Life in Piece S2 E1 Moving In, Moving Out, Pill, Baby Shower

Moving In: The first story of this season has Heather and Tim’s son Tyler and his girlfriend Clementine aiming to move in together. The parents have a meeting to stop their son from getting married. They go back to the his girlfriends house and finds they didn’t go there. His girlfriends family is certainly not normal per-say.

Going to see her Mother Joan she finds her son living there. His mother finally accepts his marriage and them living together under their roof.

Moving Out: The brother Matt is moving in with his girlfriend Colleen after moving out of his parents garage. Her old roommate is a monstrous woman who is ruining their life. Her masculine female roommate wants to wrestle him or she won’t move out.

Of course for comedies sake she beats him soundly. It is rather humorous seeing such a beast of a woman take down the scrawny yet strong willed Matt.

Pill: The dad is in the hospital suffering from the prolonged effect of Viagra. Their daughter calls and soon brings the family in to find out what is wrong. Of course they are all shocked and the men feel down about it. The dad finds out his wife has been crushing up Viagra in his smoothie every morning. Humorously he finds his life to just be a lie.

Baby Shower: Jenn is heading to her baby shower with Greg and their baby Lark when she has to change her clothes. Jenn has no idea that they are throwing her a baby shower since Greg told them accidentally. They all just want to celebrate her new baby so this will be hard for them to hide their joy.

They all act awkwardly as they usually are allowed to show their support for big events. John is drinking even though he is on drugs from the hospital. In trying to help change the baby the youngest child Sophia hands her a baby shower present. After a touching moment with her Greg’s mom she is finally okay with the baby shower. Of course it is best that she let them celebrate her baby.

A good first episode of the second season. This show is really something great because the family is so real even if the events that occur are quite zany. I love watching this show and seeing how things play out. Here’s hoping the rest of the season is just as good!

You’re the Worst S3 E9 ‘The Seventh Layer’

Paul and Vernon are hanging out which doesn’t happen as they are so different. Clearly these two are quite different.

Their car soon stalls and they wait on the side of the road for help. Having finished all his drinks, Vernon leads Paul into the woods to find a creek. They find the creek and Vernon jumps in. It is so humorous watching these two men who really are too different to spend time together.

Paul wants to get home but is quite troubled since Lindsay’s special friend is coming over. Paul really wants to get home but Vernon wants to bunker down.

They seem to be having fun until nature calls Paul. Reading the receipt from the gas station he finds that Vernon put diesel in his car. They get into a fight but soon stop when a squirrel is caught in Vernon’s pit trap.

Pledging that they will drive to Mexico they reassert their manhood but soon hear a bear. Running they end up rolling down a short cliff and are knocked out. They make it out of the woods and Vernon wants to leave but can’t do it. He tells Paul he will signal when he is about to leave and it is sure that these two are friends now.

I am curious how this will continue to play out. I am surprised that these two have become friends but it certainly won’t do anything to the show’s dynamic. It was really nice to have an episode focus on other side characters who are just as important to the show as a whole. Excited for what comes next!

Gotham S3 E7 Mad City: Red Queen

After Mad Hatter shot Valerie Vale in the stomach this episode opens with Jim waiting for Valerie to wake up. Valerie breaks up with Jim since she truly believes he loves Lee. Jim really is nothing but trouble to the women he loves.

Mad Hatter is looking for a way to enhance his blood virus and meets with a scientist. He gets his hand on a dangerous psychotropic drug calls Red Queen and immediately uses it on its creator.

Nygma and his new lady love are together after 12 hours of being together. Realizing its so late, he asks her to dinner and kisses her before heading off to see Penguin. He tells Penguin he is in love which shocks and disgusts him because he loves him.

The Hatter goes to find Alice’s corpse, so can use her blood. At the Wayne Manor Bruce is cooking up a feast, clearly someone important is coming over, it is Cat after all. Bruce is heading toward becoming Batman slowly but surely.

Jim heads in to help find Tetch but is rebuffed because he doesn’t want to be a cop. Penguin is preparing for a party and wants to have Nygma his plus one, but of course Nygma has his date.

Barnes is in his office when he is told that the virus has been tested and just gets more vicious as it gestates.Mad Hatter is preparing his sister’s blood for use in poisoning the city.

Lee is talking to Mario is upset about Jim and the Hatter’s interaction with Lee. Just then Jim comes in with a gift for Vale and sees them talking. Lee tries to get Jim to tell her he really wanted to save her, but of course Jim is afraid.

Penguin heads to the library to glean knowledge and meet Nygma’s lady love. Penguin tells her that Nygma went to Arkham in hopes of scaring her off. She seems scared but also quickly seems to brush it off. Something is up with this Kristen Kringle clone.

The Hatter appears in the hospital and leads him on a dash before using Red Queen on him. Penguin is at his party smug that he scared off Nygma’s love when he bumps into Hatter who obviously he does not know.

Jim is feeling the effects of the drug and sees Babsy in elevator worker attire. Jim tries to escape but he is in for a bumpy ride. He meets Bruce at the GCPD and sees Penguin in a war sequence. He soon sees Bruce again and sees everyone that has died because of him. Wearing a Gordon mask Bruce shoots him in the stomach and pushes him off the ledge.

Barnes and Bullock are interrogating a scientist when Barnes goes off the rail. They figure out that the Hatter is going to poison the Founder’s dinner where all the higher ups will be.

Gordon is back in the elevator and has a humorous encounter with Babsy. He is now at home in a 50’s style home with a dream of Lee and what his kids would look like. Of course this happiness won’t last long because Jim is quite the mess.

He ends up in a padded cell with Babsy and she stabs him in the neck. Jim certainly doesn’t want Lee, I’m sure of it, she is a little too nice.

Bruce is sitting in front of a cold dinner with no Cat to enjoy it with. When Alfred comes to clean up she appears. Bruce is hurt that she was late and asks her why, she tells him this is all weird for her and he agrees.

Penguin is at the party talking to the leader of the Court of Owls gushing about Nygma and his actions. She tells him the Court will be in contact in due time, she then vanishes. Suddenly the Hatter comes in cause chaos and force them toast. Just then Barnes and co jump in and Barnes brutally strikes the Hatter. He can tell Alice’s blood has infected him.

Jim has hit the final floor of his trip and is about to face who he really is. She hands him the exit key and he soon ends up in the street with a man dropping Red Queen on the floor. It turns out it his father and he tells him to get in his car.

He and his dad have a talk and Jim lets his words flow. Jim is afraid he destroys everyone, but his father tells him if he was doing good by everyone he’d drop the lone wolf persona. He tells him to look in his ring for the truth as Jim wakes up.

Nygma is talking to Isabella at the manor and telling her about his crime. She is unfazed by this since she has read all about it. Penguin pops in hoping to see Nygma but sees him with Isabella. His plan didn’t go over as he would have wanted, now did it?

Jim looks through his father’s mementos and finds his ring. Jim goes to the GCPD and Barnes tells him they locked up Tetch in Arkham. Jim is calm and asks for his job back. Barnes without a second thought welcomes him back. The leader of the court of owls meets with her commander  and it might just be Jim’s father.

With all that happened in this episode, the next episode looks to be even wilder. Cannot wait to figure out more about Isabella,  Barnes’ blood infection and what will happen because of it.This show certainly just gets better and better.

Regular Show: In Space S8 E19 “Terror Tales of the Park VI”

Regular Show in a vein similar to the Simpsons has a Terror Tales episode every season. The characters all tell stories in hopes of scaring their friends. The space gang is also in attendance and this should be a pretty good episode I think.

Skips is up first with the story ‘Fear Planet’. Drifting through space with little gas the gang is forced to land on Fear Planet where all your greatest fears are realized. Benson jumps out to get gas and is killed by what he fears most, sharks. Skips then goes out and clears his mind so no fears appear. Of course he is afraid of something quite mundane, freestyle Frisbee players.

Mordecai tells Pops to name all the cookies he knows so he doesn’t see bad things. Mordecai goes outside and is soon attacked by all of his friends fears. Skips told the story to tell how much he hates freestyle Frisbee players.

Eileen tells the story ‘King Sized Candy-bars’, where the gang is trick or treating. They reach a house where they will get King Sized Candy-bars and shortly are looking around the manor. Muscle man is taken by a vampire  as Eileen runs to find the others. Next to be taken is Skips leaving only Mordecai, Rigby and Eileen to fight off the vampires. They are all soon bitten and muse about sucking the blood from the humans.

As the gang talks about how scary Eileen’s story was a black hole appears before them. I wonder what will happen to our heroes now?

The last story told by Rigby is ‘Alien Roommate’ where the gang is looking for a new roommate. The gang tries to no avail to find a new roommate to help with living expenses. They soon find an alien who is rather creepy but has money. While she seems like a good roommate at first she soon shows her true colors.

When they try to kick her out, she kills one of their space friends. In an homage to the alien movies they look for their roommate. I am enjoying this sequence the most because it is actually a little scary. They lure her out with her favorite television show and drag the TV out of the house so she chases it. They lead her to the air lock and attempt to release it but she has destroyed it. Muscle Man pushes her out into space and drifts away.

Once the story ends we find they haven’t gotten away from the black hole. They find that their bodies have gone through spaghettification. Neil Degrasse-Tyson talks about the science of black holes and eats them.

I think this was a good final Terror Tales of the Park, though I will miss these stories it ended on a good note. Excited for the next episode as always!

Regular Show S8 E18 ‘Alpha Dome’

Rigby is asleep at the controls as the ship blasts through warp speed. When it stops they are in empty speech. They find the Alpha Dome or the first dome sent into space.  They soon find the dome and the people living their happen to be Puritan in nature.

Their leader is a pockmarked face man named Silas who knows more than what he lets on about computers. The group is led to a pig silo where a robotic pig shoots at them. They destroy the pig with a pitchfork and run to the computer.

There is a log telling of how the leader Silas and his crew headed into a time anomaly. Running into the computer shed, he doesn’t end up losing himself like the rest of the crew.

Silas, realizing our heroes are going to rat him out, deems them witches. The Park’s dome smashes into the Alpha Dome and they begin an attack on the  opposing dome. They push the dome into the the time vortex, careful not move into the vortex themselves. They run into the shed and are not changed by the vortex. Finding the others now super intelligent energy beings they soon get what they needed to from them and are on their way.

Regular Show In Space S8 E16 ‘New Beds’

The gang is in warp drive after the last episode. They are all so curious about why Evil Pops wants Pops. Clearly something big is going to go down between them before the series ends.

Skips finds that his bed destroyed and they all decide they need beds, so they head to a Space store that’s clearly like Ikea. They are greeted by a Big Bird type Alien and soon head through a crazy mall as a bounty hunter follows. They see all the beds in stock, and there are some really interesting beds.

They go to get some Meatball subs and the bounty hunter is watching. They soon find the Bounty Hunter is chasing them and run through the store and its Oversized furniture room. They hide inside an armoir named Glom that talks to them and says Pops is the chosen one.

They are let out of the Armoir and run to leave. They need their beds though and as they get them the hunter catches up to them. She freezes the exit but Pops and the gang defeat her and trap her in a display. They head back to the dome and tell High Five Ghost and Muscleman what happened. The episode ends with them realizing they don’t know how to put together their new beds.

Quite a humorous episodes with a funny look at a popular store. I am liking that this season is centered around Pops as he has always been such a weird character.

Regular Show In Space S8 E17 ‘Mordeby and Rigbecai’

Mordecai and Rigby are doing inventory to see what supplies they have. They soon find a teleporter which definitely won’t end up horribly. Of course they end up playing around and soon Rigby pushes Mordecai into the teleporter and they change some parts.

Benson comes in upset at the duo again because they are slackers. He takes keys so they can’t fix their issue. Muscleman comes over and is shocked by the pair’s new change. He tells them if they don’t fix this they will eventually turn into each other.

They turn off the light and steal the keys. Stepping in they change even more.  While Rigby loves the height, Mordecai hates his shortness. Rigby suggests they play punchies and wins because he is stronger now.

When Muscleman finds them again he ends up fixing Mordecai but Rigby fuses with Mordecai and Muscleman, making a monster. They end up knocking Rigby into a hole where a teleporter lies and fix him too. Poor Rigby can’t catch a break, he’s always just gonna be short.

Really another awesome episode of this wonderful show. Seeing a fused version of the heroes was humorous as well. The creators really are pulling out as many stops as they can to make this season anything but regular Can’t wait for next week’s episode ‘Alpha Dome’.

Nintendo Switch Direct coming January 12th 2017!

The Nintendo Switch will be out in March and we know only so much about the system. Now Nintendo is keeping its word that there will be no news about the system until next year.

As sad as it is I am stoked because they announced a Nintendo Switch presentation on January 12th! This presentation will surely be awesome.

With 2 months until the trailer I’m sure they will keep working so they can show us something amazing. Not only will see the launch line up, but we will also find out other info about the system including its price.

So I cannot wait for January 12th and with only 11 weeks it won’t be long until we are hearing about the system which will define Nintendo for at least half a decade maybe longer.

Gotham S3E6 Mad City:Follow the White Rabbit

It looks like all hell is really about to break lose on Gotham. In the opening scene, a newly married couple head into their limousine only to find out the driver is the psychotic Mad Hatter.

Penguin is jubilant beyond belief in his manor, it seems he has found love. Not so surprisingly to me at least its the one and only Ed Nygma or the future Riddler.

Gordon and Valerie are talking and she asks to talk to Lee about Alice’s blood. As soon as she leaves the Mad Hatter’s white Rabbit tells Jim to follow him. Loving how truly Alice in Wonderland flows through  this season, though it isn’t really a surprise. Jim is forced to choose between saving a little boy and the married couple and no surprise, he chooses the little boy.

Lee and her Fiance are getting an engagement party from his father Carmine Falcone.Penguin goes to tell Nygma about his feelings but can’t bring himself to do it. Barnes is at the scene of the crime without his cane, and this surprises Bullock. They find the White Rabbit and realize Tetch is involved in all of this.

Jim is at the location Tetch told him to go to and he sees a terrible collage of the Hatter’s design. Tetch calls him and tells him to look through a “looking glass” and watches as Tetch has his Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum take Valerie away.

Babs and Tabitha are talking, we find out Butch is in a safe house. Jim comes into talk to Babs and ask where Tetch is but he only learns that she told Tetch everything. We see Tetch has also taken Lee and Jim is going to have to choose who he saves.

Barnes is feeling the side effects of Alice’s blood when Bullock tells him they have found Gordon. Gordon arrives at Tetch’s next round and must choose between a pediatrician and a news man, Jim refuses to kill anyone as the cops come in full force, the two men are electrocuted to death.

Penguin is visiting a school as a duty of his mayor-ship, when he finds a young boy who he helps out in his sick way. Penguin invites Ed to dinner and his good buddy accepts. Jim tells Barnes all about what Tetch is doing. Lee and Valerie are locked up in her house and talk about Jim and Alice Tetch’s blood but Lee  won’t have it.

Barnes sends out the cops as Jim talks to the White Rabbit and gets his final clue, its time for a Tea Party. Lee’s fiance storms in and Jim realizes he is the only who can help him. Valerie asks Lee why she came back to Gotham and while Lee breaks her chain, Valerie almost remains stuck. Jim arrives at the Tea Party with guns pointed at him, what could possibly happen next?

Gordon is told to put his gun on a tray and enjoy the party. Tetch tells the story of he and Alice as Mario Falcone sneaks into his own house. Tetch aims to figure out who Jim loves more so he can kill her. Mario Falcone appears but is soon locked up,  as Jim tears the Hatter apart with the truth about Alice. Tetch puts his gun against Jim’s head but can’t bring himself to shoot him.

Jim tells Tetch to shoot Lee and in doing so he shoots Valerie, I really hope she isn’t going to die. Jim, Lee, and Mario get Valerie to the hospital and Jim waits sorrowfully hoping Valerie is fine. Penguin waits at the manor practicing what he will say to Nygma. Nygma is buying a bottle of wine, when he is approached by a woman who looks strikingly like Kristin Kringle the one who Nygma loved.

She tells him a riddle and sparks fly, clearly she is going to cause chaos.Bullock and Jim talk and Bullock wishes Jim had come to talk to him. Jim sits with Lee and waits for Valerie to get out of surgery.

The next episode looks even crazier than this one and I can’t wait for Red Queen next week. I really am enjoying this season’s story lines.

Regular Show In Space S8 E15 ‘Space Escape’

The park members have been working hard and now graduate the program. They are able to travel in space freely to terraform or create new livable planets. They are stoked to go to the graduation party. They head to the store to stock up on more snacks. In the store they see a helmeted man who needs to leave the store or his boss will kill him. His boss floats in and it is evil Pops of course, he freezes the clerk as Mordecai and Rigby run outside.

The enemy ship docks and the villains board just before the crew is supposed to leave. The leader tells them to keep Pops safe, they ask why but there is no time. The leader tries to stall Evil Pops and is successful, they crawl through the vents and drop the vent on some of the villains.

Pops refuses to leave and they charge back in because that is what a real hero would do. Pops really is coming into his own in this season. In the past he has had moments of bravery but this season really is putting him in the spotlight. They send the ship flying and put a balloon in the driver’s seat to distract Evil Pops for  a moment. The domes fly out of the space tree and Evil Pops wants them all destroyed, except of course for Pops. How hard can it be to destroy maybe 100 domes without destroying one?

They initiate warp drive and as it warms up their new friends hold off the enemies. Mordecai and Rigby fly out in their own ships to aid their space friends. The dome and the duo end up in front of Evil Pops’ ship. Their space friend Sure Shot destroys the tractor beam sacrificing himself as he jumps into the vacuum of space. I am curious if he really is gone, only time will tell. The gang warps to who knows where.

Regular Show never disappoints me and these space episodes are a good send off to this amazing show. Always excited for more even though their really isn’t too many left.
