We Bare Bears S2 E20 ‘The Library’

The three bears are at the library and owe 8.95 for overdue books. They refuse to pay and the librarian is annoyed. Suddenly they see Chloe lost in her studying. Just like so many college students before her. Of course they need to help her because she is probably their best friend.

The bears decide to split up to help her. Panda meets Dial up for the first time and it is just too much. Ice Bear races another girl to get the book Chloe needs as there is one copy. Ice Bear loses the book when they knock the shelf over. Ice Bear soon gets it back.Grizz works to pump Chloe up who just wants to sleep. Grizz feeds Chloe enough chocolate to give her energy. Now on a sugar high Chloe runs around thee entire library hungry for knowledge.

They finally come together to find Chloe. They all eat so much sugar that time slows. It is always humorous when cartoons break reality like this. They run around and soon catch up to Chloe. They achieve all of their goals due to their speed and help Chloe study. They run to the school and find Chloe got the date for the test wrong. Of course she got the date wrong, she psyched herself up for the test so much that she forgot when the test actually was.

A good episode with the brothers each doing there own humorous thing. I enjoyed the call back to dial up internet. It is rare to see such a call back in modern shows because honestly it was a terrible time many probably want to forget.

New Girl S6 E6 ‘Ready’

Jess is ready to date again after so long. Nick wants to focus on his writing and asks Cece to manage the bar. As Jess goes out to tell her friends she is ready Schmidt comes out to tell them about his neck weight. Jess takes Schmidt to her gym to help him.

Jess and her friend Robby are clearly a match for each other. Schmidt thinks Jess should give it a shot and date Robby. They do look nice to each other.

A woman flirts with Winston who doesn’t understand it. Nick writes at his bar and is troubled by CeCe’s hiring. Winston is in a relationship and being so nice he hates shutting down women.

Jess has an odd but fun date and ends up ending it by calling him a friend. Worse way to show someone you want to be more than friends.

Schmidt talks to Jess and she tells him her date troubles. Jess couldn’t see herself marrying Robby and it was just a strange moment. He tells her just to have fun and kiss Robby.

Cece gives Schmidt a super long scarf which troubles him. Cece takes pictures of her new hire to help him in his modeling career. Nick can’t write because he is unsure of why this new bartender is so attractive.

Jess and Robby have a moment at the gym and Schmidt tells her to go get him. Jess tells Robby she did want to kiss him. She goes to kiss him while he is lifting a huge weight and it soon drops on them breaking Robbie’s nose. Not a great memory for a first kiss.

Jess also hurts her neck and has realized she isn’t into Robby. Schmidt thinks Cece thinks he is fat but Jess just tells him to be fat and happy and hang out with Cece. Jess goes to talk to Robby and fix things.

Nick crushes Winston so women won’t hit on him anymore. Nick finally comes to term with why the new bartender is attractive. Cece shows off her managerial power and inspires Nick.

Jess goes to tell Robby she isn’t into him and hurts him physically instead. Schmidt is eating cake and feels good because Cece will always love him. Jess decides to pretend to be into him to heal him before breaking his heart.

Nick brings in more models to help at the bar. He then tells her she should manage models. Seeing this change Schmidt decides he needs to work out she doesn’t get tired of him.

An episode where our characters all were able to grow in some way. I really thought it was a nice one. It is good to see character’s grow all throughout the seasons  and become better people.

Sora is coming to the World of Final Fantasy!

In time for the release of Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Sora is joining the characters of World of Final Fantasy. A nice character to have on your side for sure since he has been battling by Final Fantasy characters for a while.

He will first show up in Japan on the 12th when 2.8 is released and should also come to the west on the 24th when 2.8 comes out.

I look forward to summoning Sora to take out foes in World of Final Fantasy which is already a delight to play. I wonder what his attack will be when you summon him, clearly we are close to finding just what his power is!

Sora is arriving soon in January for Japan and a western release should follow! Keep tuned to Skatronixxx for more Popculture news!

PlayStation Experience Once Again Does not Disappoint!

Last year I was blown away by what was shown at the PlayStation Experience 2015. PlayStation is a stalwart and strong beast that releases superb games and I was thoroughly impressed. With 40+games shown off there was so much to take in.

The whole event started with a trailer that honestly I was only half sure of what it was. Starting this off with a spin off to Uncharted is just a fantastic move. Playing as Chloe Frazer looks like it will be a blast and it is great the Uncharted series is continuing.

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite was also shown highlighting a fight between Ryu and MegaMan X against Captain Marvel and Iron Man. Very interesting seeing Captain Marvel and Iron Man working together after their recent civil war. This game looks to be a 2v2 game and should have a pretty great line up. Do wonder who the big bad is though.

Crash is back in N Sane Trilogy Remastered. Our beloved marsupial has been away but has recently been revitalized and these games look amazing. Excited to collect Wampa Fruit and Battle Dr.Neo Cortex once again.It is really nice to see such a classic series revitalized, hopefully Spyro’s classic adventures are next!

The Last of Us 2 was also announced with an older Ellie ready to take on the world. Surprisingly enough Joel is also back.

Nier Automata is coming and looks like a solid JRPG.

Ni No Kuni 2 The Revenant Kingdom looks just as amazing as the first one. Still retainin a ghibli-esque style even though the famed studio didn’t have a thing to do with this game. Can’t wait to see more of this game!

Resident Evil Biohazard was shown off and the demo was updated once more.

Windjammers a classic Frisbee game is coming back to the Playstation and looks just like it did in the past. But this time it has online functionality, something it could have never had before.

Destiny is bringing back Sparrow racing

Knack 2 is coming out and looks just as fun as the first with Co-op as well!

Akuma’s return in Street Fighter V and 5 more new characters to come.

Let it Die is Free on the PSN store and is a vicious Dark Souls-esque game by Side 51.

Parapa the Rappa is coming back as are Patapon and Locoroco

Horizon Zero Dawn also got a sweeping trailer that showed off the different locales Alloy will traverse. Plus it showed many of the machines Alloy will have to take down and hunt.

Regular Show In Space S8 E23 ‘No Train No Gain’

Evil Pops has just gotten Noodles and he can’t find Pops or humorously the special sauce for his noodles. Anti Pops is vicious and powerful stronger than a five star rating system.

Pops is such a weak man because he is so childlike. He doesn’t want to do much of anything to destroy things. The sensei wants to do a training montage to train Pops.

Pops fails miserably at all tasks put before him, is he really the hero the universe needs? The montage technique eventually works and he does get stronger naturally. But the song for the montage begins to wear on the gang.

How could anyone listen to such a song over and over. Mordecai and Right change the song and pops grows stronger far quicker. Soon enough  though Mordecai and Rigby  get stuck in the montage and need to stop the music within it.

Pop’s power is soon uncontrollable and that could spell the end of the park. Quite humorous when they are thrown into the void and all film effects are added. I enjoy how many interesting ideas flow through this show it really is anything but regular.

In the void they have no idea where the boom box is but soon Benson is able to press the button.Pops is ready for whatever Anti-Pops is going to throw at him. I can’t wait to see Pops face Anti-Pops!

A fantastic episode filled with fourth wall breaking in regard to how montages are filmed. Just a solid story in this final season. It is good to see Pops become this legendary hero when he has been so weak this whole time.

Gotham S3 E10 Time Bomb

Lee and Mario are having dinner at the place that will be their rehearsal dinner space. They talk about Barnes and that there is a cure for the disease in the works. As they head outside and their car is pulled around it explodes. I wonder who is out to kill these two?

Jim promises Falcone he will find the man who did this and is given a day. Of course Jim is prideful and thinks he can do this.

Penguin is having a meeting of the five families asking for more protection money. Babsy comes in guns blazing looking for Tabitha and Butch. He scares her off and tells her of she does anything like this again her brains will be cleaned up by his cleaning lady.

Riddler has Tabitha and Butch trapped because he thinks Butch killed Isabella. He really doesn’t know because Penguin did it but he is electrocuted by Riddler all the same. I really enjoy the changes Butch is going through in this show, gaining and losing power all the time.

They have found that the time bomb was super powerful because an explosive expert named Fuse probably set it. The true target is of course Mario whose death would hurt Falcone worst.

Bruce and Cat are eating breakfast and looking at the key they found.Bruce is really troubled by the key and Cat not saying they were a couple. Ivy uses pheromones to get Alfred to tell her how to turn off the alarms. Enjoying Ivy’s decent into her true evil self.

Gordon has a talk with Mario and heads out to find the man responsible. Babsy goes to find information from Penguin’s cleaning lady.She finds out Penguin’s feelings for the Riddler.

Nygma wants to break Butch’s heart before he kills him so he will cut off her hand. Selina uses a common mixture to clean the key.The court of owls symbol is seen on the key. Soon they didn’t Ivy has been kidnapped, by the man she stole from.

The trio head to find Ivy. Bruce finds the man works against the court because they betrayed them. The man turns out to lead the Whisper Gang. Bruce wants to team up to find the safe the key unlocks.

Gordon talks to Falcons thinking Mario is mixed up in something. Mario has headed off to finish the job. Mario shows his true colors when the men come to attack him.

Babsy finds where Nygma has taken her friends. Nygma is jazzed to cut off Tabitha’s hand. Nygma offers a deal, of Tabitha will let her hand get cut off then he will free them both. Tabitha let’s her hand get cut off as Nygma realizes Butch didn’t kill Isabella. When Nygma finds Penguin killed Isabella I’m sure he’s going to descend even deeper into madness.

Babsy comes in and finds Nygma who leaves quickly. Mario tells Lee about what is happening. Falcone takes things into his own hands when he cuts a tooth from the man’s mouth.

Gordon vows to find who did it, not knowing it is the Court of Owls. The Whisper Gang is killed in a spectacular fashion facing Talon.

Babsy takes Tabitha in to stitch her hand back on. Babsy knows who offed Isabella, the only other who loves Nygma.

Falcone talks to the vicious white haired woman in the Court of Owls who has interacted with Bruce and Penguin. He is sent away with his tail between his legs. A sad event for such a strong character, I can’t wait until the Court is brought down.

Lee goes to Gordon and makes him tell what he has to. She kisses him and says goodbye one last time. Mario sees her walking out of Gordon’s house. He is infected with Alice Tech’s blood!

I really thought this was a solid episode because it showed the true power of the Court and finally seems to have tied up the Lee and Jim arc. Curious what Mario could do in the future that is for sure, we shall see.

Family Guy S15 E 7 ‘High School English’

Peter is locked in a library after crashing into a rich guys house. So he ends up reading classics to us all. I do enjoy when they adapt famous stories as they often do it in a way that highlights how vicious these stories are.

First up we start with the Great Gatsby starring Stewie as Nick Caraway. He travels over to Gatsby’s house played by Brian. Stewie of course pokes holes in the story. There are many points in the story that don’t make so much sense but clearly this is still a classic.

Daisy played by Lois is lead by Gatsby to his mansion. They all continue to poke holes in the story. I really enjoy this story so seeing a humorous take on it is great in my book.

Peter evades the cops and begins telling Huckleberry Finn. Peter is Huckleberry Finn and Chris is Tom Sawyer. Stewie is the Dad and Lois is the Widow Douglas.

Tom kills off Brian who is a pig and runs from his Dad. Of course Jim is played by Cleveland. They travel and evade their foes before going to see a Rush concert because Rush penned a song about Tom Sawyer.

Peter has guns pointed at him as Of Mice and Men begins. Stewie and Chris are George and Lenny. They go to ask for work and meet Slim played by Peter. Quagmire plays Curly and Meg plays his wife. Of course Meg plays the character that is brutally killed.

Crushing his hand Curly vows revenge at Lenny. Lenny kills off Curly wife as George sings at a gay bar. He heads down to the river to kill Lenny a really solid adaption of this novel even if it was more humorous. Stewie wishes luck on all kids doing book reports. I sincerely hope no child was doing a book report with the help of Family Guy.

Adventure Time S7 Finale Preboot/Reboot

Finn and Jake are with Susan Strong exploring human ruins.A Narwhal ship bashes through the floor, Tiffany Jake’s old friend walks out with a bionic arm. Susan is able to get through all locked gates.

They meet a strange Doctor who sings a song reminiscent of  the Willy Wonka song. Susan is not so impressed by these experiments. How could she be, they are rather terrible in their creation especially since some weird suited person crafted them.

The Doctor removes her suit to reveal she is human. If the heroes work for her they will get mechanical mods like hers. She has paralyzed them with candy to check them out. She brings up the Island which will be shown off in a new miniseries.

Susan saves them and the doctor sics her mutants on them. Tiffany saves Finn and Jake and sacrifices his standing with the doctor. Tiffany is a character that in his own weird way has grown up and that is a good thing.

Finn is riding a one of the doctor’s creatures a wind-powered eel. Susan tries to save Finn but is electrocuted. Jake save the day and Bubblegum talks to him. They find that she is a cyborg and that her target is Finn.

Susan captures Finn and leads the banana guards on a chase. She takes them down as Bubblegum saves Finn. Susan chases them to the Candy Kingdom and  has her guardians zap Susan.

Susan grows from the beams and now looks old. Rattleballs pops out and is swiftly beaten.

We see Sparkle the baby  from an old episode all grown up. Nice little call back indeed as usual for this amazing show. Jake charges in to save Finn but Finn doesn’t want any damage to befall Susan.

Finn takes Susan on by wearing the Jake Suit. Another great call back as Finn hasn’t used this suit since he dealt with the Goblins. She pins Jake down with an anchor and Finn is forced out. He charges with Finn sword in hand and breaks the chip in her head. She is freed from the evil of the chip and is confused how any of this happened.

The grass sword which is made to protect Finn goes haywire and soon seperates from Finn. The poor amputee is angry especially when the grass sword fuses with the Finn Sword as it is still Finn. The Grass Sword takes on a human shape form and even wields the grass sword. Things are going to be crazy when Season 8 finally premieres.

Bob’s Burgers S7E6 ‘The Quirkdancers’

Its time for the annual Thanksgiving episode. Bob’s love of Thanksgiving is a great part of the series. Tina tells about her troubles in school and her new story inspired by it. Of course Tina’s story really isn’t clean as this girl has rather nasty thoughts.

The Belcher kids are troubled by seeing a terrible play at school. They decide to turn Tina’s Thanksgiving story into a play as it will be so offensive. They talk their guidance counselor into letting them put on their play.

The Belcher kids put up auditions to find the worst. Tina is going to be the lead and Louise assures her they won’t get far in anyway.

Linda finds a strange potato that looks like her grandfather and it disturbs Bob. I mean it makes sense as Linda often goes off the rails with her ideas.

The kids work to put on the worst show do they can get a half day.They plan to fill the Turkey heads with Gizzards and giblets and sending them over the stage. Tina finds out but when everyone is excited for a real half day Tina concedes and they set the plan into motion. Bob brings the potato for Linda and they watch the play.

The play does decently as Louise sets the plan into motion. The Giblets and Gizzards fly out over everyone. It’s far more horrific then Louise would have imagined. How could it not be, when everyone in the room is covered in turkey guts?

Tina sings a song and ends up saving the day. Louise and Gene realize they aren’t getting a half day. Well they really got what they deserved for covering the room in guts. Of course their punishment would to clean it up, though I think they were okay with it.

They sing the numbers from the play but they actually do it right. I really enjoy that the credits are accompanied by the song from the episode its a signature Bob’s Burgers thing. This episode was a solid Thanksgiving episode with a good part for Tina to play. She certainly said some inspiring things that make her character that much more real in my eyes.

Jimmy Fallon got to play the Switch and now I’m even more excited!

The Nintendo Switch has been shown a few times now but not in all its glory. We have also only seen pre-rendered images of the games.

On Wednesday Jimmy Fallon had Reggie File, Bill Trinen, and Shigeru Miyamoto on. They talked about Super Mario Run and revealed a trailer for that. Miyamoto even played the Mario Theme with the Roots.

But the biggest part of the night was what was hiding under a yellow Mario block. Reggie lofted it up and there it was the Switch! He played a little Breath of the Wild and then let Jimmy have a turn.

The pure joy that showed on Jimmy’s face was beyond exciting. Clearly he was dying to play this and why wouldn’t he be? I cannot wait to experience the unbridled joy of playing the Nintendo Switch for the first time.

Breath of the Wild looks amazing and when it comes out it will surely be a hit. I cannot wait for its release and seeing this whole bit on Fallon my hype levels are even higher. Good thing we get to learn more about the Switch on January 12th!
