The Amazing World of Gumball S5 E9 ‘The Test’

The episode begins with Gumball talking about the power of the internet and how stupidly we often use it.Sarah the ice cream cone gets Gumball to answer a quiz and finds out he is a loser.

Darwin tries to get Gumball to think it is a good thing but it won’t work. Gumball decides he must be the exact opposite of what he normally is, which of course doesn’t work because he’s an idiot.

Gumball works to be nice and it is increasingly hard as the people around him upset him.Suddenly we end up watching a show where Tobias is now the loser of the show. Gumball in an attempt to never say bad things might be popular but he is losing his mind.

Sarah is annoyed with the falseness of this world and aims to change it, a clip show is no way to live. Suddenly Tobias calls in his “sister” Anais who of course is Gumball’s sister. Sarah wants to destroy him as he ruining the continuity of the show. Gumball won’t give up his popularity and he suddenly ends up at his home at night though Tobias is in the family now.

Out of nowhere the show becomes a Christmas special and in an attempt to boost ratings they bring in a robot. When Gumball sees his girlfriend dating Penny he can’t help but want to spit his venomous words. When Sarah talks about dreams Tobias wakes up from his dream just before Gumball spits all of his venom reverting the world to its amazing self.

Regular Show: In Space S8 E21 ‘Ice Tape’

Mordecai and the crew are heading to a movie store on an ice planet. The clerks aim to help but until Pops reveals himself they can’t assist much. Using Pop’s head to open a door they find a tape made of ice. They travel to the mountain to put the tape into the special player.

The shop owners guide them and they find that the frozen lake is the best choice as who wants to cross a magma or lightning lake. They lose one of the video store men but end up safely in a cave to rest.

Pops can’t remember anything before he was two years old and of course that shocks the others. The second of their guides dies at the hands of a snow mammoth even though they could have saved her, maybe.

Sliding down a waterfall they find three players and find the eggcellent knight from  a past episode. He tells them to choose one of the players and put the tape in. Using his flashback he knows  the tape must go into the fire player even though it doesn’t make much sense. As he attempts this, the mammoth attacks and and the last of the guides stupidly sacrifices herself.

Pops pops the tape into the fire player and sees his father, who is actually smiling. He tells them of a meteor that fell to earth and inside was baby Pops carrying a special scroll. He decided to hide Pops in the most mundane place, a park. Pops knows what he must do as the hero of the universe. The legendary trainer then appears ready to train Pops to master his powers.

Animal Crossing Welcomes Amiibo Home

Animal Crossing New Leaf came out about 4 years ago and Nintendo just gave us a big update. In a 16 minute Animal Crossing Direct our new friend Harvey showed off the features coming to Animal Crossing New Leaf.

First of all the power of Amiibo is now here in New Leaf. The Amiibo cards that you may or may not have bought can be used to change up the game. With them you can invite villagers to your town and have them move in. All you have to do is summon your old friend Wisp who will grant you a wish a day.

If you had all the cards you could literally design your perfect town. That’s not to say with a few choice cards you couldn’t have a pretty amazing town anyway.

Have you neglected your town and just don’t feel like keeping this shell of a town alive? Have no fear, if your town is level three or higher you can sell it to Tom Nook for a lovely sum and start a new town with a nice chunk of change!

Another exciting feature is the introduction of MEOW Coupons which you can get for doing simple tasks in game. You can spend these coupons on items Harvey wants to sell and even to buy whatever your friends may have in their RVs.

There is also Harvey’s campground where you visit with characters in their mobile homes. There are of course visitors like Jingle, Wendell and any other special character that may pop in but there are a few new faces.

Exciting things happen when Nintendo Franchises cross over. We have known for awhile that we would be getting Villagers who dress up like Callie and Marie ala the Callie and Marie Amiibo. But now an Octopus character based on the Splatoon Squid joins in.

Also joining in are Legend of Zelda characters. We have Wolf Link from Twilight Princess, Medli of Wind Waker, Classic Blue Pig Gannon, and Link’s trusty steed Epona. Having these characters is only possible through the Legend of Zelda Amiibo but I think that is a pretty nice incentive.

Lastly for those of you that played Happy Home Designer, get ready to decorate your own house using just your stylus! To unlock this feature just pay for the Secret Storeroom and the next day Lottie will be in to give you your new ability! Plus you get access to 20 giant items which really will change up how your home looks.

All I know is this update should ensure fans have some more time with New Leaf before the next installment hits. Now, if you’ll excuse me I have some work to do on my new town!

You’re the Worst S3 E10 ‘Talking to Me, Talking to Me’

After ditching the world of writing Jimmy has finally found peace in the world. Trying to do things he never would have thought to do before. Jimmy is going to build a Treehouse to forever quell his father’s voice. Gretchen is really opening up to therapy and realizing what her mother did to her mentally. It is rather refreshing seeing these two characters change.

Edgar has given up his meds and is smoking weed all day which is actually working. His girlfriend wants him to be her house husband if he becomes to lazy and that of course distresses him. Who would really want to be a house husband, how emasculating.

Jimmy is working to build his tree house and is actually not doing such a terrible job, all things considered. Gretchen is enjoying her food a little to much, as she is trying to be mindful. She is realizing that her mother has always been judging her in her mind and that is an issue. Lindsay is going to have an abortion which is a good thing I suppose.

Working so hard on his tree house Jimmy has finally lost his father’s voice and is ecstatic. He knocks over the ladder and founds himself stuck on his tree house platform. At Dorothy’s audition Edgar meets a Pot comic who suggests he come to his office to work on a project.

Lindsay finishes her final meal for two and gets a text from Paul. Suddenly, its too hard to have the baby aborted, and she meets a woman who offers to talk things out. Gretchen is attempting to meditate and it is too hard for her so she stops.

Stuck up in the tree, Jimmy’s writers instincts are kicking in as his characters guide him to write.  Gretchen runs to stop Lindsay from not aborting her baby  and it works.

Edgar goes to his meeting and is surprised that it is far more business like then he expected. Though he does get hired to do a few pot spots at traffic lights.

After her abortion Lindsay seems to have lost it. Gretchen works to figure out what she is doing thinking she is so mindful. Edgar tells Dorothy about his news and she is happy that he has a job. But clearly she is upset because as an actress she can’t get work and he instantly lands a job. Definitely going to cause trouble for them and could possibly break them up too.

Having spent a day in a tree Jimmy now examines the weirdness of the world below. He tears up when he sees Gretchen, he does really care for her. Watching the Wheel of Fortune Gretchen loses herself for a moment as Jimmy walks into the house. Jimmy jumped from the tree and after soul searching thinks his whole life could be wrong, even Gretchen.

With only three episodes in the season, I wonder how this will all play out for our duo. Will they stay together, will Edgar run Dorothy off due to his success, and will the season end on a low note. With three weeks left we will know soon enough! Next week is The Inherent, Unsullied Qualitative Value of Anything.

 

Zero Escape: The Nonary Games is coming to PS4 and Vita in 2017

The Zero Escape series is a wonderful and twisted series. I have enjoyed playing all of these amazing games and so have many others.

It is no surprise that they are re releasing the first two games. 999 is totally rebuilt from the ground up and from what they have shown looks incredible. There is even English and Japanese voice acting. With such a text heavy game, voice acting will really make this game more accessible.

If you haven’t played any of the trilogy then you probably don’t know about it. This series is twisted, psychological and pretty deep. It really is worth playing so, go and get if it looks interesting.

The story of each game always involves 9 major character and a master mind who locks them in an undisclosed location. There are puzzles and multiple endings abound. People may die or live depending on your choices and you won’t see the full picture until you complete all the endings.

Really though this sounds like an amazing thing to have both of these amazing games on one disc. I do hope that I can just get 999 as I do already have copies of the other two and they look great on my 3ds. But, to play a fully fixed up 999 would be something wonderful.

The Nonary Games come out sometime in 2017. Really, if you have not had a chance to play them I highly suggest you give these games a shot when it arrives in stores!

The Starters Final Forms are here which will you choose?!

They finally did it they revealed the last stages of Rowlett, Litten, and Popplio. Interestingly enough all of the leaks about what they’d look like really were real. Now I really must admit that they all look really nice and they should as the Final stages usually are very awesome.

Rowlett, the cute little round owl becomes a fierce Grass/Ghost archer called Decidueye. Decidueye really is cool, as he is wearing a hoodie that becomes the string for his bow. Clearly Rowlett has shed its cuteness and then its snobbiness from its second stage Dartrix.

Litten in its final form becomes a Fire/Dark wrestling Tiger known as Incineroar. I think they really didn’t need to make this pokemon stand on its legs, it really should have stayed a quadruped. But it does look menacing and at least it isn’t Fire/Fighting.

Popplio the bold sea lion  becomes a mermaid-esque Water/Fairy seal called Primarina. Primarina is definitely the most girly of the starters and that is okay. Her voice can be as soothing as it is deadly and she loves to perform. Clearly she is based on at least in part by Japanese Idols.

The three other guardians of Alola the Tapu’s were shown. Before now we have only seen Tapu Koko the first guardian. Now we finally get to see who he calls comrades. These pokemon all are super different but each have one amazing Z move called Guardian of Alola. It really does look quite awesome.

First up is Tapu Lele, the Psychic/Fairy of the group who looks rather like a hermit crab. She is rather cute and her ability conjures up psychic terrain which apparently makes things weird.

Then we have Tapu Bulu, who is Grass/Fighting and is clearly Bull like. This pokemon honestly looks funny to me but to each his own. Its ability summons up Grassy Terrain which heals any pokemon on its surface. This Pokemon may be a heavy hitter in the meta games, only time will tell.

Lastly we have Tapu Fini, who is Water/Fairy and when her shell is closed looks like a Marlin. Honestly she has to be my favorite of the three guardians revealed, she just looks the best to me.

Also shown in this trailer was a little cute Pokemon called Cosmog. While it may be cute, it also is going to be integral to the story. I must say I am curious how events will play out and what part this little guy will have in this.

They also showed off Alolan Persian who many feel looks a little garfieldish  and is of the Dark Type. This Pokemon may look somewhat horrendous but it has actually been thought to show off wealth.

The other amazing thing they showed off is some of the Post Game fun we will have. They showed off a league in the making and a tremendous facility called the Battle Tree. After showing off that the Sinnoh Champ Cynthia and the Ralts adoring trailer Wally, they really showed something amazing. Red and Blue are going to be in Sun and Moon, and of course you can battle them. Being the 20th anniversary of the games it makes sense that they’d be in the game, maybe we will even head back to Kanto as the main character moves from there anyway.

Amazing World of Gumball S5 E8 ‘The Scam’

Halloween is upon Elmore and everyone is excited for the great night of the year. In her own way Ms.Simian is also in the mood. Dressed up as Beetlejuice Gumball tells a story. Telling a story he tells them not to say a certain name and ends up saying it multiple times. Apparently summoning a vicious demon, but it turns out to just be Carrie the ghost. It’s good to see other character doing things and Carrie fits the bill as this is a Halloween episode.

Darwin is upset that Gumball is scamming the people and scaring them. Every year Gumball scams the town out of candy, and Darwin is sick of it. He wins over Darwin by telling him that Carrie will need a body to possess to eat candy. Darwin has some feelings for Carrie so he would love to be possessed by her.

The trio scams everyone and gets all the candy they could eat. In a ghostbusters style sequence they solve crime after crime, that of course they cause with Carrie’s help. They keep taking candy until they feel like they should stop. As they are about to dig in, they find the villainous ghost is actually real.and now they actually have to stop it.

All the ghost wants is candy so they feed him what they have. They have to run though as they have run out of candy. Darwin tries to speak to the creature and make him feel. Carrie promises to marry him so he will stop his assault. Darwin is heartbroken but Gumball throws one piece of candy and blows up the beast.

Darwin tries to ask Carrie out and almost gets a yes when Gumball pulls him away. A classic episode of Gumball with some good references all in one Halloween episode. This show really is a treat to watch.

 

Amazing World of Gumball S5 E7 ‘The Code’

Gumball and Darwin are trying to watch videos online but to no avail. It turns out Gumball’s father Richard has been stealing his neighbors internet and now he has stopped that. Of course he’d be stealing the internet, he doesn’t work and being home all day he’d need something to do.

With the internet down Gumball and Darwin pretend to use online services offline. Humorously doing what we really do, it shows how strange our actions can be to the outside world. They begin leaving reviews on all things in a store.

The duo travels into cyberspace and goes into incognito mode so they can’t be traced. They brake into his internet and get away from the fire wall before disguising themselves as a trojan horse. Of course this is all in their imagination. I really love how real the imagination sequences feel I always end up thinking the events are actually happening.

They find out that the internet isn’t changed, their neighbor is just using it up with toolbars. As soon as they get home they are psyched to use the internet when the power goes out and their father asks for a quarter for their electric meter. What a sad way to live, truly would be troubling living in these circumstances that is for sure.

A pretty meta episode of The Amazing World of Gumball where our heroes commented on the internet world. Shows don’t always do things like this especially cartoons, though this is changing. The world without internet would certainly be difficult for many especially those who grown up in its power.  All in all a good episode though, this show is something else. Excited for the next episode ‘The Scam’

Big Bang Theory S10 E6 ‘The Fetal Kick Catalyst’

Penny has been asked to go to a convention to sign autographs for Serial Apist. Leonard is at first  down on this because the convention is dinky but he of course changes his mind. Amy wants to have guests over and Sheldon needs to know what kind of event she wants to throw. He destroys her thoughts as usual.

Cuddling his wife Howard feels the baby kick. He suddenly freaks out because they aren’t ready for a baby. Amy comes in and sees Sheldon has prepped a party with an odd group of people as a trial run.

Howard and Raj come in after shopping for baby stuff. Bernadette is upset that Howard went shopping and even has a minivan for 24 hours.

Leonard and Penny are at the convention when a man comes to talk to Penny. He tells her that her movie was awful and so was her acting, but that he loves it. Suffice it to say Penny is both flattered and hurt as anyone would be.

Sheldon is having trouble hosting because he is afraid of opening a bottle of champagne. I like seeing Sheldon out of his element, he really has grown over these seasons.

Penny’s fans are shocked that Leonard is married to her. I mean I’d probably be shocked too.

Howard shows off the minivan to Bernadette. When he tries to pull the crib out he pulls his back. She drives him to the hospital and decides to buy the van because it is the best for the baby and her.

Leonard becomes a focal point when he tells them how he won over Penny. Of course Penny lets him have his moment because she loves him.

Stuart is upset that no one really tries to hang out with him and starts leaving the party. Sheldon feels bad and tells him that he truly is one of the best people he knows.Sheldon and Stuart get drunk together and are best friends.

 

The Odd Couple S3 E2 ‘Food Fight’

Oscar is having lunch with his assistant Dani and manager. Felix walks in with his girlfriend  happy to have her back. The owner of the restaurant played by Fred Willard, says he might be forced to close the restaurant. Oscar goes to ask for a loan and is rebuffed, so he asks Felix for help. Felix is on board, but he wants to fix up the place his way of course. This won’t go badly, right?

Felix has invited his foody friends to his new bar, and has really changed things up. The Bar is packed to the gills and Felix is super excited. Oscar goes to sit down and finds his booth is taken over. The bar has lost all of its gritty charm and Oscar leads his friends out of the restaurant.

Felix comes home and sees that the place is packed with customers who hate what Felix did to the bar. Felix storms off after Oscar yells at him. Felix attempts to compromise with Oscar who messes it up. Dani suggests Oscar should fix things and he is rebuffed by Felix.

Felix comes in to work trying to make things perfect. The owner comes in and is livid, they lost money and it is all Felix’s fault. When Felix comes home they both attempt to do the big gesture of giving up their respective restaurants.  Oscar’s friends come over and his “bar” gets one final night.

Oscar and his friends are back at the bar enjoying the fries. The oil used may be suspect but the fries are good and that is all that matters. This episode was a nice one, and I’m glad that the guys were able to work things out.
