Regular Show: In Space S8 E6 ‘Ugly Moons’

In space the head of the space tree is working out when he is called by a subordinate.  He is suddenly mooned by a group of  men in another space city. He calls Muscle Man in to help prank his archenemy.

He tells Muscleman that he will have everything at his disposal. Mitch is excited to prank in space of course. They go to see Dr.Prankenstein which ends up including a Young Frankenstein reference. He  then calls in his friends in an A-Team style reference.

The operation is going to be called Operation Slime Bomb. They are going to drop them off at key points to totally slime the ship.  The foes prank the head of the tree again and moon our heroes. The heroes begin the operation they get into the space bush and head to their drop points. They are quickly captured by the enemy but Mitch sets off his bombs which is quickly disarmed.

Pranking has always been a part of Mitch’s character so I can’t see him failing. They are sent back to the ship and yelled at by the leader. It is hilarious because now that they have this boss, even Benson is yelled at.

The real prank was in the giant bottle which the enemy took from them. Muscleman then moons the slime coated villains. Of course he was able to defeat them, he is certainly the greatest prankster. Just another solid episode on this final season.

Gotham S3 E3 ‘Mad City: Look Into My Eyes’

Gotham Season 3 is really beginning to heat up with Bruce’s clone, and older Ivy a new relationship for Jim, and the return of Lee, this season will be amazing. Barbara has a special guest at her nightclub, a wondrous hypnotist. The man hypnotizes a wealthy patron and truly takes over his mind.

The hypnotist intrigues Barbara because with his skill he can make people do absolutely anything. This man is none other then the villainous Jarvis Tetch, or the one and only “Mad Hatter”.

Bruce’s clone is starving and introduces himself as 5. 5 woke up in a lab a year ago. He wanted to meet Bruce as soon as he saw him. Alfred wants to get rid of the boy, and Bruce says not until they figure out what he is.

Jim and Valerie spent the night together and Jim is a little smitten. Barnes is happy that Lee is coming back to work for the GCPD. They see each other after such a long time and Lee is surprised. She is moving back to Gotham with her fiance and Jim is clearly a little crushed by the thought of working with his ex.

The man Tetch hypnotized wakes up to answer the phone, Tetch tells him that his home isn’t his anymore. He has the man kill his wife and then himself. This man clearly is insane as one would expect the Mad Hatter to be. He is looking for his sister Alice so at least he isn’t all bad.

Alice is renting an apartment and ends up affecting the landlord in some way. I’m curious what her power actually is.

The former mayor decides to take on his old position as mayor. Penguin waddles in and announces his candidacy for Mayor. He wants an emergency election and his mob is ready for him to win.

Bruce and Alfred are training as they usually do. 5 comes in and Bruce insists Alfred spar with him, 5 is able to hold his own against Alfred. When Alfred hits him he doesn’t feel an ounce of pain, this boy isn’t normal.

The Mad Hatter goes to see Gordon and ask him to find his sister. He is going to give Gordon double his usual fee for finding Alice. Of course bounty hunter Gordon is on the case!

Penguin has a pretty decent size election base. He wants to make Gotham safe again, similar to a certain United States Presidential candidate. i could definitely get behind Penguin as mayor as he really is just one of the best characters on the show. Penguin is then told the former mayor wants to meet with him.

Bruce is talking with 5 when Selina comes in, upset by the loss of Ivy. Bruce holds her hand and they have a sweet moment where she asks him for help.He tells her no, and she is hurt because this is the first time she has asked for help. 5 watches from outside the room and perfects a Bruce voice. There is more to this Bruce clone that is for sure.

Selina is looking for Ivy when Gordon meets up with her asking for help finding Alice. If she helps him then Gordon will look out for Ivy.Gordon goes to the last place Alice was seen and takes out the owner who knocks him hard on the head. Going to the hospital he meets Lee’s fiance. If he hurts Lee in anyway Gordon will deal with him.

Penguin and the ex mayor have a meeting and when Penguin looks like he is going to attack him his goons come out. But Penguin has even more goons of course.

Gordon finds Alice and when he tells her that her brother is looking for her she runs. Looks like the siblings don’t see eye to eye, obviously because he is insane.

5 cuts his hair to look like Bruce as his whole goal is clearly to take over his life. Bruce wakes up to find 5 gone and realizes he must go find him. Penguin heads to Arkham  to meet with the new man in charge and asks for a certain friend’s release.

At the nightclub, Tetch hypnotizes Babsy into being madly in love with him. When he rejects her she breaks a glass and pushes it close to his throat. Gordon reports to Tetch and they talk privately about the situation involving Alice. Tetch then hypnotizes Gordon into walking over to the building’s ledge. He tells Jim to step off the ledge when Alice appears, she shoots Tetch breaking his hypnotism. Though of course Tetch is able to get away to cause more trouble later.

The Riddler is released from Arkham to go and join Penguin as a part of his campaign.The evil dynamic duo are back together! Lee and her fiance Dr.Mario are on a date when he talks of Jim. Mario’s dad is one Carmine Falcone the old mob boss of Gotham and he walks in to join them.

Selina is sitting outside when 5 comes to see her, apologizing as Bruce. 5 is clearly going to be a big plot point of this season. I am excited for next week’s episode ‘New Day Rising’ where the Hatter comes back with a vengeance.

 

 

 

New Girl S6 E3 ‘Single and Sufficient’

Schmidt and Cece are going Glamping and realize they can’t just go with Winston and Ally. They decide to take Jess who invites her odd group of single friends.

Schmidt reads Nick’s story which he happens to keep in a big Ziploc. Nick wants his notes but Schmidt tells him he has no notes. He really thinks Nick’s story is brilliant. Ally comes back and jumps on Winston immediately.

Cece’s ex Robbie is the one who started off Jess’ single group and this just adds another layer of awkward. Jess and Robbie defend their single group and single life. The group really is just filled with “winners”. They decide to take a group picture of their single group.

Nick is psyched out by the blank page before him and Schmidt’s overconfidence him him. He can’t write a word of his story. He calls Schmidt and begs him for notes. With nothing coming from that he asks Winston to give him notes.

The single group is trying to enjoy their single life.Two of the members begin to cavort and Robbie goes to stop it. Robbie and Jess have a moment and clearly are going to be something.

Winston and Ally find that Nick’s story is brilliant beyond belief. They both found their sex to be just a little to much and take the scenic route. Robbie comes into the yurt where Jess Schmidt and Cece are talking about him. Robbie and Jess end up singing together and he actually has an amazing voice.

Nick calls Schmidt for notes, and Schmidt tells him he needs to be proud of his own work. Nick takes this to heart as he always does, what could come from this?

Jess and Robbie are brilliant singing together. Jess stops the song and the group ends up fighting. Robbie tells them all that he has feelings for Jess. Jess says she isn’t into a relationship right now. Jess is just totally in love with Nick.

Schmidt and Cece decide to go and make at least one pair of couple friends. Nick creates a character based on Schmidt and he is a villain. Schmidt is upset by this and wants to give Nick notes. Of course he’d want to give him notes as he feels insulted.

Jess goes out to read Nick’s novel and runs into Robbie. They share a table and clearly the sparks fly. Even though I haven’t watched Brooklyn 99 I am curious about next week’s crossover!

The Last Man on Earth- S3 E2The Wild Guess Express

After the crazy season premiere Todd hits the madman Pat with the A Team van. They find a house and go inside to find that it is Cher’s house, Cher is even still in her bed, dead of course.

Everyone minus Phil thinks they need to drive far away from the area in case Pat follows them. Phil disguises himself as four other guys and goes to look at Pat’s corpse. He decides to say a few words about their time together but still thinks he needs a proper burial. I mean it definitely is true, you don’t want a body that big laying out even with the world being so barren.

Phil goes back to report to the gang that Pat is dead and Todd is devastated to know he killed someone. Phil lies to Todd and tells him that Pat is alive but that he can’t tell anyone.Phil sets up the house to make it look like Pat is alive.

They go back to tell the gang and Todd makes Phil tell them Pat is alive. They all freak out and run out of the house trying to figure out what they have to do. Phil has once again set off a chain of events with his lies.

Gail goes to tell Melissa Pat is alive and she wants to head over there to kill him. Clearly killing Jon Hamm’s character has awakened a beast. I wonder how this is going to change her, she already is quite volatile.

Phil goes in to talk to Carol and tells her that Pat really is dead. Carol is happy that Phil was so selfless for his friend. They then make it look like Pat is watching them from afar on the beach. In the end Phil uses a bone saw to cut off “Pat’s” head.

Louis, Pat’s old ally is upset that Phil is continuing to lie. The gang hugs Todd who realizes he is going to have to live with his murder. Phil takes them back to the house and tells them what he did. They then see the boat is gone, so Pat really is alive after all.

I’m curious how they are going to deal with this new idea. Will Pat be a full season presence, or will he actually be killed off quickly? We have two weeks until we get more of this wonderful show with the third episode ‘You’re all going to diet’

The Simpsons S28 E2 ‘Friends and Family’

Smithers and Burns are off to the doctor and Burns needs to hide so no one thinks he is sick.  He is seeing a therapist and is about to talk about his anger. When he brings it up he yells “anger issues” for their session. He’s been seeing him for 70 years and soon kicks the bucket. Burns is quite happy to have outlived all of his older friends.

Marge remembers when they saw the therapist who died. Little did she know Maggie talked during it and since no one heard her, she said she’d never speak again. It is always funny seeing Maggie talk since she rarely does it being a baby and all.

Frink the egg-headed scientist is wearing a VR headset when he gets hit by Burn’s car. Frink gives Burn’s the headset and passes out. What could Burns want to do with this new  gizmo?

Burns is enjoying VR but besides one space adventure it is all porn. Burns  thinks he needs a family and ends up hiring the Simpsons besides Homer. He is happy to see his “family” and even creates home videos. Burns has them live in his guest house and says they will work for him for ten years.

Homer ends up having the time of life since he is living alone. He’s naked on the roof when he starts talking to a new neighbor who is also on her roof. She clearly has no interest in Homer but there is still a little tension.  Homer decides a man and a woman can just be friends but his decisions are never wrong right?

He gets dressed and hangs out with his new friend. They end up going out in a nice platonic relationship though all assume they are dating. This woman is his best friend because they are so similar, and he realizes how much he really loves Marge especially since she isn’t exactly like him.

Burns fires the Simpsons saying his life is better without a family. Homer’s new best friend Julia becomes a fight, when Homer acts like he really has feelings for her. Marge flips out. Marge apologizes to Homer, but Homer shows that Julia has taught him a thing or two about marriage that makes Marge happy.

Burns has his final fantasy which is his death. He then is in hell and he takes a selfie with the Devil, though the device isn’t plugged in, Dun Dun, Dunnn!

All around good episode of the Simpsons and I am excited for the next episode.

 

Big Bang Theory s10 E3’The Dependence Transcendence’

Sheldon, Leonard, and Howard are all working late at the lab. They have to finish their work in two months due to Sheldon and Sheldon wants to go home. He is always such a child, it is rather humorous.

Sheldon is upset with Leonard for being a tyrant. Penny decides to join Amy at a scientific style party. Howard is off to work all day and Raj decides to spend the day with Bernadette.

Sheldon is asleep and has a dream about the Flash offering him an energy drink. The first one is free as per usual when it comes to drug references. Quite humorous seeing the Flash on the show after there have been so many homages to the red speedster.

Penny and Amy arrive at the party and it is only them and an man who loved Amy at one point. It is interesting seeing how they let drama unfold in this show, and how the characters work so well with each other.

Raj and Bernadette are cleaning out the new baby’s room. Bernadette is obviously not totally happy about having a baby. Sheldon comes in after drinking an energy drink and he feels so energized it unnerves his friends.

Penny is bored out of her mind at this party, when Bert tells them that Amy is the most popular woman on campus. This of course changes her mind a little, as she sees a resemblance to her high school life. Amy is just thrilled to be popular.

In the lab Howard wants to take a break. Sheldon is tired after the energy drink dissipated. Sheldon is displaying signs of caffeine withdrawal, it is quite humorous to watch. I’m sure he is done with energy drinks now.

Raj and Bernadette are still hanging out. Bernadette is upset and needs Raj’s help. Bert is gushing about Amy and Sheldon. Raj and Bernadette go for a drive. Bernadette just wants to be excited for her baby but can’t.

Sheldon is upset with himself that he can’t figure out his part of the work. He falls asleep on Leonard. Bert sends off the ladies and tells them he loves both of them they run off. Raj calls his dad to ask for help. His dad makes her feel better hurting Raj in the process.

The guys tell the general they need more time to get this done and are able to get an extension. Though they leave right after to see a movie which puzzles the general. I am excited for next week’s episode ‘The Cohabitation Experimentation’ where Amy moves in with Sheldon.

Family Guy S15 E2 ‘Bookie of the Year’

Peter has is going to fair with the family. He is suddenly giving a tablet to an old Italian woman. It’s rather funny, as he begins to act like her son. At the Italian festival they meet Frank Sinatra Jr. They decide to start their own Italian restaurant in Quahog.

Chris gets angry and breaks a carnival game. Lois is troubled and begins talking to Peter. Peter is in the elevator with Beyonce and Jay Z and is troubled by their fight. Always so topical, even if it is after the event occurred.

Peter and Chis throw apples at cars and Chris hits the coach’s car. He wants him to join his Baseball Team. Of course Chris is happy to join the team which is surprising because Chris clearly isn’t into exercising.

Frank Stewie and Brian are at the home of their new restaurant and Frank tells them to go steal the chairs and tables from the other restaurants.  Rather humorous to think the son of the great Frank Sinatra would do this.

Chris earns Peter 100 bucks when he bets he will strike him out with another Dad.Clearly they are going to make a tidy sum off Chris’s arm. This can’t possibly end well.

Brian, Stewie, and Frank Sinatra Jr sing a song about their restaurant. Seth McFarlane’s voice is always just so good. The music in the show is also always on point.

Chris is making them a lot of money until Tom Tucker talks about his talent on the news.Now, the guys have to scramble to figure out how to keep  making money from Chris’ arm.

Frank is comping all the meals which means they are losing money. Of course he is doing this, he doesn’t care much about the money, he just wants a place for people to enjoy a good meal.

They can only make money if Chris takes a dive. When Lois finds out of course she is angered. The guys decide to deal with Chris’s arm and break it.

Frank, Stewie, and Brian’s restaurant goes under when they decide to make people pay for the food.  They turn off the light and then proceed to light the restaurant on fire.

The guys broke Chris’ arm and Peter is upset by the fact. He realizes he should have never bet on Chris’ games. He pitches a ball and breaks Quagmire’s arm. Chris ends up having all the players walk when he tries to use his left arm. Peter is just happy he didn’t have to pay any of the bets off.

Another good episode of Family Guy, filled with good jokes, a nice farewell to a long time celebrity guest star and a good musical number. Rest in Peace, Frank Sinatra Jr.

Come and Grab your friends for a good cry, Adventure Time ends in 2018

The year after Regular Show and The Amazing World of Gumball Ends, Adventure Time is also closing its curtains. This is really quite astounding that in a pretty short time three of the best Cartoon network shows are ending.

Adventure Time is really something to be admired as it did open the door for better cartoons. Before Adventure Time cartoons were stagnating. The old school violence of Tom and Jerry was thrown out and the cartoons were just trying to push funny.

Then Adventure Time began and suddenly a young boy of twelve was yelling how sexy women were. The violence was back along with amazing songs, a gripping and often emotional story, and honestly just plain old fun.

Really if you haven’t watched Adventure Time watch it now, I’m sure even if you watched an episode a day you could finish it before the show ends. This show really did open up a new world of cartoons and the fact that it lead the charge for shows like Regular Show, Amazing World of Gumball, and Steven Universe makes it that much greater.

Of course there is still some time for us all to enjoy the amazing world created by the master Pendleton Ward. I will stay tuned to the rest of Finn and Jake’s adventures and  will most likely cry when the show ends.

I will be really sad when this show ends but luckily I have bought the DVD’s so I will always be able to re watch my favorite duo’s adventures. So again, if you haven’t watched this show I implore you to find a way to watch it and you will find something enjoyable about it I am sure!

What Are Ya Playing? September 28th 2016

This month I have been playing many games, even though of course I have more to finish. I’m almost done with Phoenix Wright Spirit of Justice which is just a brilliant game like all that came before it.

I’ve also been wrapped up in Dragon Quest VII Fragments of the Forgotten Past. That game has over 50 classes and so much story to read it is a little unbearable. Though really the level of customization balances it out. I don’t think I’ll ever 100% this game as just beating it has taken me 100 hours plus.

On Friday Yokai Watch Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls comes out and I am all set to play it. I loved the first game and can’t wait to see the new Yokai. As the Pokemon type super hit, this game is really worth the play if you haven’t given it a shot. If you haven’t played the first one feel free just to buy the sequel as it has a tutorial in the beginning just in case.

The res of this year is looking like a ton of good gaming fun to be had. I’ve already pre-ordered World of Final Fantasy and even though I haven’t played a lot of the games it looks like a solid RPG. I’m even probably going to get Dragon Quest Builders as playing Dragon Quest VII has sucked me into this new world.

I clearly have some sort of RPG addiction but that’s not bad… is it?

I’m also playing Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch which is stellar. I mean a studio Ghibli based game? I am ready for the sequel and will probably get that too even if it isn’t worked on by Ghibli. It still looks Ghiblish enough for me and I think that is what matters.

All I know is I love gaming and with so many games including the long awaited Pokemon Sun and Moon, there are tons of adventures out there ready for me to undertake. Plus with 2017 on the horizon, The NX coming out, along with Breath of the Wild, Persona 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn, the future of my gaming plans really are looking bright.

You’re the Worst S3 E5- ‘Twenty Two’

Edgar is troubled by the world and can’t sleep so he ends up dancing in his room.Edgar is such an interesting character because he is just like so many of us just trying to get by. He decides to go out for a run and sees someone running from a van though its just the newspaper boy. His hands start to shake as he brings the pancakes for his friends.

Edgar is very troubled by so many things and is paranoid when he locks eyes with a telephone wire worker. This episode is interesting because it takes place during the previous episode but from Edgar’s perspective.

Edgar goes to buy all of Jimmy’s treats and sees a woman in a burka.He is freaking out and tries to get out of the store as quickly as possible.He goes to see his girlfriend and is forceful with her. She is often afraid of him because of his looks and attitude. She wants him to really try at the VA because they can fix him.

He goes to the VA and has his appointment. The woman likes him and decides to put him in 10 sessions of Virtual Reality therapy. He has stopped taking the drugs he was prescribed and that stops her in her tracks. Sudden;y he flips out and starts breaking chairs. She tells him to make another appointment once he is medicated even though the first one took him a month to get.

His paranoia is really something to see as I think it is quite realistic. The fact that he keeps seeing the same man everywhere he is goes is unnerving even as the viewer. He decides to get drunk and tells Jimmy that he can’t drive Jimmy and Gretchen home.

For a moment it seems like he is going to contemplate suicide until he sees a little paper boat. He is suddenly stopped by a young film crew and they he think he has a good look.He runs back to his car to find it being towed. He gets high with the tow truck driver and finds out twenty two vets jump off the overpass every day.

The man helps him with good conversation about other vets and he drives him home.Edgar realizes the face he has been seeing was from his tape case. Quite funny because he really is freaking but it is just something that makes him laugh.

The end of the episode shows Edgar in a the kids silent film.

This episode was rather interesting. Something that isn’t really shown on TV. It even has a good message thrown in, if you stop asking for help all the time and just start living for yourself you will be happy. Edgar has been just looking for help and hasn’t looked within. Now, he will be working himself to make his life what he wants and should be happier for it. Excited for the next episode but will be sad if it really is “The Last Sunday Funday.”
