Regular Show In Space S8 E13 ‘Space Race’

https://i0.wp.com/www.watchcartoononline.com/thumbs/Regular-Show-Season-8-Episode-13--The-Space-Race.jpg

Mordecai and Rigby are playing a racing game in the Space Tree when they got caught by the leader of the tree. They think they are getting in trouble when they find it is actually a training module for the Space Race between the Space Tree and the Space Bush.

He asks for help from the former best racers and when he leaves they leave because they don’t want to teach their replacements. Sally another crew member taught them to race so of course she offers to train Mordecai, Rigby and their Park Member Put Crew. In an epic montage they learn how to race.

Of course the former team joins the Space Bush so they can defeat Mordecai and Rigby. In a thrilling race that is is so fast its insane their rivals shoot to first. It kind of reminds of Rainbow Road seeing as they both are in space. Of course this race is far more dangerous as two of the cars explode when hit.

Mordecai and Rigby are doing fine until they are hit by an asteroid which depletes some oxygen. Hans and Lars are tricky and they are sabotaging their fellow racers. The Pitcrew heads to help the pair and they are soon flying towards an alien planet for a pit stop. when they reach the planet they are forced into a tunnel, and in third place they are really close.

They reach the pair and push in a fuel cell into their car in hopes of speeding up. Rigby and a rival racer jump out of their cars and Rigby wins by hitting the finish line. They win the race and the support of their captain. Looks like Mordecai and Rigby aren’t doing too badly in space and that is a good thing.

Regular Show: In Space S8 E12 ‘Stuck in an Elevator’

https://i0.wp.com/i.ytimg.com/vi/ht1OkwZhp18/mqdefault.jpg

Mordecai and Rigby’s favorite band Fistpump is having one last show and it happens to be in space. Humorously this is because the UN banned this concert. There is a short flashback to an older episode where they fell asleep at the show because they worked all day to earn them.

They arrive at the venue and find that there is a line to the five second tub elevator so they obviously take a real elevator which of course is working until Rigby presses the Emergency stop button.

Rigby trying to update an app kills the rest of his battery. Now because he is claustrophobic he is freaking out. The duo are depressed because they won’t get to see this band. They have no idea if they are ever going to get back to Earth so this may be their last Earthly experience.

Jumping on Mordecai’s head Rigby breaks open the roof of the elevator and begins climbing. Mordecai depressed himself but finally gives in and climbs until they reach a vent which they crawl through.

They crawl until they reach a cave and wake up bats with Mordecai’s lighter app. They see a giant bat who first wants to kill them but when they mention Fist Pump he tells them he wants to see the band.

They end up getting to the concert riding the bat and realize Space can be pretty cool. Though they miss Earth it looks like they are going to make the best of this experience. Really enjoying how much Regular Show they are cranking out even though every episode is leading to the series finale. I will keep enjoying this show that is for sure.

The ‘Survivor: Millennials Vs Gen-X’ Review – “Whose The Sucker At The Table?”

Who would’ve predicted that Pirate Paul’s departure last week would create such a fracas in the Gen-X Tribe?

Chris got a J’Tia-lite confessional (stay away from that Rice man), Jessica bounced to the bottom of the totem pole, Sunday was … there, and purple Lucy finally got a confessional. Which immediately signalled to seasoned Survivor viewers that she was tonight’s boot.

With a little help from David of course.

Oh David. Again, my love for you endures but damn you are determined to put me through the emotional wringer aren’t you. While this episode was a cacophony of bad moves from Lucy generally stepping into the limelight and demanding blind-loyalty from Ken. For he-to-then-go against her and tell Jessica that she was on the chopping block.

David playing his Idol to save Jessica was on another level.

survivor-millennials-vs-gen-x

While I can see where narcotic David is coming from, essentially gaining loyalty through saving a possible alley for he, Ken and CeCe’s alliance. Playing your Hidden Immunity Idol Pre-Merge exposes how Wolfie your game is. Granted his actions in episode 1 has already convey his hap-hazard approach to Survivor Strategy, so maybe he is so out in the open now he could be considered “safe” by the other players. Which defiantly increases his Goat-tential and subsequent staying-power in the game.

But putting all your eggs in the Jessica basket seems fool-hardy to me. Especially when Jessica has proven for is an Alliance flight risk.

Just ask Paul.

With Gen-X offering strategic (bad) moves aplenty. Over on Millennial island they were having fun Goat hunting. Yes you read that right. Goat Hunting.

I have to say watching a majority of the Tribe traipsing up that hill with machetes aloft their heads was comedic gold. Not only did it give Survivor Producers a chance to hammer-home the ‘Free Spirit‘ living that Millennials embrace via a Jay confessional. It also gave us a rest-bite from the insufferable Show-mance that has dominated much of the Millennials airtime thus far.

survivor-millennials-vs-gen-x

It also gave my other fave Castaway Adam a chance to find the Hidden Immunity Idol and build upon his character on the show.

I have to admit, I’m a sucker for a sob-story on Survivor. And although this was no Andrew Savage has a hot wife sob-fest, this was still pretty good.

When Mari was voted out in week 2 it was Zeke and Hannah’s interactions that dominated the immediate aftermath. Although Adam got a strong confessional about working his way up from the bottom, it has taken until now to see any real character from Adam besides being Zeke’s counterpart. It may be too soon to say ‘Winners Edit’ but … Winner’s Edit.

Give me Adam and David in the finals and my tiny little mind will explode.

survivor-millennials-vs-gen-x

Before I go I would be re-missed not to mention Michaela in the Reward Challenge. Not because she got her “Ta-Tas” out – mind out the gutter people – but because right now, I’m living for Michaela’s Confessionals.

Not unlike Cydney Gillon last season, I would be shocked if Michaela isn’t invited back anytime soon.

Disney Assures Fans Mulan Will Not Be Whitewashed

Over the last year or so, we have been receiving news of beloved Disney classics coming back to the big screen in the form of live action movies.  With the chance to see our favorites on screen again there comes an additional concern.  Will the actors cast for the roles be accurate?  This is at the forefront of the concern about the upcoming Mulan movie.

There was a rumor that the new Mulan movie would be changed drastically from its original premise of Mulan being the protagonist.  The change that was circulating was that Mulan would no longer be the main character and that a white man would take the place of our beloved main character.  It was speculated that he would be a savior character which Mulan would fall for.  This news angered many fans because along with this news there was talk that the actors would not be strictly Chinese.  As a story set in China which follows Mulan as the protagonist who doesn’t need a love story to be complete, this news sparked much talk from the community on Twitter who started the #MakeMulanRight hashtag.

Since this news, Disney has made a statement.  They have assured fans that the main character will not be a white man and that Mulan will remain the focus of the story, as she should be.  They have also said that the cast will be primarily made up of Chinese actors.

Supernatural SN12 E1 – Keep Calm and Carry On

Keep Calm and Carry On

I spent a lot of this hour repeating things over and over.  Lucy kept saying things like “I know,” and “I heard you the first ten times”.  I had to explain to her that I was saying it to convince myself… okay, and console myself.  Ya know, cause I was saying things like, “Sammy didn’t really do it” x 10 … and “Oh no she di-ent” x 10 when b!tch hit Baby in the back quarter panel.

Let me just say that Mary Winchester is a bad ass!  Seriously.

There were so many moments in this episode that I just laughed at Lady Toni & Co.  For example, when Ms. Watt used the blow torch on Sammy’s foot, I was saying things like… “Just wait til Dean gets there, cause spoiler alert b!tch, he’s gonna kick your ass.”  Don’t get me wrong, I was p!ssed off that she would dare hurt our Sammy, but I knew Dean was gonna make her pay.  Big surprise that it wasn’t Dean, but Mama Mary that kicked that ass!  Just for reference…. that’s Ms. Watt’s blood on that angel blade up there in Mary’s hand.  Sassy Sammy boasting that he’d been “tortured by the devil himself” and asking “What are you going to do to me?”… um yeah, we may or may not have rewound live TV and watched that more than once.  Cause, you know, Lucy is a Sammy Girl.

Then, when Dean went all Taken on Lady Toni .. I know you know what I’m talking about, I’ve got a certain set of skills, blah blah blah… and then broke the phone.  Her response was just great!  She says to Ms. Watt, “We have a problem.”

Really?  A PROBLEM?

I laughed sooooo hard over that one.  A problem, she said.  Obviously, she didn’t do as much research on the Winchesters as she claimed, if all she thinks they have is a problem.

Problem.  Like Everest is a hill.

And, Oh happy day!  Our Mighty Smighty Angel is BACK!  Well, except I was really disappointed that Dean AND Cas couldn’t take out Ms. Watt.  Mama Winchester had to clean up that mess.   I said “Thanks Mom,” before Dean did.

There was only one thing about this episode that I didn’t like.  It ended before Sam was rescued.  They better give me a rescue worthy of Liam Neeson in Taken next week…

Or we’re going to have a problem.

That’s what she said.

You’re the Worst S3 E7

Jimmy is cranking out his novel possibly spurred on by deadlines and the death of his father. He soon passes out exhausted after a crazy night of writing. He suddenly gets a package which he opens and throws outside. Moments later Gretchen brings it in and he tosses it outside again. Of course Edgar brings it in once again.

Inside are his dad’s ashes, and his dad wanted him to have a memorial as his last wishes. Of course Jimmy really has no interest on it at least on the surface.

Lindsay wants to find another man to screw so she can be with Paul. He diverges the conversation in hopes of changing her to his side.

Gretchen’s new client is the brilliant Ben Folds. Gretchen goes home to see Jimmy reading his novel to his father’s ashes. Clearly he has somethings to get off his chest.

Lindsay hates how boring Paul is and clearly needs excitement to keep this up. Paul finds the man Lindsay wanted to spend time with and is soon told to sit down and watch what unfolds, clearly crushing him.

Edgar goes to talk to the VA about smoking pot medically and is sent away. Jimmy’s dad’s friend comes to the door to tell

They have a memorial, and everyone comes including Ben Folds. Ronny, Jimmy’s Dad’s friend reads a message from his dad as the eulogy. After the letter is filled with lies, Jimmy freaks out and reads his list of heckles. Jimmy runs off to dump his ashes as Ben Folds opens up a prop table at the party.

Edgar gets a pot card as Jimmy goes to scatter his father’s ashes at Tony Shaloub’s house. As he kicks the can of ash’s he breaks down and cries walking home.

A really deep episode of the fantastic “You’re the Worst”. Losing a parent can be very troubling even if they weren’t the best to you.  But I think they really did this well, and love how intelligent are when  they deal with tragedy. Excited as always for  next week’s episode “Genetically Inferior Beta Males.”

Supergirl Mehcad Brooks Post First Photo of James Olsen as Guardian

Supergirl‘s super pal, James Olsen becomes a Superhero!

guardianbar640

Mehcad Brooks who portrays James Olsen on the new CW hit show, Supergirl, posted a photo of him in the Guardian suit. Guardian made his first DC appearance in the 1942’s Star Spangled Comics #7; however James Olsen was never one of the original men behind the Guardian mask.

3751569-guardiansnew52

Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg told DC Comics, “These next few episodes are going to make [James] realize that being a photographer is not enough for him.  So he’s going to go on a pretty exciting career trajectory that we’re really pumped by. James is going to decide that he can no longer sit back and be a sidekick, so he’s going to decide to become a vigilante. He’s going to become Guardian, complete with the shield, which is going to cause a massive problem in his relationship with Kara because he has decided not to tell her. Now there’s this new masked vigilante, and she has her own feelings about vigilantes, and it becomes a push and pull about who gets to decide who gets to be a hero?”

The newest CW show premiered this past Monday, but it is actually in its second season, having first premiered on the CBS network.  At the end of Season 1, Kara (Melissa Benoist) finally kissed James before his mind was taken over by Meridian.  She eventually saved him and they went on their first date in the Season 2 premiere, but decided to remain friends.  James has always known that Kara is Supergirl and they have a close friendship.  And since they still have feelings for one another, this kind of secret will destroy the trust between them.

Aaaaaaaaannnnnd at the same time, seeing James in superhero mode will be very exciting!

Supergirl Season 2 is on the CW on Monday nights.  Check local listings for showtimes.

Is Batman/TMNT cross over in the works?

Well it wouldn’t be the first time the Dark Knight and the pizza loving reptiles have worked together. Not a pairing though I am sure most of us could imagine working well together. I mean Batman barley works with his own Justice League team, but a group of fun loving teenage turtles?

As I said this is not the first time this pairing has happened, or the second for that matter. Both pairings though have been in the comic book world. The original crossover was published in December 2015-May 2016 with a total of 6 issues, with writer James Tynion and artist Freddie Williams. The next comic adventure is supposed to come out this November 2016, and follow in the ways of the Nickelodeons Batman: The Animated Series and Nickelodeons CG-animated TMNT cartoon. The comic will be named Batman/TMNT Adventures, written by Matthew K. Manning and drawn by Jon Sommariva.

But the newest idea for the compilation is for a movie, an animated movie done by Warner Bros. Apparently at the newest animated showing this past week, movie goers were handed a survey on what they would like to see next in the way of possible upcoming releases and how likely they would see them. The list included:

-Batman/TMNT crossover

-A Wonder Woman ’77 movie

-Swamp-Thing

If you ask me they all sound awesome and I would definitely see each of them. I imagine the Batman/TMNT crossover to be pretty funny, I mean interaction between Mickey and Batman. Enough said… ^_^

Agents of SHIELD SN4 EP03-‘Uprising’

A blackout causes Agents of Shield to shine bright in one of its most thrilling episodes.

agents-of-shield-season-4-episode-3

After a couple episodes dealing with the supernatural, Agents of Shield returned to its roots this week, dealing with an old fashioned worldwide disaster. In an episode that also saw the organisation re-legitimised this was really the only way to go. There had to be one grand gesture to the world stating they have a reason to trust SHIELD again, and that could hardly be achieved if they’d emerged from the shadows talking about chasing ghosts. Though why that would be hard to believe in a world filled with superheroes I have no idea. In any case, after seeing the team deal with increasingly crazy stuff, mostly known only to them, for so long, it was nice an action packed world hopping adventure.

The show wasted no time getting right into things, as the hen party Yo-Yo was attending went a little bit more off the rails than they usually do. They went all out showing the effects of the EMP, with a helicopter falling from the sky and crashing into a building. It was a moment that felt earned. Big moments like that are usually exciting to see at first, but then bear no consequence later. Take the nuking of a town in ‘Arrow’ for example, it was all but ignored, but here the stakes were clearly felt by everyone, and it made a moment like that clearly in service to the wider story. Sure it was mainly a fun visual, but it amplified the threat in significant ways.

The threat, of course, was caused by the Watchdogs as opposed to the Inhumans. Making their first appearance back in Season 3, the Watchdogs were a genuinely formidable force that seemed to peter out after their first appearance. After all the ominous talk we’ve heard about them over the last two episodes as well, it was important to ensure that their re-introduction to the story lived up to the hype. I think we can safely say it did, as the Watchdogs are now more formidable than ever. With decent funding giving them access to military grade equipment, these guys are a far cry from the home grown Watchdogs of last season. Though we unfortunately didn’t bear witness to their attacks throughout the world, their actions in Miami were enough to lend weight to those attacks. It could have easily felt like a cop out when they mentioned they had killed 17 Inhumans at the end there, and it would have been good to see at least one of those to further emphasise the danger, but what we saw of them in the episode was enough to make you believe they could have been successful around the world. The only reason Yo-Yo really survived was because Coulson, Mack and Fitz showed up, rather awesomely might I add.

That is part of what made this such a standout episode. Showing a little, but saying a lot. It certainly applies to the relationship between Robbie and his brother Gabe. We didn’t get much interaction between the two this episode, which was a shame but there’ll no doubt be more, however the little we did see said a lot about how close they are. Both are protective of one another, but both show that in different ways. Whilst Robbie can quite easily physically protect his brother, Gabe has to take a slightly calmer, more intelligent approach. The way he analysed Daisy and warned her to stay away was cold, but not entirely unwarranted. He figured out she was Quake and for all he knows she’s a dangerous bank robber. It brought up that question again of whether Daisy really is a good person at the moment. It’s a conflict she’s clearly struggling with herself, but whereas her friends at Shield try to tiptoe around the subject, Gabe just told it as it is, and that will no doubt get Daisy thinking. It helps that Gabe is a likeable character. You could easily get mad at him for telling Daisy to stay away, but between his relationship with Robbie and the fact he told Daisy to leave in probably the nicest way possible, it’s hard not to like this guy.

The only part of the episode that fell a little short was the Agent May plotline. There was never the real sense there that she would actually die, so much of the tension of the scene just wasn’t there. Nevertheless, it was fun to see Dr Radcliffe return and work together with Simmons, and his matter of fact attitude towards everything continues to be a comic highlight. We got to see a little more interaction with Aida this episode, but it appears that storyline is going to take more of a slow burn approach. There’s a certain quality of sadness to Mallory Jansen’s performance that both evokes sympathy for Aida and prevents you from wholly trusting her. Given every AI story ever, Aida will no doubt become a homicidal maniac, but as I’ve said before I hope they go a different route.

S.H.I.E.L.D Zephyr One Report Log_Events of Interest and Enquiry:

  • The fight scenes were stunning this episode, especially with the way the environment was incorporated into them. It was a pleasure to see Robbie and Daisy team up, and shows that Robbie has some decent skills as a normal person, let alone as Ghost Rider, whilst Daisy’s arm is in even worse shape now. The true highlights involved Coulson’s team. The use of tracking in the scene where they saved Yo-Yo was superb as the camera swiftly moved from person to person, not breaking up any of the action and emphasising the gravity of the situation. Then when they located the EMP device, the flashing lights illuminating brief moments of the fight really evoked a sense of confusion. All together they were just some really fun scenes to watch, and proved no matter how far Agents of Shield delves into the supernatural, it will always be grounded in moments like this.
  • There was some rather good humour to be had this episode as well. Most of it involved Coulson missing out on seeing Ghost Rider, and Mack and Fitz assuring him the transformation was “quite unsettling.”
  • We also got a glimpse of the general attitude towards Inhumans this episode. We’ve not really seen Inhumans within the context of a wider world, interacting with friends and family who aren’t approving of what they are. Therefore, it was quite heart-breaking to see Yo-Yo’s friends turn on her so quickly this episode. It’s an issue that’s essentially one of the main plot points throughout the history of the X-Men, and has always been an intriguing one to explore, so I hope to see the writers expand on this through the use of Inhumans. They are after all extremely similar.
  • So the touch of a ghost scares people to death. It was only a matter of time before they managed to explain it through science, but that’s only one aspect of the ghosts. It’s still unclear how they exist, or just how their touch does that.
  • So just who was in that Inhuman cocoon at the end there. Obviously Senator Nadir’s brother, which lends a bit more context as to why she’s so against Inhumans if she believes they took her brother from her, but it seems he’s been trapped in that cocoon for a while. Why has he stayed in there so long? And what does that mean for the powers he’s developing? Something tells me we’ll find out soon enough.

Agents of Shield returned this week with a thrilling, action packed instalment that expanded upon the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some very significant ways. With the presence of Inhumans now common knowledge it was time for SHIELD to come out of the shadows, which will no doubt have lasting effects throughout the Marvel world. A worldwide disaster and some actual human enemies brought the series back to its roots, capped off with some excellent fight scenes. As the threat of the Watchdogs grows, and the ghost mystery deepens, Agents of Shield has no shortage of strong material to play with, and given the brilliance of the first three episodes of this season, I think we should all be excited by what’s coming next.

Lucifer SN2-EP3 ‘Sin-Eater’

670

Welcome back to another episode recap of the devil we love Lucifer. Keeping with tradition let’s have a quick recap of last week’s episode –

SN2-EP2 “Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire.

Last week Lucifer’s mother, Charlotte, turns up at the scene of a grizzly murder pleading innocence, Lucifer is hesitant to believe her tale. Lucifer, not wanting to leave her home alone, he instructs Maze to babysit her – but under no circumstances is Maze to torture her, which buys Lucifer some time to investigate the case with Chloe

Lucifer SN2-EP3 “Sin-Eater”

This week Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and DetChole Decker (Lauren German) are called in to investigate a murder after a video of the gruesome crime surfaced on social media. When a second video appears they quickly realise they have a serial killer who likes to punish people, which immediately intrigues our devil, while at the same time it makes him question his own need to punish people. We also see a friendship starting between CSI Ella (Amiee Garcia) and Lucifer this week, as the bond over the murder victim’s roasted crotch.

Best line of the episode…”Do not touch the charred crotch, Lucifer.”

The investigation leads them to a website “Wobble” a competitor of Facebook, where both of the victim videos and the humiliation video were posted and at which one of the victims worked. Decker and Lucifer believe one of the moderators have had enough of the horrible clips and has now turned Vigilante. The website uses content moderators to screen all posted videos for inappropriate material; which we learn the head of the company Lelia (Robin Givens) who has been helping Decker with her investigation used to be a moderator. So, of course, Decker and Lucifer immediately suspect head of the company is responsible

lucifer-2-03-sin-eater-do-not-touch-the-charred-crotch-1024x576

Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Dr Martin (Rachael Harris) are having drinks at Lux when Mamma Morningstar (Tricia Helfer) arrives, Maze’s anger at Charlotte is noticed by Dr Martin and encourages Maze to talk to Lucifer about the issue, but instead Maze leaves to speak to Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside). Charlotte pushes Lucifers buttons when she questions why he still labels himself a punisher, “it’s what I do. It’s  what I have always done” he replies. She tells him no,  this is what your father always wanted you to do. Is Lucifer still sub-consciously still trying to impress and win over father’s approval? Lucifer gets his devil eyes on, but Charlotte doesn’t even blink.

Amenadiel is having a pity party for one, drinking wine and eating takeout, Maze knocks on the door he quickly cleans up with a dust buster, not wanting maze to discover he is losing his divinity, however, she thinks he is cleaning up after having a lady friend over. She asks him so go talk to Lucifer and stop him from seeing the “new woman” in his life. Amenadiel arrives at Lux looking for  Lucifer but instead finds the woman Maze was talking about, she briefly plays a human, saying that she just want to get closer to her sons, but eventually  Charlotte admits who she is and that she just wants her family back, she doesn’t want to be sent back to hell but if he must then she is ready to go. Except we know that would be an impossible task to complete.

lucifer-season-2-episode-3-photos-sin-eater-12-1024x682

Decker and Lucifer can’t find Leila, but then a message comes through that Leila will kill herself live on the air on Wobble. Decker and Lucifer follow ha hunch that it will go down at Wobble and head to Wobble HQ, they find Leila tied up and recording a video with the HR guy Raymond (Vik Sahay) recording it. Lelia is doused in petrol and Raymond is holding a lighter so Decker can’t shoot him without blowing them all up. As Raymond dropped the lighter she sets off the fire extinguishing system. Turns out Raymond enjoyed seeing people beg for forgiveness.

Chloe and Dan (Kevin Alejandro) talk about the camping trip, Chloe said earlier they couldn’t go on the trip because it was unfair to give Trixie (Scarlett Estevez)false hope of the family being together again, Dan agrees they shouldn’t go on the trip and that they are both better apart for Trixie’s sake, and it’s time they get a divorce. Lucifer returns to Lux and is relieved to find mum hasn’t been sent back to hell, Lucifer a man of his word hands down his punishment to his mother, she must live out her time on Earth as Charlotte Richards, the human. Leaving Lux,  Charlotte walks down a dodgy street and gets mugged. When he struggles with her, she throws him, with little effort against that wall. She is surprised at her new strength and walks away with a strut and clearly pleased with herself. I think Mamma Morningstar is going to be trouble with a capital T!
