Regular Show: In Space S8 E10 ‘Spacey McSpaceTree’

Mordecai and Rigby are blasting targets when Rigby decides to turn his gun up the max. He is too small to handle the power and blasts the Canadians. Rigby is banned from enjoying many things including the food trucks. If Rigby  learns enough from  Spacey McSpacetree then he can enjoy his fries.

Spacey is a master of safety and has to be around Rigby so he learns how to be safe. Spacey loves safety but is actually the unsafest being because he always causes more damage then he stops.

Rigby can’t sleep and is losing his mind. If he is safe then Spacey won’t appear. He forges a letter from Spacey so he can do the safety test. Rigby puts a double in the car that Mordecai is driving and when Spacey realizes he searches for him. Rigby completes the test and aims to put it int he computer when Spacey barges in.

Spacey breaks Rigby’s test and when he puts it in machine it attacks. Rigby tells Spacey off but when he is in danger Rigby saves him. If Rigby answers the rest of the questions then he will be done with the test and be safe.

Do to Spacey’s insanity Rigby is actually able to pass the test. Spacey may be unorthodox but he really had Rigby’s best interests at heart.Rigby passes his test and is given Spacey’s helmet. They have fries and end up causing a safety issue where Spacey heads back to cryosleep.

Just another good episode in this final season. Being to safe can certainly cause problems that is for sure.

 

This is Halloween, A great time for mobile gaming!

 

Halloween is one of the best holidays around, and not just because of the free candy. Of course being as old as I am I’d rather just go out and buy a small bag of it, to not share but c’est la vie.

Mobile games are something that have really begun to come into their own. They are now able to craft amazing games for phones. Depending on the game they even have access to great teams with so many interesting ideas. Now I don’t play tons of mobile games, okay maybe I dabble in tons.

Halloween is the time of year where these teams really go all out. Specifically I am talking about games like Simpsons Tapped Out, Family Guy Quest for Stuff, and Marvel Avengers Academy. These three games carry some great characters and weight because they are good programming.

Simpsons Tapped Out is the oldest of the games but with such a collection of characters the possibilities are endless. It is such a surprise seeing what they come up with. Every year there is something different to do, with tons of cool prizes and gags galore. Plus the writing is spot on Simpsons and that is spectacular.

This update revolves around Director Lisa and the monster academy. They are invading the town because they heard of a director. Lisa of course is cocky and wants to make the best film ever. Homer and the adults fight giant worms while the kids trick or treat. Try and collect as many coins as you can to trade them in for all sorts of goodies!

Family Guy Quest For Stuff is the second oldest and has all of the humor of the show. It can be crude like the show also but what’s so bad about a little dirty humor. This game is great because even if you have to purchase them, they really pull in all sorts of characters.

This event revolves around James Woods and his mansion previously seen in the Season 9 premiere where some key cast members died. Will James Woods finally be in the games? Yes, yes he is, better have some Reses handy to lead him to a trap if he gets evil.

Marvel Avengers Academy not only has marvel characters to collect it has awesome costumes. Marvel Avengers Academy is a College version of your favorite marvel characters. With all sorts of events passed and more to come this game never dissapoints. From humorous costumes like Loki dressed as Thor to new characters like Misty Knight, Ghost Rider and Blade this event looks like a blast.

So, if you like any of these shows or universes and haven’t given them a try jump in give it a shot. I really do enjoy them all because you get to build your own playspace. They may be mindless and require you to wait but they can be fun diversions and that is always a good thing.

You’re the Worst S3 E6 ‘The Last Sunday Funday’

Sunday Fundays are the greatest things created by You’re the Worst. I find it funny that in the show they have made Sunday Funday something that everyone is doing. So the worsties are going to have to stop doing this so they can feel cool.

Gretchen wants them all to go on a scavenger hunt to find a bar. Jimmy acts like he doesn’t want to help  them find the bar but clearly he does.The Scavenger hunt leads them to a library where they still manage to drink from a flask. Of course the whole idea is to have fun and drink.

Gretchen and the worsties head to see Gretchen’s clients. Her client knows ragtime which is a rather interesting thing. I honestly would have never pegged this character to be of help.  The next stop is the foot clinic where they try to find the next clue. They end up scaring a business man who drops his briefcase. When a phone rings Jimmy solves the next riddle and a key pops out.

Jimmy is really enjoying this quest even though he doesn’t want to admit it. Edgar high is so funny, as he has clearly never been high before. Opening the briefcase they find a picture of themselves taken at the library. On the back is a map which of course will lead them forward.

They call Paul for help and he tells them where they have to go, then joining them. Edgar is high and isn’t flinching at the explosions behind him when before they would have triggered him. He buys fireworks and they launch him in his direction so he can immerse himself. I love how much fun these characters have, it is clear this show is a blast to work on.

They find a qr code that when scanned leads them on another trek and end up at the wrong place. Gretchen and Lindsay fight while Paul watches. Jimmy tears them apart and goes to the house again, thinking they are actors. They are locked up for breaking into someone’s house.

When Paul sits on the toilet, he vanishes and Lindsay thinks she is witch. Jimmy sits and the wall turns letting them in, soon they find themselves in the speakeasy. The speakeasy is boring and the drinks are overpriced. Jimmy and Gretchen both wanted the other to be happy.

Lindsay tells Paul she wants to bed other guys for their marriage.  Jimmy sings at the bar, and has a good voice. Gretchen muses that this is definitely the last Sunday Funday. This episode was filled with good character development, a few sweet moments between characters, and a grand quest. Thoroughly enjoyed this episode and honestly will be sad if this really is the last Sunday Funday.

I am excited as always for the next episode,’The only thing that helps’

What are ya Playin? October 7th, 2016

I am such a glutton for punishment, I’ll tell you what. I am currently investing time in Yokai Watch Bony Spirits while playing a little more Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten past.

Yokai Watch 2 is really a massive game and there is so much to do I’ll probably never complete it all. But seeing as it an RPG and that I beat the final boss, I can be happy. If you haven’t played it, I highly suggest jumping in. You don’t need to play the first one as this one takes all from the first one and doubles it. With 300+ Yokai to collect, 30 bosses to fight, and quests galore, pick up this game. It may seem childish but underneath there is a vicious online battle community that is on par with Pokemon.

Next week I’ll be getting Dragon Quest Builders which is basically Minecraft on steroids. I’ve never been a minecraft fan because honestly it looks like garbage. But, DQB looks amazing and after playing the demo I am so stoked to play it.

Also excited for October 25th to play World of Final Fantasy which is evident from my article I posted saying as much.

There are also demos for Pokemon Sun and Moon/ World of Final Fantasy which I will be playing before the month is out and I love demos, I really do!

Also currently playing Simpsons Tapped out, Family Guy Quest for Stuff, and Marvel Avengers Academy because the Halloween events are a blast.

So really, gaming is something I clearly love to do, I can’t get enough and am a glutton for punishment. Can’t wait for the next gaming experiences to come my way!

Horizon Zero Dawn’s Subquests sound like a blast from the Past…or Future?

Horizon Zero Dawn is a game that I am really looking forward too. As a lover of open world games and someone who really enjoys how different each game can be this looks like a fun game. Running around in a world that is like the past but clearly built around a modern world just sounds cool.

Guerilla Games is hard at work making sure the game is perfect and they are sharing tidbits of information here and there. They recently revealed 5 different types of sidequests that will send Alloy on adventures to fight monsters and grow stronger.

The first major sidequest is going to be the most brutal as they are called Corruption Zones. The baddest of the bad lie in wait here for Alloy to wander in. Will she be able to leave these areas unscathed? That remains to be seen, but if she can she will find things that will really aid her quest.

The other big sidequest is some form of “Hunter’s Guild” in which Alloy will take missions to fight thus and so with a certain weapon. She will have to be on her A game as clearly players will find certain weapons more appealing then others.

Of course there are also random quests which can pop up any time. Tribes you meet will also have quests for you to undertake, as you work to become the head of the tribes. This prehistoric style woman is going to have to work hard to rule the tribes and with the help of the player and the completion of side quests she will be able to do it.

Horizon Zero Dawn is still literally on the horizon and will stay there for awhile as the game comes out February 28th 2017. I am still ready to jump into this world and find out exactly what happened to change our world into this. Alloy’s adventure really is looking like it will be a worth while endeavor.

Regular Show: In Space S8 E9 ‘Fries Night’

Benson is talking to his girlfriend who breaks it off with him. Once again Benson is single, poor guy. Of course he decides to eat wings after this break up.

They decide to have fries instead. Benson runs to find fries and puts on a space suit to get some fries. He is hit by a truck and wakes up in the fry truck. The owner a floating rock named Roxy voiced by Kate Micucci takes him on a supply run so she can make fries. Micucci has a great voice for odd cartoon characters and weirdness is always a good thing in a cartoon.

They head to Potaton 4 to mine for the best potatoes.  They have fun digging until they are beset upon by Potato bugs. He saves Roxy and she begins to fall for him. Of course she does, clearly Roxy is going to make Benson feel better when he shows what a viable partner he is.

They head off to Cornoilio to get oil for the potatoes. Coated in oil he looks even better to the floating rock. Roxy is turned on by Benson when he cuts the potatoes. She calls her friend Crystal who says their relationship would be the ultimate taboo. This pushes Roxy to make a move because clearly she is interested in the gumball machine.

Roxy tries to kiss Benson but it only hurts him. I mean how could a rock head butting you not hurt. She heads out into an asteroid field and Benson chases her.

Benson tells her he needs some time to heal and they make fries together.Looks like they could be a pretty good couple. My biggest question is how she eats the fries as clearly she has no mouth. This episode was rather humorous especially in that they had to go to all of these food based planets to find ingredients. I hope that Benson really is able to find happiness as I think at the end of the day if he were to find someone to love him and stay with him then he could actually be happy.

Regular Show: In Space S8 E8 ‘The Brain of Evil’

Mordecai and Rigby have the afternoon off and have no idea what to do. They discover there is a city inside the ship. They head into a store where there are all sorts of interesting things. Rigby heads into a room and finds a brain in a cage. The brain talks to him and tells him he just wants to see his family.

He lets the brain out and finds out the brain is actually evil, of course it is. Mordecai and Rigby chase after the brain who fights back. They track him down again until he drives off in a car. They head to the security room to see if they can find the brain.

The brain is headed to their dome, what could he want with the park? The park soon blasts off into space with Mordecai and Rigby on it. The leader says they have to shoot down the rogue dome.

Mordecai and Rigby have 10 minutes to beat the brain at his own game. The brain accepts his challenge. They play their game and the Brain thinks he is going to win. The brain gets a check mate but is captured in Mordecai’s salad bowl. Mordecai then tosses him out into the vacuum of space.

World of Final Fantasy is getting a demo!

Now I may not have played many Final Fantasy games but I have grown up knowing the characters and fighting the monsters in games that I have played. I have always enjoyed the series and think it really is a fantastic series of RPG’s

I am excited to play World of Final Fantasy which comes out October 25th. This is interesting because it is actually coming out in America before Japan.

Square Enix has just announced a demo is coming out on the 17th of this month. I’m sure a demo will also come out in the US.

In the demo fans will plunge into a dungeon that is in the game in unique way. They will befriend mirages and fight monsters to get a feel for the game. I love that demos are such a prevalent thing as even though reviews can be enlightening playing the game for yourself can really make or break a purchase.

This game also looks super cute but also has the same Final Fantasy aura of past games. Plus with the new stacking function I am excited to see how this game will play out. I do hope they are able to give us the demo as I really do want to try out this game after watching people play it in convention video.

 

Regular Show:In Space S8 E7 ‘The Dream Warrior’

Pops is having a dream he is hanging out with a bunny when he suddenly has a nightmare. He begins levitating the room like he did in a past episode.  They end up watching a Scooby Doo style show. Regular Show is certainly a show that loves homages to great things.

Pops is dreaming again and ends up in the show. Skips is playing the Daphne style character because obviously that is the most humorous way to go about it. The alien from his other nightmare is in this dream too asking where he lives again.

Benson decides to help him out next and introduces him to the man that helps him sleep. With his sick music he aims to help but Pops realizes this isn’t Sweet Dreams it is the alien. This alien just won’t back down.

Pops is dealing with a nightmare alien and has to stand up to it or it won’t leave. Skips decides to see if they all can mind meld and fight the monster together. They are soon asleep and ready to take on the alien. The alien soundly defeats all of them and is against Pops alone.

Pops stands up to the alien and is able to defeat him by harnessing his power. Soundly defeating him the nightmare alien is sent away on a cartoon style rocket. Pops goes back to his regular dream. Of course Pops dreams of cute things, because he really is a simple child like man.

Meanwhile the Nightmare alien known as Carl is meeting with his boss. His boss just happens to be an evil form of Pops. Looks like he will be the ultimate enemy for our heroes. I am excited to see what evil Pops has in store for our heroes.

Dartrix,Torracat, and Brionne…Oh My! Here come the Alolan starter evolutions!

Once again new Pokemon News has been shared with us and boy howdy was it some good news. Long have we waited for news of the starter Pokemon evolutions and the wait is finally over. Though I must say I’m thinking their might be multiple evolutions for these Pokemon.

Dartrix is the evolved form of Rowlet and really looks like quite the snob. I’m curious what this owl will evolve into, it really could go in many directions. Will it actually become an archer like the “leaks” have purported?

Torracat is the evolved form of Litten and it looks like quite the cool cat. I’m not sure how this could possibly become the supposed leaked evolution as it is on four paws. Though the idea of it punching is disconcerting. We don’t need another Fire Fighting starter.

Now Brionne is the evolved form of Popplio but I just think this Pokemon really is just to feminine to evolve from the boasting Popplio. I’m really curious to see what it evolves into, and if there really are multiple evolutions for these starters.

This next Pokemon was once Anime only but now Ash-Greninja is joining the Pokemon Games. I’m excited to add this Pokemon to my collection as it is really just so cool. Ash-Greninja has really been such a great Pokemon on the series, and to actually be able to have it on a team if one wanted is spectacular. This Pokemon really has been part of probably the most exciting saga of the Pokemon Series and I am excited to see him in action.

There is also a new connection area called the Festival Plaza. It really does remind me of Join Avenue from Generation 5. You can link up with people playing the game and using special points, deck out your plaza.

When the Pokemon are in the box they can now go to a special  island. Here other Pokemon can join them and might even become your own Pokemon. Finally Pokemon are going to be able to do something while they are boxed. They can  even go on a treasure hunt and find some great things.

Also announced officially was the Pokemon Sun and Moon demo which comes to the Eshop on the 18th of this month, one month away from the release.

With more news coming on the 14th, Pokemon Sun and Moon keeps looking better and better. Cannot wait for November 18th!
