Nerdy Nummies!! So Yummy!!

Do you love baking? Do you love scifi, video/computer games, anime, comics and more? Well I have a wonderful YouTube show for you called Nerdy Nummies!!

This absolutely delightful show I recently stumbled upon while randomly clicking on the challenges people post on YouTube, and while doing so I came across the No-Arm-Makeup-Challenge starring Manny Mua (he does make up) and a lady named Rosanna Pasino. While watching this video I heard Mr. Mua introduce her as the star of a show called Nerdy Nummies, and my heart stopped…… WHAT DID HE SAY!!??!! I immediately tapped on her channel and sure enough, there were all these videos, baking videos, where she makes all sorts of wonderful nerd foods! Star Trek cupcakes, Spider donuts from undertale, cupquakes cupcake from 5 Nights at Freddys with Markiplier himself!!  Dear goodness the shows are endless it seems.

This young woman has brought to us the delight in cooking with nerd love. I mean, can I just say, thank you, thank you Rosanna. I love to bake myself and am absolutely on cloud nine when I watch these…. OMG I can’t wait to make each and every recipe lol.

She also participates in challenges, and these of course are just as cute and amusing to watch. One of my favs is giant candy challenge (giant candy…. GIANT CANDY.) And where the hell do I find all the giant awesomeness she tastes on this one? Can someone please tell me now?? Ok sorry, little off the topic here… As well as donut challenge, weird cereal challenge, ice cream challenge, and many more nummy nawsomeness (yup, I went there.)

She has such a light and quirky personality that makes her absolutely adorable and a pleasure to watch. She is very silly, and you can tell she enjoys doing what she does on the channel. Plus each recipe is easy to follow, even if you have not ever made a cupcake in your life. And if you don’t want to just watch her make them, you can purchase her nerdy nummy cookbook for yourself for more wonderful cooking extravaganza. I totally recommend everyone should check out her channel, even if you don’t bake, just watch at least once, you may find yourself running to the store for some extra ingredients to try out one of the many fun Nerdy Nummy recipes.

Do You Smell What the Poke-Rock is Cooking??

If you want a good laugh, you need to check out Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s Pokemon GO parody on YouTube. This, my friends, definitely tickles the laugh button.

As we are all well aware, Pokemon GO has swept the nation, and of course hit Hollywood. There are many stars who play the super addictive game and it’s no surprise that The Rock is yet another unsuspecting victim. The best part though, he now has put himself in the Pokemon world in this silly video below. The parody starts with MatPat and Ali-A talking about a rare hard to capture, Pokemon…. Which turns out to be the rock himself (well animated to look like him) and he talks mad trash to the Poketrainers!! OMG I was dying. The poor dude tries several Pokeballs including a Great Ball, with no luck on capturing the trash-talking peoples’ champ.

Oh and the song! The song they play is super wonderful. It is the theme song with a little twist. (“the peoples champs, when I see him my pants get damp”) And the end, the end is the rock, he sums the whole video up.   Just watch below, you will see what I mean. Its super fun, silly, and crude. Which are three things I personally love in a parody  ^_^

Pacific Rim 2.. Without Charlie??

Giant monster creatures from the sea, large robots piloted by two heroes to save all of humanity, epic battles and lots of destruction…. If you haven’t guessed it, I’m talking about Pacific Rim. A wonderfully flashy futuristic movie without a lot of depth in the story line department… But still good.

So it’s crazy to say that they are going to make a part two? I mean, I am happy with this, being a girl who grew up watching the old Godzilla movies with my mom. (she was a huge fan of the delayed voice over films starring one radioactive giant lizard) So yes, they should always have more giant robot/monster movies in Hollywood. But the shocker comes from this movie, after not making it as big as one would expect, planning a sequel. Still sounds great to me, and my son will be even more happy. (I raised him to love the Godzilla movies as well, so the legacy continues)

 

Unfortunately though it doesn’t seem we will be getting back one of the main characters from the film, Mr. Charlie Hunnam, who played old washed-up pilot Raleigh Becket from the first one. This seems odd since he was one of two pilots who managed the Jaegers that won the battle against the Kaiju in the first movie, so you would think he should be somewhere in the second one right? (I mean didn’t they kill the other pilot? Soooo, ya how about we get one of our main heroes back? Then again they may just use the chick…)  But according to an interview he gave to Yahoo at ComicCon, he was involved in the sequel at first, but not anymore due to some scheduling issues and apparently “non-creative” conflicts…. Too bad really, he was pretty good looking as well so there goes some of the eye candy 😉

Well regardless of who comes back, I still can’t wait for the sequel to come. As I have mentioned above, I come from a family who loves the giant monster movies and will see this one too, one way or another.  ^_^

SEGA Plug And Play Console And Hand Held System With Games!!!

Who else enjoyed the sounds our TV would make when a certain speeding hedgehog would gather up those golden rings when swiftly racing though the course and dodging the creatures and spikes along the way? What about the thrill we would have timing each jump just right while in super shoes mode? Or how about the way Scorpion’s voice would sound when screaming “get over here” as he plunges his spike into the opponent across the screen… ah the good old days with that wonderful colorful game system that began some of the favorite arcade characters we love today. Yes, I am talking about the SEGA Genesis.

And now they are bringing it back as a Plug-and-Play, including 40 / 80 (this number varies depending on the site you research) of the classic games and SD card support. How awesome is that!?! Let alone, only $60 dollars?? I don’t see this lasting long on the shelf this holiday season. This console system will include classics such as Sonic, the first three of Mortal Kombat, Kid Chameleon, plus some SEGA arcade puzzle games such as Fight or Lose. The system will have both an SD slot and a cartridge slot, plus two controllers, and the hand held system will include a USB charging cable and SD slot, and a means for us to sit for hours engulfed in the sensations of life when we were younger and carefree…. OK maybe not all of us will feel this way, but for those who grew up with Nintendo and SEGA, you get the picture.

So this system is said to come with 40 / 80 embedded games. This is cool and saves some time for those of us who try to figure out a way to hack the systems and download games on to them ourselves (just kidding…. Or am I? lol ) But this will save some time with the downloads you may or may not have on your computer (NES ROM or SEGA ROM) and at least have this on the classic looking system instead. (I have both these roms on my Xbox so I play them often, including superNES rom) ^_^

Could Raj From The Big Bang Theory Be Our New Doctor Who

This could be cool. And who better to play this role than the Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar!

In case any of you don’t know who he is, he plays Rajesh Koothrappali on the Big Bang Theory. Raj is a semi shy Indian boy who is extremely awkward, used to be terrified of women and says the wrong things all the time. The show is going into its tenth season so if you have not seen this, you need to stop reading this right now and start binging out because you are missing a pretty awesome show. You’ve got nine past seasons to catch up on so get on it!

He recently revealed his want to play the Doctor. According to radiotimes.com, while doing an interview he talked about an incident with a fan at ComicCon. The fan had asked him a question about the TARDIS, and Kunal asked “What’s a TARDIS?” and ended up getting a boo down. I hope he knows his stuff a little better now since that incident. This would make or break him in the fans’ eyes for sure.

On the side note here, I think he would be fun to watch as the next Doctor. I personally have loved each actor from past to now who has played this role and think he would make a fine addition to our large Doctor Who family line. And his accent would be fantastic to the ears when he says “sonic screwdriver” and “TARDIS.” ^_^

DO YOU WANT TO BuY A DALEK?????? …SURE!

Ok two things come to mind when hearing this sentence… First, I hear it in the tune of the Disney Frozen song, Do You Want to Build a Snowman (do you want to buy a dalek, and ride him up and down the hall)  and two, how much money is in my account right now…

This is actually a TV show in the works. It’s a show where people can bid on Daleks…. And why the hell not right? I mean I would love to have a life size replica in my home. Talk about fantastic!! The show is was looking for potential buyers of a life-sized black Dalek and airs on Tuesday July 26^th in Bristol. This Dalek is priced at £2000 (which is more than American cash.) The show this Dalek is being aired on is called “Sell or Swap” where people can bid on a mix of items from antiques, expensive or second hand memorabilia. I’ve seen life-sized Daleks at the Comic Con here in Portland, and I have my picture with said Dalek while dressed in my Tennant outfit. It was so neat, and it was made of metal I believe… there was a person in there driving around, taking pictures with everyone. You can imagine how many pictures this person had to pose for.. (lol pose) Kind of makes you wonder if they were able to actually get from one destination to the next. Though being the Dalek at a comic con convention would be cool, I personally don’t think I would like the attention, at some point I would be like “dude I have to pee!!” Then again, if I had the voice box of the Dalek too…. Well, that may change things ^_^

 

News Of A Simpsons & Adventure Time Crossover!!

And the crowd goes wild!!! Ok, who does not love this idea? And it’s so like the wonderful producers of the Simpsons to cross over outside film characters into the world that is the Simpsons. So many other movies and TV shows have been a part of the world of Simpsons in Springfield Oregon (my home town!!) such as the Springfield Files, Simon Cowell, TMNT, Simpsonsorama, Flinstones couch, and crossover with Family Guy, and here again the writers grace us with their awesome abilities to do so again. But this time with…… drum roll please…. Adventure time!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!

This was announced at the San Diego ComicCon this summer by the producer himself at a panel. Some people had asked if they were planning on a Pokemon GO theme, which was also confirmed. And when asked if they would do a crossover of the Simpsons with Adventure Time, the supervising director of the show had pitched this idea already and is currently working on it. According to Entertainment Weekly (ew.com) the show will play the Adventure Time theme on opening with a Simpsons twist to it (like normally, we would expect no less from the show) and will be sung by show’s creator, Pendleton Ward.

So this is a must-watch for sure. I love both these shows, and can’t wait to see what they do with the episode. Though they have had some Simpsons crossovers I may not have been to thrilled with, regardless I watch and enjoy. And I hope you all do the same. ^_^

Pokemon GO… In The Graveyards….. Um…..

According to reddit.com, there are posts there of people who caught ghost Pokemon in the graveyard, Ghastly to be exact. There was also another post there where someone claims you can catch them in hospitals as well, oh and the graves are Pokestops? I kind of wondered about this, and I live near a cemetery here in Oregon, so I had to go check this out and do the research myself.

The elusive trio – Haunter, Gengar and Gastly

We arrived at the cemetery not from my home in hopes to catch one ghost Pokemon who reside in cemetery settings, and after wandering around for a bit, (and one incense dropped) found nothing more than a few Spearows, Pidgeys and a couple of other Pokemon I already had… but no ghosts. I did get to use the Pokestop a couple of times, but this one was attached to the land mark that was the cemetery sign, not the grave plots themselves as some people has speculated. So this was slightly disappointing.

After getting back in the car, my girlfriend, Charlotte (love you girl) had mentioned something about this anomaly taking place at night. Duh, that makes sense now, ghosts don’t come out during the day time anyway, right? So we left the grave yard and decided to return another time. (Ok this next part took some courage, because really, who wants to wander a graveyard at night????)

So a little over a week later, I once again found myself chilling in a graveyard, staring at my phone…. I have to say, that sounds a little weird lol. But I went, at what is considered night even though its summer time right now and the day does not get dark until like 11 pm (I have a hard time staying up that late anymore, being old and all … )

Now I didn’t visit the same one as before; in fact I went to a different one just a little further up the road and bigger. I was hoping that maybe with it being twice the size of the previous one, that maybe it will give more grounds for something to happen. Well there was a difference than the first right off the bat, there were Pokestops on the grave stones! Just like I had read before on the reddit site. But they were attached to actual grave plots, more like memorial spots. One of the spots belonged to a stone in memorial to 9/11, and another called the “veterans memorial of Springfield Oregon,” but neither of these were inhabited by an actual body. Still cool nonetheless.

  

 

I decided to drop another incense, (yes, I used up two in graveyards) and wandered around, looking at the lovely stones, flowers, the trees… yes it was just breathtaking there. And fervidly scan the phone whenever I felt it buzz in my hands while I walked, to see if this may be a Haunter or Gastly Pokemon…. Which it wasn’t. But I did manage to attract some Pokemon I did not have yet such as Jigglypuff, Clefable (this one put of a hell of a fight, like 6 balls in total to get this asshat) and Tangela. But sadly, no ghost Pokemon.  But oddly enough, there were Zubats, a lot of Zubats, that found me in there. I’m not sure if its just a coincidence that it was a graveyard and a ton of Zubats or not but I found that neat.

  

After a bit and feeling frustrated that still not ghost, I decided to try the smaller graveyard I had wandered around the other day, just to give it one more shot…. But still no luck. (I did however catch a Poliwag!) Now can I say that this is a myth and there are no ghost Pokemon in the graveyard, being that I wandered around for some time and wasted incense, trying to catch these buggers… On the other hand, I may not have gone late enough, but being that I wake up at 3:30 am every day, staying up till midnight is quite difficult for me. Regardless, it was fun just the same trying to see if this was fact or false. One this is for sure, there are Pokestops on grave stones, just maybe not body filled ones. As for the ghost… well….. this has yet to be determined. ^_^

Natasha Stark: An Alternate Universe’s Tony Stark

Natasha Stark, parallel lady to our Tony Stark… Actually she is Tony Stark, in another universe. This called Earth 3490, where she is known as Iron Woman, instead of the other (duh). Also, she is married to …. Captain America!

This alternate world is discovered by Reed Richards, while looking for an alternate ending to the Civil War. In this world, there wasn’t a war since Cap and Natasha are romantically involved. In fact in this alternate world, every conflict is solved peacefully. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? Hank Pym is not an issue, due to him being in prison.

Now this is just not fair.. Tony Stark is fine, ok. He is a hottie superhero, and now we have him in woman form? Jesus, talk about the hottest woman on the planet!! And I am not talking about looks only ladies and gentlemen… but let’s talk about her personality here. I mean, with her being female version of Tony Stark, then she has to be just like him right? As in confident, snarky, super intelligent… Probably every man’s dream right there. And yet she is married to the Cap. Now I know Steve was always on Tony about stuff, you would watch these two bicker like an old married couple… Lol so you can’t help but wonder how they are married in the alternate universe!!

You can find issues with Natasha Stark in two issues of the Dark Rein: Fantastic 4 and the third issues in “Squirrel Girl Wins a Date With Thor” in the comics Secret Wars: Secret Love. Plus if you want just for fun, you can find him as a woman in the Secret Wars 4 issue where him and all the Avengers are … Gwen! LOL!! Yes they are all blonde haired beauties, including the Hulk!! (I almost bought this one yesterday…)

ONCE UPON A TIME To Get Some Aladdin Action!!

*EEEK!!!* Yes yes yes, this is so cool. OK sorry. I have watched all the episodes for this wonderful TV series, and I am super excited about this one. The fact that Aladdin, the street boy and the treacherous Jafar are going to be in the series this season is fantastic. According to Entertainment Weekly (ew.com) Deniz Akdeniz will play Aladdin, and Oded Fehr will play Jafar. (Now if you watched the Wonderland series at all, they had a Jafar played by Lost‘s Naveen Andrews.) Also they will have a Princess Jasmine (to be played by Karen David) and I hope they will do the Genie as well. Which I am sure they will do. I mean what is Aladdin without the Genie? I mean really ….

 

 

This sounds pretty awesome. So far I have not been disappointed with the series and I am sure this season will be no different. I love how they surprise us with new wonderful Disney peeps from the past (like Belle, Beast, Snow White, and Peter Pan) and uprising current loves, (like characters from Frozen and Brave.) So for them to bounce back to classic Disney is so exciting. Man, I can’t wait to see how they incorporate this story into our beloved known characters! *eeeek* (Sorry, yes, I did two of those this article… fangirling!!!!)
