KillJoys SN2 EP10 – ‘Season Finale’

Yes! I binge watched! Had to, so that I could get caught up to date for last Fridays’ Season Finale, “How to Kill Friends and Influence People”. The story picks up with Dutch’s memory of Khlyen (Rob Stewart) telling Yala a story that she must remember because this is how it all began.

On Lucy they bring Johnny (Aaron Ashmore) around to the realization that Pawter (Sarah Power) is dead. [Read more…]

Killjoys SN2 EP9 – ‘Johnny Be Good’

Torturer

In Johnny Be Good, the opening scene is a pile of dead bodies, Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) is handcuffed and is being tortured in the Royale, and the wall is down. The formerly complacent inhabitants want a lynching. The chief torturer has put microleeches in her water, things that will make her bleed if she lies. She does, and she bleeds. He wants to know where Jelco is and why she helped him escape. Pree doesn’t believe a word of it, and tries to free her with the standard shotgun behind the bar (“You, Me, Blaze of Glory”), but she knows they can’t make it. What in the SEVEN HELLS happened here? Killjoys SN2 EP8 – ‘Full Metal Monk’

Killjoys - Season 2

When last we saw Killjoy Johnny (Aaron Ashmore), he was confined to a glow-y cage at Springhill, having met with Jelco (Pascal Langdale) and his merry band of thugs. And the burning question was, “Who will get him out?”. Well, in Full Metal Monk, that question was answered when Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) went to visit him. And tear a strip for lying to his team, and nearly getting their license revoked. Johnny offers his last intact rib, but Dutch is not amused. He defended himself: Pawter has her thing, which is Old Town, and Westerly and Walls, and you, you have yours which is Sixes and Khylen and Sabine. I am in love with Pawter”. Dutch allows as how since she killed Sabine, and Khylen left her another red box, they are both in a hard place right now, she just didn’t think he would be part of hers. Dutch calls Pawter, and leaves. [Read more…]

Stephen Amell Reveals How He Would Feel If Arrow Was Recast For DCEU

rsz_amell-not-upset-over-dceu-green-arrow

So Stephen Amell has now reveled how he would feel if the Green Arrow was portrayed by another actor whilst doing a panel during Salt Lake City Comic Con and someone even managed to catch it all and upload it to Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O4hzI3kdtM

Here’s what Stephen Amell had to say

“I do not have a right to Oliver Queen. Someone played it played it before me. Someone voiced it before me. Somebody will play it after me. I don’t believe that there are plans for Oliver Queen in the DC Extended Universe, based off things that people have told me, but I would not be upset if that changed at all.”

So he has given a good answer here that he is not fussed if they use another actor for the role he plays in the TV series. This may be confusing to some people as about a year ago he mentioned that Grant Gustin should have been used as the movie version of The Flash as well as the TV series but he has now gone back to clarify what he meant by this.

It appears that he was more frustrated at the timing of the announcement of Ezra Miller playing the big screen version of The Flash as it took away from the action that was happening on the small screen.

DC seem to be fond of keeping both the small screen and big screen version of there characters separate with Grant Gustin playing The Flash on the small screen and Ezra Miller for the movies also we have Tyler Hoechlin playing Superman in the Super Girl TV series and Henry Cavill playing the Man Of Steel on the big screen. We have yet to be told if Green Arrow will be included as a big screen adaption and have not yet been advised of an alternative actor who is lined up to take up the role but some DC fans are calling for Matt Damon to take on the role.

So there you have it and as always stick with @Deadpool_1984 only at skatronixxx.com

‘Agents of SHIELD’ Season 4: First Look At Ghost Rider

first-look-ghost-rider.jpg

With the Season 4 premiere for ‘Agents of SHIELD’ mere weeks away now, it seems ABC is picking up the pace in promoting it. Entertainment Weekly today revealed the first look at Gabriel Luna (Matador) as Robbie Reyes, a.k.a Ghost Rider.

Though the picture doesn’t give us a full reveal as to what Luna will look like as Ghost Rider, Executive Producer Jed Whedon stated how the character would be adapted from his decidedly minimal source material.

“As always, we are going to put our own spin on the character. We are staying true to the comics in the places where we feel like it’s really important — we love the character’s family dynamic and the East L.A. kid in him.”

Given the majority of audiences won’t be familiar with this version of Ghost Rider, it will be interesting to see what liberties the writers take with the character. Now that the show has been moved to a later 10pm timeslot, there’s much more scope to do some darker things, and this character is a perfect fit.

‘Agents of Shield’ Season 4 premieres Tuesday, 20th September at 10pm on ABC.

SyFy Series: The Expanse Update

Hey, y’all! Deven B here. I’m taking my own sweet time getting to S1 Ep7 of our favorite SyFy series: The Expanse. Don’t worry, I promise it’s on the way! This damn work thing seems to want to keep me away from what I really like to do which is camp out in front of my TV and escape into space with Miller, Holden, and the rest of The Expanse universe.

In the meantime I’ve been following the guys on twitter and checking the internet-verse for news and updates. Occasionally, I’m late on some of the news so if you’ve seen this already, awesome!

The biggest news to hit lately is it looks like a fan favorite from the book series, Robert “Bobbie” Draper, will join the story in the second season. Bobbie Draper will be played by newcomer Frankie Adams.

Frankie Adams for Skatronixxx

Other exciting news I’ve come across is the fact that the TV series is still only 2/3rds of the way through the first book. However, show runner Naren Shankar admits that he’s been jumping between books to make the show flow better.

When asked, Shankar does let on that other popular characters from the books will be introduced in season 2.

SyFy brings the popular series back in early 2017. Stay tuned to Skatronnixxx.com for news and updates on The Expanse.

Star Trek Gets Stamps Ahead Of 50th Anniversary

Explore strange new worlds…seek out new life and new civilizations with the new Star Trek postage stamps.  The Star Trek Forever postage stamps are here!  On Friday, Walter Koenig and the US Postal service unveiled the images of the stamps that will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Star Trek franchise.  Star Trek premiered on September 8, 1966. Friday was also the kick of of the three day celebration, Star Trek: Mission New York.

The original Chekov, Walter Koenig was among the speakers for the unveiling.  In an interview with StarTrek.com, Koenig said, “I’ve always liked seeing the word ‘Forever’ on a stamp. It says to me we’ll still be around, and for a long, long time.”

The four images  were designed by artists Jason Kernevich and Dustin Summers.  The images represent the most iconic images of the series.  The Starship Enterprise, a Starfleet insignia, Spock’s “Live Long and Propser” hand sign and a crew member beaming away on the transporter.

The stamps can be purchased on the USPS website and will be valid for mailing First Class letters.

‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Season 4 Premiere Title Revealed

agents of shield key art

In the absence of a trailer from the fast approaching season of ‘Agents of SHIELD’, fans are currently clinging onto any information we get. And today we got something good indeed.

According to Spoiler TV, it has been revealed that the title for Episode One is ‘The Ghost’. Given what we know about the upcoming Season, this is an exciting development indeed. It has already been announced that Gabriel Luna is set to arrive on the show in a blaze of fire as Ghost Rider, and now we have a pretty substantial clue as to just when this arrival will take place.

Of course this episode title isn’t ironclad confirmation that Ghost Rider will feature heavily in the season-opener. Indeed the group could be tracking someone down simply codenamed ‘The Ghost’ before a full reveal at the end of the episode. Given how TV shows like to tease us, this isn’t exactly unlikely.

Given the reaction to this sliver of information we can only hope that ABC satisfies our hunger for news with the release of a full trailer soon. Season 4 is just over two weeks away from airing, and ABC have been annoyingly quiet in promoting it. This could be the last chance ‘Agents of SHIELD’ gets unless it gains a significant audience, so I urge anyone not watching to do so. Season 3 was consistently amazing, and across a 22 episode season that’s no easy feat.

‘Agents of SHIELD’ Season 4 premieres Tuesday, September 20 at 10pm on ABC. Air dates internationally often vary greatly.

The Film Future Of “Uncharted” Is A Little, Well… Uncharted

10c38cc49d360c79f049330fc63544c0

As someone who finally got a PlayStation and then proceeded to binge all four Uncharted games in a week (who needs sleep?), I have a deep and abiding love for the fantastic characters of the games. From the disaster-prone and clever Nathan Drake, to the brilliant and bad-a Elena Fisher, to the snarky and loyal Victor Sullivan, I grew invested in their crazy adventures and intricate stories.

So when I heard that Sony was planning to make a live-action Uncharted film, I lost my mind. In late July, Joe Carnahan (The Grey, writer and director) was confirmed as the writer for film, although his current production schedule prohibited him from directing it. Other people attached to making the film happen are producers Charles Roven (Man of Steel) and Avi Arad (The Amazing Spider-Man).

However, don’t get your hopes up. Recently, Sony took the Uncharted film off of their production schedule. The film was originally slated to be released June 30th, 2017, and has been in the works since 2009. But rather than just get a “TBA” or be moved to a different release date – because, even if they got all their ducks in a row today, it’s extremely unlikely that they could have a completed film in less than a year – like other delayed major motion pictures, Uncharted was removed from the production schedule altogether.

Some speculate that this could mean that the film was cancelled entirely.

But wait! I have some (admittedly weak) evidence to the contrary. The same day that the removal was announced, writer Joe Carnahan tweeted that he had just finished the opening scene in the script – and that it was “REALLY GOOD.”

It would be really odd to announce something like that the same day as a cancellation, right? So, maybe, the film is just being postponed for a long time, and so they just decided to take it off the production schedule until they figured everything out? Maybe? Hopefully?

So I guess you can sorta kinda get your hopes up. I don’t know. It’s kind of an emotional roller coaster at this point.

So don’t be disappointed. But don’t get your hopes up too high, either. Maybe keep them at a reasonable level (or a wee bit lower), so that, if a later release date for the film is announced, you’re pleasantly surprised (and if it remains cancelled indefinitely, the pain won’t hurt so much).

Personally, I’m going to be crossing my fingers and knocking on wood everyday until I hear that the film is back on track. If they keep to the video game formula of incredible visuals, engaging story, and brilliant and dynamic characters, they’ll have a truly fantastic movie. If Sony accurately captures the relationship between Nate, Elena, and Sully, they’ll easily capture themselves a box-office hit.

So here’s hoping that they’re just pushing the release date back until 2018.

But until I find out for certain, in the words of Victor Sullivan, I’ll be “sweatin’ like a hooker in church” (but for different reasons, obviously).
