Bleach Has Ended After 15 Years Of Publication. Tite Kubo I salute You!

Bleach has and will always be one of my favorite manga. The characters are so vivid and life like. Tite Kubo poured his soul into this series and the manga seems to have really met an end. Though he left it open for a sequel series because apparently he can’t ever really stop.

I remember first watching Bleach years ago, probably in 2005 on Toonami. It was something to look forward too as it was only on then during the weekend. One night a week seeing Ichigo and friends take on Hollows and other crazed villains.

It was one the anime that started my love for the world of Anime. Sure, I had seen Pokemon, Digimon, and Yugioh before but this was different.

It will be weird not having this manga in my life anymore. I mean there is always the chance that it could come back, but it will be odd.

There was a moment where the manga seemed to end in 2011, I won’t spoil it in case people haven’t read it. But I remember, sitting on the bus, literally crying that this was over. Little did I know it would return and 4 or so years later finish with an actual ending.

Would I be happy to see more, sure! But it’s all up to Tite Kubo.The great mangaka who wrote an amazing manga about a young man at the same time as Naruto and Luffy both started their journeys. Now, Naruto is also over but Luffy of One Piece will be sailing for almost a decade.

I can’t wait for more of Tite Kubo’s work. He will always be an important mangaka in my life. So, I salute you Kubo-San. You are magnificent. Now take a rest, you’ve earned it after 15 years of working on a single story.

 

Emily Blunt’s Mary Poppins Sequel Brings In The Wonderful Dick Van Dyke And Julie Andrews

Mary Poppins is one of my favorite Disney Movies. While I am a little apprehensive about a sequel I am also quite excited. After learning that Emily Blunt who slayed as the Baker’s Wife in the film adaptation of Into the Woods is playing Mary Poppins, I was just ready for this to happen.

Now, as this is a sequel everyone wondered if Julie Andrews or Dick Van Dyke would have a place in the movie. Of course, these two actors have aged which is why they were replaced but at the same time they just needed to be approached.

Suddenly it was announced that Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke would be making an appearance in the film. Now it may just be a cameo but it is still amazing. Though really Dick Van Dyke could do something incredible because the way that man dances now is just as good maybe even better then when he starred in Mary Poppins.

I do hope they do Poppins justice because the first one is just magnificent. I really do think it will be spectacular. To have the lead actor from Hamilton, Lin Manuel-Miranda, working together with the one and only Emily Blunt will certainly make for a wonderful performance.

Here’s hoping we learn more about this movie soon, as I am dying to know how this will all play out! Can’t wait for Christmas Day of 2018 for this magical nanny to blow back into the Bank’s and our lives.

Wayward Pines SN 2 Finale – ‘Bedtime Story’

In the aftermath of Jason’s shooting they rush him to the hospital. Carrie coated in blood looks on broken by the events. The Abbies are on their way and they will do whatever they can to complete their objective.

The people begin to abandon the town to return to the freezing as Jason is operated on. Jason dies do the nature of his wound and the risk of the surgery itself. He goes outside to tell the people to evacuate as Jason is dead. Theo gives an impassioned speech about fulfilling Jason’s wishes and urges the people to go the mountain.

Theo talks to CJ about Jason and about the decision to save people. CJ tells them they can wake up some of the sleeping people but then he’d be killing them. Theo tells Carrie that she can go to the mountain. Theo tells her that she is Jason’s mother because they share a rare blood type of course she throws up at the news. Quite Oedipal….

Margaret yells out to her people as Theo walks into his new office to get his gun. Walking out of the room he smashes Pilcher’s picture. The families are being let into the mountain, screened and tested as they go in.

Lucy and Frank are separated and a guard bashes Frank knocking him out. Rebecca and Xander are also separated. Rebecca doesn’t want to leave Xander behind  but he knows she has to go. Xander roams around town as riots break out. He is stunned by the turn of events.

Theo speaks into a recorder telling about how wrong Pilcher was. Making sure if people wake up they will know the truth. He is going to inject himself with Bubonic Plague, Typhoid, and Mar-burg before sacrificing himself to the Abbies to wipe them out.

The people are troubled and want to get in. They kill the guard and bang on the gate. CJ scares them off with gun fire. Lucy and Rebecca are reunited but realize that Xander and Frank will not be joining them. Frank and Xander are talking and Xander shares a little booze with the young lad. They jump in the van as they see a man with a Molotov cocktail. He wants their vehicle but Xander shoots the cocktail causing him to be lit on fire.

Theo arrives at the mountain and gives his secretary a pod. She kisses him as she has clearly loved him since she met him. Theo gets them checked in and they run to see Rebecca and Lucy. Theo is shocked that Rebecca and Xander have chosen each other. Rebecca seems to regret it.

CJ talks to Carrie about how she deserves a fresh start but she doesn’t seem to believe she deserves another one. Standing in the castle is Theo and Rebecca walks in to hug him. Rebecca knows Theo is the only one who can save the town.

Theo goes to inject himself and finds that Carrie has already gone and done the deed. Carrie is going to sacrifice herself because Theo is needed. Theo gives her morphine so when she is killed she won’t have to feel it.

Theo gives another speech about humanity as Carrie walks out to sacrifice herself. Theo hopes to see everyone soon, but only time will tell if he does. The power goes off in town as the power is kept on only for the pods and the fence. A man left behind hangs himself as the pod doors close.

CJ stands alone with his imagination of Eileen. He nearly terminates the process but instead goes into sleep.  Carrie walks outside to commit her final act as the gate closes behind her. The sound of a baby echos through the woods, but this looks like a human baby.

Now we wait, will this show continue for a third season  or will this actually be the final episode? This really is a good end to the series as it is both positive and negative. There are so many possibilities for a continuation. What if Carrie doesn’t wipe out all the Abbies? What will happen to the people when they wake up? All I know is I thoroughly enjoyed this season and hope we find out soon if a third season is coming.

 

 

Wayward Pines SN2 EP9 – ‘Walcott Prep’

This episode begins differently then any other. While it is a flash back involving Pilcher it is also a flashback to the world before. Walcott Prep is a school for girls where Pilcher is looking for people.

Margaret has returned to her people but is close to death. Theo goes to talk to Xander about deposing Jason. Xander believes that is a good idea. CJ appears to take Theo to Jason. Jason wants everyone to go back to sleep until the Abbies leave the area.

Pilcher talks to a young woman about the book Animal Farm. He wants to take her to the future but maybe she isn’t ready yet. As he leaves she tells him her son’s name is Jason.

The Abbies cauterize Margaret’s wound as Jason speaks out to the town. He tells them all about the mass of Abbies outside the fence. That invasion is coming, evacuation must start bringing the people back to the mountain to sleep.

CJ remembers Pilcher talking about Abigail and her son. How she had lost the baby. Pilcher was troubled by this as he didn’t have much time. The people start arriving at the mountain but unbeknownst to them half of the pods are not charged. There are only 571 charged pods.

Jason comes to Theo to ask for help. He needs to know who the best people are to save. He wants to save the First Generation. Rebecca asks to see Jason so she can tell him what she has figured out. Jason is off to make the selections. Jason won’t take anyone who is defective, and is going to leave Carrie behind. Jason sends Rebecca off to say goodbye to the town.

Pilcher goes to a hospital and donates money. He wants to name a child Jason so he can bring him to be the leader. The mother of the new child wants to see Pilcher. It turns out she looks exactly like Carrie..and she is also named Carrie. Pilcher tells her that she can have a different life after learning about her.

Jason looks through files and is looking at Carries’. He finds a secret file and finds that she is actually his mother. He is about to blow his brains out when she walks in. He is troubled by the thought of needing to choose who to save.

Jason freaks out and reaches for his gun. Carrie strikes him and they struggle. Suddenly a gunshot rings out! Jason handpicked Carrie as he had no idea of the truth. He waits for her to wake up so they can begin their lives together. Jason was shot and bleeds out dying next to Carrie who is visibly shaken.The guards send away people as Margaret wakes up healed looking down at a throng  of Abbies.

The final episode of Wayward  Pines’ Second Season is  upon us with “Bedtime Story”.

 

Wayward Pines SN2 EP8 – ‘Pass Judgement’

On the last episode of Wayward Pines, Margaret learned from Theo how to get out of her cage. She slips out and kills of Megan who is her last jailer. She is going to return to her people and they will kill all humans.

Jason talks to his people and tells them all will be fine. Carrie talks to Theo about Margaret. Theo was hoping to build trust between the two sides but Jason’s shooting destroyed it all in 3 flashes of gun powder.

It seems Carrie is unable to have children which means she can’t help Jason. Theo heads to the lab and sees Margaret is gone and Megan is dead. He presses the alarm button to alert everyone.It is clear Margaret aims to take out Jason because of his actions.

The soldiers look for Margaret everywhere on Jason’s command. After seeing what she did to Megan they have to find her. Margaret is outside now, and climbing down a cliff. She jumps off and continues to run. Her agile animal like body is far more robust and she clearly has not suffered.

Theo wants to tell the town now, but Jason doesn’t believe that is best. Carrie is shaken up by the events. Xander goes after Rebecca again because he loves her and because she is pregnant with his child.

Lucy and her brother run to see Rebecca. Margaret remembers the brother as he was the one who found her. She attacks a soldier in town and kills him brutally. Margaret runs along the roofs of the buildings in town after carrying the dead soldier away. She is apparently hit but they don’t find her.

Jason mourns the loss of Megan but is tipped off that Margaret is close by. Xander takes out his guns that he hid and he and Rebecca lead a ragtag group.

Theo and Adam search for Margaret in the woods. Really these two are the best chance for finding her. Rebecca goes to the castle to gather something important from Pilcher’s house. Rebecca can tell the Abbies are going to use an abandoned tunnel. Carrie comes into object to Rebecca’s actions and is put in her place.

Theo stops an  armed standoff after an  accidental shooting. Carrie and Jason head to Jason’s bunker. Jason wants them to be the new Adam and Eve. Carrie finally tells him that she can’t have children.

Rebecca heads outside and is met by Margaret. Margaret senses that she is a mother to be. Xander appears and shoots Margaret in the arm before kissing Rebecca. Adam finds Margaret who was wounded. He doesn’t want to hurt her and lets her escape.Adam follows her into the pipe that she escapes into.  Rebecca leads Jason and Carrie to the pipe and they throw grenades in when they hear Abbies in the distance.

Adam crawls out of the pipe and is met  by a force of Abbies. Margaret pacifies them and he follows her. Theo  is annoyed that Xander gave weapons to civilians especially since Margaret got away and people were hurt.

Margaret is close to death having lost so much blood. What will happen in the next episode? Tune in to episode 9 called “Walcott Prep.”

Wayward Pines SN2 EP7 -‘Time Will Tell’

Wayward Pines’ seventh episode”Time will Tell begins with a recap involving the Abbies. These creatures have figured out fire and are coming for their leader. Will these last remaining humans be able to survive?

This episode starts with the waking of CJ who is played by Djimon Honsou. This man is a specialist. A man trusted by Pilcher and the other citizens. He does what he has to do to keep everyone safe.

CJ is the first to awaken. He carefully strengthens himself and cleans the cases where people are kept. He watches tv showing off what actually happened to our world. He then gets himself ready for his freezing and steps into the booth.

Theo is upset with the teacher for not telling him about the female Abbie. This Abbie is clearly different from all others being the only female. Theo decides to try to teach the Abbie and to find out what she knows.

CJ might be a little crazy from being alone for so long. He talks to dossiers and seems to think them real or wish they were. As the televisions go down he heads outside. CJ meets another lost soul named Griffin who is clean as well or so he says.But CJ sees something is off with him, he is far more beast than man.Griffin chases after CJ and grabs onto him hoping he will save him. CJ can’t do that and snaps the man’s neck.

The female Abbie wants her reward to be given to the males. She has empathy which shows how evolved she is. Theo knows the Abbies are smarter then anyone gives them credit for and hopes that she will help them.

CJ is alone but he talks to his love. He reminisces of Eileen as he plays chess.CJ hates his job and just wants to be with Eileen. Clearly Eileen is gone like all of the rest of humanity that wasn’t saved by Pilcher.CJ questions if what he is doing is right, seeing the world and its inhabitants die before his eyes as they weren’t good enough for Pilcher.

The leader’s brand leads all Abbies to their location. They really may be too late to stop the Abbies.

CJ wakes up for one last day alone. He finally awakens the first group as the Earth is ready for the people. It is time for the construction of Wayward Pines. CJ’s full name is Christopher James and he and Pilcher head out together.Pilcher and CJ see an Abbie. Pilcher is freaked out by the Abbie and says there is work to be done. Pilcher planned for this he just did not think it would happen so soon.

Theo wants to try and negotiate with the Abbies. Jason the stupid leader doesn’t think this is a good idea. The leader of the Abbies is being observed but isn’t she also observing? She can clearly sense the tension in the room as the room splits on the issue of negotiating with Abbies.

CJ is standing in the middle of the building of Wayward Pines. The teacher Megan tries to get him to join the celebration. CJ had two thousand years to get over the loss of humanity, unlike everyone else who will lose it in an instant.

CJ sees his town being destroyed, and is struck with complete sadness. He literally feels that he can do nothing but sit.

Theo talks to the leader about the people.  Trying to glean more from her. Jason just thinks of her as a beast and walks away. Theo begins to unlock the male Abbies cage. The male Abbie attacks and the leader pacifies him. Jason kills the two males and aims to kill the leader. He wants to kill the leader but Theo takes his gun so he goes for Carrie’s gun. Her words pacify Jason for now but Margaret is angered.

Megan thinks the Abbies are not the humans replacement. Theo knows Jason was the only animal in the room. He heads off to the hospital to shower and clear his mind. He takes the gun from the room.

Jason, Carrie and CJ talk about the Abbies. They wonder if they woke up too early. But CJ says why talk about the past? Suddenly Margaret is out of her cage as Theo let her out. She deftly sneaks up on Megan and slits her ankle killing her. She heads off to return to the Abbies.

Attack On Titan Finally Gets A Second Season And Why You Should Watch The First!

Attack on Titan is an amazing anime and fans have been clamoring for a second season. Now our wishes have finally been answered with Season 2 coming Spring 2017.

Attack on Titan tells the story of a young man named Eren and humanity’s struggle against the titans. In a world where humanity is left to only a small portion of life and kept behind 3 walls it is up to the Titan Killers to fend of vicious beasts known as titans.

These terrible creatures want nothing more than to eat the humans and finish off the human race. These beings who can go up 100 feet tall are vicious and terrifying. It isn’t known why they really want to kill off the humans but the story is heading towards that end.

At the end of the first season it was seen that there are actually titans in the wall. What will this do to the civilization. If the creatures you are trying to kill have been hiding in your city how will you be able to get away from them?

All I know is that this anime should be watched by anyone who enjoys giants getting cut to ribbons. It can get a tad gruesome and depressing but it comes with the territory. Also this show can be rather frightening but I think a little fear makes it that much cooler.

Plus just look at this opening, if this doesn’t pump you up for Titan killing nothing will! Stay tuned for the struggle against humanity will be televised next Spring! It is also available right now to watch on Hulu and you can even watch it dubbed as it already aired on Cartoon Network! So go forth and watch the titans get cut down as humanity fights for its survival!

9 Persons, 9 Hours, 9 Doors And Virtue’s Last Reward Are Being Ported!

After the chilling and thrilling conclusion to the Zero Escape Series Zero Time Dilemma it has been announced that its first two chapters are being released on other devices. 999 which previously released on the Nintendo DS and later IOS is presumably being released on Steam.

I would also assume that Virtue’s Last Reward will also be released on Steam as it has already been released on cand Playstation Vita.

This series is really a niche series and if you haven’t played it I highly suggest that you do. The mastery of the writing is by far some of the best I have ever seen. The story revolves around games of deception and murder. The characters all link between the games sometimes reappearing in later games.

These games will alter your thoughts and make you think about them long after you have finished playing them. Not only are they intellectually challenging they are filled with amazing escape rooms.Really the whole series makes you think and I feel like I have grown from playing it.

Now it has not been said when these games will be released but it should be sooner than later. All I know is this series will forever be high on my list as it really tells a story like no other series I will probably ever play.

The Power Puff Girls And The Teen Titans Do Actually Go Well Together

Now, Cartoon Network has brought back two shows that many have been clamoring for. Teen Titans and the Power Puff Girls are two of the best shows in Cartoon Network history. But with these two reboots we lost something magical.

Teen Titans go is far more humorous unlike its first series.The first series was dark and gritty. It had touches of humor but it was real. The Power Puff Girls though childish was also rather gritty. With blood gushing from the villains faces as they were beat up by the girls.

Now in this time of weakness, we have lost Tv Violence. What used to be prevalent in shows such as Tom and Jerry which is also far tamer is affecting everything. I mean really if you teach your children how to behave a little cartoon violence should be fine. Clearly children are smarter than we give them credit for.

Now that these two shows are crossing over I am unsure of what will happen. It looks like a pretty good episode as it seems to organically combine both shows. Both teams are not to fond of the other side but need to team up to save the world.

As they both are youthful groups this makes sense. Plus it is funny seeing three of the Titans dressed up as the girls. I wonder if the Girls will dress up as the Titans.

I honestly do enjoy both shows so seeing them together could really be something. One can only hope that they bring back the Original Teen Titans in a similar crossover type episode.

Wander’s Wanderings Over Yonder Ended And Why You Should Watch It!

Wander of Yonder was a fantastic show on Disney Channel. Ever since many of the greatest animated Disney shows ended Wander has taken their places. It is a shame that this series is over after only two seasons.

Now Wander Over Yonder is the product of the amazing Craig McCracken. This man is the genius behind many of the greatest cartoons of my childhood, the cartoons of Cartoon Network.He worked hard and even created some of the favorite shows of my youth. Working hard on Dexter’s Laboratory and creating both the Power puff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends is no easy feat.

Now sadly his newest show is over. But not without one final amazing episode which is good because so many animated shows aren’t  granted a true finale.  Now this episode really brought together many characters and ended right where it should. I couldn’t have asked for a better finale as I think it showed how amazing these characters are.

With the whole show Wander is all about saving the day. He sees the good in everyone and wants to make the world better. His power of hope saves the day and makes everything right. This resounding message of hope definitely makes this show worth watching especially in our somewhat depressing world.

Now Wander is a nomad who travels the horse with his blue Horse like Alien friend Sylvia. They face down the evil Lord Hater a skeleton with a need to take over the galaxy with his army of short cyclopes.  The second season introduces another villain named Lord Dominator who is hiding something.

There are so many good tropes in this show and the humor is reminiscent of Cartoon Network shows. I’m sure he could have made more episode and it is rather shocking that the show was cancelled.Plus this show has amazing stories and really nice connections between the characters.

If you enjoyed his shows from the past then I am sure you will find something in this show. Plus if you have kids you can introduce them to a creator who has made so many children’s lives with his work. I cannot wait for what McCracken comes up with next.
