‘WWE’ & ‘E!’ Announce ‘Total Bellas’

With WWE and Total Divas alumni Nikki & Brie Bella sidelined from in-ring action, It seems that the veterans of pro-wrestling are moving onto pastures new with their own reality series Total Bellas.

During WWE’s broadcast of Monday Night RAW’s overseas trip to the UK; E! released the debut trailer for the Total Divas’s spin-off show. “We are excited to build on one of our most successful franchises with this new series that goes exclusively inside the world of WWE fan favourites The Bella Twins,” revealed Jeff Olde, EVP of Programming & Development at E!. “Nikki and Brie Bella have an undeniable charm and wit that matches their irrefutable beauty, and we are thrilled to get an intimate look into what it’s like to be in a relationship with some of the hottest sports entertainers in the world.

The six-episode series will also feature WWE superstars John Cena and Daniel Bryan, with John ‘Big-Johnny’ Laurinaitis joining the Bella’s clan after becoming engaged to the twin’s mother, Kathy Colace, in September last year.

It had been reported last week that E! had trademarked the name Total Bellas with reference to the title being used for a reality based show, leading many outlets to suspect that the Twins would be departing the Total Divas brand. E! confirmed today however that the pair will remain on the cast when the show returns for Season Six in the fall, alongside new cast members Maryse, Lana, Naomi and WWE announcer Renee Young.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow SN1 EP11 – ‘ The Magnificent Eight ‘

The Magnificent Eight

When last we left our heroes, Rory was advising them to “Run!”.  And for very good reason.  He knows that the Time-Masters have now sent a trio of mercenaries called the Hunters after them, himself included.  These Hunters will stop at nothing to erase them from the face of history.

The WaveRider lands at the town of Salvation in 1871, an attempt to hide from the Hunters in what Rip calls a “fragmentation”.  Even the geek twins (Martin Stein and Ray Palmer) are stumped by the terminology.   Much to my delight, only Rory understands the reference.    A fragmentation, as explained by Rory, is a temporal blind spot, a place and time where the Time-Masters cannot see.  Pretty smart for a guy with “the IQ of meat”!

1.jpg

The team want to go see the Old West, but Rip won’t go with them, saying that he wants to plot their next move against Savage.  Rory promises that he will behave, and the rest promise to stay out of trouble.  Sure.  Since when has that ever happened??

In the Last Salvation Saloon, Rory, Sara and Kendra belly up to the bar for shots.  Kendra notes that the alcohol tastes like gasoline and walks away, bumping into an older woman, which prompts a glimpse of memory.  Rory tells Sara that time is different in the Vanishing Point, and that it has been years since he saw the bottom of a glass.  She wants to know what happened to him there, because he is different, but she is not sure if that is good or bad.  Rory notes that she can hold her liquor.   She reminisces about other bars, where guys had tried to get her drunk, but laughs that they all ended up under the table.   Rory challenges her.  Meanwhile, Professor Stein is winning at a card table, surprising Len.  Martin tells him that he had watched his father, a degenerate gambler, and had picked up a few things, but then chose a different path.  He tells Len that “like father, like son” is not inevitable.  Meanwhile, a sore loser takes his anger at losing out on one of the saloon girls.  Martin objects, the loser draws, and Snart shoots him.   A man at a different table stands up, causing the patrons to scatter.  Stein tries to defuse the situation, but is interrupted by Snart.  “Your friend drew first, got put down, it was a clean shot.”  To which some smart ass asks “Do we look like we care about clean?” Too funny! And it’s on like Donkey Kong!  Rory doesn’t get to participate as he is asleep face down at the bar.  Sara wins!!  Lol.

A shadowy figure in the corner decides playtime is over and fires into the air.  He introduces himself as Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech).  Hex tells them they stick out like a sore thumb, so why don’t they tell him where they are really from, or rather WHEN they are from.  The shock on the teams’ faces is priceless, as they realize that they are not the first time travelers he has run across.  And there is more shock when Jonah wants to know where Rip is.

The team brings Hex to the ship, making Rip wonder what it is about them that they need to pick up strays everywhen they go.  Then he realizes who it is.  Hex compliments Rip on the look of the coat he had given Rip last time they met.

He tells Rip that he got the team out of trouble when one of them shot a member of the Stillwater Gang, which has been terrorizing Salvation for the last 3 months.  He thinks this will bring a whole lot of hell on the town.  Ray doesn’t aim to let that happen. Rip says they’ve already done too much, and they have probably already alerted the Hunters.  Ray argues that they signed on to be heroes.

Kendra wants to find the woman who prompted the memory flash, and so Sara goes with her.  They have some much needed girl time on the way.  Kendra is being drawn to the woman’s home, but is not sure why.

At the Sheriff’s office, the sheriff is hastily packing to get out of Salvation.  As he leaves, he makes Ray the new sheriff.

Stein has gone back to the saloon to buy information on the Stillwater Gang’s location.  While he is waiting for a map, he sees a woman crying and asks why she is drinking alone.  She tells him it is tonic water that she has bought for her dying son, Bertie (Glen Gordon).  He has consumption, and they came west in the hope that the change would help him, but the local doctor says that he has a day at most.  Martin goes with her to see the boy.

The Stillwater Gang rides into town and starts shooting it up.  They rein up in front of Ray, who is standing in the middle of the street.  He introduces himself as the new Sheriff, John Wayne.  Jeb Stillwater (Brent Stait), leader of the gang, explains the arrangement they have with the town.  Ray says the arrangement is over, so Stillwater draws.  Snart is on a balcony with a rifle, and shoots the revolver out of Stillwaters’ hand.  Ray tells him he has sharpshooters posted all around, and they had best get out of town, or the next one will go in his eye.  The gang leaves, and the townsfolk cheer.

Back at the ship, Jax celebrates Ray’s badass actions.  Hex notes that they keep poking at the hornet nest.  He asks if they have thought about what happens when they leave and warns that Salvation will end up like Calvert, with a glance at Rip that speaks volumes.  Rory wants to know about Calvert, Rip says it’s a closed matter, and takes Hex aside for a word.  The team has Gideon show them Calvert, a town that was decimated in 1868.

Martin can’t stand the thought that a child is dying when he could so very easily be saved.  He has Gideon manufacture streptomycin, which is 70 years in the future away from being invented.  Rip points out that he is mucking with the time stream again, but Martin argues that Ray is doing the same.  Rip agrees that he is, but that he is doing so with 19th century technology.    Martin argues that Rip hasn’t a leg to stand on because of Calvert.

Rip explains that he had been on a mission for the time-masters and when the mission was done, had become so attached to the era that he had begun to suffer from time-drift.  He had to tear himself away.  Calvert had been terrorized by the Turnbull Gang, led by Quentin Turnbull, and Rip and Hex had done what Ray was doing with Salvation.  The day after Rip left, Calvert was destroyed by the gang.  Stein refuses to back down from helping Bertie, because he won’t live with the regret that he sees on Rip’s face.  Hex has found where the gang is hiding, thanks to the information Martin bought.  The team saddles up to go arrest Stillwater, but Rip still refuses to go.

Kendra and Sara find the mystery woman’s cabin.  Kendra realizes that the woman is an earlier incarnation of herself.  She advises Kendra against ever trying to love anyone except Carter, who was Hannibal Hawkes in this life.  After Savage killed Hannibal, any other love she had never ended well.  While they are looking at a sketch of the earlier Kendra and Hannibal, Kendra notices a bracelet in the sketch that she remembers, and asks about it.  The bracelet was present in her first life, but is lost, having been taken by bandits.  Kendra remembers that things present in her first life can be used to kill Savage.

Martin has given Bertie the medicine, and he is rapidly healing.  Stein makes his mother, Sarah Neal (Anna Galvin), promise to burn all of the leftover medicine and the vials when Bertie is better.

At the gang’s campsite, bullets are flying everywhere but Ray arrests Stillwater (and Mirandizes him, lol).  The gang regroups and captures Jax.  However, the team is out of ammo so they beat a hasty retreat, leaving Jax behind but with the intent to use Stillwater as leverage.

Hex suggests a quick draw at high noon.  If Ray wins, they get Jax back, but if he loses, they must release Stillwater, and Ray will be dead.  Rory approves of the plan, since he still enjoys as much havoc as possible.  Hex suggests using future tech to cheat, but Rip will not allow it.  Hex wants to know if Rip would have stayed if he had known what would happen to Calvert, and then punches Rip when he finds out Rip did know. Rip explains that the reason he had to tear himself away was because the era presented too many opportunities to be a hero, he needed to get back to his soon to be wife before he forgot all about her, and if he had stayed he would no longer have been a time-master.  But since he no longer is a time-master, he will be the one to face Stillwater in the quick draw.

3

At high noon the gang rides into town with Jax.  Snart marches Stillwater out into the street, and gives him a revolver.  Rip and Stillwater draw, and Rip wins.  The gang releases Jax and rides off, just as the Hunters appear.

Rip did bring two new tech revolvers from the ship, the sneak! He gives Hex one.  Ray puts his suit on, Martin and Jax merge, Kendra hawks out and the fight is on. Rory fistfights with one of the Hunters who calls him a traitor.  Rory says not possible, as he was never on their side, he was always on his own side.  Before Rory stabs him with his own knife, the Hunter tells Rory that the Omega Protocol has been initiated and the Pilgrim is on the way.  When the Hunters have all been put down, Hex and Rip talk.  Hex has to leave, but would be okay with meeting them again.  Martin says goodbye to Bertie Neal, but Bertie corrects him.  His last name is his father’s – his mother adds that his full name is Herbert George Wells.  How about them apples?

Back at the ship, Kendra insists that she has told Ray everything, and that the rest is not important since it was just what the woman thought. I am not convinced she told Ray the woman was an earlier incarnation.

So what is the Omega Protocol and the Pilgrim?  Rory and Rip tell the team that she is the time masters’ deadliest assassin.  Snart thinks they can handle her and Rip agrees, but says this is why the Pilgrim will go after their younger selves.

The last scene in this week’s episode is of a young boy, sitting in a field watching a house burn.  Although we don’t know for sure, it is probably Rory, given his penchant for fire.  The boy doesn’t know there is a mysterious and menacing woman stood behind him, with her weapon trained on him.  Fade to black as we hear a shot.

My Favorite Moments:

I didn’t see the Jonah Hex movie, so I can’t compare Johnathon Schaech’s performance to Josh Brolin’s, but I can say that this Jonah Hex is IMHO, perfect casting..  I am looking forward to future guest appearances.  It seems to me that he could even become an addition to the team.

Rory!!!  OMG!!!  The man has definitely been changed by his time in the Vanishing Point, and it is a good change!  Although it seems like he is still on no side but his own, he will be an asset for as long as their interests coincide.  I have hopes that he will eventually become a whole-hearted member of the team.

Sara actually smiles!!!

Ray is a tall glass of water, togged up in Old West gear, and Len looks damn good too. Hey, a little eye candy never hurts!!

Discovering that Rip’s son Jonas is actually named after Jonah Hex.

The backdrop of this episode was the NOLA Jazz & Music festival which added a sense of fun even if The Mikaelsons were dealing with dire straights.  The Win10 hybrid Lucien was trying once again to romance, in his totally unstalkerish creepy way, Klaus’ crazy ex-girlfriend by giving her a jar of blood.  How romantic.

In said jar was the blood of a Mikaelson witch (Freya) and a little extra to make Aurora a Win10 hybrid too.  Aurora totally has him wrapped around her finger, saying she’ll drink the blood if he agrees to save her brother or end his suffering.  Which of course means that Lucien would have to kill Elijah.  Ya know, since his sire bond is still intact.

Klaus goes after Lucien.  Now, you gotta understand here.  Klaus isn’t used to being anything but the Baddest of all the BAMF’s on the planet.  I mean his mantra has always been “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death… blah blah blah… I’m the baddest S.O.B in the valley.”  And shock of all shocks, he gets his BAMF ass handed to him….and Lucien ties him up with some chains and stuff that has come kind of witchy stuff going on so that Klaus can’t escape.  Kinky, I know.

On the Kol front, Davina gets help from Marcel and Vincent.  But, Vincent gets knocked down to size when he finds out he’s no longer The Ancestors’ choice for regent.  He’s been voted out of the cemetery and there’s a new Regent in town.  But, Marcel convinces Kol to “do the right thing” and leave NOLA and get out of The Ancestors’ power range.  As soon as Kol crosses the city limit sign though he starts to desiccate and has to come back into the realm of The Ancestors.

Back across town, Lucien leaves Klaus in the company of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Aurora while he goes off to take care of Elijah.  Now, Elijah has agreed to meet Lucien even though he knows it’s a trap.  But, he doesn’t come alone.  He brings Freya and a whole lot of Strix members with him.  And, although Freya temporarily binds Lucien to a spot on the floor… they eventually have to run for their lives, since The Ancestors like Lucien more than they like any of the Mikaelsons.

In the meantime, Cami and Hayley try to save Klaus.  They have a lot more luck accomplishing their goals than Elijah, Freya and The Strix do.  Before the Cami/Hayley Calvary arrives, Klaus gets Aurora to admit that shes just using Lucien (and his hidden camera catches it all).  Aurora drinks the blood from the jar and hopes that Cami and Hayley will kill her and finish her transformation to Win10 hybrid status.  But, they fool the hell outta her by just knocking her out.  So now she’s playing Sleeping Beauty inside the Mikaelson Compound so that Freya can try to find a cure for her (and Lucien’s) bite.

And the best part?  Klaus knows that Cami really does love him, but we have to wait two weeks to get to see the make up stuff.  Darn it!

The Vampire Diaries SN7 EP18 – ‘ One Way Or Another ‘

SN7 EP18:  One Way Or Another

Written By:  Rebecca Sonnenshine (teleplay) & Penny Cox (story)

Directed By:  Rashaad Ernesto Green

We are now firmly in the “Three Years From Now” story line.  In this episode we got some buddy action going on with Ric and Damon, although Ric really didn’t want to be there.  Ric was grudgingly helping Damon to save Stefan who was still in the body of Marty the drunk driver from E17.  The vamp currently occupying Stefan’s body is a serial killer named Ambrose.

It’s a race against time, because Marty’s way human body can’t hold Stefan for long without breaking down (i.e. what happened early in the season with Jo).  So Damon tells Valerie to set up in a hotel to get ready for the body swapping spell while he tries to get Marty/Stefan and Stefan/Ambrose to her.  Ambrose is inside a frat house in Memphis, a house that Damon can’t enter without an invitation.  But, Ambrose agrees to leave Stefan’s body if Damon will kill Rayna for him.  Sounds easy right?  I mean killing The Huntress now that her sword is gone should be a piece of cake.  Right?

Wrong.  Rayna is in a Uber car headed after one of the vamps that has escaped the Hell of the Phoenix Stone and Enzo hijacks the car and takes Rayna.  He’s trying to find a cure for the poison pills made from Rayna’s blood that he’s been giving to Bonnie to hide her from The Armory.

So Damon has to come up with another plan.  While dealing with Ambrose who keeps compelling college students to deliver messages to Damon and Ric (who is continually telling Damon that he just wants to go home).  First, a college co-ed comes to the car window offering her phone to Damon with the words “He said if you don’t answer it I’m supposed to walk into traffic”.  Damon answers and then keeps the pink sparkly cased phone, which later gives us the best line of the episode when Ambrose calls back and Ric says, “Your Barbie dream phone is ringing.”

In this episode we get to see a frantic Damon who just wants to save his brother.  He really doesn’t want to let Stefan down again…. which has become his default setting.

We finally find out why Bonnie is locked up in a mental institution, and it’s not because being Damon’s best friend finally drove her bonkers.  She’s trying to buddy up to Alex St. John’s (the leader of The Armory) sister, who’s been locked up for a long time. Virginia St. John totally flips out when she finds out that Bonnie is a Bennett Witch.  She tries to kill Bonnie ranting about how Bonnie can not open the vault… the vault has to stay closed or else.  Which left me asking “What’s in the box?  What’s in the box?”

After they save Stefan, Ric tells Damon off … and then tells him where Bonnie is, suggesting that he might have better luck making nice with her.  Damon shows up right behind Enzo, after Bonnie has found out that she’s dying.  Damon even brought flowers.

And, and, and…. Bonnie slams the door in his face!  But, I mean really, did anyone NOT see that coming?

Next week we get to see Bonnie and Clyde, uh I mean Damon go on a rampage.

So. Can’t. Wait.

‘Men In Black’ Meets ‘Jump Street’ Film Title Revealed

MIB 23

We heard rumours of a Men In Black meets Jump Street crossover film early last year during the Sony hack scandal that gave an insight into where the companies film division planned on moving forward in the coming years. One of those said plans was Spider-Man being lent out to Marvel which eventually became a reality and it seems that MIB 23 is actually happening also.

At last weekend’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas, sources out of ComicBook.com snapped a quick-pic of the logo (above) revealing the franchise mash-up title alongside Sony’s panel announcement that the film was moving forward.

No official word as to whether Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will once again step into the black suits for MIB 23. But the Sony Pictures hacks did indicate that Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will return without Jump Street’s original Director’s Phil Lord & Christopher Miller. Instead Muppets (2011) Director James Bobin has been tapped to takeover the comedy-action series.

Fear The Walking Dead SN2 EP1 – ‘ Monster ‘

fwd6

This post contains spoilers.

The season two premiere episode did a good job showing us where the show is going this season and establishing some of the over-arching themes.  At its heart, the episode was about the death of the old world and the beginning of the new one.

At the beginning we see the group escaping the burning city of Los Angeles on Strand’s yacht. I liked the action here and we can tell that Travis and company are learning how to take out walkers. It’s also fun to see people fighting large groups of fresh walkers again. These walkers are much more of a threat than the ones currently on The Walking Dead, which are almost an afterthought at this point. The opening also had one of the best walker kills on either show when Nick chopped up one with the motor blade on the raft. The final shot of the opening was very fitting. The old world is burning to the ground as they leave it behind for an uncertain future.

After the break, it was time for the group to get down to business and figure out what they were going to do. Strand stated that they have enough fuel to get about 3,000 miles. I feel this line was thrown in so us fans aren’t constantly asking “but why don’t they ever run out of fuel?” In the short-term we know fuel isn’t a concern but they’ll have to get more eventually. We also find out that Strand’s initial plan is to go to San Diego and “hopefully” get help from the Coast Guard or some other military organization. Travis is understandably nervous about getting involved with the military again but, as Strand points out, they don’t have many options.

I also like how the group quickly ran into more survivors and was faced with a hard decision. The reality of their situation necessitates a new, more pragmatic, way of thinking. The idea of helping others is great but you have to think about what it will cost you and whether it will expose you to more danger. These situations will help us determine who is ready to deal with the new world and who isn’t. Ultimately, the survivors will be those who are strong enough to make the tough calls. Strand, Daniel, and even Travis immediately see that they can’t risk offering aid to the people on that ship. Whereas Maddie and Alicia wanted to offer help regardless of the risks. This type of conflict is being set up to be a major source of tension in the group. Especially between Maddie and Travis and whether their relationship can survive this new reality.

fwd3

Help or Survive?

Travis is also dealing with the aftermath of his decision to kill Liza at the end of last season.  It was clearly the right thing to do but his son, Chris, is having a very hard time coping.  This is the first time any of these people have experienced having to make that choice.  Eventually, Chris will learn to accept that what Travis did was the only choice he could make.  It seemed like he was starting to come around after his talks with Daniel and Maddie.  Not to mention his little swim with Nick at the end.  We’ll have to see how long it takes him to adjust to the new world and if he can forgive Travis.

fwd5

Daniel won’t have much trouble adjusting

Unfortunately, this is one of the aspects of the show that Walking Dead viewers will find frustrating.  We already learned a lot of these lessons watching Rick and his group and waiting for these people to catch up seems like a step back.  But the whole point of this show is to see how normal people might deal with this sort of crisis so its necessary to cut them some slack.  They aren’t all going to be able to adjust their thinking to survive and it will be interesting to see who is strong enough.

We also saw this in Alicia’s interaction with Jack on the radio. She was quick to trust him and divulge all sorts of information that would make them a prime target. To at least some viewers (myself included) this seemed monstrously stupid. How could you trust some random voice on a radio? But from the point of view of a scared young girl it makes sense. She’s looking for someone to talk to and Jack sounded like a trustworthy enough guy. What’s the harm in having a simple conversation about their boats and where they’re going? But now it looks like Jack might be a pirate of some sort. We’ll see next week what that simple conversation will cost the group. I hope Strand has some weapons stored on the boat. Also, if they do this right, adding pirates to a show about zombies might be the best thing on television this year.

fwd2

Plus, floating walkers…sick.

Strand is probably the most interesting character on the show so far.  He is obviously very capable, pragmatic, and smart.  He knows that both the living and the dead will be a big threat moving forward and acts accordingly.  He’s also quick to lay down the law and makes it clear that since they’re on his boat he makes the rules.  He definitely seems like the sort of guy that could become a “Negan-ish” figure in the future.  So, it will be interesting to see if everyone is able to prove that they have worth and stay on the boat.

Strand is obviously willing to make hard calls, like leaving that boat behind without a second thought, but he also took a big risk in saving the rest of the group.  He easily could have left them all behind at the beginning but he waited, so he’s obviously not all bad.  There’s also something about him and the way he acts.  Daniel points this out toward the end of the episode, it’s almost as if he knew this crisis was coming and was prepared to survive.  I really hope we get to see where he came from and what he knows.  His back story could also lead to more insight about how this all happened in the first place.

fwd4

Post-apocalyptic man of mystery

At the end, we saw another ship that had been attacked, possibly by Jack and his crew.  I’m sure we’ll find out some more about what happened when the group has time to look at the log that Nick found.  For now though, they’re going to have to brace for a possible attack.  Speaking of Nick, he’s another one of the better characters on the show.  Despite his drug problem, which I’m sure will come back into play this season, he’s definitely in the category of a “survivor” along with Strand and Daniel and is much more capable than he looks.

fwd1

Looking out at a new world, full of threats

The first season of Fear The Walking Dead focused mainly on establishing the zombie crisis and showing us how quickly the world descended into chaos as a result. Due to the short run of the season, we didn’t get much of character development. It felt rushed and, at times, inconsistent. However, it seems like season two will be taking the time to allow us to invest in the characters and their individual story lines. Plus, they’re adding in some complex issues revolving around the threats of both the dead and the living. This episode laid the ground work for what is hopefully going to be a good sophomore season for Fear The Walking Dead.

Make to sure to come back to skatronixxx.com for my thoughts on next week’s episode and follow @drnerdlaw for all things in the Walking Dead universe.

Damien SN1 EP6 – ‘ Temptress ‘

wp-1460593068295.jpeg

Holy shit what an episode! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and my mind was working overtimeda trying to process what my eyes were seeing and just when I thought I had my head around it BANG! Mazzara throws another twist into the mix that creates heaps more questions and what you thought was real was actually not or was it? For those of you missed last weeks episode or like me have a bad memory here is a recap below.

SN1 EP5 – ‘ Seven Curses ‘

Damien goes to meet a shrink about this PTSD and while there he meets the family of the little boy he saved at the subway station. The boy’s father was injured while serving in the army and it undergoing treatment. When Damien asks him to let him shoot his agony, the soldier confesses to Damien that he plans to commit suicide and requests Damien to shoot his attempt. Simone steals the keys to Damien’s apartment from Armani and tries to understand what her sister Kell was trying to do before she died in a freak accident. Damien, quite disturbed after the soldier’s suicide goes to his parent’s home and tries to kill himself in the garage by turning on the car engine and injecting himself with something to lose conscious. After he falls unconscious, tow dogs drag him out and stand guard for him.

SN1 EP6 – ‘ Temptress ‘

Ok let’s get into this weeks episode, it was full of twists but has also raised more questions about Damien and his so-called protectors. Damien wakes in hospital only to see Ann trying to convince the doctor that his suicide attempt was an accidental drug overdose, but the doctor is not stupid and knows a suicide when she sees one she calls to tells Damien that Detective Shay will be by later to speak to him. Damien removes the oxygen, gets dressed and escapes from hospital to speak to John Lyons and find out more about Ann. Amani calls Damien and tells him that he has someone who needs to tell him something, when he arrives he meets a tattoos artist that tells him he was forced to tattoo the 666 in his head by to men, and was worried Damien had recognize him from the VA hospital elevator.
Damien receives a call from the doctor and is told they had found hallucinogens in his blood and he suspects that Ann has been poisoning him in order to make him believe he is the Antichrist. Damien goes home and throws out all the food not knowing what was poisoned and what wasn’t, Damien is starting to feel happier now he is starting to realize that the whole Antichrist story is totally fabricated, he tells Simone its like a dark cloud is lifted and then he leans in and starts kissing her? Hold up! what the hell?? That totally came out of nowhere or did I miss something?

Damien sweet talks his way into Lyons office and takes a file of a woman with him and discovers  that’s his mother and she  is actually alive and living in a quiet countryside estate …. Now I definitely didn’t see that coming it’s totally blindsided me. Damien makes contact with her and meets with her at what looks like his childhood home which struck me as a little odd, she tells him she was told that he and his father were dead and that these people are extremely dangerous. Ann followed Damien to his mother’s home and the struggled and in the struggle Damien’s mum lost her footing and fell down the flight of stairs hitting her head, Damien tries to help her but quickly realizes she is gone. He attacks Ann and grabs her by the throat he is then tackled by two of her goons and they try to inject him with something but he manages to avoid it and runs out of there and drives off but later gets arrested by Detective Shay who leaves Damien in the car and he watches on while the old woman attacks Shay and Lyons and then turns on Damien, he wakes up screaming in an ambulance as they are trying to sedate him. Damien wakes up in a hospital room calling for his mother and Ann rushes to his side to calm him and its then he realizes it was all a dream and tells Ann to go away and leave him alone, she then relizese that he hates her and she is visually upset and leaves the hospital in tears.

‘Ben Affleck’ To Star & Direct Solo ‘Batman’ Movie

Batman

Batfleck fans brace yourself! That standalone Batman movie that your wanted will actually happen with Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck once again doning the Cape n’ Cowel and also directing.

The news comes hot off the heels of last months confirmation that Affleck is contractual oblige to star in at least two more Justice League films with a solo Batman film “an option for the multi-talented Hollywood star.

Well it seems that “option” has been picked up, with Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirming during their press event at CinemaCon yesterday. Affleck, on stage alongside Tsujihara, shared his excitement for future DC instalments expressing that it has been “tremendously exciting for us to be a part of the DC Universe, and we’re looking forward to working on Justice League.

With David Ayer’s Suicide Squad set to introduce a number of Batman’s most infamous Villains – including a cameo from Affleck’s Batman no less – it would be safe to assume that groundwork will already be in place by the time we see Affleck’s Batman movie further down the line.

So in the meantime, enjoy the prospect of Jared Leto’s Joker and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn kicking some Batfleck arse in the future with the latest Suicide Squad trailer.

‘Marvel’ Reveals New Movie Title ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Spider-Man Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming see’s Marvel’s first son return to the fold – of course not before his well publicised cameo in this months Captain America: Civil War – and to celebrate, the big wigs put on a big soiree which saw Spidey actor Tom Holland release tidbits of information about web-heads newest reboot.

In press released at CinemaCon, Holland joined Sony Pictures Head Tom Rothman on stage to unveil the studios first joint film with Marvel Studios and that nifty new logo (above). “I’m Tom Holland and I’m your new Spider-Man,” quipped Holland before revealing that his first solo Spider-Man movie will see the titular hero search for his identity. While “saving the world and getting your algebra homework done at the same time,” added Rothman.

Acknowledging the woes that Sony have had with the arachnid-hero in recent years, Rothman commented that their lucrative deal with Marvel will hopefully see Spider-Man’s story go past “about three movies.

So with no episode last week, when we left Lucifer, Detective Decker who had been drinking and threw herself at Lucifer and I imagine to everyone surprised he turned her down, I know I didn’t expect that. Here is a quick recap of episode 10…

SN1 EP10 – ‘ Pops ‘

Decker and Lucifer investigate the poisoning death of the owner/Chef at an upscale Mexican restaurant, Suspicion falls on the owner’s estranged son a recovering drug addict, and sous-chef Anne who would assume control of the restaurant if the son was out of the picture. The investigation complicated by the surprise arrival of Chloe’s mother. Malcom reveals to Dan his plans to kill Lucifer, as directed by Amenadiel and Maze visits Dr. Martin as a patient.

SN1-EP11 – ‘ St. Lucifer ‘

Chloe wakes up and slowly starts to realize she is not in her bed, nor is she clothed and then it dawns on her exactly who’s bed she is naked in and its in that moment you see the “oh shit what have I done” look on her face that I’m sure many of us have experience at one time or another? Lucifer cheekily asks Chole if she would like a double espresso or a hair of the dog while he strings her along thinking that they had slept together. Lucifer has gotten some sort of rush from turning Chloe down and seeks to replicate that rush by doing good deeds starting with the latest murder the dynamic duo were called to investigate, Mr Dunlear an ex ball player come philanthropists helping the children of Hati. Lucifer decides that his function must go on and offers the grieving wife to hold the function at LUX, hoping the good deed would provide him with another rush but alas that wasn’t so.

Malcom has Dan in the basement cable tied to a poll, he tells Dan he was brought back from hell by an angel and in order to stay out of hell and live a full life, he has to put a bullet in Lucifer, Dan tells Malcom he doesn’t like Lucifer but he wont allow him to kill him and that’s when Malcom reminded Dan that his print are all over the weapon so it will actually be you killing him. Chloe and Lucifer attend a luncheon full of women in the hopes it Lucifer can charm some information out of them, the suave devil entertains the ladies when a plan D presents itself to the duo. Malcom goes back to the basement to taunt Dan more and he get him to come close enough to kick the food out of this hands and food and cutlery go flying and Dan managers to hide the knife under his foot, he finally able to break out of the basement to find Lucifer.

Maze pays Amenadiel a visit and they bond over wine, both feeling lonely and by the looks could lead to a lot more bonding. Lucifer look devilish for this evening function is surprised when Malcom is behind him pointing a gun at him, Lucifer is able to bargain him off with the pentecostal coin, Mrs Dunlear comes looking for Lucifer the “man of the hour” and it hits him, she murdered her husband and as he turned she shot Lucifer in the chest. Dan gets to LUX and finds Lucifer on the ground upstairs shot in the chest my then Lucifer’s takes a breath much to their surprise. Lucifer is speaking to Maze again and soon finds out she slept with Amenadiel, he tells her that his dear brother got some on to kill him and is not sure why he is alive, he slices his hand with a pocket knife and there was no cut or blood, so why is he immortal sometimes and completely human other times? Lucifer heads to Chloe’s places to test a theory, Chloe tells him their relationship goes further than just work and she is able to let her guard down around him, she can’t do that with anyone else and tell him he makes her vulnerable and at the moment he cuts his hand with the pocket knife behind his back and there is blood in his hand, with a shocked and confused look he tells her that it appears you make me vaunrabl too.

What a great episode didn’t see it going down that road and normally I can pick that stuff a mile away and then I get board with the show, but Lucifer is different It keeps me guessing and interested and now even more so with this episode!
