Pokemon Sun And Moon, Shines Like The Sun And Glows Like The Moon at E3

index

Day one of E3 for Nintendo and they brought out the big guns, Zelda and Pokemon. Of course Zelda is taking 95% of the day but that is okay. We got a bunch of new information from Pokemon and that is exciting in and of itself.

I have been a fan of Pokemon now since I was 6 in 1998. It is such a fantastic series and it has only gotten more vibrant and wonderful as time has passed.

So at first it seemed like they weren’t going to show much but after showing the trailer we have seen before, they jumped into game play.

I really enjoy E3 because they play games for the viewer, these hardened Big N employees are always playing these games. I love getting their fresh thoughts alongside the developers because it is so natural.

Seeing this game in a video certainly isn’t as magical as when you really play it but it is something to hold the players over. Seeing the sheer joy on their faces as they come across Pokemon, and how even though they have been playing the game it is still just as fun. I know it may be overdone for the viewers but it is nice.

Now, this short event showed off three new Pokemon and the first big battle between the Rival and the player character.

I really enjoyed seeing the new Pokemon as I always do.

There is Pikipek the sweet little woodpecker. He is a Normal/Flying Type.

Yungoos the terrifying yet adorable mongoose. This little creature is the standard normal type in the game.

Lastly a Pokemon not really shown was Grubbin this generation’s initial bug type.

The first battle between the rival and the player is a battle of stage. A ceremonial battle that connects to the wonderful ideas of Hawaiian Folklore. I love that they really are going all out to show off the beauty that Hawaii and that they really are taking everything to the next level. It really is a trip to Hawaii and even though it may be just like other Pokemon games in a lot of ways, it is clearly going to show off how Hawaii is even if it is just nice things like this.

It was also shown that there will be a Battle Royal. Four players enter with up to three Pokemon. The first to lose all there Pokemon ends the Royal. It is a nice change up to the normal battle system.

I am super excited for November 18th of this year, and my chance to jump into the Alola Region with Generation 7 and Sun&Moon. Tweet me at @Starkwyvrngamer with any thoughts on this game.

Legend of Zelda : Breath Of The Wild Is A Breath Of Fresh Air

indexFor a while now, we have all known Nintendo is going to mostly show off the upcoming Legend of Zelda game at E3. I have been waiting for this game since I finished Skyward Sword. This game has been pushed back twice and now it is finally going to be released next year.

Opening up their day’s activities with a new trailer, I was blown away by its majesty. Yes, it was released hours ago, but honestly I had to collect myself. I’m writing up an account of the rest of the days events, because a whole days worth of news needs a little parsing.

Now this game will be an open world Zelda experience, a seamless adventure unlike any Zelda game before it. I for one am psyched to see this world fully, as the tease of today is just a tease, a drip from a seemingly infinite fountain.

Just watching this trailer all of my hype is back to boiling. I was stunned to see what they came up with. Far more survival type game play and as much as it really different that difference really just ups my excitement. Really is a breath of fresh air.

I can’t wait to see more and with 2 more days of E3 I am sure I will see a good deal more of the game.

The other cool thing has to be the Amiibo which really do look incredible. I really do love seeing this expanding line of figures and how anything can make for a figure.

Below is the trailer, which I’m sure I will watch many times because it is just that good. Feel free to tweet me at @Starkwyvrngamer with your thoughts.

Blown Away By The Playstation Experience

th

Playstation is a company that is synonymous with amazing. They have always created such amazing games that people can’t help but want to play. I’ve always been a Nintendo gamer but I enjoy Playstation games especially over its rival Xbox. They always manage to put on a show, and show off things we could never imagine. Moments in time that show dreams do come true.

Now this amazing experience was just a never ending explosion of amazing new content. Honestly haven’t digested what I saw, but I know I was astounded and games  I hadn’t even thought about buying are now on my radar. It was just a stream of awesome games, accompanied by a live orchestra really put it all over the top.

Sony got the ball rolling with an amazing new God of War game involving Kratos and his son hunting. Now this “Dad of War” really wants to help his son to become a man. Does this mean our hero is going to bite the dust? Far different from any of its predecessors, this game looks stunning.

The Last Guardian is a game that people have been dying to see for a long time now. Now that they finally have a release date set for October 25th of this year their prayers are answered. I’m still honestly a little unclear about the game but it really does look like a masterpiece.

Sam Witwer in Days Gone looks to be another apocalyptic game. A good survival story of a man and his bike. I love seeing how technology is always changing in leaps and bounds, becoming even more real with every generation, even by year. It is such an action packed game, I honestly felt like I was or had experienced what was going on before my eyes.

Horizon Zero Dawn, has it all, robot animals, a prehistoric setting, and a foxy Red headed heroine. I honestly had only heard its name but had never seen anything. All I can say is I honestly need this game. It looks to be a brilliant experience, a visceral gritty,  animalistic expedition. Can’t  wait to see more now.

There was also Detroit Become Human, which looks to be a choose your own story game involving androids. The trailer is all about a young girl getting kidnapped and it is up to an Android to save her. What you do and how you do it will lead the story, and that is something I can always get behind.

Virtual reality is here and it is glorious. It has been a long time coming for Virtual Reality and with 50 games at launch Playstation is working with magic. From Resident Evil to Final Fantasy, everyone should find something they will want to play.

My favorite Virtual reality game is certainly Rocksteady’s Arkham  game. Hearing Mark Hamill’s amazing Joker voice sent chills up my spine. He constantly flirts with the idea of never voicing the Clown Prince of Crime, but it is clear that once the Joker is in your head, he is there to stay. Now hopefully this is even more of a definitive Batman experience as the player literally dons the cowl of the Bat.

I love how a trailer that literally just showed off the Batsuit with the Joker’s voice flowing through it, made me want to play the game. This shows that Rocksteady really knows what it’s doing which is no surprise as the trilogy was spectacular.

Crash is back! This line is basically the start of its own article as this amazing bandicoot has been gone for awhile. Seeing him in Skylanders Imaginators is a little weird because he doesn’t really look like he used to. Excited that they are remastering the original trilogy, and bringing an amazing series back into the limelight. Crash certainly deserves all the love he can get as the major fans of the game are old enough to have kids who are ready to play this iconic series.

Skylander’s Imaginators looks to be a fantastic game. The fact that you can create your own heroes is outstanding. I wonder what kind of characters people are actually going to make.

Insomniac’s Spiderman game looks to be as amazing as Rocksteady’s Arkham series. A game where you really are Spiderman, webbing your  way around New York City. Seeing Spiderman fly through the city knocking out criminals is by far one of the most exciting things I’ve seen in a game. Spiderman definitely is deserving of a game like this!

Lego Starwars the Force Awakens is another comical entry into a wonderful series of games. While retaining the story the team has some fun with it at the characters expense. I honestly find these games refreshing as they can be so easy. Easy and just simply enjoyable games can sometimes be far and between. This certainly looks to be a fun one.

Norman Reedus, a favorite of many, finally in a Kojima game. Now he was teased to be in a new Silent Hill but that was done away with when Kojima  parted ways with his former studio. Now that Kojima has started his new studio this looks to be a new chapter. Death Stranding, stars Norman Reedus in a game that looks to be about the afterlife.

I was a little unnerved by the trailer, scratch that, I was very unnerved by the trailer. A naked Reedus with a baby in his arms that slowly vanishes and oily hand prints appear on his skin. Who else but Kojima would be able to elicit such a reaction from a person, not many.

Last but certainly not least was a sizzle reel of all the games and more to come for Sony. I know I saw a few things, a long nosed man by the name of Igor made a brief appearance, along with so many flashes of cool stuff. Can’t wait to learn and see more of these games, including Persona 5 which will be shown off soon enough.

All in all, Playstation is well on there way to winning E3. Though there have been a lot of other good attempts so far with such amazing games being shown. Nintendo is up tomorrow, and I hope they blast away most of the competition. But clearly in my humble opinion Playstation will be hard to beat.

What did you think of Sony’s E3 Experience? Feel free to tweet me your thoughts @Starkwyrvngamer.

This article will be updated as I look for the trailers.

Lego Dimensions adds a slew of characters

th

Lego Dimensions has been out for awhile and already has characters from Lord of the Rings, DC Superheros, The Simpsons and many more.

New characters have been announced in a trailer you can watch below. From Finn and Jake of Adventure Time, to the Goonies and Gizmo, even the blue blue Sonic the Hedgehog is making an appearance.

Fans of the game are in for a wait for these new toys to life characters but a wait is always good. I think these characters will really expand this game and introduce a new generation to characters so many people have enjoyed for years.

The fun begins on September 27th with the new Ghostbusters movie pack and the rest will roll out until summer of 2017.

I do enjoy the fact that this new set of packs and characters are mostly from the 80’s and 90’s as it really will expand the young players horizons in terms of what they recognize which is never a bad thing.

Here is the link to the trailer below. I really enjoyed seeing them meld the universe’s together and the end is definitely my favorite part!

Who Lives In A Pineapple, On The Stage, Sponge Bob Squarepants!

static.playbill.com

A SpongeBob musical has been announced recently starring an up and coming actor named Ethan Slater. Ethan is going to play SpongeBob in what looks to be a humanized version of SpongeBob.

The cast looks pretty good for a show about a television show about anthropomorphized sea creatures.  As I stated before Ethan Slater plays SpongeBob, Lilli Cooper plays Sandy, Danny Skinner plays Patrick Star, and Gavin Lee plays Squidward. Along with Carlos Lopez as Mr.Krabs and Nick Blaemire as Plankton.

I am curious to see how they look fully, as these photos cut off the whole look. It looks like it will be a fantastic show based on what they have said so far. As usual it involves wacky antics and crazy characters doing what they do best with SpongeBob coming in to save the day as he usually does.

The music for the show is going to be incredible as it has the some of the greatest singers writing and performing for it. From Steven Tyler, to Cyndi Lauper, and even the late great David Bowie. Having these powerhouses creating music like they would for this show should bring it over the top.

This show will go up for the 2016-2017 season, hopefully it does well because shows based on animation are often just the worst. At least it doesn’t have any aerial acrobatics like the Spiderman musical…

Here’s hoping this musical doesn’t disappoint. I’m excited to see  how it is received and hope they don’t mangle a series that has literally been around for 17 years with one stage show. Though SpongeBob may not be number one any more, it deserves respect as this sponge is this generation’s Bugs Bunny.

Wayward Pines SN2 EP3 – ‘Once Upon A Time In Wayward Pines’

waywardpines

The episode begins with a brief recap of the series showing all that has happened. Then a fairy tale like story begins, hence the Once Upon a Time in the title. The fairy tale is about the villain I love to hate Jason  the dictator of Wayward Pines.

Theo does not believe that the Abbies are gone after his assistant tells him. Two days without Abbies and Jason is assured by himself that they are gone for good. Such a foolish man-child. Carrie warns if Ben is dead and I hope he is not, that Jason killed him.

Theo won’t stop asking questions even if it kills him. At Jason and Carrie’s house, Nurse Pam a villain from Season one reappears after being presumed dead. Jason the first born son of Wayward Pines grows as the town begins too. I love how they brought Djimon Honsou into this flashback showing that he has been in the universe a lot longer, legitimizing his character as a strong force.

Pam always the manipulator tries to guide Jason again. He’s a son to her and she will make him need her once again, even though he can’t stand that he killed Pilcher. He parades her in front of the citizens and tells them that he forgives her and they will all move forward with her.

Pam talks to Theo about his wife and practicing medicine in Wayward. She sends him off saying that she needs to tidy up and  takes a syringe. What is Pam going to do with this Syringe?

Jason continues to grow, but as he does the world shrinks because of the vicious fence. The teacher of Wayward Pines talks to Jason about Pam and her brother the first Dictator. She convinces him to return to his party saying that they will always be behind him.

In class, the teacher is pairing people for the future. Some of the children haven’t waited and are already pregnant or working towards it like she want them too. Pam walks back into the compound and it shows Pilcher’s murder once again. I’m curious to see what her goal is in coming back so strongly. The teacher rolls in as Pam is stealing bio-hazardous materials from the lab. Clearly these two women are at odds with each other and always have been.

Theo talks to Rebecca again and asks why she isn’t wearing her ring, she states she didn’t get it. Pam heads back to her house and sees fresh kids running away after spray-painting Murderer on it. Pam shoves the syringe into the bottle and is about to use it when Theo walks in to talk she is thoroughly shaken by his appearance. Theo questions her about her brother and why she did what she did. He asks why he wasn’t the only reason they were there. He certainly does ask the tough questions, but can she answer them? She sends him off with nothing because she is clearly hiding something.

As soon as he is gone she shoves the needle in her arm like a junky. Apparently it contains Fairiola Major.

In a meeting with Jason, CJ, and Carrie Pam walks in and kisses Jason on the lips. Theo walks in and tells them to stay where they are except for Pam. Looks like her endgame isn’t savory in the slightest. Fairiola Major turns out to be Small Pox and Pam wants to kill everyone with it.

She says that they have lost sight of what they first wanted. She wants Jason to lead his people to peace and now he has to kill her. The fairy tale continues with Jason coming after Pam killed Pilcher. He killed all of the rebels of season one in front of them, a vicious move in a small community. Pam hates what Jason is, as there is no humanity in murder as she says.

I enjoy seeing Pam in her final moments as sick as it sounds, she is just as tyrannical and evil as her brother. She gives Jason an ultimatum when he comes to see her in her chamber, to kill her or let her die. Jason calls Theo a hero which surprises me because Jason clearly doesn’t give out compliments often.

Jason never heard the end to his own fairy tale but it was all a lie anyway. She tells him that he will never take the out lands from the Abbies. He chokes her to death in a moment that will haunt him forever I’m sure. She was his mom and having him kill her actually makes him a more realized character. Of course right after he talks to send out the first group beyond the wall, reminds me a little of Attack on Titan.

Theo wants to find his watch because it was the only gift his father ever gave him. He shares his first beer and then continues to do at 5:30 for years until he is taken for the Wayward trip. He is saddened by the thought of his father continuing to go to the bar for their weekly beer but never seeing him again. This is such a visceral and real moment, a moment where you see Theo as a real person and that is a good thing.

Of course Pam’s body is burned in a pyre so her toxic soul is burned to ash. CJ watches sad as the classical music twists.

This episode included many amazing scenes and a lot of good character development. Pam’s resurgence brought out Jason’s will to take over everything and we learned about these character’s past. Now, fueled by her words Jason is going to really heat things up in the pines, and it will be up to the rebels and Theo to take him down when he finally loses it like his parents.

It will be exciting to see the next episode, “Exit Strategy,” next Wednesday!

Rick And Morty SN1 EP2 – ‘Lawnmower Dog’

22881

Rick and Morty’s official first episode is Lawnmower Dog. Now Lawnmower Dog begins with Rick outfitting Morty’s stupid dog with an intelligence helmet. This helmet obviously comes into play later on.

Snuffles plays off Jerry, making Jerry seem smarter in the opening to show off the real change coming.  Jerry pleads for Rick to help out the family, and shows off another layer for this dimwitted dad. One of the only moments where he really does something.

Again I love how Rick despises school. He loves to talk down school and by saying homework is just done to get less out of the kids does make perfect sense.

The meat of this episode revolves around Morty and Rick traveling through his math teacher’s brain in order to get him an A. What happens is a terrible journey through the dreams of different people begins.

His math teacher’s dream is all about him and Mrs.Pancake flirting, before Rick and Morty come in and “9/11” it. Now Mrs.Pancakes dream is twisted, a terribly raunchy dream where Summer even wants Morty, another layer from Morty’s teacher. After jumping into a centaur’s dream, they fall into a nightmare involving Scary Terry.

Slowly but surely Snuffles begins to talk and do. Snuffles is a fantastic character because he just wants to be the best he can be especially after seeing a wolf documentary.

The obligatory 80’s-esque slasher movie reference of Scary Terry is phenomenal.

“Where are my Testicles Summer?” Like another horror movie line.Snuffles appears before Summer’s bed.  He goes on to talk to her, about how terribly dogs are treated. Now, the dogs are in control.

The show then goes on to obliterate the writing of those old horror movies. Having them hide instead of run stops Terry from really being able to do anything.

“You think you can control me with a haircut?” Jerry is so stupid, he doesn’t realize Snowball is threatening to neuter him.

They then jump into Terry’s dream and give hm pants stopping his nightmare of being pants less in school. With Terry’s help they blast through the dreams waking everyone up. With Terry’s help the teacher vows to give Morty an A.

In the end of it all Snuffles, saves Morty and decides it’d be best for his kind to leave Earth behind for a place that has mandatory pet insurance. Which is rather hilarious because the pets basically become human once they leave their humans.

They now have to stop the dogs so Jerry decides to run in and pee on everything to claim it all. But of course his face is rubbed in urine. Classic Jerry trying so hard in order to fail. As the dogs rule, Morty is given top spot, but Rick busts in to say it is just a dream.

Seeing Morty dying before him Snuffles wakes up and vows to create a dog world, where pet insurance is mandatory. The episode ends with Morty and Rick talking about how they’d definitely watch a show about a dog driven universe.

This episode is rife with amazing cultural references, from Inception to Scary Terry’s swords for hands. Terry’s gratuitous use of Bitch makes the episode that much better as it should be the line he uses when he finishes a foe. All in all a great episode of Rick and Morty

Wayward Pines SN2 EP2 – ‘Blood Harvest’

waywardpines

The episode begins with a brief recap of last week’s episode. Theo has decided against being a pawn and been sent out in a truck with Ben in the back.

A video plays over the whole town, showing Pilcher, the creator of Wayward Pines. The camera cuts to the Abbies attempting to climb over the fence. Quite the freaky moment to have these monsters wanting to get inside. Rebecca is stopped by guards as they know she is Theo’s wife.

Outside Ben and Theo break free from the truck to run from the horrific Abbies, who appear to be almost in the fence. One of Ben’s men is taken, presumably killed. As much as I hate the Hitler-esque youth, they do know how to take down the vicious creatures. It’s quite entertaining watching them die.

Carrie the leader’s assistant is hurt in the process. I do hope she doesn’t die this early, she seems like an interesting character. Theo is taken back to town because he is the only doctor. He is smart, won’t do a thing until he gets his answers. He is told his answers but flips out thinking it can’t be true.

He does save her and there is a cuteish scene between Carrie and Jason. Theo and Rebecca go back to their home and he is told about the food troubles. Theo of course doesn’t believe anything, and wants to fight it all. Rebecca has been in town for three years!

Our first scene with Djimon Honsou’s character starts and revolves around them trying to get food. CJ as he is called is a brilliant character, someone who doesn’t trust anyone. Theo and Rebecca talk about the past and she kisses him calming him as he is asked for help.

It is clear that he will have a lot to do in this town being the only true doctor. But his lack of trust will make him a liability in their eyes. He is granted an assistant, another character from the past who was against Jason’s group and now needs “tune ups”. A rather creepy idea, seeing as she needs to go under to have them administered.

Rebecca goes into work and Shannon Sossamon’s character Theresa walks in to talk about Ben. But Theo is hardly ready to believe that any of this can be real.  In class the students see an Abbie cadaver, quite freaky to look at.

Theo is then working on a young patient. He hopes he’ll be able to eat more. He is furious that he can’t get the boy a vitamin. Jason comes to him and he rebuffs him saying he is only helping because of his oath. He despises Jason, because he is a tyrannical overlord, he has him in his clutches because Theo is the only one who can do anything medically.

Carrie and Jason talk about Theo and how it is necessary for him to live so he can heal. Jason cries in a weak attempt to look like a character worth caring at all about. But it is clear he loves Carrie so points for that.

Theo is paranoid about everything including his wife. He has no idea what to think about anything. CJ leads his team to gather the food and fight off Abbies. Djimon adds a layer of decorum to the character of CJ.Using fire they fend off the Abbies, and head in to gather food. The tenseness of the scene is amazing, there is an ever present sense of danger, one wrong move in defense and the food burns. Ben appears and runs after the trucks not wanting to die obviously. It definitely isn’t the last we will see of Ben.

Ben apologizes to his mother, and then goes on to assault Jason and his leadership as he is going against the creator Pilcher’s wishes. This moment is beautiful because it shows how strong Ben is and how weak Jason really is. If he loses power he will literally be nothing, and he is terrified that, this is a distinct possibility.

Theresa goes to talk to Jason’s men and ask them about Ben. They throw her out when she explodes like a mother should. But, they decide they’d best go help Ben without talking to the tyrant. The gears of rebellion are slowly beginning to turn.

Another scene between Jason and Carrie with Carrie questioning Jason about Ben and what should be done. But he calms her and tells her she is his. He really is Tyrannical on every level.

As Theresa yells for answers about Ben, Ben is brutally attacked by three Abbies in the cornfield.

The episode ends with Jason and Carrie discovering the Abbies are gone from sight. But one lone Abbie glares at the fence as the episode ends.

Another intense episode filled with character development and action. The introduction of Djimon Honsou is a welcome character in this universe. All in all a solid episode. Can’t wait for next week’s “Once Upon a Time in Wayward Pines,” episode.

Rick And Morty SN1 EP1 – ‘Pilot’

22881Rick and Morty, two of greatest cartoon characters in a good long while. The awkward stumbling Morty and the genius psychopath Rick. Ever since the premiere episode fans have enjoyed 2 seasons of space traveling insanity.

The Pilot episode introduces us to our main characters Rick and Morty. Morty being the grandson and Rick being the grandfather. After Rick’s miraculous return, Morty instantly gloms onto the idea of traveling and spending time with Rick. I mean who wouldn’t want to do crazy things in space with a mad man?

The funny thing about this show is that it doesn’t really follow any rules of television. It does it’s own thing and the comedy falls out from that. Rick drunkenly wakes up dear Morty from his sleep, and says he’ll blow everything up and start fresh. Morty awkwardly worries why he’d do this but seems to accept it. This opening scene shows off the relationship between the two without ever explicitly saying what it is.

Though the bomb is never brought up again throughout the whole episode. You are also introduced to Jerry Morty’s stupid father, Beth, Jerry’s nice mom, and Summer his elder sister. They are troubled by Rick taking Morty out of school.

Rick’s thoughts about school are pretty hilarious. Especially since as soon as Morty goes to school Rick’s thoughts are true. Morty then has a dream about his crush Jessica but is actually interacting with his teacher.  It is rather creepy that his teacher is a little to into this, as he lets Morty do it for another five minutes.

Rick charges in and takes Morty out of school in his normal manner, and bullies him into coming with him. He can’t help but just do all he can to get his own way. But he is also deep, which he really isn’t in other episodes. Far funnier for him to just be a terrible person.

Morty ends up breaking his legs, when Rick doesn’t tell him to turn on his gravity boots. Rick travels into the future and grabs a special serum to heal his grandson. Hilariously saying that in this future there are no old people so he was able to have tons of fun with young women. I guess everyone has somewhere they could belong.

Morty hasn’t been staying in school because of Rick and is in trouble with his principal. Pushing the mega seeds up inside of his butt they try to travel home. This show loves to undermine its characters, as soon as the seeds are up butt he is chosen for a special check. Of course acting like an idiot and running is in fact the right thing to do.

An epic chase scene occurs, as they run through the spaceport.Quite the episode highlight, in my humble opinion. I enjoy seeing Morty learning and growing since he is so stupid. It is rather humorous that he actually might learn some real things with this crazy drunk.

Landing back at school Morty gains the favor of Jessica. As they try to move Rick out, Morty ingests the mega seed showing off an intense intelligence. In the final moment he spasms uncontrollably as the mega seed loses its power.

His parents still annoyed decide to let Rick stay even though they were right all along. Rick then goes on a semi fourth wall break, as he knows full well that he is in a Television show. The wit of this makes him seem far more real, he acts like he has control but he knows full well all his whims are at the bidding of some outside force. He doesn’t believe in God, but he believes in this force, and it is clear by his final outburst.

All in all this is a good first episode.  A brief introduction to a strange family.  I did enjoy seeing these characters two very different characters try to work things out and get out of trouble. Though seeing that this is the pilot, the characters are definitely not as great as they are in the real first episode. I will endeavor to finish reviewing the series in a lead up to its fantastic return later this year.

Gotham SN2 Finale – ‘Transference’

gotham

Gotham’s series two finale is something to be applauded. Hands down one of my favorite season finales in recent years.

This finale opens with a recap of the last episode leading to Professor Strange making Clayface become Gordon. Gordon the stalwart hero never would help the villains, but Hugo is going to get all he can.

It then returns to Hugo and Gordon, Hugo has injected our hero with “Honesty serum”. He asks him all that he knows, and about his ex paramour Lee, who I honestly hope he is done with for good. Finding out he doesn’t know all that he wants he tells him he has only hours to live. He also references “The Court” who can be none other than the Court of Owls.

Nygma has Bruce and Lucius trapped in a room, a room ready to be flooded with poison if they don’t answer his question. “He asks who runs Wayne Enterprises.?” They try as hard as they can and end up answering the board of directors. Yowzah, that is the wrong answer. As poison floods the room, Bruce’s life flashes before his eyes and suddenly he wakes up with Lucius in the room where Gordon is.

I love Clayface Gordon, he is trying to be the real Gordon but its rather suspect. But Harvey seems a little slow, as saying you have the flu wouldn’t really change a person that much. CFG clearly only knows a rudimentary amount of information about our hero and is trying his best, but he will need some work to become the great villain he will one day be.

One of my favorite parts of the episode would be a small scene where Penguin is decorating his home with Barbara and Butch. He is trying to find a place to put his trophy, the head of his father’s Black widow. He can’t help but listen to Barbara as she really knows what she is talking about.

As usual, my least favorite part of the episode revolves around Fish Mooney. The fact that she has repeated the line, “I’m Fish Mooney, Bitch” repulses me. Her new special power of controlling people is rather weak. She takes over Strange’s weakly normal sidekick Ethel Peabody. Then she has Peabody chase Strange as he runs to press the destruction button, readying the end of Indian Hill. BD Wong has really proved to be the best choice for the role of Strange.

Bruce encounters Selina again and she tells him she has had him wrapped her around her finger the whole time. Though she does later let him out along with Lucius and Gordon. Strange running from Fish’s controlled sidekick Peabody runs to set the bomb after knocking her out with his briefcase.

Barbara, one of my favorite characters on the show, finds out that the Clayface Gordon is a fake when he comes onto her and disparages Lee. She smacks him and his face moves, causing them all to realize something strange is going on.

Back in the Prison, Strange talks to Selina, Firefly and Mr.Freeze. Selina tries to fight for her friends, and Strange orders Mr.Freeze to kill her. Firefly standing up for her friend, gets upset. A duel between the two begins. Seeing Gordon Strange perks up and tries to get away.

Strange runs from the Heroes who were able to escape from the cage, runs between two opposing forces. In a fight between Mr.Freeze and Firefly, the beams cross and Strange  is frost burned. Gordon saves him and he is later arrested, though he is freaking out over the villains who will have been let go and that he is in a load of trouble.

With the use of Nygma, since Strange is out of comission for the moment, they dump water on the bomb and it is safely deactivated. Though without a thirsty Mrs.Peabody they wouldn’t have though to do this.

Fish Mooney who has escaped, le sigh, drives a bus down a road. Gordon tells Bullock what is going on and they chase the bus. Fish is then attacked by The Penguin and his allies who include his old right hand man Butch. In another brilliant move they blast the bus with bullets causing it to crash.

Gordon leaves Gotham to search for Lee. Bruce tells Alfred he has more to do in solving the mystery. Bullock is told by Gordon to take true command and cut his hair since he is the chief.

.As Penguin goes to confront Strange who he thinks is driving the bus. Fish Mooney walks out and taps him on the shoulder.  In a stunning moment he turns and is shocked before she touches his face and knocks him out. His allies run leaving him for dead in the street.

The episode ends with the an old woman pushing a shopping cart close to the bus filled with Strange’s monsters. There are a cacophony of noises playing in the background, but one laugh pierces the bubble, the laugh of none other then Jerome our proto Joker. As the monsters pour out of the bus, the last shot is of a Bruce Wayne Clone thanking the woman for letting them out.

Can’t wait until the Fall for Gotham Season 3. Wonder what these monsters will be.
