Once Upon a Time SN6 E6 – Dark Waters

COLIN O'DONOGHUE

This week, we got the most fabulous thing we’ve seen in any OUAT episode ever … a WET Hook!  As you can see from the pic, it was pretty awesome…. man, Colin O’Donoghue is just beautiful.

Sorry.  I got a little off topic there.

In this episode, we got glimpses of what Hook was up to during “The Time of the Dark Curse”… He met Captain Nemo!  Well that, and had an adventure on board the Nautilus.  Oh yeah, he also met his younger brother, Liam 2.0 all grown up.  Remember, when Hook found his dad after he’d abandoned him and Liam 1.0?  Liam 1.0 had died, and Killian killed Papa Hook after finding out he had another son that he’d named Liam also.  Yeah, I know it’s confusing, but try to keep up.

So, anyway, Liam 2.0 grew up and became a member of Nemo’s crew.  Oh, and he’s carrying a reeeeealllly big grudge for the man who killed his father.  Yeah, I’m sure you see the problem here.  In present day Storybrooke, Liam 2.0 is now the captain of the Nautilus and is searching for Hook… he captures Killian and Henry who were at the docks together.  The Evil Queen was trying to drive a “pirate sized wedge” into the Charming family and showed Henry that Hook hadn’t disposed of the Shears of Destiny like Emma had asked.  So, Henry was at the docks trying to do what Killian had not; Hook shows up to try and explain things … and that’s when Liam 2.0 shows up and captures them both.

Long story short… Henry manages to save Killian and dispose of the shears proving that The Author is following in his mother’s footsteps and is just as big a hero as The Savior.

Emma has been having a nice long chat with Aladdin, and convinces him to listen to Jasmine and help Agrabah.  That’s how we find out that Agrabah is just gone.  It just disappeared while Jasmine was away from the city.

The Evil Queen gets a visit from Rumple and gets a reminder of the most important lesson he ever taught her… “Don’t take what’s mine,” he tells her ominously.  That’s when we learn that he was planning on getting the shears from Hook and using them on Belle and the baby.

This season may have started out slow… but it’s really picking up speed now.  Keeping up with all the twists and turns is becoming a full time job!

Here’s a peek at next week …

Agents of SHIELD SN4 EP04 -‘Let Me Stand Next To Your Fire’

Dire consequences bring Shield and Ghost Rider together as the supernatural mystery deepens.

agents-of-shield-season-4-episode-4-coulson

There’s a lot going on in Agents of Shield at the moment. Outside the supernatural elements that popping up everywhere, we’ve got the subplot with Aida, and the rise of the Watchdogs. With all this happening at once it would be easy for the show to feel overstuffed, but at this episode expertly proved, there’s a way to tell each of those stories in a meaningful way by weaving them into one another. It would have been easy to keep the Ghost Rider stuff separate from what was going on with the Watchdogs, but making everything intersect keeps each story flowing and adds the exciting dynamic of a constantly connected world, rather than everything coming to a structured head in a mid-season finale.

Still, something has to take the forefront of the drama, so the Watchdogs once again took centre stage this episode. They’re being built up as a legitimate threat that was clearly proven in the last episode, but this one saw them falter a bit. We got to hear a lot about how the Watchdogs have been killing Inhumans all over the world, but we haven’t really seen it. Sure there was the assault on Yo-Yo in the previous episode but that ended in failure for them. It’s hard to view the Watchdogs as such a huge threat if we don’t get to witness any evidence for ourselves that backs this notion up.

Whilst they may not have been at their most threatening this episode, the Watchdogs did have some help in the form of a fiery old foe. Turns out the extremely volatile James was hit just as hard by the loss of Hive as Daisy was, and has since taken a disdain to all Inhumans, including himself. It was a surprising direction to go with the story. Given James’s rebellious tendencies, it was easy to go along with the idea that he’d join Daisy in her quest for vengeance, so to throw a Hive related spanner in the works was an unexpected, but brilliant idea. It also gave us another insight into the Inhuman psyche. Since they were introduced, a common theme with the Inhumans has been identity and their search for a place in the world. For James that place clearly lay with Hive, so with him out of the picture he has no reason left to live. His attitude towards himself was another example of the writers subverting expectations. He wasn’t teaming with the Watchdogs to save himself, he was doing it to ensure that once they got round to finally killing him, he’d be the only one left. His was a truly unexpected story arc this episode, and one that I hope to see fleshed out in the future.

So as Simmons and Sky fell victim to James’s scheming ways, the opposite end of the episode saw Coulson and Mack team up with the Ghost Rider himself. Ever since Robbie was announced to be on the show, a chase scene between he in his car and Coulson in Lola was inevitable and highly anticipated. Luckily they didn’t disappoint, delivering a thrilling chase scene with Coulson coming out victor. It would have been fun to see some of Lola’s special features put to use, but given Robbie’s car isn’t quite so fancy the imbalance would have made the scene less exciting.

It was only a matter of time before Robbie came into full on contact with Shield, but it was surprising how quickly Coulson chose to trust him. With the world likely at stake due to the ghostly goings on, it wasn’t exactly the time to be picky, but the mutual trust between Robbie and Coulson was a surprising but welcome takeaway from the episode. The teamup between Robbie, Shield and by the end of the episode Daisy, is due to the mutual enemy they all have. The ghosts need fleshing out a lot more if they’re going to feel like any sort of tangible threat, but with events regarding the Watchdogs seemingly moving on, we’ll hopefully see more from them. In any case there’s now a mysterious book on the scene that everyone’s looking for, and I doubt it will be easy. HAVING SEEN Doctor Strange, it’s been established that there are some very dangerous books out there in the MCU, so expect this one to wreak havoc of some sort.

S.H.I.E.L.D Zephyr One Report Log_Events of Interest and Enquiry:

  • There’s still some clear scepticism regarding Robbie’s true origins abound, but with the upcoming origin story that’ll no doubt be cleared away. For now though it acts as a good source of humour.

  • There was also a lot of humour to be had in Fitz and Radcliffe’s attempts to shield Aida’s true identity from the rest of the group. Aida definitely felt a lot more human this episode, but it’s always fun when a character says one thing and everyone else misconstrues it as something else. A particular highlight was when answering May’s question about how she knows Mandarin, Aida replies “Most of me is Chinese.”

  • Whilst much of the time dedicated to Aida was in the realms of humour, there was a telling moment between her and Radcliffe. After explaining Fitz lied to save her, Aida has a distinctly sad look on her face. With the way the show has been subverting expectations so far this season, I don’t think she’s going to become a murder bot, but I think she’ll find humans aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

  • I continue to love how cold everyone is acting to Daisy. She doesn’t deserve any kind of forgiveness from them, and after seeing Mack and Fitz put her in place a couple episodes back, it was great to see Simmons and Coulson do the same here. It’ll take a lot for those relationships to be rebuilt, and it will be interesting to see how they go about doing so.

  • Simmons has a lot of secrets to hide now, having come a long way from the woman who could barely lie back in Season 1. Unfortunately, she has to take lie detector tests now and something tells me they’ll be hard to pass.

Agents of Shield’s 4th episode of Season 4 saw characters and storylines start to converge. Daisy and Robbie are no longer doing their own thing, and whilst Robbie is currently going along with Shield, it’s a strained relationship that isn’t likely to last. After a couple episodes building up the Watchdogs as a formidable threat with varying degrees of success, the attention seems to be turning back to the supernatural now, with a storyline that has a long way to go to prove itself. With characters clashing and storylines merging, Agents of Shield is heading into some exciting, but mysterious territory.

The Flash SN3 E5 – Monster

Welcome back to your weekly recap of our favourite Central City speedster, Barry Allen, as he fights crime and other metahumans. Today’s episode is Episode 5 of Season 3, titled Monster.

Barry, having finally moved out of Joe’s house, prepares breakfast for Cisco. A grumpy Cisco who, although he loves the breakfast treatment, needs some space from the constant Flash experience. While they sit down in Cisco’s apartment munching away on breakfast, they discuss their opinion of the new Wells recruit and their uncertainty about his fit with the team.

In the meantime, Caitlin leaves for a couple of days to visit her mom, Dr. Tannhauser, who works as a biomedical researcher in a lab. Caitlin asks about a recent paper her mom published, about a certain branch of biomedical science. However, her mom continues to act distracted, until Caitlin reveals with a burst of ice that she needs her help.

Back in Star City, the new Wells recruit is trying desperately to impress Team Flash. Brewing coffee for every member of the team, he tries to suggest that team building exercises would help them all get to know him better. Cisco disagrees, telling Wells to take a back seat and observe for the time being. The team splits up for the day once they receive Caitlin’s message that she’ll be out-of-town for a few days.

Barry speeds off for work, but ends up called into the Captain’s office because surprise-surprise: Julian has reported him, for not one or two, but NINE work violations. Uh oh Barry. Barry apologizes and is let off with a warning from the Captain. Cisco calls Barry to tell him there’s something going down downtown, but all the traffic cams aren’t working.

Barry speeds down to the scene to see a giant monster like something out of Pacific Rim, minus all the glowing limbs. Barry tries, and fails, to explain what the monster is to Cisco. The monsters flails around wrecking havoc, causing a bus crash nearby, which Iris and Barry both go to the rescue of. Finally managing to open the doors, freeing the people inside. However, when Barry turns back to the monster it vanishes without a trace. Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Team Flash tries to figure out how to stop the monster. Wells suggests using carbon-fibre ropes to tie the monster up. Barry also mentions that a nearby transformer blew up without the monster even touching it, but the team is at a loss as to how.

While Dr. Tannhauser runs tests in the hopes that she can find out the sources of Caitlin’s powers, she ends up treating her daughter like a test subject. Caitlin grows colder and colder as the day progresses, bringing up old wounds about the passing of her dad, leading into an emotional fight between them. Caitlin ends up revealing that her beloved husband died last year, so she knows how her mom felt.

Barry talks to Julian about shadowing his work for the day in the hopes of improving his own, but really he just wants to create a working relationship with Julian. Julian allows him to, in exchange for moving out of the lab, to which Barry agrees. Barry and Julian investigate the scene of the monster, noticing a pattern, when suddenly the monster reappears. Barry manages to save Julian’s life just as the duo are about to be fried. The monster disappears yet again.

Caitlin decides to leave, but her mom’s assistant Nigel locks her inside the room. Once threatened, Caitlin’s inner killer frost is challenged and she freezes Nigel’s arm. Her mom bursts into the room and manages to talk Caitlin down from becoming a killer, telling her to leave and she’ll take care of Nigel.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry and Cisco discover that Wells is just repeating their suggestions and acting sketchy. They investigate and find a recording pen which Wells reveals is because he’s writing a novel about his adventures. The Team still thinks something about him is off, so they confront him again only to realise that Wells is a con-artist.

Caitlin returns to S.T.A.R. Labs just as the monster makes another appearance. Barry speeds off to create a carbon-fibre rope that will trip the monster over, but when the monster walks right through it the team realises the monster is actually only a projection. The Task Force assigned to the monster begins to shred it with bullets, only to be stopped by the Flash who warns them it’s only a projection. Julian having narrowed down the area from which the monster could be controlled, approaches the mastermind. He fires his gun but the mastermind is saved by the Flash, who reveals to Julian that it’s only a kid. The kid explains to Joe that he is bullied at school and only wanted to make people fear him, to feel powerful. Joe reprimands the boy, but tells him that he can change his life around.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Wells explains to the team that he’s just the idea man from the Earth he comes from. He acted as the face of the company, until everything fell apart, or rather, the public discovered he was a fraud. Despite his lack of scientific skill, he explains that he can help the team since he helped fight the metas from his earth. They agree to let him stay, as he wants his shot at redemption, and Team Flash is all about redemption.

Barry and Julian bond after Julian admits that he nearly killed a kid, who was being bullied. He also admits that he grew up as the odd child of the family, a very wealthy family from England (hello Malfoys). He didn’t want to be like the rest of his family so he came here to become the best scientist he could possibly be, but now he feels powerless because of the metahumans. Barry then invites him out for a drink, which Julian accepts. Finaaaaally.

Caitlin’s mom sends her a message that sounds like a parent-child talk about puberty, but is actually about Caitlin’s body changing the more she uses her powers. Caitlin then turns the computer into a Popsicle, because controlling her powers ain’t exactly easy.

Next week on The Flash

I found it quite interesting that the producers were going through a non-metahuman episode. It was rather refreshing to see the Flash trying to figure out a more human crime. I’m glad we’ve gotten to know the new Wells and Julian better. What did you think of Monster? Comment below, or tweet me @SohoDoll. And as always, “Run Barry, run!”

Doctor Strange Takes $86 Million in Overseas Opening Weekend

Doctor Strange doesn’t open in America until Friday 4th November, however after rave reviews from the critics, Benedict Cumberbatch‘s debut in the Marvel Universe took in a small fortune with the overseas market. The film opened in 33 territories, including the UK, parts of Europe, Mexico, Hong Kong and Korea, taking an amazing $86 million. Unsurprisingly, it was the top grossing film in nearly all markets.

The film, that has been praised for its breathtaking visuals, did particularly well with the IMAX market. Many fans have recommended fans see the movie in IMAX or 4D to get the full impact of the special effects (shout out to the good folks at The Geek Asylum Facebook group who were awesome at sharing their reviews with me on this subject!).

The film will be opening across more big markets across the week; as well as the US, the Doctor will be in for audiences in China, Brazil, Japan and Russia. If it does as well i those areas, it will be one of the biggest successes Marvel has had. Disney has commented that even prior to the American release, Doctor Strange has opened ahead of Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Not a bad performance for a lesser known character.

Doctor Strange tells the origin story of talented-but-arrogant surgeon Stephen Strange, whose life is changed following an accident. He goes on a journey to heal himself, and unlocks his magical potential. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Tilda Swinton (We Need To Talk About Kevin), Mads Mikkelson (Hannibal) and Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls).

Doctor Strange is in UK cinemas now and will be released in the USA on 4th November

Simpsons Executive Producer James L Brooks Teases A Simpsons Movie Sequel, But What Should The Plot Be?

the-simpsons_704

Could Spider-Pig soon be returning to the big screen?

Well, it certainly looks like it.

The Simpsons executive producer James L Brooks has teased the possibility of a Simpsons Movie sequel. Speaking to online news site LRM, he teased “Fox very much wants us to do another one, and maybe we will and maybe we won’t – that’s where it is. How do we divide our labours, and do we believe in the idea we have? We may go into a more active exploration of a second movie soon…”

But what should the plot of The Simpsons Movie 2 be? Here are a few ideas I’d like to see on the big screen.

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Movie

tumblr_m69xyz8cv31rtr3kno1_500

You might be wondering why there’s a picture of the Marge robot from the season 13 clip show Gump Roast under the heading ‘Treehouse of Horror‘. Well, that’s because I want to see a Treehouse of Horror Simpsons Movie 2 where Marge becomes a robot. I know this was done in a fantasy sequence in The Heartbroke Kid but I want to see a feature-length version of the idea. Obviously the Treehouse of Horror ‘three stories in one episode’ approach wouldn’t work in a movie, so it would make sense for the focus to be narrowed down on one idea – and the Robot Marge storyline would have plenty of potential. Let’s explore further the idea of Marge becoming a Terminator-esque robot. What if she has to assassinate her own family? Imagine Bart and Lisa running for their lives from their own robot mother. It would be hugely exciting to see and give the writers plenty of ways to parody the Terminator series (which at this point has pretty much become a self-parody of itself).

Sideshow Bob Becomes U.S. President

bob-roberts

How much worse can it get than your entire neighbourhood turning being against you?

The entire country, of course.

And who hates The Simpsons more than anyone else?

Sideshow Bob.

So what if Sideshow Bob became president of the United States? In a world where Donald Trump could become U.S. president, this is a very real, very scary and very topical prospect.  The Simpsons is at its best when it’s topical and placing Sideshow Bob in charge of America would create extreme amounts of danger and peril for The Simpsons family. Just imagine a world where the guy who wants to kill you is suddenly voted democratically into the world’s most powerful job role. Sideshow Bob would no longer have to rely on himself to kill Bart; now he’d have the entire army at his disposal.

Hank Scorpio Returns

hank-scorpio

Who doesn’t want to see Hank Scorpio return? He is an amazing parody of James Bond villains and it’s a travesty the character has only been featured in the series once. A Simpsons Movie 2 could change that. My proposed Scorpio return plot would see Hank team up with Mr Burns on a nuclear weapons project, where the pair scheme to nuke Springfield from the face of the Earth.

The only other person who knows about this plan?

Homer Simpson. And after the environmental problems he caused in the previous film, the other Springfielders (including his own family) don’t believe him.

Nuclear weapons is a major concern at the moment, so to make it a big threat in the next Simpsons Movie would (as with my previous point) help to make the film topical.

Simpsons v Flintstones: Dawn of Bedrock

maxresdefault

Crossovers are all the rage at the moment, with the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe showing no signs of slowing down and DC throwing their two most popular superheroes together in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. So why not see the two most iconic animated families meet in a feature-length adventure?

I’d love to see what happens when Homer Simpson meets Fred Flintstone – and a Marge and Wilma friendship would be interesting. The easy option would be for the Flintstones to end up in the present day due to a time travel mechanic, however I’d like to see a time travel experiment by Professor Frink accidentally send the Simpsons back in time to before Bedrock even existed. Essentially this would be a prequel to The Flintstones and a standalone sequel to The Simpsons Movie. Lisa’s reaction to the way prehistoric animals are used in place of modern technology would be fun and there could be some entertaining parallels presented between Homer and Fred. Both clearly have anger management issues. Essentially however the story would be The Simpsons trying to find a way to return to their own time and accept the possibility that they may never be able to return to the modern day. It could be quite a moving story if done right, with plenty of opportunities for witty observations.

Spider-Pig Gains Superpowers

hqdefault

A big part of The Simpsons Movie’s success was Spider-Pig, so why not have a sequel that capitalises on that? I want to see Spider-Pig actually become Spider-Pig. I want to see what happens when a pig is bitten by a radioactive spider. Does he decide to save the very people who eat his kind for Sunday dinner? Or does he turn to the dark side and go on a human killing spree? And if he does go dark, would the Simpsons family be able to stop him?

Superheroes are a big thing at the moment so don’t be surprised if they decide to go down that path. However with The Incredibles 2 and The LEGO Batman Movie both set for release, would it really be wise for Twentieth Century Fox to copy what other animated features are doing?

Those are my ideas for The Simpsons Movie 2, but what would you like to see in a proposed sequel? Let me know in the comments below.

The Expanse: S1 Ep 9 Critical Mass

Whew! This season’s almost over! If you’ve been following me on the journey, you’ll notice that I moved as slowly as the show did. That’s a joke, so I hope you chuckled. Anyway, I’ll be finishing this just in time for y’all to get excited for Season 2 of SyFy’s most popular TV series.

If you’re watching On-Demand,  Ep 9 and Ep 10 are usually bundled into one long episode because the events flow together but for y’all, I’ll break it into two separate posts to keep things uniform.

Catching up…

S1 Ep 8 was called “Salvage.” In that episode, we had the deeply satisfying meeting of Miller, Holden, and the rest of Holden’s team on Eros Station. Chaos ensues as Miller helps Holden fend off a U.N. kill squad. It’s all topped off when our two main characters finally find Julie Mao.

Now, let’s tie Season 1 all up. Flashback to…

… the events that led Julie Mao to the hotel on Eros. We finally get some background and we, as an audience, can start to piece the clues together.

We’re taken back to Miller discussing his theories about Julie Mao’s disappearance and why The Canterbury and The Donnager were blown up with Olivia. This was the point that he realized Julie was part of something big.

(If you’re confused on which ship is which in the series, click here for a refresher)

We’re then further taken back 7 weeks to onboard The Scopuli with Julie Mao. The entire crew is made up of Belters and they’re planning to high-jack a cargo ship when the stealth ship, The Anubis, suddenly appears. The Anubis’ crew violently boards The Scopuli and kills everyone except Julie Mao. At a critical moment, we also overhear The Anubis crew say they’ve planted a homing beacon on The Scopuli to draw The Canterbury to it. We now know the destruction of The Canterbury was part of their mysterious plan.

damn-she-was-hot

Julie is kept in a cell. She’s able to send a distress signal using her code name: Lionel PolanskiWe also learn that she was on The Anubis when it attacked and destroyed The Canterbury way back in Episode 1.

After much time, Julie escapes her cell to find the ship is deserted and sees signs of a struggle. After further exploration, Julie is terrified to find the same creature is at The Anubis’ core reactor. It’s this creature that Holden and Naomi came across. But when Julie finds it, we’re led to believe she sees it in all its horror.

She retreats to The Anubis’ control room where she quickly records a message for Anderson Dawes explaining why she’s on The Anubis and what she’s found. It’s this message we later see Fred Johnson unscramble and listen to.

After sending the message Julie Mao hides The Anubis on the abandoned asteroid where Holden and crew later find it.

The flashback ends with Miller receiving the call from Inspector Semi, his friend on Eros Station, letting him know there’s a shuttle from The Anubis there.

From there, we follow Julie Mao’s arrival and retreat to her hiding place in the hotel. We also watch her health deteriorate and see her finally curl up to die in the spot where Holden and Miller find her.

Back to The Expanse timeline, sort of…

From here, the show takes on an almost ‘Game of Thrones’ feel as we jump from scene to scene and setting to setting in order to tell the full story with all of the events happening at the same time. Try to keep up…

We’re zapped back to the present Miller’s and Holden’s reaction to finally finding Julie Mao.

They realize they need to leave quickly. As they get to the hotel lobby, they find Semi waiting for them. Semi can see Miller is stunned and want’s to know what’s going on. He tells them to get away while he handles things with the soon to arrive authorities. As they leave, they cross paths with a new crew of characters who ask to be shown to Julie Mao’s room. They say they’re from an organization called CPM. Semi has no idea who they are. They’re certainly not affiliated with any Eros authorities.

The CPM crew rushes to Julie’s room and quickly begins to conduct tests and take samples from her dead body. As we watch, we can see that whatever the crystalline substance on her body is, it’s important. As the scene ends, we see the lead scientist calling Julie Mao’s father. He tells him that he can take comfort in the fact that he was able to obtain a large sample of the “proto-molecule.” We now know Julie’s father knows what’s going on and is in on whatever cover-up is going on.

Meanwhile…

Outside the hotel, the crew is trying to figure out what to do next. They still don’t know whether they can trust Miller. They finally are able to pause in a dark alley where they try to figure out why they’re all looking for the same person.

While they recuperate, they feel a small quake followed by an announcement saying Eros Station has experienced a radiation breach. They learn a ship has blown up on the docks, trapping them on Eros. The crowds on the streets are ordered to immediately retreat to the Eros radiation shelters.

Miller. Holden.

As they watch, Miller and Holden notice something strange. The crowds are being violently corralled into the shelters. Suddenly, Miller spots the CPM scientist he saw entering the hotel. He decides to investigate. Holden runs off with him and we finally get to see what the dynamic between the two will be.

As they follow the scientist, Miller captures one of the guards escorting him and “questions” him. Holden doesn’t approve of Miller’s tactics but they find out the scientist’s name is Dresden.

They decide they want to see why the citizens are being shoved into the radiation shelters. They act like two of CPM’s guards to get past security and enter the nearest shelter. As they get in, they’re shocked at what they see. The citizens are actually being dosed with radiation. CPM has reversed the shelters.

And now Miller and Holden have been dosed, too.

radiation-shelter-shock

Naomi. Alex. Amos.

Since Miller and Holden have run off on their own, Naomi, Alex, and Amos decide to head to The Rocinante so they can figure out an escape from Eros Station. They find the docks are heavily guarded. No one is being let in or out which is strange. Naomi figures out the ship being blow up on the docks wasn’t an accident, but a set-up. Outside the docks, the crowds start getting angry that they’re not being allowed to pass. Semi arrives just as the guards open fire on the crowds and orders them to stand down, to no avail.

Tycho Station and Fred Johnson.

While the chaos on Eros escalates, we learn Fred Johnson is recording an incendiary speech denying his involvement in the attacks on The Donnager. He lets the galaxy know that the Earth U.N. has sent troops to have him arrested, but he can show proof that he had nothing to do with the incident. He finishes by ominously warning of impending war, and that he believes the stealth ships behind the attacks were in fact built on Earth.

Earth. The United Nations. Avarasala.

On Earth, Avarasala has gone to her friend Frank’s (the Mars ambassador the killed himself) house under the pretenses of paying her respects to him and his widower. While she’s left alone for a moment, she quickly searches his desk, taking some of his personal files as she leaves.

As she flies home, she opens the files and is shocked to find blueprints and plans for the stealth gunships that destroyed The Donnager and The Canterbury.

Was Fred Johnson right after all?

Big Bang Theory S10 E6 ‘The Fetal Kick Catalyst’

Penny has been asked to go to a convention to sign autographs for Serial Apist. Leonard is at first  down on this because the convention is dinky but he of course changes his mind. Amy wants to have guests over and Sheldon needs to know what kind of event she wants to throw. He destroys her thoughts as usual.

Cuddling his wife Howard feels the baby kick. He suddenly freaks out because they aren’t ready for a baby. Amy comes in and sees Sheldon has prepped a party with an odd group of people as a trial run.

Howard and Raj come in after shopping for baby stuff. Bernadette is upset that Howard went shopping and even has a minivan for 24 hours.

Leonard and Penny are at the convention when a man comes to talk to Penny. He tells her that her movie was awful and so was her acting, but that he loves it. Suffice it to say Penny is both flattered and hurt as anyone would be.

Sheldon is having trouble hosting because he is afraid of opening a bottle of champagne. I like seeing Sheldon out of his element, he really has grown over these seasons.

Penny’s fans are shocked that Leonard is married to her. I mean I’d probably be shocked too.

Howard shows off the minivan to Bernadette. When he tries to pull the crib out he pulls his back. She drives him to the hospital and decides to buy the van because it is the best for the baby and her.

Leonard becomes a focal point when he tells them how he won over Penny. Of course Penny lets him have his moment because she loves him.

Stuart is upset that no one really tries to hang out with him and starts leaving the party. Sheldon feels bad and tells him that he truly is one of the best people he knows.Sheldon and Stuart get drunk together and are best friends.

The Odd Couple S3 E2 ‘Food Fight’

Oscar is having lunch with his assistant Dani and manager. Felix walks in with his girlfriend  happy to have her back. The owner of the restaurant played by Fred Willard, says he might be forced to close the restaurant. Oscar goes to ask for a loan and is rebuffed, so he asks Felix for help. Felix is on board, but he wants to fix up the place his way of course. This won’t go badly, right?

Felix has invited his foody friends to his new bar, and has really changed things up. The Bar is packed to the gills and Felix is super excited. Oscar goes to sit down and finds his booth is taken over. The bar has lost all of its gritty charm and Oscar leads his friends out of the restaurant.

Felix comes home and sees that the place is packed with customers who hate what Felix did to the bar. Felix storms off after Oscar yells at him. Felix attempts to compromise with Oscar who messes it up. Dani suggests Oscar should fix things and he is rebuffed by Felix.

Felix comes in to work trying to make things perfect. The owner comes in and is livid, they lost money and it is all Felix’s fault. When Felix comes home they both attempt to do the big gesture of giving up their respective restaurants.  Oscar’s friends come over and his “bar” gets one final night.

Oscar and his friends are back at the bar enjoying the fries. The oil used may be suspect but the fries are good and that is all that matters. This episode was a nice one, and I’m glad that the guys were able to work things out.

Life in Piece S2 E1 Moving In, Moving Out, Pill, Baby Shower

Moving In: The first story of this season has Heather and Tim’s son Tyler and his girlfriend Clementine aiming to move in together. The parents have a meeting to stop their son from getting married. They go back to the his girlfriends house and finds they didn’t go there. His girlfriends family is certainly not normal per-say.

Going to see her Mother Joan she finds her son living there. His mother finally accepts his marriage and them living together under their roof.

Moving Out: The brother Matt is moving in with his girlfriend Colleen after moving out of his parents garage. Her old roommate is a monstrous woman who is ruining their life. Her masculine female roommate wants to wrestle him or she won’t move out.

Of course for comedies sake she beats him soundly. It is rather humorous seeing such a beast of a woman take down the scrawny yet strong willed Matt.

Pill: The dad is in the hospital suffering from the prolonged effect of Viagra. Their daughter calls and soon brings the family in to find out what is wrong. Of course they are all shocked and the men feel down about it. The dad finds out his wife has been crushing up Viagra in his smoothie every morning. Humorously he finds his life to just be a lie.

Baby Shower: Jenn is heading to her baby shower with Greg and their baby Lark when she has to change her clothes. Jenn has no idea that they are throwing her a baby shower since Greg told them accidentally. They all just want to celebrate her new baby so this will be hard for them to hide their joy.

They all act awkwardly as they usually are allowed to show their support for big events. John is drinking even though he is on drugs from the hospital. In trying to help change the baby the youngest child Sophia hands her a baby shower present. After a touching moment with her Greg’s mom she is finally okay with the baby shower. Of course it is best that she let them celebrate her baby.

A good first episode of the second season. This show is really something great because the family is so real even if the events that occur are quite zany. I love watching this show and seeing how things play out. Here’s hoping the rest of the season is just as good!
