GOTG2 trailer gets a Lego touch up

gotg2.jpg

I absolutely love it when people get creative and decide that movies, TV shows or trailers need a revamp in Lego. And now we have the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer we get to enjoy in the Lego style. Nice!

You can thank those at Huxley Berg Studios for giving us the awesome Lego made video of the GOTG 2 trailer. The video takes only a minute and a half to watch, which is such a tease, but its sooooooooo good regardless. I am obsessed wit baby Groot, so seeing him in lego form was a thrill.

Please enjoy this video below, the guardians of the Galaxy movie is not set to come out until May of 2017 so until then, all we can do is enjoy the trailers and binge watch the first GOTG movie until the second comes out. ^_^

American Horror Story: Roanoke ‘Chapter 10’

roanoke-1

This season has gone way too fast, I can believe we are at the final episode already, I don’t know about you guys but I loved the way this season was done, I also loved the fact that I never knew what was going to happy, it is a quality that I love about AHS. Before we look at the final episode lets have a quick recap of ‘Chapter 9’ first.

Roanoke ‘Chapter 9’ Recap

A new actor shows up to the house as per Sidney’s request. Three of the shows fans enter the woods to shoot the blood moon and the history of the house for the web and find out very quickly that all the events at Roanoke were true. Lee is possessed by Sháchath and murders the three young Youtubers, Monet and attempted to murder Audrey. Right let’s take a look at the final episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke ‘Chapter 10’

Roanoke ‘Chapter 10’

In the March after My Roanoke Nightmare aired on television, it was screened at PaleyFest where the cast and crew were interviewed by Trixie Mattel and Edward Hansen, and during which, Sidney (Cheyenne Jackson) teases the possibility of a second season. One of Lee’s (Adina Porter) fans asks if she can give her a picture of a drawing she had done and also asks for a hug, which lee reluctantly agrees to. That same fan makes a YouTube video, in which she directly addressing Lee, why she came back to do the follow-up to My Roanoke Nightmare, she goes on to criticise the follow-up saying that it felt contrived and would only tarnish the legacy of the original. Then we see another video and it’s from, the real Lot Polk (Frederick Koehler) and hs is promising vengeance on Lee for taking his to babies away from him.

A TV series called Crack’d documents every part of Lee’s life, from her family, her addiction, the custody battle, the murder of her ex-husband and her appearance on My Roanoke Nightmare. In an on-camera interview, the district attorney claims he always knew that Lee was guilty and footage of the murders of the murders from Return To Roanoke: Three Days in Hell will prove it. Lee is put on trial for the murders but her attorney uses the horror and psychological trauma that Lee had to face at the hands of the Polks as a defence strategy. The district attorney is not satisfied and prosecutes her for Mason’s (Joe Alvarez) murder, and in another interview, he walks us through his evidence of Lee’s guilt. Flora (Simone Baker) testifies against her mother in the trial, saying that she witnessed Lee killing her father in the wood. When cross-examined, Lee’s attorney asks why Flora went into the woods alone. Flora says she went out there because she felt safe with Priscilla (Savannah Liles) and Lee’s attorney used this to cast doubt on Flora’s account and the jury find Lee not guilty of Mason’s murder. After the trial, Lee tries to speak Flora but is brushed off.

We are shown another TV series, The Lana Winters Special, the famous reporter Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson) She runs through Lee’s life following her acquittal, Lee has written a best-selling book about her harrowing ordeal, and Lana Winters has come out of retirement to interview Lee. However Lee is sceptical of Winters intentions but says Flora gives her hope, and that is what gets her through, and when asked she does admit that she doesn’t see much of FloraLana says to Lee that she can’t be that surprised, Lee starts to get defensive and angry. Winters asks why her despite all the offers from other outlets Lee picked her, Lee says that she thought Winters would be more understanding and sympathetic given her history with atrocities. Lana invites Lee to speak to Flora directly, Lee looks down the barrel of the camera and says she hopes that one day Flora can understand and forgive her for what she has done, Lana then asks Lee point-blank about Flora’s whereabouts, Lee clearly has no idea what’s going on as Lana informs a very shocked Lee that her daughter went missing earlier that day, and she accuses Lee of taking Flora. All of a sudden they hear shots from what sounds like an assault rifle then Lot Polk burst into the room and threatens the pair, then knocks Lana out with the butt of his rifle, she tries to talk him into giving the weapon up, and just as he is about to shoot Lee, he is blown away by the police.

We are shown another TV show called Spirit Chasers, a group of paranormal investigators trespass into the Roanoke house during the blood moon, in the hopes of capturing the reported ghosts of the house on film. While the house is being set up for filming one of the hosts explains some of it haunted history. They bring in the re-enactor who played Cricket Marlowe actor Ashley Gilbert (Leslie Jordan) and come nightfall they begin to experience paranormal activities that start to unnerve them when they are interrupted by Lee who is searching for Flora who has been missing for two weeks. Lee advises them to leave this hell hole of the house while they can, when suddenly the thermal cameras in the house pick up the Chen family as well as picking up the and recording the voice of Priscilla. The Chasers proceeds to ignore Lee’s warning and Ashley is killed by the Piggy Man, one down two to go, as the rest of the Spirit Chasers attempt to flee but are killed by Thomasin and her mob.

Lee and Flora are finally reunited inside the house. The following day, the news reports that Lee is involved in a 14 hour standoff with police at the Roanoke house, they believe Lee kidnapped Flora again and is holding her hostage. Lee and Flora begin to bond and Lee explains that her mistakes were always for Flora’s benefit, she apologises and begs for her forgiveness, she wants Flora to come home but Flora wants to sacrifice herself by burning the house down and becoming a ghost so she can protect Priscilla from Thomasin (The Butcher). Lee tells Flora she will look after Priscilla so Flora can go live her life and can come visit anytime, Flora and Priscilla agree to Lee’s offer of sacrifice and together Lee and Flora burn the Roanoke house down. Flora is found by the police and as they drive her away she watches her mother and Priscilla as they walk off into the woods, Thomasin watches from a hilltop as her mob surrounds the remaining offices and the burning house, with the blood moon again looming in the sky and the sound of wooden totem clanging ominously.

Welcome back!

When we last left our friends, they were about to leave the planet and the Sows, when Ian realized, the device that helps power the TARDIS is back with the Daleks…

“OOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEOOOOOOOO”

Back in the city, a door opens and a Dalek comes through. They have duplicated the drug and are discussing how to process this among the others. They look at the viewing machine, and see pictures of the heroes. The Daleks figure that since the heroes have made contact with the Sows, they will now come back and attack.

“No, that is my final word” states Aladon to Ian. Aladon then walks away frustrated, Ian does as well. Ian sits next to Barbara, he discusses with her that there is no use in asking them to help stand against the Daleks. She states that without the Sows, they are stuck on the planet. Barbara and Ian continue to argue back and forth for a moment on needing the help of the Sows. Ian does not feel right about asking them more to sacrifice themselves in order to help the heroes escape the planet. Susan walks over hearing the argument, she sits next to them for a moment then gets up realizing they are in a bicker. Susan wonders to the Doctor. “Any luck grandfather?” she asks hopeful. The Doctor informs her that without the piece of the TARDIS then they are still stuck. He realizes that the trick he played on the others has backfired now and they may be stuck on the planet forever. The Doctor walks over to Ian, They are discussing how foolish the Doctor was to be so careless, and Ian does not seem to feel that the doctor is completely at fault. Barbara walks over to the men, “Its amazing how you two can waist so much time with small talk.” She states annoyed. “I assure you, I am wasting no time….’ Informs the Doctor to Susan. “Do you think we can succeed against the Daleks alone?” Asks the Doctor, “Of course not.” States Susan. The Doctor then continues on, explaining how the Sows have the ability to move in stealth and be undetected by the Daleks, but Ian is not for any plan to involve them in their fight. “Ya, but they are unprotected.” Ian claims. ‘Mind will always triumph. With my help, they will succeed.” States the Doctor. Susan informs the Doctor that this has been an argument all morning, on having the Sows help. Ian is still reluctant, insisting that he will not allow the Sows to fight in their battle. Barbara and the Doctor both insist to Ian that they need the Sows to help if they are to complete the mission and retrieve the missing TARDIS part from the Daleks. “I am not having anyone’s death on my conscience,” Ian states, “Accept for mine, the Doctors and Susans.’ Barbara points out. Ian is still not convinced, “The only way the sows will fight is if they want to, it will have nothing to do with us.” “I know exactly what you mean,’ Susan starts, “if the Sows fight then its for themselves, not to help us.” “Exactly” confirms Ian, realizing that at least someone is on his side. Barbara and the Doctor are frustrated, they walk away, Ian continues after them, “Listen you two, what victory are you going to show them when most of them have died? A fluid link, is this what you are going to hold up to them and say ‘thank you very much, this is what you fought and died for?” Barbara looks at the doctor now they feel a bit embarrassed. Susan asks can the Sows still fight, Ian wonders too if they are cowards or are capable of fighting. He then walks over and picks up a metal piece from the ground and walks over to the Sows. He talks with them about self-respect and defending themselves. “We will not fight, there will be no more wars. Look at our planet, it was full of ideas and invention…I am sorry” Aladon apologizes. Ian more frustrated now accuses Aladon of not being sorry, that he is all talk and no action. “ You carry around your history records, but they mean nothing to you!” Ian states as he then picks up the metal object, “What if I took this to the city, and traded it to the Daleks huh? Perhaps they feel it valuable enough to exchange it for our fluid link?” The other Sows are now scared of Ians threat. Aladon calls Ian out on his bluff, stating that no one would stop them should he go. Ian then goes back to the heroes, “If I don’t get back the fluid link, then the four of us will die.” He then goes back to the Sows, “Perhaps the Daleks are more interested in people. They were holding the four of us captive,” Ian then grabs one of the women Sows, “I could bring them an alternative” he gestures with the female in his grasp. The other heroes look at each other in shock of Ians actions. Ian starts to walk away with the female in his grasp, but as he starts to head out, Aladon then stops him, grabbing his shoulder and clocking Ian in the jaw. “So there is something you will fight for,” Ian observes, rubbing his now sore jaw.

Back at the city, there is a Dalek spinning wildly, “Help cannot control, Help me, Help me!” sounds of fear coming from the tin can.

Emergency, emergency,” alerts the Dalek in the control room, “All daleks in section three are incapable of working” the other Daleks points out, “Section three, that was the first area to get the anti radiation drug the sows had brought” The Daleks then make an announcement to all that the distribution of the radiation drug is to be stopped immediately. The Daleks are in danger due to the lack of radiation and are dying. “The disease has reached us in here” one Dalek points out, “What are we to do, is this the end of the Daleks?” they continue to discuss how they need radiation to survive, “There is no other choice, we need to drop another neutron bomb.” States the Dalek.

Back in the forest, the Sows are sleeping. The female walks over to Aladon who is still awake. “Why are you not asleep? Are you angry with yourself for striking the young man?’ She asks. “No, I knew he was trying to make me do it. I still couldn’t stop myself” Aladon replies, ashamed. They continue to discuss on what is the better option. To fight and live or die without fighting. As the two are talking Barbara and another Sow are walking by and hear the discussion. Barbara then sits against a tree, the Sow sits next two her. “We always do as the leader asks.” He states. Barabara looks up at the sky and notices the bright colors; the other Sow informs her that the light is coming from the swamp, causing a glow in the moonlight. He then informs her that there is horror at the swamp, horrible mutations that have been bread and cross bread. “I wonder why the Daleks haven’t come an clean it out.” Barabra wonders, “Why should they, this is the perfect defense for the back of the city” State the Sow.

Back at the city, a Dalek enters the main control room, “Have the distribution of the anti radiation drug been stopped?’ asks the first Dalek to the one who had entered. “Yes, all distributions have been stopped, all the Daleks in sector 2 and3 have received it, and all Daleks in section 3 died.’ The other Dalek states. The first Dalek turns to the controls and calls over the intercoms, “All Daleks in section two are to be brought to the sonic chamber.” “ We will direct al the air polluted by radiation away from the nuclear reactor, into the sonic chamber.” The second Dalek states. They are figuring how to change the environment to suit the Daleks

Aladon asks, ‘If we do not help you, then what will you do?” “We will go to the city and get back out lost equipment.” Aladon figures that they should help the heroes, he now talks to the others, making a grand speech about how they need to help fight, and stand up to the Daleks, proving that they are not a force to be reckoned with. The other Sows are now with Aladon. The heroes and the Sows work together on a plan to get back in the city, they figure they may need to venture through the swamp, though this may be dangerous, this area is one where the Daleks are not on guard. The others are in agreement.

Back in the city, the Daleks are looking through the viewer, but unable to see exactly what is going on. They figure that the reasons for the difficulty are the radiation. They then wonder to another part of the control panel and look at the report coming out on paper. This shows that the Daleks in section two are recovering. “Then our position is clear, for us the drug is a poison” state the first Dalek, “Then, the radiation is still necessary to us.” States the second Dalek. “I want a complete survey on our supply of neuclear materials.” States the first Dalek “I want a complete estimate of the waist products form the nuclear reactors”

The swamp is dark, water looking thick and boiling. The Sows are walking through, “What makes us think that we will get through this time?” Asks the one Sow to the other “But we have to” states the other Sow” “Do you think the others will help if they find out what happened the first time? How we watched Amasis drag beneath the water, while you and I ran in terror…” Argues the first Sow, “That’s enough!” State the other Sow “I don’t want you upsetting the others, is that clear.” He demands, the other Sow states his understanding. Then walks away. Ian walks over to the first Sow, “The swamp will be very uncomfortable, and the ground is very uneven. We must be careful where we walk. I think it will be a wise plan to rest for a night” Ian agrees with this, they have been traveling for 4 hours and still have two and a half days to travel through the mountain to the city. Ian then decides he will give Barbara a hand. He walks over to her and helps her thought he trees. Ian informs her that they will be resting for now, since they still have a long journey ahead of them. Barbara agrees with this plan. They carefully walk through the swamp bubbling water. Barbara jumps back, spotting a creature. Ian kills the worm looking bug with a big stick, then they continue to the other Sows who are making camp. “Barbara, if you see to the food, I will get the fire going.” Barbara agrees, they figure that the fire may help keep some of the creatures away.

Ian is at the lake washing his face. They all hear a loud rawr, Ian looks up and realizes the sound is coming from the lake. He looks at a giant toad looking creature rising form the bubbling waters, the creatures eyes glowing white. Ian jumps up and runs back to the others. He informs the others there is a creature near by. They decide that one should stand watch while others sleep.

Morning has come and Aladon wakes Ian, there is something at the lake that is in need of observation. The three men are looking from a tree, “You are right, the Daleks do get their waters from the lake” “But how is this possible, they are not very mobile” states Aladon, “They must have made a path directly to the lake” states Ian. They figure they need to get to the path, and go around the lake, the lake is too dangerous to go through it.

Back at camp, Ian tells Barbara on how they found pipes in the lake.

There is another Sow off in the distance, he is gathering supplies near the lake… The waters bubble, and turn in to a giant whirl pool. The Sow yells in terror. The others hear his cries and jump to help. They run to the other Sow…..

Ella (Aimee Garcia) has managed to piece together the glass that killed Dean, and Lucifer calls to say that he thinks Eric Cooper is the killer, and Lucifer is right the prints come back on glass as Eric Cooper’s. Chloe meets Lucifer at the Cooper Building when Cooper’s body hurtles from the sky and onto the roof of a parked car. When Cooper wakes he said that his father ran the business into the ground and he wanted to sell the property off quick, but it was too late to make a difference in saving the company, hence why he took the plunge he also tells them that Eleanor Bloom is the buyer. Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) get’s a lawyer removed from a case so she can represent her new client, a bomb-making specialist. Eleanor Bloom is a savvy businesswoman, that wants everything that Dean Cooper once had, and then wants to destroy it, including Lucifer’s home and nightclub Lux. Bloom tells them that her accountants found some dodgy numbers, someone was hiding money. Charlotte shows up while Dan interrogates the bomb maker saying he is now her new client, there is a reason why, and it not out of the kindness of her heart, she wants to know if her new client can bring down a building. Lucifer arrives home as the movers are trying to pack up this piano, and he does what anyone would do in this situation, throw a protest party. Charlotte arrives and tells Amenadiel that she is there to blow up the building, Amenadiel is shocked, but there is a reason why she was kept in Hell all those years, she also tries to get information out of Dr Martin about Lucifer sessions.

lucifer-2-09-homewrecker-linda-and-mrs-god

Chloe interviews a private detective who had been receiving the hidden payments from Dean, he says he is the guy that people pay to find out who they can trust. The police arrive at lux and try to shut the party down, but Chloe steps in and says she will handle it and tells him to turn the music up, Charlotte realises why Lucifer wants to stay on earth when she sees Lucifer and Chloe dancing together. Maze finds Amenadiel watching Charlotte who appears to be waiting for someone, that someone is Dan! Dean Cooper hired the private detective to make it look like Christy was cheating on his son Eric, but nothing worked. Charlotte is clearly using Dan for information and will don anything to get that information, while Dan is still asleep Charlotte calls her bomb making client and asked for enough charge to kill one person, she is going to do the job herself. Eric and Christy both said they killed Dean Cooper and as long as they are together it won’t matter if they both go to jail. Dr Martin tells Lucifer she thinks that he came to LA to find something and that something appears to be Chloe, and he hasn’t shown her his true face because he is afraid she won’t accept him. Lucifer stands Chloe up, clearly Dr Martin’s words have touched a nerve, and as Chloe leaves the restaurant, Charlotte is in the ally holding the detonator to the bomb, that she has attached under Chloe’s car.

Gilmore Girls – A Year In the Life

gg-1

I have to say that I’ve had an internal debate going with myself for hours over what I was going to say in this review.  Because, my usual style is to tell it like it is seasoned with some spoilers, but if you’ve read my stuff before, you know that and go in prepared for same.  However, this is an epic deal.  Spoiling this for someone would make me the epitome of evil.  In fact, Webster would take the time and money to recall all of the new dictionaries just to put my picture by the word evil.  So, if you were hoping I was going to tell you those precious four words…. sorry.  You’re just going to have to watch 6 hours of yummy Stars Hollow goodness for yourself.

For almost a decade, the show’s creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has said that she always knew how she wanted to end the show … with four words.  She finally got that chance, thanks to Netflix.  And, as hard as it is to write a review and not include those four words, I’m going to.  Because, I don’t want to be “that person”…. the one that ruins it for you.

For months, I’ve waited with bated breath just like the other millions of fans of the show.  Waiting to see who Rory finally chose (I was #TeamDean… but never hardcore. I was on the fence between Dean and Logan.) and guessing what those four words were going to be, took up a lot of my time.  Lucy (my BFF that watches a lot of my favorite shows with me) and I spent a lot of time going over what those four words could be.  We had decided that they couldn’t be “Will you marry me?” from one of Rory’s perfect boyfriends because it would leave us all with an unanswered question.  And surely, Sherman-Palladino wouldn’t be that cruel to do that to us.  We tried out various phrases, and without giving anything away … we knew the topic … just not the exact four words.  We in no way saw it the way it went down though.  It was supposed to be an ending… not a whiskey tango foxtrot moment.  I was so pissed off.  I even tweeted to @GilmoreGirls (the official twitter of the show) … saying “Um.  Yeah.  I’m gonna need more.”

But, I’ve spent time in private reflection, and I’ve realized a few things.  First, this was always how Amy Sherman-Palladino intended to end the show.  So, whether I like it or not this is the end.  Kaput.  Finale.  A be a be a be, That’s all folks.  And, I can accept that.  I’m not one of those people that will complain and try to force a different ending out of her.  This was her story to tell, and she did a right fine job of it too.  Everyone came back to our favorite little fictional town in Connecticut…. well… almost everyone.  There was one glaring absence, but it was so not his fault, and he was there in every way that counted… every way that he could be.  Edward Herrmann (Richard Gilmore), you were missed… so very missed.  But, when it got to the tribute part in the final (Fall) episode… I cried.  I knew I would though, so I was prepared.

Next, we all know the rest of the story.  Sherman-Palladino doesn’t have to tell us the rest.  We KNOW it.  Rory is so much like her mother.  So. Very. Much.  The story has come full circle.  Any more of the story would look almost exactly the same, just with minor differences … so minor that they aren’t worth telling.  Rory will have her child (perhaps a girl to also be named Lorelai), and she’ll raise it on her own.  She’ll sacrifice her dreams to raise her daughter (yes, no matter what… in my mind it’s a girl) just like her mother did before her.  She’ll finish her book, and it will be a best seller … the profits from which will help support her and little Lorelai IV.  Okay.  So, I included some spoilers.  You still have to watch for the exact four words.  And, even though she spent most of the 6 hours telling everyone in Stars Hollow that she was NOT back…. she’ll raise her child there… and she’ll be the fourth generation of Gilmore Girls.  We know that she’s going to raise little Lorelai IV alone because of that seemingly random conversation with her father.  Christopher was never cut out to be father material… neither is Logan.  Because, yes… Logan is little Lorelai IV’s sperm donor.  It happened during that beautiful goodbye of a night with Logan and the Life and Death Brigade.  Because come on, we know the Wookie didn’t do it… that was way back  in the Spring and she’d have been showing big time by Fall.  But, no matter what you think of Logan, Rory learned something from him… just like she did from all of her boyfriends.  From Dean, she learned what safe was (her words), from Jess she learned how to be bad and a rebel.  Logan taught her that there was more to life than academics… that you couldn’t live your life with your nose in a book, you had to get out into the world and LIVE.  Logan was Rory’s Christopher.

As much as I would love to see a full fledged Gilmore Girls revival… I know how it will turn out.  So, I can just go re-watch the first 7 seasons, since it’s also on Netflix. (and yes, a binge is already being planned).  I think I’d name Lorelai IV’s love to hate friend at Chilton London though … instead of Paris.  It would be Lane instead of Sookie, and Jess instead of Luke.  That’s right, as bad as I hate to admit it… Rory will get her happy ending with Jess.  Sherman-Palladino even showed us that too… when Jess watched her through the window, just like Luke used to watch Lorelai when she left the diner.

This 6 hours is soooo worth watching…. I’ll have my warm and fuzzies for years to come.  Thank you, Amy Sherman-Palladino, I’ll treasure this early Christmas present always… or at least as long as it’s available to watch on Netflix.

Arthur Duvall wants to be a wizard in the next Fantastic Beast movie

And the ladies in the fan world have melted…..Arthur Duvall has put it out there that he would like to try his hand in the JK Rolling wizard world. But not just any wizard, Dumbledore!

“Absolutely, I’m up for it. Do you know what? I’ve made this pact with myself that when I hit a certain age; I’m only going to play wizards. I want to be that guy. So whether its 10 years down the line or when I grow a salt and pepper beard, I would be totally happy just playing wizards for the rest of my life. But yeah, if they came knocking saying ‘we really want you to play Dumbledore,’ I’d definitely consider it”

I think this is a wonderful idea. I sure hope to see him in the next fantastic beasts movie. Being that they announced that there would be 5 movies in total for the series, this could give Arthur plenty to do for some time in between or during sets of the LoT series. From our beloved companion to leader of heroes, and now possible wizard…. Goodness, what can’t Arthur do? ^_^

MacGyver SN1 E9 – Chisel

mac-chisel

I want to apologize for being so late with this review… I’ve had a crappy week.  However, I’m on the mend and refuse to stay down for long… kinda like Team Mac.

This episode, the Phoenix Team goes to a country I’ve never heard of to capture the leader of a group of terrorists that are on the rise, promising to be the next ISIS (or so Thornton assures them).  So, Mac, Jack and Riley go to extract Janis (who Jack calls everything from Yanni to Janet) but they hit a snag.  Of course, you knew that already because nothing is ever that easy for Team Mac.  Janis manages to send out a text blast to all of his terrorist friends in his phone before Mac captures him… so the cavalry is coming to save him before Team Mac can get to the airport (their extraction point).  They end up in a traffic stop where the terrorists are checking cars for Janis and end up on foot.  With some … well… MacGyvering, a cell phone (provided with much complaining on Jack’s part) and a makeshift hot air balloon becomes an eye in the sky to help them avoid the terrorists.

Eventually, their makeshift satellite gets too high and pops, and Mac and the gang make a mad dash for the American Embassy in this small (never heard of) country that is a low risk spot… so low risk that there’s only 4 marines to man the gate.  Thornton calls in some reinforcements for them, but they can’t arrive for SIX hours.  Mac must use his head to hold off a terrorist army for six whole hours with an embassy staff of civilians.  One guy tells Mac that his wife is 8 months pregnant and all he wants is to get home and see her again.  Mac promises him (and the rest of the staff) that if they’ll listen to him and do what he says, he’ll get them home to their loved ones.  They all look doubtful but promise to help do what they can.

I think the best MacGyvering done in this episode isn’t the “chisel and a matchbook” stuff he does, but the physics mathematical genius stuff he did on the whiteboad where he figured out exactly how many reams of paper it would take to stop the bullets the terrorist extremists were firing at them.

My favorite part of the episode is when Janis decides to try and talk Riley into letting him go.  This was when they showed us just how bad ass Riley really is.  Her response … so cool and cucumbery I almost made a salad…. “Oh, I get it.  You think I’m the weak link.”  Then she goes on to tell him that his friends aren’t trying to take over the embassy to save him, but to kill him.  She points out that he’s been in their custody long enough to give away a crap ton of secrets.  Of course, he says that he hasn’t… and Riley quickly points out, “I know that, and you know that… but they don’t know that.”  Calmly, she tells him that in prison he’s what they call a narc.  He puts on an air of stoic bravado, but you can see those wheels turning in his head.

Mac’s big save comes after a talk with Jack.  He decides the best way to defeat the bad guys is to invite them in.  Once almost all of the terrorists are inside the embassy, he traps them in a room while everyone escapes out the upstairs window.  Team Mac carjack the remaining bad guys and they all take off for the airport…. after that guy with pregnant wife thanks Mac for keeping his promise.

During this whole thing in Latvia (that’s the country I’ve never heard of), Thornton has been interrogating Bozer.  When Mac gets back to the Phoenix Foundation, Bozer is sitting in their conference room making a paper clip chain out of the big bowl of paper clips on the coffee table.  After a touching scene of forgiveness, Mac gets to offer Bozer a position at Phoenix.

There’s not a new episode this week, and the gang at CBS has decided to air the next two episodes out of their original order.  So, next week (on Dec. 2nd) we’ll see what was supposed to be episode 11, then episode 10 will air on December 9th.  I’d give you a look at next week’s new episode, but I can’t find the promo any where on line.  I really hope that’s not some sort of bad sign.

The Flash SN3 E7 – Killer Frost

Welcome back to your weekly recap of our favourite Central City speedster, Barry Allen, as he fights crime and other metahumans. Today’s episode is Episode 7 of Season 3, titled Killer Frost.

We rejoin the Flash as he’s dangled off the wall by Savitar, the god of speed. Joe shoots into Savitar’s back but Savitar doesn’t take the slightest damage. One of Savitar’s followers tries to jump Joe, but Joe easily knocks him out, firing at Alchemy who manages to escape. Savitar takes off with the Flash, running around the city and beating him up. At the docks they finally stop, Savitar holding his blade to the Flash’s throat once more. A portal opens nearby, thanks to Cisco’s vibing powers, and out come Caitlin and Cisco. With Cisco drained from opening the portal it’s up to Caitlin to save Barry. Using her powers she ices Savitar, saving Barry, and Savitar runs off.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs Caitlin runs tests on Barry and Cisco, concluding they’ll both be alright. Wally remains in the crystal cocoon, an anxious Joe watching him. Unable to shake a gut feeling, Joe leaves to interrogate one of Alchemy’s followers that he knocked out. Caitlin sneaks out, finding Joe at the police station and tricks him into believing that Wally is awake and waiting for him. He leaves hurriedly, but Caitlin remains behind, sneaking into the interrogation room where one of Alchemy’s followers sits cuffed. She freezes the camera and begins her interrogation of him. Unable to get much out of him, Caitlin leaves when two policemen hear the follower’s screams. Just when she’s about to escape, Julian interferes, so Caitlin abducts him taking him to a factory.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, the team realize that Caitlin is now mentally unstable because she had to use her powers. Barry and Cisco try to track her down, but its slow progress since Caitlin ditched her phone and Julian’s. Caitlin forces Julian to create an algorithm that will reveal Alchemy’s location, but Julian secretly messages his location to the CCPD. Angered by his actions, Caitlin is about to ice Julian, but the Flash shows up and tells her they can help her. The Flash knocks out an angry Julian, while Caitlin explains that the only person who can take away her powers is Alchemy. Knowing that Cisco can hear their conversation, she reveals that Barry’s creation of Flashpoint resulted in Dante’s death. The CCPD show up ready to shoot at Caitlin, but Barry moves her out of the way. She stabs him in the leg with an icicle, severing a muscle rendering him immobile while she escapes.

With Barry still healing, Crisco emotionally hurt, Caitlin on the loose and Wally in the cocoon, the team seems broken. Iris and Barry remain behind to watch over Wally, while Cisco, HR and Joe go on a stakeout for Caitlin. Caitlin shows up at one of Alchemy’s follower’s house, threatening him to reveal Alchemy’s location. Instead, the follower reveals that Savitar showed them the future and that Killer Frost has a powerful position in it. Cisco shows up outside, so Caitlin goes out to have a showdown. They  battle it out Vibe v. Killer Frost, until the Flash shows up. Together they knock Caitlin out and the team locks her up in S.T.A.R. Labs.

Suddenly there’s a surge of power into one room, where Wally’s cocoon is. Joe is trying to open the cocoon, desperate to save his son from whatever fate awaits him. Barry pushes everyone out the way just as the cocoon explodes, revealing Wally, the speed-force flowing through his veins. Confused, Wally runs off, leaving the team worried and amazed. Barry knows the only one who can help Wally is Caitlin. He goes to her prison alone and releases her. Barry tells her the only way she’s allowed to leave is if she kills him. Creating an ice dagger out of air, Caitlin raises it to his heart but can’t bring herself to kill Barry. Underneath the ice of Killer Frost, she is still Caitlin Snow. Realizing this, she gains back her sanity and manages to create a serum that will stabilize Wally’s condition.

Joe figures out that Wally is probably at his old childhood house so he and Barry head over. Joe talks to Wally as Barry injects him with Caitlin’s serum, stablizing Wally. With the team back together at S.T.A.R. Labs, they begin to run tests on Wally, who embraces his powers to the fullest, already eager to help the Flash. Joe gets a call from the CCPD that Julian is finally awake at the hospital. Barry promises to talk to Julian, so that he won’t reveal Caitlin was Killer Frost. Julian agrees to spare Caitlin from the police but only if Barry resigns from the CCPD, to which Barry agrees. Later when Julian is alone in the hospital room, we see him talking with Savitar, donning his Alchemy robes and mask.

Next week on The Flash

I’m hoping we can see Caitlin use her powers more without going full-on Killer Frost mode. Maybe she’ll help battle the aliens? Are you excited for the 4 show-crossover team up? The trailer looks amazing, it’s going to be one hell of a crossover. Until next time, “Run Barry, run!”

Scream Queens SN02 EP05 – ‘Chanel Pour Homme-icide’

Last episode left us not knowing the fate of Special Agent Denise Hemphill and Chanel No.5.

rsz_1rsz_scream-queens-logo

This episode opened and revealed the devastating news that Denise was in fact dead. Well breathing but brain-dead and stored away in a cryogenic chamber, so we can only hope she has a miraculous recovery, which is unrealistic, but this is scream queens after all. Chanel No.5 survives yet another attack on her life by the green meanie. Is she just lucky? Or could she be in cahoots’ with the green meanie? Like I’ve said before, she’s being constantly pushed and beat on by the other Chanel’s, maybe she has finally snapped and her being attacked is just a cover to stop suspicions on her.

Meanwhile, there is yet another Halloween Massacre and I must say this green meanie is a very busy dude. Anyway, this forces Munsch to report the killings to the police, surprisingly this leads to an influx in patients. In this case it seems to be true that ‘bad press is better than no press’. And with this influx of patients the Chanel’s decide to recruit more Chanel’s to use as their personal slaves and human shields from the green meanie.

We have to talk about the hospital’s new patient with an inconsistent accent, which also temporarily rubbed off on Dr Holt, Dr Cascade and Chanel No.3, who all needed to be applauded for their spot-on accents and how they fluently changed from one accent to another. This has to be the best thing I’ve seen, definitely the most memorable and hilarious moment yet from this show. Genius!

Billie Lourd as Chanel No.3, Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin, Abigail Breslin as Chanel No.3.

2 of the new Chanel’s were killed this episode, Tristan – the Chanel obsessed fan-fiction writer, and No.11 – the patient with 11 fingers. Seems the green meanie will cut through the newbies very quickly and with only 4 human shields left, it seems as though the Chanel’s will have to think of a different strategy to survive the green meanie.

Notable moments this episode:

  • Holt cured Chanel’s blue skin from the previous episode.
  • Our favourite pill-popping nurse is back! Nurse Hoffel returned with some of her best lines yet, as she continued to put the Chanel’s in their place and also blackmailed Musch when she tried to fire her.
  • Also, the Chanel’s enlisted the help of Hester which seems like an incredibly stupid x20 idea. But I guess it takes a killer to catch a killer.
  • Zayday suspects Chamberlain to be the hospital baby, you know the baby’s dad was left for dead by the doctors on Halloween night in the 80’s. Well at the end of the episode it was revealed the hospital baby is Dr Cascade, making him our number 1 choice for being the green meanie. However, this early reveal means he is probably not, I’m sure there are plenty more twists to come.

Questions we still need answered; Who is the green meanie? Are the green meanie and Hester working together? Does the green meanie have a partner? Maybe Chanel No.5? Will Zayday find a cure for Munsch? What is Dr Cascade’s agenda? Will Zayday realise who Cascade is? And who will be the green meanies next victim?

Comment and let us know your theories, do you think you know who the green meanie is?

‘Love In A Time Of Dick Pics’ Is A Thing

sony

Ya, you read that right, Love in a time of Dick Picks is a thing. It’s a movie that Sony is developing centered on society today and the fact that sexting is a part of our lives. But don’t think its like some sort of porn, “Its a romantic comedy about the illusion of choice and just how hard it is to find the right person in a sea of options that range from polite to lewd to nude.”

The idea of this movie is silly, which may be a bit sad to say that they are right on with society now a day. Online dating and hook-ups through text is the way of life. I am curious to see how this movie turns out and if the title will actually stay. ^_^
