts to suspect that Henshaw is not totally as he seems given that he is last person to see her father, Jereminah Danvers (Dean Cain), alive. “We’re actually going see how J’onn became Hank in an upcoming episode”, confirmed showrunner Andrew Kreisberg. “I think part of Hank Henshaw that we see on our show, that J’onn is inhabiting, is an affect. He is inhabiting… he is impersonating somebody. But I do think that there is an aspect of… You know, the character Hank Henshaw is supposed to be protecting the world from destruction.”

Kreisberg also highlighted that J’onzz is ideally placed to understand what Supergirl aka Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) is going through: “like Kara, who lost everything. He lost his family; his wife; his children. He is truly the last survivor.” With executive producer Ali Adler adding that “As much experience as Hank brings to Kara, in terms of the D.E.O. in the world, Kara brings this new coming out, in terms of being herself. And I think for J’onn J’onzz, who doesn’t know his familiar form anymore, he’s been around a long, long time, and he’s never been able to walk amongst humans the way that Kara has. And so I think she does a lot of teaching, in ways, and it’s really sweet.”

Since the pilot episode many fans had assumed that Harewoods Henshaw would ultimately become the Cyborg-Superman from the comics, a theory that was confirmed by Creator Greg Berlanti: “We knew we were going to have a twist with Hank’s character and it was perhaps going to be in the vein of Cyborg Superman. We talk with DC at the beginning of the year and ask what characters might we be able to have, who is where, who are we maybe going to use. For a little while, I think they had talked about doing a Martian Manhunter series, so I never thought that was on the table. But when everybody saw what David was doing and saw an opportunity, we thought, ‘Wow, if you’re going to have a human embodiment of J’onn J’onzz, this is who we want.’”

Marvel’s ‘Infinity War’ Could Have Up To 67 Characters

aiw
2018 but I want it now *sulks* – Skatronixxx

The count-down to Marvel’s Infinity War has already begun. Once we have navigated the murky waters of the Russo brothers Civil War, the fight to save Earth, the Galaxy and even the Universe from Thanos becomes the imminent threat.

So of course with a great threat such as the mad Titan, to steal a newbies motto, comes a great responsibility. And when the threat is that large, why not throw 67 superheroes at the situation and see if it sticks.

“We have so many characters we’re dealing with,” revealed Joe Russo in an interview with ComicBookMovie. “We’re breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it.”

With production still in the early stages, it’s too early to confirm who indeed will be in the Infinity War Part 1 and 2. But with many solo movies currently in the vault and with Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Panther and InHumans scheduled for release before the ultimate fight for survival hits our screens. It’s safe to assume any facsimile of all the current and future crop of heroes could certainly be in the mix.

Although the Russo’s have made it clear that fans would “not be disappointed” by the cast. Joe seemed to remain tight lipped as to whether The Guardian’s of the Galaxy will be making an appearance. “That is another one that we would have to reserve as a surprise, but we will say this – people will not be disappointed in the amount of characters in the movie.”

The director did however state: “The concept of Infinity War is that the Marvel universe unites to battle the greatest threat to the world and universe that you’ve ever seen, and we’re going to honour that concept.”

Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 debuts in spring 2018, with Part 2 following in 2019.

‘The 100’ Season 3 Preview

jt

It’s Janae Timmins gone wild – Skatronixxx

The 100 stands amongst the TV landscape as one of the most underrated shows currently airing. Maybe its the Sci-Fi aspect that puts the kibosh on them giving it a chance or the comparisons to Lost which unfairly steers people away from giving it too much of their time.

Whatever the reason, loyal fans of The 100 know what those dweebs are missing out on and Season 3 looks to be a wild ride they may convince the naysayers to jump on board.

At the recent TCA’s (Television Critics Association), The 100 held a panel to hype the upcoming season. Alongside showrunner Jason Rothenberg, cast members Eliza Taylor (Clarke), Paige Turco (Abby), Marie Avgeropoulos (Octavia), Lindsey Morgan (Raven), Adina Porter (Indra) and Alycia Debnam-Carey (Lexa) were on hand to tease us with the next chapter in the shows journey and give us hints of what to expect.

“We tell a lot of stories in [the Grounder capitol] Polis this season,” explained Rothenberg, before revealing that season 3 will explore the Grounders more thoroughly than previous seasons. With Debnam-Carey adding that aspects of “Their politics. Their spiritual history. How they’ve adapted things from what the world use to be” will be explained as the show progress. Rothenberg also elaborated on the events of Season 2 revealing that there is a “civil war brewing” in the capitol as a result, with the Grounders being posed with the question, “Can these people overcome their internal stuff to overcome a catastrophe?”

One of the more captivating events of Season 2 was the unlikely alliance between the Grounders and Sky people, with Lexa and Clarke at the forefront of their respective sides. Theirs was a necessary yet fractious relationship that towards the seasons end boiled over into passion, signalled by a single kiss before they went to war against Mount Weather in the season finale. It was an LGBT relationship that was a slow burn but handled very matter-of-factly, which Debnam-Carey explaining, “It’s the fact that it’s not addressed that makes it so powerful.”

The 100 has also become renowned for their strong representations of women, an aspect that has not been lost on Eliza Taylor. “This was the first opportunity I’ve had to play a character with true integrity and strength”, revealing that until the show she had been only offered stereotypical roles as “the dumb one” on the account of her blonde hair. With Turco, who plays Taylor’s mother on the show, adding that “I’m so grateful. It’s new. It’s so rare to have so many women on one show with strength.”

Rothenberg also answered the question of the future of the show and any long-term plans for storylines going forward. “I know where I want the show to end. I know what I want the final story to be. I don’t know how long that’s going to take,” noting that the show has yet to be renewed for Season 4. “I want to do the show for as long as it’s interesting for me creatively and I don’t think we’re repeating ourselves.”

Fans won’t have to wait too much longer with Season 3 set to debut on CW Thursday, January 21 in the US, with the UK premier soon after on E4.

‘J.J. Abrams & Colin Trevorrow’ Tease Rey’s Lineage

rey

It’s one of the biggiest questions to come from the latest Star Wars film – Skatronixxx

For all the attention that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has commanded since its December 2015 release. No more as stolen the limelight that Daisy Ridleys Rey, a character who has been celebrated, theorised, critique and even sparked a revolution on our toy-stands.

But as studied as the young-Jedi is, what remains as tantalising as-ever is that we don’t have that much background on everyones new favourite Star Wars personality. Sure there are theories out there but only three men, J.J. Abrams, Rian Johnson and Colin Trevorrow, seem to hold the answers, and they’re just loving it.

“I know quite a bit,” revealed Abrams speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour. “But obviously it’s not for me to talk about in this moment because this is Rian (Johnson’s) story to continue now and the last thing I’m going to do is reveal something he would be upset about. I want to make sure Rian gets that courtesy that he had shown me.”

Although Abrams was quick to keep mum on the subject, his answer does indicate that by the time Johnson’s Episode VIII rolls around we may get more insight into where Rey comes from and indeed, who her parents are. If fellow actor John Boyega is to be believed that Johnson’s sequel will be “much darker”, it could be a rough ride both physically mentally for the heroine. Perhaps an Empire Strikes Back like reunion is on the cards, I’d just stay away from those rail-less walkways if I was you Rey.

Although the sequel is purported to get darker, like her fellow new characters, Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Issaac) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Rey is expected to appear in all three of the new Star Wars movies. Which seems appropriate given Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow’s affinity for the character. “I love her and I love what she represents in that universe and where we can take her. It’s pretty incredible,” commented the Jurassic World (2015) director, whose film held the record for reaching a Billion Dollars in the least amount of days until The Force Awaken broke it late last year.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the BAFTA Nominations Event on Saturday, Trevorrow was careful not to confirm the prevailing theory that Rey is Star Wars Legend Obi Wan Kenobi’s Granddaughter:

“I’ve seen all of the theories and, you know, I have to practice how to answer these questions. What I do know is that we’re going to make sure that that answer is deeply and profoundly satisfying because Rey is a character that is important in this universe. Not just in the context of The Force Awakens, but in the entire galaxy and she deserves it. And so we’ll make sure that answer feels like something that was — it’s something that happened a long time ago far away. We’re just telling you what happened.”

Although tight-lipped, Trevorrow didn’t deny that the fan-theory could be wrong, I guess that we can keep on fan-ficting this one to death until Johnson’s Episode VIII is released May 26, 2017.

The Russo’s Reveal Story Details For ‘Captain America: Civil War’

civilwars

I’m on Cap’s team, whose side are you on? – Skatronixxx

Besides the Civil War Comic and the trailer drop for the Russo’s brothers Captain America: Civil War. There hasn’t been substantial information regarding the make-up of Cap’s third film in the Marvel Cinematic franchise … until now.

In an interview with Heroic Hollywood, the Director brothers Joe and Anthony revealed some of the finer points that fans can expect when Civil War hits our screens in March. The interview highlights a mostly forgotten character, considering he appeared in the less-than-popular Incredible Hulk (2008) movie, General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

This time around the brothers-not-so-grim explained that the constant pain in the Hulks big-green-behind, will be less gun-ho with Joe Russo describing him as “much savvier” this time around. It also appears that the General-turned-Politician has moved on from the Hulk instead targeting The Avengers as a whole “by aligning the world against them.”

Now of course our merry band of heroes are no strangers to in-fighting displayed through numerous bust-ups in both Avengers films. But will the new Spider-Man (Tom Holland) find himself involved in the superhero bust up? “I won’t talk about the personal relationship he develops, but it’s very interesting,” teased Anthony Russo. “One of the most special parts of the movie.”

As fans know, Spider-Man was the linch-pin in Marvel’s comic book crossover that lasted from 2006 – 2007. It was the first time that Peter Parker revealed his secret identity to world at the behest of Tony Stark, a publicity stunt to carry favour for the Superhero Registration Act. Now of course it would seem unlikely that a debuting Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will reveal his identity given that Sony has a vested interest that their property will go on to spawn solo films under the MCU banner. I am curious however to see if the film will cultivate the close relationship that both Parker and Stark created during the Civil War period in the comics.

Although the pair fostered a father-son relationship (given the duos affinity for science and technology) in the comics, it was constantly relayed to the audience that Stark was using Peter for his own gain. Not an evil gain, thats for sure. But the conclusion to the series made it clear that the pro-registration act was misguided. A plot-point that I’m sure Marvel will replicate in the film when considered this is a Captain America movie, who stands opposed the Government enforced order. I do wonder if the Tony and Peter bond will make it onto screen. Not only do both men have their fair share of daddy issues but with Marvel currently pairing The Hulk up with Thor in his next movie. How cool would it be to see Stark serve as Spider-Man’s mentor going forward.

If not only to make the Iron-Spider suit a reality on the big screen.

‘Batman’ WILL Appear In ‘Suicide Squad’

batman

I’m Batman, no wait that’s Ben Affleck – Skatronixxx

With the recent influx of movie news coming out of DC of late. Its clear that the comic-book-giant are quickly forming a massive-universe to rival Marvel’s own Cinematic offerings. With numerous appearances from Justice League mainstays slated to appear in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. David Ayer’s Suicide Squad seems to be leading the charge as the universe builder with Batman revealed to appear in the villain-led movie.

In an interview with USA Today, Ayer revealed that Ben Affleck’s eagerly anticipated interpretation of the Caped Crusader will be cracking skulls and taking names in the anti-hero maelstrom. “We made him fight,” revealed Ayer, “he’s awesome [as Batman].”

The director also established that the two films are “the cornerstone of the beginning” of Warner Bros. universe which opens up the possibility for more cross-over cameos further down the line. “I love Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman, but having Flash and Aquaman and Cyborg and to see them all standing together, it’s a pretty dorky and cool experience for me,” expressed Snyder.

“Basically every one of those characters has a logo that you would recognize without them standing there, and that’s a hard thing to achieve in this pop-culture world. We have history to draw on, but we also have these new frontiers to forge.”

While Dawn of Justice is introducing audiences to new interpretations of long-standing DC heroes, Suicide Squad will use iconic villains such as The Joker (Jared Leto), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Deadshot (Will Smith) as unlikely-heroes forced to work for Amanda Waller’s (Viola Davis) Government funded team.

Although Affleck noted that he’s “bound by nondisclosure clauses a mile long”, the actor was able to disclosed that he was “really impressed” by Suicide Squad. “It felt like I have such a cool cousin. This thing that is so awesome is somehow related to me, and that was really exciting because it started to feel like a constellation of things, and I’ve never had that feeling.”

2016 is lining up to be DC’s year with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice arriving in theatres on March 25. With David Ayers Suicide Squad scheduled for August 5.

‘Princess Leia’ Set To Appear In ‘Star Wars Rebels’

leia

All together now, IT’S A TRAP! Ooops wrong character 😛 – Skatronixxx

Ever since Disney X.D.’s number one show Star Wars Rebels began, fans have been wondering if any of the original stars would appear especially since the show takes place in-between Episodes 3 and 4, prime proving ground for younger versions of everyones favourite Rebels.

Considering we already got Lando Calrissian, voice by Billy Dee Williams himself no-less, on more than one occasion. It was about time that Star Wars first lady Princess Leia made her animated debut.

According to TVinsider, Leia is set appear in the episode titled Princess on Lothal that will air on January 20 and will be voiced by Julie Dolan who previously portrayed the princess in Disney Infinity 3.0.

Star Wars animation veteran Dave Filoni revealed that “We thought we had an opportunity to show her learning to be a leader, experimenting with the personality that becomes the stronger more resolute character you see in A New Hope. One of the complex challenges of depicting Leia in Rebels is that we have to remind the audience that at this point she is part of the Empire. She doesn’t believe in the Empire, but she is acting the part, almost a double agent.”

Currently in its second season, Rebels has already introduced Darth Vader into the animated series as the main villain to the burgeoning Rebel Alliance. With his long-lost daughter set to join the cast, it may only be a matter of time before Luke Skywalker makes his long-awaited cameo.

‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Spin-Off ‘Most Wanted’ Goes To Pilot

mostwanted

It’s my two fave characters, you can’t leave, I won’t let you *sulks* – Skatronixxx

ABC President Paul Lee broke the news that Agents of SHIELD spin-off Most Wanted has been ordered to Pilot with Lee expressing at the recent Television Critics Association press tour, “We love the script. We think it’s going to be great. We’re doing that in the next few months.”

The new series will follow Agents of SHIELD season 2 newcomers Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), whose short-time with the show has seen the two stars become fast favourites amongst fans. Series showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon explain how the pilot-order is a some-what sombre affair should the new show go to series.

“Logistically it does mean they’re going to be leaving to make that,” revealed Whedon. “They’re a part of our show. We definitely think they are capable of carrying an entire other show. That being said, it’s sort of bittersweet. We’re very excited about the new show.”

Tancharoen herself summed up the appeal of keeping Palicki and Blood in their current position, commenting: “It’s very bittersweet because we have a bunch of females on the show who kick ass. It was so nice to have Adrianne be one of them, and then also just when it comes to the humor, just having a moment of levity, Hunter was there to have those one-liners. … That was something we could always bet on.”

Although the prospect of another Marvel show joining the ever growing ranks is an interesting venture. Most Wanted certainly has an uphill struggle when considered that the characters often work best as counter-points to other drama summed up in Tancharoen own analysis of the characters.

What works in the new series favour however is that SHIELD producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski both co-created Most Wanted while also writing the Pilot that the ABC president loved so much. With both men also serving as showrunners and executive producers should the series go-to-order, Hunter and Morse couldn’t be in better hands than those familiar with what makes their characters tick.

SHIELD fans shouldn’t worry however as both showrunners confirmed that the agents could make their return to home-soil. “We will miss them, but that doesn’t mean they’re gone forever because, as everything in the Marvel universe, it’s all one universe,” teased Tancharoen.

“We’re pretending that there’s no such thing as a pilot, that it’s only characters who live in a world where there’s superheroes. We just know at some point they’re going to have to go somewhere else,” added Whedon. “We have a lot of characters and we’re always introducing new characters, so while they’re going to be missed, we’re certainly not going to try to replace them in any way.”

In talking about Most Wanted both Tancharoen and Whedon revealed that the new show is “awesome.”

“It’s everything you anticipate as well as things you don’t expect at all,” imparted Tancharoen. “It’s just really nice to be able to dive into those characters, and Paul and Jeff have done that exceptionally well.”
