Bob’s Burgers S7 E2 ‘Sea Me Now’

The kid’s are playing what is it?

Teddy comes in to offer to take them on a boat trip. Tina takes the eraser from the restaurant to show she is responsible

Teddy wanted to take them along to go see his ex wife. Teddy had been fixing this boat up to impress his ex wife who divorced him and is dating a boat guy. Teddy wants nothing more then to make her love him again.

The first time she passes by she ignores them and then the second time. Teddy is clearly a little too crazy about this woman who divorced him. They crash when she finally notices them. He gets his boat stuck and when tries to pull back he crashes again.

He pulls away and they soon find their boat is sinking. He shoots their only flare into the ocean, how are they going to get out of this situation. Teddy sees an island is not to far away and they head there soon crashing into rocks and walking onto shore.

They soon find themselves faced with a herd of wild cows and split up. Tina, Teddy, and Linda on one side and Gene, Louise, and Bob on the other. Teddy’s team roleplay his reunion with his ex wife as Bob gets left in the dust by Gene and Louise. They find a rickety bridge before them when they join together and Teddy decides to be the first to cross it.

They cross the bridge and Tina soon falls through a board. Bob tells her to drop the eraser and she can have a phone. They cross the bridge and find themselves faced with a crazy man with a weed-whacker.

Through a story they help Teddy give up on Denise and soon get a tow back to shore. Tina decides she doesn’t want a phone yet. The kids ban Bob from technology. Teddy shoots a flare and sinks his boat, not realizing all their stuff is on it.

He then sings “Beyond the Sea” a classic Bobby Darin song. A great ending to a nice episode of Bob’s Burgers I’d say.

The Simpsons S28 E3 ‘The Town’

Marge is passing out pies and gives Homer his pot pie last. Homer quickly drives to the bar to watch the football game. At the bar are a bunch of Boston fans who Homer and his friends despise. The Boston team’s mascot scores a touch down illegally because Boston’s team cheats.

Homer goes downstairs the next morning to see Bart wearing a Boston hat which infuriates him. When he picks up Bart he shows him the town and why he should love the Springfield Atoms.

Bart puts a Boston sticker on his car and leaves. Homer sees everything as Boston themed and decides to take a hate-cation to Boston.

Mayor Quimby is from this area and they show a town filled just by different quimbys.

Playing candle-pin Bowling Homer is bowled over by Boston and now loves it. In a nice moment they all play candle-pin bowling. After this the Simpsons decide to live ther permanently, and now live in an apartment.

Homer begins working at the Necko Wafer Factory as the safety inspector. He pours liquid sugar on the employees below. Lisa loves school and Bart doesn’t just because when he causes trouble he is forced to go to Acapella club. In a nightmare sequence he sees all of the intelligence that flows through the city.

Bart ends up in South Boston, but he can’t find what he wants there either. He takes the family to a Boston parade and Homer’s love of Boston begins to crack. They soon leave after Homer calls out the city on cheating.

They move home and everyone is happy except Lisa. Lisa has had a breakdown of sorts and imagines she is still in Boston. Quite the episode, and a pretty good take on the city of Boston. I really did enjoy it.

James Gunn Promises Strong Female Characters for Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2

In 2014, when Guardians of the Galaxy was released, it was noticeable that one of the five main characters was frequently omitted from the merchandise. Gamora. Zoe Saldana’s green-skinned, ass-kicking leading lady was often absent from the tshirts and toys marketed to fans of the film. In fact, delightful talking tree Groot was considered to be more relatable to the young boys being targeted by the advertisers than the human-shaped lady character. However, in the film itself, the female characters are fantastic. Nebula was a break-out success, and hopefully the crazy talented Karen Gillan will be featured more in vol 2. Gamora was portrayed as intelligent and independent. I don’t want to imply in any way that GotG is a feminist manifesto, but for context, I just want to set the first film perhaps has a worse reputation for its treatment of women than it deserves…

Writer/director/all-round dude James Gunn took to social media on Tuesday – not just because it was a day ending in a y, but because it was International Day of the Girl. He wrote an excellent, well thought out piece about his feelings about female representation in the media. “I’m sick of the stories where there are a bunch of fully realised male characters and one female character, whose primary characteristic is simply being ‘the girl’ or the personality-less object of some man’s affections.” Gunn wrote. “I can’t wait for you all to see Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2, with Gamora, Nebula, and Mantis in action, where we will not only pass the Bechdel test, but run over it and back up over it again and again in an eighteen-wheeler truck, and where their stories and the men’s stories don’t come at the expense of each other, but are interwoven in a way to strengthen and optimize all of them.”

The post was well received by the majority of fans, some commenting how much they enjoyed his writing of other female characters, such as Ellen Page’s role in Super. Other fans didn’t seem so keen, raising a ‘what about the boys?’ argument, which Gunn hit back at. Of course, there were a few comments from people asking about when the trailer is coming out (yawn!) which Gunn didn’t dignify with a response. I’m sure someone directed them to the pinned post at the top of his Facebook page…

Four LEGO Ideas Sets You Must Own

1634682-o_1945khltg1ofqmcgpfj7occvp7-full

You may not have heard of LEGO Ideas but it is a site has been behind some of LEGO’s most successful sets over the last few years. LEGO Ideas is basically a website that allows users to submit their ideas for LEGO sets; each set must reach a maximum of 10,000 supporters to be considered for release by LEGO…and recently Savath_Bunny’s amazing Agents of SHIELD set did just that, so I thought I’d share with you four of my favourite LEGO Ideas sets.

Doctor Who: The 12th Doctor’s TARDIS

dr-who-lego

Minifigures: The 11th Doctor, The 12th Doctor, Clara Oswald, Weeping Angels

Build: TARDIS (Interior, exterior), Daleks

Price: £42.99

This without a doubt has to be my favourite LEGO Ideas set so far. It’s a very accurate recreation of the 12th Doctor’s TARDIS in LEGO and features a nice mixture of minifigures including not just one Doctor, but TWO. The Dalek mini-builds may not work quite as well as the LEGO Dimensions Dalek (the flappy bit at the front is weird) but it’s passable. Possibly the most fun thing about this set though is that it means you can have Batman and Donald Duck in the 12th Doctor’s TARDIS console room. Just make sure you don’t confuse the polarity of the neutron flow.

Back To The Future Delorean

maxresdefault2

Minifigures: Marty McFlyDoc Brown

Build: Delorean

Price: £149.99

“Wait a minute, wait a minute, Doc…you built a time machine…out of a Delorean…out of LEGO?!?”

That’s inevitably what Marty McFly probably said to his fellow minifigure Doc Brown in the LEGO universe. This LEGO version of the iconic Delorean is impressively accurate to its appearance in the film and comes as a three-in-one build, meaning you can rebuild it as it appeared in Back To The Future Part 2 and Back To The Future Part 3, as well as its main look from Back To The Future Part 1. Whilst it’s disappointing that Marty Mcfly doesn’t come with his hoverboard from Part 2, the minfigures look great – even if Doc Brown’s hair piece from the Dimensions Fun Pack works better.

Ghostbusters Ecto-1

lego-ghostbusters-ecto-1

Minifigures: Peter Venkman, Egon SpenglerRay StantzWinston Zeddemore

Build: Ecto-1Ghost TrapProton Packs

Price: £42.95

The Ecto-1 is perhaps one of the most famous movie cars of all time – and being able to build it in LEGO is a lot of fun. The Ecto-1 set accurately recreates its look from the first Ghostbusters movie and comes with a neat buildable stand for the four Ghostbusters. The Ideas Peter Venkman arguably looks more like Bill Murray than the LEGO Dimensions figure, with a more fitting hair piece. Egon Spengler is perhaps the most impressive minfigure of the bunch though; LEGO picked the perfect hair for him in this set. And, of course, each minfigure  is carrying an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back: the Proton Packs, which look incredible in LEGO.

The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine

fbs4tfccp5vb4yrfo5vw

Minifigures: Paul McCartneyJohn LennonRingo StarrGeorge HarrisonJeremy

Build: Yellow Submarine

Price: £49.99

All together now! We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine…

This set is based on the 1968 animated fantasy film Yellow Submarine and will be released on 1st November 2016. Some may be disappointed that it features minifigures based on the Beatles’ animated look from the film but personally I think it makes for a more interesting set of minifigures than if they had based it on their ‘real life’ appearance. The Yellow Submarine itself is possibly one of the most beautiful builds LEGO have produced and the inclusion of ‘nowhere man’ Jeremy is an interesting choice. It’s also worth noting how each of the Beatles are holding their souvenirs from the live-action scene at the end of the movie; John’s got the submarine’s telescope, Paul’s got a little ‘love’, George has the motor that Jeremy fixes, and Ringo’s got a hole in his pocket.

So those are my top four favourite LEGO Ideas sets. Do you agree with my list? Let me know in the comments below.

All prices are taken from Amazon UK as of Saturday 15th October 2016. The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine price comes from the press release for the set.

J.K. Rowling Confirms “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” Will Be a Five Movie Series

fantastic-beast-logo2

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the magical and wildly anticipated beginning of a new series of movies in the Harry Potter franchise. Based on the book with the name name by J.K. Rowling, the movie will follow Newt Scamander in New York, 1926 to research and rescue magical creatures, keeping them safe in his enchanted leather briefcase. However, disaster strikes when some of the beasts are let free – and Newt and his new-found companions must gather them back before they wreak havoc in a city already on the edge.

On 13th October 2016, the Fantastic Beasts Global Event took place in Leicester Square, London, where the stars, the director, and even J.K. Rowling herself arrived to talk further about the new series in the franchise. Hoards of screaming fans, all dressed in their finest wizarding wear, were also present, there to pour their hearts and love into a movie that isn’t even out yet – because despite the Harry Potter series focusing on The Boy Who Lived, the universe Rowling has created has grown far beyond the walls of Hogwarts and Diagon Alley.

It was at this event that J.K Rowling then made the announcement of the evening.

jkrowlingannouncing

“I think we can say,” She pauses, looking to Yates, “Am I allowed to say that David?” At his agreement, she turns back to the audience.

“So I’ve now done the plotting properly, so we’re pretty sure it’s going to be five movies.”

The final word has barely escaped her lips before the room goes up in a chorus of elated cheer, and the reactions on Twitter have been absolutely outstanding.

The cast and interviewer themselves sat aghast, also completely caught out by Rowling’s statement. Of course the world always knew that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was due to be more than one movie – originally, it was meant to be a trilogy. But with this announcement, fans can now look forward to returning to the Wizard World again, this time for another extended stay.

Rowling has also confirmed that young Dumbledore will be making an appearance, and that there will be a prominent role for his rival, once friend and also unrequited love, Gellert Grindlewald.

dumbledore

Overall, whilst some fans have expressed concern about how they plan to spread this series across five movies, especially when the book it’s based on is an incredibly thin spin-off one at that – however, Rowling clearly loves her characters, the world she has created and the characters and monsters that thrive within it. She wants the best for her characters, on both print and big-screen. The world can breathe a sigh of relief – the magical world has come to welcome us home, and it plans to stay for a while.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is due for release November 18th 2016, and will star Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables, The Theory of Everything, My Week with Marilyn) as Newt Scamander, Ezra Miller (We Need to Talk About Kevin, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Suicide Squad) as Credence, Colin Farrell (Phone Booth, Miami Vice, Total Recall) as Percival Graves and Katherine Waterston (Steve Jobs, Inherent Vice, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her) as Porpentina Goldstein.

Friends star Matthey Perry reveals Batman room… And is Batman?

“I’ll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour…” I can’t help but to think of that song when hearing the name Friends or Matthew Perry, (he was my fav friend.) But never imagined him to be huge Batman nerd… Sweet!

While on the Jimmy Kimmel show, the Friends legend confirmed to having a room dedicated to the Dark Knight. “That’s true, I’ve had the Batman room, sir, for about 3years-4 years. ….It’s like the Christian Bale version. I got really into that.” He continues “and I’m an insomniac so I get up in the middle of the night, get on Ebay and buy all this Batman stuff and just throw it in a room…but I want to point out, it’s not dorky…it’s sexy.” They also reveal a picture of what the room looks like, which I have to agree, it is sexy….If you’re into Batman (Superman girl here). Matthew later reveals, after discussing some of the collectibles in the room, (Batman crayons,) that he is Batman! This is the reason for the Batman shrine. It all makes sense now!

You can watch the interview below here in the link and enjoy it as much as I did. ^_^

Scarlett Johansson talks about what she would like in Black Widow movie

Though its not for sure that this will happen, the starlet Scarlett has recently revealed her ideas about what she would like to see should there be a Black Widow movie.

I would like for it to happen under the right circumstances. I think there’s a lot of opportunity to mine the story line. She’s got a really rich origins story. There’s a lot of places you can go- you can bring it back to Russia, you could explore the widow program. There’s all kinds of stuff that you could do with it. You could really uncover the identity of who this person is, where she comes from and where she’s part of.”

She has a point, there is so much that could be done with a film like Widows. Though I don’t know how well I could handle the scenes that may take place should they do the back-story of her, like when she was in the Widow Program, but the movie could be pretty fantastic for sure. And honestly, they should do a movie on her; she has been with the team since Iron Man 2 when she made her debut. It’s only fair, I feel, that they give her more back-story in her own movie.

I think if the fans wanted it enough, then it would probably become a reality. I talked to them (Marvel) about it often. It would have to fit in the idea of where they want to go. I’m invested in that character. Marvel is greatly invested in that character. If I did it, I’d have to do it while I still actually wanted to wear a skin-tight catsuit. I don’t know how much longer that’s going to be.”

There is another reason why we got to get this movie moving… That outfit she wears is amazing, and girl I feel ya. Keeping a body like that to wear something so tight takes a lot of hard work and dedication for sure. And lets face it, that’s not a life style that we want to live 24-7 just for one outfit. I myself work out every day at 4 am, which is tough at times, but I can’t imagine what she has to do for that kind of body.

Well there you have it, the thoughts of the beautiful Scarlett Johansson on her Black Widow movie, should it come to pass. ^_^

Scream Queens S2 EP1 – ‘Scream Again’

WARNING SPOILERS BELOW.

scream-queens-the-chanels

(From the left) Chanel No.3 (Billie Lourd), Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), Chanel No.5 (Abigail Breslin)

Scream Queens is back, Idiot Hookers!

Scream Queens season 2 began much like season 1, with a flashback to begin the killer mystery. This time is a flashback to a hospital Halloween party, where a nurse and a doctors evening is interrupted by a women begging them to help her husband – who is a patient in need of medical assistance. They reluctantly agree to help, but instead of performing the procedure as they promised, they would rather return to the party and so they dump the guy in a swamp instead (because …of course!?). Just in case anyone saw them, the doctor also dumps his green devil costume in the swamp so he cannot be identified.

Back in the present day, the hospital is now under new ownership, owned by none other than Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), now Doctor Munsch. Since last season, Munsch has become famous for ‘New New Feminism’ and to maintain her now hero-status she purchased the hospital to ‘cure the incurable’.

We then get a glimpse at a Netflix documentary which should have been called ‘Making a Kappa Kappa Murderer’. Anyway it reveals the Chanel’s have been exonerated as Hester (Lea Michelle) was coaxed into a confession by Officer Denise Hemphill (Niecy Nash), now Special Agent for the FBI.

Although they have been exonerated, the Chanel’s are considered pariahs and without their families riches they have fallen on hard times and are forced to work until Munsch recruits them as medical students. Munsch has also recruited Zayday (Keke Palmer) and hot doctors Dr. Brock Holt (John Stamos) and Dr. Cassidy Cascade (Taylor Lautner). Holt is the recipient of the first successful hand transplant after losing his hand in a bloody garbage disposal accident, and the hand seems to have some strangley-tendencies.

scream-queens-brock-holt-and-chanelIt seems the Chanel’s may have met their match, with the introduction of the Chanel’s new nemesis, nurse Ingrid Hoffel (Kirstie Alley). In confrontation with the Chanel’s she threatened to eat them for lunch.

The first patient at the hospital is SNL’s Cecily Strong, who suffers from extreme hair growth that makes her look like a werewolf. The Chanel’s want to become TV doctors and so plan to outshine Zayday by finding a cure for the werewolf lady. After flirting with Holt, they realise food was causing high testosterone levels which led to the extreme hair growth. Zayday did not look happy when Chanel showed her up.

The episode ends with Chanel No.5 and the now hairless werewolf women locked in medical baths, the new killer takes this opportunity to behead the hairless werewolf and potentially Chanel No.5, we will have to wait until next episode to find out.

Scream Queens came back with plenty of screams and even more crazy scenarios, the show proved it can get more ridiculous and still remain entertaining. My only criticism of this episode was it lacked suspense, we’re use to being constantly on edge with this show, but that was probably due to the killer only making an appearance at the end. However, to their credit this was because they spent time setting up plenty of mysteries to uncover in the season ahead.

Some of the many questions the episode left us with; Who does Holt’s hand belong to? Why is Cassidy so cold? What’s Munsch’s plan with the Chanel’s? Would they really kill off Chanel No.5? And obviously, Who is the new killer?

Let us know what you thought of the episode. Do you think you already know who the killer is?

The park members besides Mordecai and Rigby are watching a soap opera called Lazer Hunters. Mordecai and Rigby are not sure why anyone would watch it but are instantly drawn in. They want to watch it all before the series finale though they really need to vacuum for Benson. They end up watching the whole series and are ready for the finale.

Of course since they didn’t vacuum they are pulled out of the room, looks like they need to protect themselves from spoilers. They have Eileen record it and head out on their task. They are working in the house, when Muscleman comes running excited by the finale. They run to dig up a prepared kit with the title “Operation: Hear No Evil” on it.

Rigby breaks their phones and they go back to the ship. When Muscleman is looking in the house for them, Benson comes in and hearing the floor hasn’t been vacuumed asks Muscleman about the finale. Benson wants to be the one to spoil them for not doing what he asked.

Mordecai and Rigby get in the air-ducts and Benson follows them. They continue running stealing hover boards to get away. They eventually get to the barracks and lock the door only to find Benson hiding their. They really should have just vacuumed the house, they’ll never learn.

They pull out a tape of the finale of Benson’s favorite show, and blackmail him. Sticking the tape in Benson concedes and lets them watch the finale. One of their space friends comes in and spoils both endings in one quick moment, poor guys they just wanted to enjoy good tv. A classic story for Regular Show especially in our world where spoilers can be anywhere and everywhere. Excited for the next episode Space Escape!
