Warner Bros Getting Sued For Suicide Squad Deleted Scenes !?!??

You heard me right, there is actually someone out there suing Warner Bros for missing Joker scenes in Suicide Squad. Are you kidding me right now? This is too good.

The person who is doing this is a reddit user by the name of BlackPanther2016. He calling it ‘false advertising,’ and compared it to going to a fast food chain, ordering a burger as advertised and getting something different. He is fed up with Hollywood showing previews to movies and removing those scenes from the actual film. OK, so I understand the irritation on some level, but seriously, it’s not like it was not known by many that there would be some missing scenes in the movie. Though it wasn’t exactly said which ones until after (at least I didn’t hear which ones till the movie hit) But this wasn’t exactly a secret. Where has this guy been? Under a rock?

He also goes on to complain that he drove from Scotland to London to watch this movie, just to see those specific scenes of the Joker as shown in the previews. Right, like he really drove for those parts in particular? Ummmmmm really? I mean, most may argue that there are sooooooooooooooo many more things to see in the movie besides the Joker…. Like maybe Deadshot, Killer Croc, and Harley Quinn… But according to this dude, he wasted money driving and sitting through this movie to be disappointed that the sought after scenes were not in the movie. … And now he wants to sue. (He has nothing better to do…)

He watched the movie, left the theater angry and demanded his money back. They refused to give it to him, then escorted him out. So he is suing for his money back and the embarrassment of being laughed at while he was kicked out of the movie theater. Of course they were laughing, how can you walk in to a theater and leave a movie such as this, complaining that they were missing Joker scenes, which is something that we all knew about??

The scenes he went there specifically for were: when Joker banged his head on his car window, when Joker says, ‘let me show you my toys’ when Joker punches the roof of his car, when Joker drops a bomb with this face all messed up and says ‘bye bye,’ and he also says there was a couple of scenes with Katana that he wanted as well, her eyes going black, and the slow motion of her and her sword taking souls. His brother is a lawyer and submitted the case…. And it was ACCEPTED!!! WHAT!!!!! This is going to be a good laugh for sure.

If you are behind this dude, he is calling for those who are also tired of the falsely advertised scenes in the previews. He says “lets stop this nonsense of false bullsh***ery… and don’t let them bribe you with their ‘deluxe premium special director’s gold extended edition supreme cut’ nonsense” (omg is this guy for real??)

I’m sorry, if some of you feel the same way as this dude, then well I don’t know what to tell you. But really, it’s a movie, and I’m sure that when it comes out on DVD there will probably be a directors cut or extended version on the blue ray edition. And we will get to see the Leto/Joker and other deleted scenes there. But really, move on. It is what it is and there are other things in life much more important than if the scenes from the preview was not in the movie…. Plus, can I ask one question: How is it he drove 300 miles to London to watch a movie? Weren’t there other theaters closer to him? I mean, why go to that specific one so far away??? I don’t know, but this was just to funny to read about.

Doctor Who Comics, With 4 Doctors!!!!!!!

OMG I am currently hooked on the Doctor Who comics. Been mostly reading the David Tennant 10^th Doctor ones (because he is my fav) but recently I found a series that includes all 4 doctors! Yes! I mean, it has Doctors 9, 10, 11 and 12 all interlocking in one big story line that includes Cybermen, Sontariens, and more. But I am sad to say there are only 5 comics in this series…. Why??? 😥

  

  

Just the idea alone is awesome. I loved “the Day of the Doctor” episode of Doctor Who when they had Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt, plus the special guest of one of the original Doctors from the past seasons, Tom Baker! (yes, he with the scarf and wonderful nose!!) This was truly fantastic and made me squeal the whole time watching this episode. You can imagine what I looked like reading this comic! LOL!

This year is the 50^th anniversary of the Cybermen, and Titan Comics decided to give us all a thrill with comics called Supremacy of the Cybermen, in celebration of them. In the stories, the Cybermen have captured the ousted Gallifreyan leader Rassilon and get their robotic mitts on the time travel technology. It’s up to the four incarnations of the Doctor to stop them. The series not only has our fab four, but also companions of the past, such as Rose Tyler and Captain Jack Harkness!! The wonderful story is written by George Mann and Cavan Scott, with art by Alessandro Vitti.

I have only acquired the first edition right now… and am hooked. I love what they are trying to do here. They should do a movie… another movie where they gather all our boys to stop the Cybermen. If you have not yet picked up one of these comics, you really should. I mean, I don’t know about you, but I get to craving some more Tennant or Smith action (insert dirty joke here…. giggles) And this gives me them and more!! Plus my friends, if you have not just picked up other Doctor Who comics, then you are missing out. They are beautifully illustrated, fun to read, and really do well capturing the essence of our Doctors in the stories. ^_^

Lucille Ball Gets A New Statue Not So Scary!

We all know (or at least I hope most of you) the timeless works of the one and only Lucille Ball. She is the classic beauty from the ever so famous TV show ‘I Love Lucy’,  ‘The Lucille Ball Show‘, and ‘The Long, Long Trailer‘. Well, this actress was commemorated in the park of her home town by  an artist by the name Dave Poulin in 2009. But he unfortunately jacked up the look that is our ageless beauty so badly that he actually received some death threats. Well what do you expect, this is Lucille Ball, you screw up an icon like her, you bound to get shanked, man. This statue was then taken down thanks to a site called, ‘I Love Lucy, remove the statue’. Thankfully they redid that bad boy and now have one that is not so disturbing (yes the expression “don’t blink” definitely comes to mind here…)

Well now here we are again, with a new statue of our Lucy, and this time, the artist (not the same guy as before) nailed it. The statue was unveiled on August 6^th 2016, while fans chanted “Lucy, Lucy.” And there, in the Lucille Ball Memorial Park, Lucy’s hometown of Cueloron, NY, she stands in a polka dot dress, portraying the elegance and smiles that she would give us all in her time on and off the screens. And who do we thank for the remake of our red-headed legend? None other than artist Carolyn D. Palmer. She was quoted to say “I not only wanted to portray the playful, animated and spontaneous Lucy, but also the glamorous Hollywood icon.” And I’m sure you all will agree with me when I say, she did so in deed.

August 6^th would have been the TV icon’s 105^th birthday, and each year on this day, she is remembered by a comedy festival in nearby Jamestown. And as for the Scary Lucy statue, they plan on keeping this bad boy, and placing it else where in the park, (which I will never visit in fear of being placed back in time somewhere, or getting my neck snapped) as this too was a part of Lucy history and should still be displayed ^_^

Deleted Scenes For Suicide Squad Leaked!!

 

We all heard about how there were some issues for Jared Leto concerning all the deleted scenes from the movie. And after looking at these deletions, I side with the rock star. Now don’t get me wrong. I loooooooooooooooooooooooooved this move, having just seen it on Sunday the 7^th, but the scenes may have given some more depth to other of the characters and story of this fantastic movie.

Now we all know that its pretty normal for the Hollywood biz to show trailers with extra scenes that may not be in the movie. But it seems that the trailer that was shown at San Diego Comic Con may have shown the movie to be much more dark than it is now, cutting out scenes to make the movie more fun. If you visit the reddit site, there is a person on there by the name of Naydawwg who posted the extended alternate cut of Suicide Squad that you may never see. And it seems to be a lot more than expected.

 

OK you guys, here is the list of what was deleted. (**SPOILER ALERT!**) Go watch the movie if you haven’t already and compare to the list below, and tell us what you think. I personally feel that more on the Croc would have been nice for sure, but regardless, after seeing the movie, I think I may go back and see it again one or two more times ^_^

There were of course some from the San Diego ComicCon release as explained before :

• In early cuts, the movie’s opening detailed June Moon’s possession by Enchantress in real time. Reshoots reshuffled the scene to be later in the movie in flashback form in favour of a new opening centered on Deadshot.
• Deadshot in the prison cell, watching the rain fall and thinking about his daughter.
• El Diablo observing the flame of a lit match, before putting it out due to his vow to no longer use his powers.
• El Diablo being escorted to a training center by being placed in a tube that fills with water to quel his flames, and then unceremoniously dropped onto the ground.
• Early interviews showed Captain Boomerang’s racism and sexism, but the movie is light on examples of such behaviour, which have apparently been deleted. Most of them were reportedly directed at Katana, to whom Boomerang is attracted to.
• Early reports indicated more backstory for Killer Croc, revealing that he entire life as a social outcast due to his physical appearance and has convinced himself that he is beautiful in his own way. Croc crossed paths with Batman while working as muscle-for-hire for numerous Gotham’s crime bosses, while secretly planning to take over one day. There were also scenes displaying his affinity for making sculptures out of discarded materials. Aside from jokes about Croc viewing himself as ‘beautiful,’ one of these were retained in the final cut.”
• Also deleted was a scene where he becomes sick at the helicopter escort to Midway City, throws up half-digested pieces of goat, and then eats them again, disgusting the nearby Navy Seals.
• Early cuts reportedly included a passing reference to Slipknot a being serial rapist, likely to further paint him as unsympathetic to the audience ahead of his own death.
• More scenes of Rick Flag and June Moon’s romantic relationship, including him reading the files of the Suicide Squad recruits after Waller delivers them to him.
• Another scene where Flag and Moon are out on a date.
• Extended scene of Joker interrogating Captain Griggs, including the line, “I can’t wait to show you my toys,” which was in every trailer, but was removed from the movie.
• Joker and his men escaping after shooting up a restaurant. Harley, who is already affiliated with the Joker, follows them on a motorcycle and intercepts their car. Joker bangs his head against the glass in frustration.
• Joker and Harley then get into a fight, which ends with Harley pointing a gun at Joker’s head. Joker sweet-talks Harley into lowering the gun, charming her, then backhands her across the face. Afterwards he sweet-talks her again and they kiss.
• Extended Ace Chemicals scene where Harley jumps into the chemicals. More bits of dialogue from Joker.
• Extended Batmobile chase scene with more interaction between Joker and Harley. One of the examples, presented in all the trailers, is the Joker punching the roof of his car.
• Harley using her baseball bat as a mock gun to play shoot at invisible foes.
• Extended scene of Joker breaking into the nanobomb manufacture facility to arrange for Harley’s neck-bomb to be disabled.”
• More interactions between Harley and Boomerang. Early cuts apparently included her really disliking him despite growing affectionate to all the other members of the squad.”
• Extended bar scene with Harley taking everyone’s orders. Deadshot calls for a shot, Katana wants whiskey, Croc and Boomerang settle for beer, Harley asks Diablo wants and he prefers water which she jokes, “is a good idea.” The scene was featured in the trailers, but in the movie it cuts directly to Deadshot’s speech about them all almost pulling the mission off.”
• Removed several scenes with the Joker to repaint his relationship with Harley as more loving rather than abusive.”
• Joker and Harley get into an argument after he rescues her in the hijacked helicopter. In early cuts he reportedly pushes her out to kill her, then the helicopter gets shot down. This was apparently reworked into the helicopter getting shot down first and Joker pushing her out to save her.”
• Joker returns during the final battle in the subway station, face half-burnt from the helicopter crash, which apparently leads to a brief altercation with the Squad. He calls for Harley to escape with him but she refuses for once in order to help her friends, and the Joker escapes after throwing a live grenade at the group to cover his own escape.”

Jared Leto’s Suicide Squad Joker Inspired By David Bowie

And why not? For one, the actor who plays the Joker in the new Suicide Squad movie is the singer of the band 30 Seconds to Mars; most musically inclined artists follow and are inspired by the legends of the past like David Bowie, who passed away this January. Let’s not forget the kind of flare the late great rocker had while on and off stage. He had many amazing alter egos, like Ziggy Stardust and his role as the Goblin King in the timeless movie Labyrinth. Of course he would be considered an inspiration to one so prismatic as Jared Leto while he lights up the screen as the crazy (insert other word) Joker.

  

In an interview he gave NME, Leto said, “We discussed David Bowie a bit—not necessarily the music of David, but his class, his elegance, his timelessness.” The Mars man also went on to say that David Bowie is probably an inspiration for almost anything creatively. Which makes sense if you think about it. The man was a creative genius who stole the show on and off stage, as well as the hearts of all those who heard him. So it’s no wonder Jared would want a piece of that for the new Joker, in hopes he too will be remembered like the ones of the past portrayed by Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Cesar Romero. ^_^

Maze Runner Setbacks And Update On The Injury of Dylan O’Brien

Dylan O’Brien, best known for his role of Styles on the TV series Teen Wolf and the leading man in the Maze Runner movies, was recently injured this past March 2016 on the set of the third Maze Runner: The Death Cure (is it just me or is this title a little daunting right now??) He was rushed to the hospital after a vehicular stunt went bad, causing concussion, facial fracture and lacerations. The injuries were confirmed to be non-life threatening, but worse than they had expected. The movie will halt indefinitely until the 24 year old is up and ready to continue filming.

Thankfully though, just about a day ago, Huffpost released a Twitter picture of Dylan doing better. Apparently a lucky, lucky, fan had spotted the young actor at a Jamba Juice. I guess she told E! News that he chatted with her and was in “good spirits” while grabbing his drink.  There is a picture of the lucky girl with him, he is sporting a beard ladies…. A beard…

Now my friends, don’t worry about his role on Teen Wolf. It was confirmed by the show runner Jeff Davis that he will be back for the final season. And as far as scars go, I mean, it’s Teen Wolf, I’m sure they can create a very believable story about how they came to be (after all, the show does have werewolves….) And as for the Maze Runner movie, it sounds like it will go back into production eventually, but has been pushed back until January 2018. But for now, let’s just be glad Dylan is well because this could have been a lot worse. ^_^

Keep Your Secret Identity Hidden With These DC and Marvel Business Suits!

Ok ladies, do you want your man to look as sexy as Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark, but not feel like you are pulling teeth to get them in a dashing suit? Well, now there is a way to get our men all dressed up for us, without the bribing and begging…

Fun.com will release later this month men’s comic book chic suits! Suits lined with a Marvel comic book look, or Joker’s purple “HA HA” and so on, along with neck ties, and other accessories to make our men look ‘super’ sexy. There isn’t much more detail about these outfits other than that they are expected to be available for preorder later this month, and not officially out until November. I don’t know about you guys but, I’m thinking a blazer and tie may need to be on my next credit card purchase. ^_^

 

Lego Suicide Squad Trailer

Let me just start by saying, I love the LEGO movies, so this was pretty cute to watch. And who do we thank for this wonderful little film? The amazing minds of Forrest Whaley and Sean Willets of ForrestFire films.

The quick 40 second trailer has beautifully captured the essence that is Suicide Squad. From the opening where you see the logo in LEGO all brightly lit and colorful, to Harley Quinn saying “we’re bad guys, its what we do” as she holds the purse she just grabbed from the store window…. These guys really mastered the art here. Which I guess is what they do. They have done other LEGO shorts on their YouTube channel that are just as entertaining to watch ( I just got done watching Captain America vs Nazi zombies, and it’s freaking sweet! But it’s rather gory, so if you’re squeamish, maybe this isn’t for you… Just FYI.)

LEGO will be releasing Suicide Squad characters, but without the Suicide Squad logo on it, (this is for little ones, so the name ‘suicide’ I guess isn’t appropriate) but rather be called Batman villains. You can buy one of these sets on lego.com. The one out right now is called ‘Batman Killer Croc Sewer Smash.’ This one has Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang and Katana in it (the words of Jack Nicholson as Joker just came to mind, “where does he get such wonderful toys?”)

Fan-Made Transformers Stop-Motion Video Is Better Than The Movie!!!

It’s pretty sad for Hollywood when there are fan-made YouTube vids out there that people find way better than the movie. But it’s true. This video is freaking AWESOME!!!

Whether you are new school or old school like this girl who grew up watching the 1986 version, you will totally appreciate the concept behind the Transformers masterpiece.

And isn’t it the dream of everyone who makes a YouTube video to be recognized? Well, this kid definitely got his wish. The video was well-recognized and got many shout outs claiming this video is better than the movie from Hollywood. Some even went on to say that the producer of Hollywood’s Transformers movie could learn a thing or two from this up-and-coming YouTube star. I am right there with them, this video is no less than fantastic. The voiceovers and animation are so wonderful! I can’t help but wonder – how was someone with limited resources able to make a video worthy of the big screen?

The Stop Motion animated video was created by Harris Loureiro last July 1^st, and it’s the Autobots up against the evil Decepticons. According to GMA network online, he started shooting this about September of last year and began editing by May, and that took him more than a month there. Apparently there would have been more awesome footage, but his computer crashed during some of his work. But nevertheless, this is still amazing even if we are missing some of his work.

So to all those who love Transformers like I do, (I still have my Soundwave from when I was a little girl) you should really check out this video. It’s soooooo AWESOME!!! ^_^

Storks Trailer released

Did you ever used to wonder where babies came from?  From the producers of LEGO Movie and Happy Feet comes a silly adventure about a little boy who wants a baby brother, and the stork who brings it to him.

Well actually, in the trailer, the storks don’t deliver babies anymore! (great, now what to I tell my kids when they ask “where do babies come from?!?”) *EEEEK*

So the storks are now in package delivery business like UPS, but one of the packages is a baby, and now a brave stork has to go against the company policy with the help of a young orphan girl to deliver this baby to the family who wants it.

This movie looks really fun and cute, will definitely have to take my little girl to see this (don’t think my son will be into this one) But check out the link below and tell me what you think. ^_^
