Wayward Pines SN2 EP5 – ‘ Sound The Alarm’

Here it is the half way point in this season of Wayward Pines. With a female Abbie found what does this mean for our insane town?

The episode begins with a flashback to a happier time for our hero Theo. A time when he and Rebecca were happy just before heading to Hawaii. When she gets to work she finds the founder of Wayward Pines in her office. He wants her to build Wayward Pines, what a twist! He is already rather insane for this idea, knowing he’d pay all of his money to have this happen.

Flash forward to the female abbie sighting. Seeing this Abbie is a shock when they realize it isn’t male. What are they going to do with this creature?

More Flashback of the past with Rebecca deciding she wants to do the project so she can do something amazing. Theo as usual doubts Pilcher’s intents as he doubts everything in Wayward Pines.

The female Abbie has scar on her hand in the shape of a swirl. She even calms down the other Abbies. I wonder how special these female Abbies are. They clearly are different than their male counterparts.

Theresa has buried Ben and that is one thing a mother shouldn’t have to do.Theresa doesn’t want to return to Wayward Pines after losing Ben.

More Flashback of Rebecca and Pilcher. Pilcher shows off the land where Wayward Pines will be built. One of the original members of Pilcher’s team is the terrible teacher Megan. She is always the worst.

There’s a rather sweetly awkward scene in a procreation room. These two young people forced to mate to keep the human race alive. But of course Frank the spotter of the Female Abbie freaks out and his chosen mate leaves.

Theo calls in Kerry who makes him the leader of the Abbie investigating team after he pushes for it. Theo is disgusted that a hypnotherapist like Megan is leading the investigation.

Pilcher thanks Rebecca for her work in another Flashback.  As she guesses how many years it will take for her town to be built before she is told it will be built in 2000 years. Rebecca is freaking out about this development but she knows she can’t back out now. Theo promises to help her.

Frank talks to Theo about procreation and Theo tells him about the idea of being gay. This idea hasn’t existed in Wayward Pines and Frank wants to cure it. But he does seem willing to accept it if he can have help.

Theo comes home to see Rebecca and Xander together. Another twist has them being married! Theo angered by Rebecca and Xander knocks out Xander and walks out.

Frank and his sister talk about what goes on outside the fence. She says she will protect him.  Quite a nice moment in such a weird town.

Megan talks to the female Abbie. She goes off on this wild woman because she is still reeling from her husband’s death.

Theresa remembers her son’s birth and how he smacked her right off the bat. Theresa wants to die which isn’t so surprising. She lost the two most important people left in her life.

Theo returns home and sees Rebecca asleep on the couch. He says nothing and leaves again. Rebecca has another flashback to when she met Xander after waking up. She is disguisted by her newly formed town.

The Abbies return with fire. They set the crops ablaze. Looks like they are smarter than anyone thought. It looks like they are back and ready to attack.

New Sonic Game Incoming?

Looks like the Sonic Team plans to announce a new game next month. I for one am excited. As it is the 25th anniversary I assume they will bring out the big guns and make this a game really worth buying!

Right now there are two teams working on games. One side works on Sonic Boom which is rather atrocious.

I am hoping this game comes from the other team. Hopefully it will be the long requested Sonic Adventure 3.

Though if they are making a Sonic Movie it could also be a tie in. All I know is we are getting more Sonic the Hedgehog.

If this game is actually Sonic Adventure 3 I will be through the moon with excitement! We will find out on July 22th!

Poison Ivy Has Been Found For Gotham Season 3!

So a while ago it was said that they were looking for a new Poison Ivy for Gotham. Well she has been found.

Maggie Geha who’s past roles include a part in Ted 2 is our new Ivy. After an encounter with a monster our young Ivy is going to transform into this beautiful woman.

She is of course going to set her sights on young Bruce Wayne. Which makes a lot of sense.

She will replace Clare Foley who has done a brilliant job of introducing Ivy to Gotham. While she may not have had the what Ivy needs she was a good actress. She showed this young Ivy who had not really discovered herself and thus when she changes it will mean something.

It has also been reported that Jamie Chung will be taking on the role of Valerie Vale. The Vale name is synonymous with one of the great reporters if Gotham. Yes she is Vicki Vale’s aunt.

I’m even more excited for September 19th and Gotham season 3

Bleach Anime Review And Primer

The anime Bleach created by Tite Kubo has been popular for a long time. Considered to be one of the Big Three manga for years.

This Anime and its manga tell the story of a young man named Ichigo Kurosaki. A seemingly normal kid who can see spirits. Now one fateful evening he takes on powers from a wounded grim reaper-esque character Rukia Kuchki. It is in this moment our story begins.

Now Bleach was one of my first introductions to anime. I remember watching Pokémon and Yu-gi-oh along with many more before but this was different. Something about this screamed this is what you have been training for.

Late nights spent watching Toonami and Bleach would be on. This story is a long one with characters coming in and fading out. Ichigo grows stronger as the story progresses. He learns new abilities and becomes close with shinigami and his friends.

The shinigami are the takers of spirits. They travel to Earth to rid the dead from the planet. If a spirit loses itself it becomes a hollow. This vicious beast wants nothing more than to devour spirits. It is up to the shinigami to slay them.

Ichigo faces multiple foes all with different reasons to attack. The abilities of all the characters are rather awesome. You never know what one character holds inside his soul until fighting begins.

I could certainly go into depth about the characters and the seasons but I’d rather you find out naturally.

The openings are amazing and I can’t help but listen to them over and over. I have watched them so many times that I have memorized a few. It really does get you ready for the show.

People say that this story needs to end and the manga version is working towards it. Once that is done which could be soon, they may even make more episodes.

Now if you are a first time Anime watcher I suggest you watch maybe the first season. With 366 episodes you don’t want to commit unless it really makes sense too.

All I know is, I enjoy Bleach. I like the characters and the story. I enjoy reading this basically every week. I know that when he reaches his end point it will be something great. I mean if this story has been able to make me cry when I thought it was over that is saying something.

I hope you will give this a shot as it really is great.  I’ll leave you with Ichigo’s Theme. If this gets you pumped up watch the first episode.

As this is older you can find the whole series dubbed in English or Subbed. I actually watched both versions in full but you don’t have too. It’s available on many platforms including Crunchyroll and Hulu.

Persona 5 And It’s Thieves Will Steal Your Hearts Soon Enough

The Persona series is known for its humorous characters and deep plot. These RPG’S are some of the best out there. The last main release was Persona 4 in 2011 for the PS2.

Now the characters in Persona 4 did continue to show up in other Persona games during this time but now they fall back. A new set of heroes is going to steal the spotlight.

In Persona 5 which comes out September 15th in Japan and Valentine’s day in the US is coming. Fans of the series will be excited to see more of this game.

I know personally that from what I have seen I am fully ready for it. I cannot wait to see these characters and their stories unfolding before my eyes.

A young boy aka the Protagonist moves to a new city. Making friends he creates a plot to become thieves. Soon he is thrust into a particular prison and met by its long nosed warden. But this place isn’t what it seems.

This game is far more advanced then it’s predecessors of course. The characters need to act stealthy as they are thieves. They travel the world and do crazy things even go to space.

Now Persona games are not only about crazy things and monster fighting. Not to mention in this game you can actually convince your foes to join you. These games are about life.

In these games for the uniformed you live a year in the Protagonist’s shoes. You fall in love, go shopping, do schoolwork and hang with friends. Doing these things might sound weird but it is to make your connections stronger.

This game is about connecting with people and that is its base. By the time you finished the story these characters should steal your heart. But we have some time till that happens.

I just can’t wait for this game, it really does look superb.

Miss Peregrine Flies Into Theaters September 30th

I love Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. This book and it’s two sequels is incredible. Written by the fantastic Random Riggs with actual old photographs throughout it really is something to behold.

A story about a young boy discovering his powers in a time loop a long with new friends is enchanting. Plus it has the historical element which just makes it that much better.

Now that Tim Burton is directing it, I am sure it will be just wonderful. This second trailer is amazing. Yes it does have its differences from the book but that is okay. It’s all been done after talks with Riggs.

With a stellar cast of the lovely Eva Greene to Samuel L Jackson as the Wight and even young talent Asa Butterfield as Jacob Portman this is sure to be a great flick.

Miss Peregrine and her peculiar children swoop into theaters on September 30th 2016.

‘Anime 101’ For Beginners

Anime or Japanese Animation is something that has been a part of my life since I first watched Pokémon in 1998.

Ever since then I have learned about an watched so much Anime. Now Anime is a lot broader then American cartoons.

While most American Cartoons are just humorous Anime tends to be everything. There are so many types of Anime it is astounding.

When I started I watched and read mostly Shonen Anime and Manga or Animes source material. These are the traditional hero saves the day type of manga. A hero gains a power or is working on attaining it and is thrust into a new world ripe with possibilities because of it.

Now many Anime fit this bill such as the comical yet vast One Piece a pirate adventure and the story of a bald superhero who can take out a foe with one hand in One Punch Man.

There are of course other types of Anime including Historical, Comedy, Drama, Horror, and many more. There are even stories about life and those often can be just as amazing even though the characters dont have amazing powers.

Other top shows include Bleach, Naruto, Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, Gundam, Hunter x Hunter and Full Metal Alchemist.

I have enjoyed stories about cooks, students, and even train conductors. It really is about finding series that peak your interest. You never know you may start watching a show about a young Pianist and be crying by the time it’s done.

All I know is that without Anime and Manga I wouldn’t be who I am today. It has honestly made me see the world differently and appreciate far more about this blue marble than I did before.

Now this is literally just scratching the surface. In future articles I hope to delve into a few of my favorite Anime as well sharing some of the best and brightest new shows!

The Final Escape Is Nigh With The Final Entry In The Escape Series With Zero Time Dilemma

The Zero Escape series by Kotaro Uchikoshi is a series that has become quite the niche game since its inception. First appearing on the Nintendo DS with 9 Person, 9 Hours, 9 Doors this series is all about a game. A game of life or death.

Every decision you come across can change how the story plays out. Multiple endings and characters who tend to be deep and fluid lend to the games success.

Cannot stress enough that these games are mysteries and I don’t want to spoil them at all. If you enjoy reading you will love these games as they are visual novels with an intense brain game to boot.

The first game 999 takes place on a sinking ship reminiscent of the Titanic. 9 people have 9 hours to get through 9 doors. But why are they there? Someone has gone out of their way to round up this batch of people and it’s up to them to figure it out while they try to escape with their lives.

The sequel to 999 is Virtue’s Last Reward. Another brilliant addition to the series that added amazing voice acting. A new batch of characters with some returning in new ways from 999 are trapped in a building. Again it is time to figure out why you are here. Escape rooms return from 999 and you must solve puzzles to escape.

Now how will you fair trapped in a warehouse. Will you ally with these strangers or betray them?

The last entry in the series is going to be Zero Time Dilemma. It will be a similar yet different beast. 9 people trapped by a mad man forced to decide the fate of themselves and maybe even the world.

Your decisions truly count and I cannot wait to decide. I have heard that this game will be far more visceral and will even make you question your self. Honestly I questioned myself playing the other games and it is quite the experience.

When a game makes you think then you know you have come across something special.

Can’t wait for Zero Time Dilemma the final entry in the series which comes out on September 28th on the 3DS, PSVita, and even Steam.

Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D Released A Little Over 5 Years Ago!

The Legend of Zelda is a seminal classic and a game that many love. This game has stood the test of time and been playable on almost every Nintendo System since its inception. This game is something that is loved because of how inventive it was for its time.

In 1998 when this game was first released the N64 was new and so was 3D gaming. As a young boy, I had my fun with playing games like Mario and soon was introduced to Zelda. It was a match made in heaven. Journeying through Hyrule as this young boy was amazing especially since he was designed to literally be a little older than me.

Now, they did release this game on the game cube but it was just a port. When the 3DS came out in 2011 they knew that this game was something worth re-releasing. Below is a comparison between the two and it is clear how different they really are.

I remember playing this as it was my freshman year of college. I was finally out of the house and finally able to explore the world. What better way to explore the world than with one of the first games I ever played. This game holds up because it is so good.

Now some may argue that it is too linear or something like that. But looking at lists of top Zelda games, this one always shows up high on the list. Even with the so called nostalgia glasses fans play this game often in yearly streams for charity. It is clear that even though almost 20 years have passed since its creation, this game will be in the hearts of the people who played it forever.

The dungeons may not be as big as the dungeons in the games today but they are a blast. Seeing this old game in higher definition and in 3d really made me happy. I  had already beaten the game before and had a pretty rad dream because of it when I was younger but I needed to play it again.

As it was re released for 3DS I am sure one day we will see it on another new system. I’d certainly like to explore this iteration of Hyrule in Virtual Reality some day. All I know is that saving the world as this version of Link is something that I will always treasure.

Time To Build Contraptions In Fallout 4

Within the next 24 hours, he first batch of the Summer Fallout 4 DLC will release.

This DLC looks like it will be a lot of fun. Especially for builders. Now I am trying to get into building because I keep making characters stupid and thus am stuck. But I have made a far more intelligent character for this new DLC.

I am excited to see what kind of contraptions people make. Of course the standard ball and ramo contraption could make for some fun. We shall see when this DLC hits.

Of course contraptions aren’t the only thing involved in this DLC. Many cosmetic changes like new posters and things to spice up the settlement are included.

There are weapon and armor racks. Even ammo producing machines which could change the game for players on harder modes where everything is far scarcer. Plus a good Pillory is included, a good place to lock up a character that gives out endless missions, perhaps. I’m looking at you Preston.

We won’t have long to wait as the DLC should start rolling out rather quickly. I plan on investing sometime to make something cool. See you in the wasteland my friends.
