Cartoon Network Stars Are Coming Together!

In a world where Cartoon Network really is king they have had games uniting their shows in the past. This one may just be another similar game but really it is something special. As shows that really all reside in different universes a mash up like this is something to be excited about.

It’s also just the heavy hitters of Cartoon Network, the shows created by some of the most creative people out there. These shows are all breaking down barriers and doing things that shows have never done before.

These shows started out just breaking down word choice for cartoons and that was mind blowing honestly watching these shows and seeing what they could actually get away with.

Now Finn, Jake, Mordecai, Rigby, Steven and a few others are finally joining forces. After a crazy mishap involving everyone in the world’s Uncle and Grandpa, Uncle Grandpa the multiverse button is pushed, causing the multiverses to go out of wack.

Now it is up to our heroes to take out enemies together and bring the world back to how it should be. I wonder if this will open the door for more crossovers. As of now the only shows that have crossed over are Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa. But really I am sure these shows could figure some sort of crossover at, even if it was just a big movie special about the game which could be cool in its own right.

I am unsure if I will actually play this game but, I love seeing crossovers, as they unleash a whole new slew of creative ideas. All I know is this game makes me happy as a cartoon enthusiast, and I hope that it is well received just like the cartoons these characters hail from.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

The last and final movie —the ending to the zombie apocalypse that was caused by the Umbrella Corporation’s bioweapon: the T-Virus. We met Alice in 2002 with Resident Evil, then again with Apocalypse (2004), Extinction (2007), Afterlife (2010) and Retribution (2012).

On January 27, 2017, we have Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Alice will return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces, to have one final battle. And this time, she doesn’t plan on doing it alone. In this final movie, we’ll see some old faces as well as some new ones…

Are you excited for the final movie? Honestly, Resident Evil has been one of my personal favourite franchises of all time. Despite its negative reviews, the Resident Evil film series is actually the highest-grossing film series to be based on video games of all time! Regular Show Is Ending, Say It Ain’t So!

Ever since 2010 Regular Show has been one of my favorite shows to watch. A show that bathes in the mundane before  a massive shower of weird. This show has gone on for 7 seasons with the eighth and now final season of the show on the horizon.

In a surprising twist it wasn’t the creator who announced the end it was the one and only Mark Hamill who plays Skips on the show. I always think its fun to see who will say something is ending.  Sometimes things can change at the drop of a hat.

Also Hamill has been saying he’d never be the Joker again and blam he becomes the Joker again for another animated movie. So this Joker’s credibility could be a little suspect. This show is anything but Regular and that is what makes this all so interesting.

Another humorous thing is that this came out through twitter with him saying season 7 would be the last when season 8 was already confirmed to be coming out.

Well anyway, I am excited for this final season. As Cartoons are finally coming to Skatronixxx, look forward to my coverage of the final season.

Steven Universe: Watch this show!

Steven Universe is an amazing show and if you have not yet seen it I highly suggest you do. This show is highly different from many other shows as it really is lead by the power of women. The main character may be Steven but a majority of his friends are women.

These women are actually manifestations of gems and they are all really amazing. In their own ways these gems have become human do to living with humans so long. They’ve existed for a thousand years on the Earth, protecting it from beasts and even their own kind, they love the Earth because their leader loved the Earth.

Now Steven, a young boy and crystal gem, the only male gem do to a  certain circumstance, that I won’t go into here. But Steven does grow and change in this show as do all the characters. It is remarkable watching a cartoon that doesn’t stay flat but in fact changes and flows like real life.

Also like I said in my game review of Soundtrack Attack this show has fantastic music. Rebecca Sugar and her gang our just fantastic at writing music.  I am consistently blown away by the music and even endeavor to listen to it again even when I am away from the TV.

Really the mix of characters, the songs, and  the story make for an unmissable show. Another interesting thing is that do to all the gems being women this show is a marvel for it highlights the idea of Lesbian love something not really done until this show. It has always been a taboo to have gay relationships on TV but I think this show broke something in the world. If a cartoon can shatter something that has been in place for years it proves that this is a show worth watching.

So do yourself a favor and watch this show. Even if you don’t have kids, watch it. Everyone should watch it because it is a work of art. Rebecca Sugar is a brilliant woman and her show deserves all the respect it gets. So seriously become part of the Crystal Gems and Watch Steven Universe.

The Flash Makes An ‘Awkward’ Casting Choice

The CW has casted the star of MTVs Awkward as a new villain for the upcoming third season of its hit TV show The Flash. As reported by EW Ashley Rickards (Awkward, American Horror Story) has been cast in the role of Rosalind “Rosa” Dillon a.k.a The Top.

In the comics The Top is a male villain named Rosco Dillon who can spin fast enough to deflect bullets among other effects. He also uses top type weapons for his evil deeds. Executive Producers Aaron and Todd Helbing have said that Rosalind Dillon will be introduced in the fourth episode which will serve as the origin story for Mirror Masters as his partner.

The Flash returns on Tuesday October 4th on The CW. Check out the season three teaser released at San Diego Comic Con below.

 

The Expanse: SDCC 2016 – Full Panel

Don’t laugh at me. This is the first year I’ve actually paid attention to what was happening at San Diego Comic-Con. Until now, it hasn’t been something I’ve followed.

Enter The Expanse.

I can’t put my finger on why I’m totally loving this show but I can tell you I was hooked from the opening scene.

Thor: Ragnarok Set Photos Reveal New Details About Odin And Possible Doctor Strange Cameo

Filming for Thor: Ragnarok has been underway for weeks now.  And the latest report is that Odin will return.  Photographer Glenn Hunt posted this photo on his Instagram, from the Thor set, that shows Anthony Hopkins looking quite…goofy…

This photo confirms the return of Odin to the Marvel Universe.  If you recall, Marvel fans, Thor: Dark World ended with Loki assuming the throne of Asgard and Odin’s identity.  Fans were not shown what actually happened to the real Odin.  Rumors from the Thor set suggested that Loki actually banished Odin to Earth.  And now we see that he has not fared well on our planet.  More rumors suggest that Odin appears as a homeless man, ranting about the end of the world in Thor:Ragnarok; but who’s world?? Earth or Asgard?

Chris Hemsworth also posted some behind the scenes photos with Tom Hiddleston.  The interesting thing about this photo is that they are sitting in front of a NYC newsstand, and the headlines caught the eye of some fans.

And this photo surfaced on Monday of Thor holding a card with an address written on it. It’s hard to tell, but it looks a lot like 177A Bleecker St. This is the address of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum.  Could we possibly see Benedict Cumberbatch make an appearance??

Is The New Jumanji Film A Remake Or Sequel ? WE KNOW!!!

Oh Man! I’m excited! I caught the post from @therock 16hours ago on IG as Dwayne Johnson comforted his fans that the Jumanji film that he, Kevin Hart, AND Jack Black will be starring in will NOT be a Reboot or Remake of the original! He clarifies that it will be a continuation of the adventures of Jumanji 20 years later. He goes on to say that as one of the producers of this movie and as someone who loves the original, he gives his word that they will honor the legend of “Alan Parrish”.

The Rock then responded to a Kevin Hart post starting up some mess and trash talk about how he is getting ripped and ready for filming that will be starting up in 3 ½ weeks! Dwayne tells Kevin that if he wants to eat pancakes, he will eat pancakes! This fun and competitive chemistry was seen in Central Intelligence and I am expecting to see even more in Jumanji with a sprinkle of Jack Black to make this feature magical!

In addition, The Rock adds a personal note that he is glad that they will be able to do lots of the filming right here in Hawaii, my home and Dwayne Johnson’s  past residence! I am personally grateful for all films that help support our island by filming with us. Having worked in production for many years and to have family and friends who still do work in the industry, it is comforting to know they have a chance to work!There is no doubt that this film will have the adventure, the drama, and the comedy combination needed to make this feature a great success! Having three great actors as the Johnson, Hart, and Black it is definitely a recipe for great family fun! I’ll keep my ear to the ground and keep you all posted on the updates in the weeks to come!

Bleach Has Ended After 15 Years Of Publication. Tite Kubo I salute You!

Bleach has and will always be one of my favorite manga. The characters are so vivid and life like. Tite Kubo poured his soul into this series and the manga seems to have really met an end. Though he left it open for a sequel series because apparently he can’t ever really stop.

I remember first watching Bleach years ago, probably in 2005 on Toonami. It was something to look forward too as it was only on then during the weekend. One night a week seeing Ichigo and friends take on Hollows and other crazed villains.

It was one the anime that started my love for the world of Anime. Sure, I had seen Pokemon, Digimon, and Yugioh before but this was different.

It will be weird not having this manga in my life anymore. I mean there is always the chance that it could come back, but it will be odd.

There was a moment where the manga seemed to end in 2011, I won’t spoil it in case people haven’t read it. But I remember, sitting on the bus, literally crying that this was over. Little did I know it would return and 4 or so years later finish with an actual ending.

Would I be happy to see more, sure! But it’s all up to Tite Kubo.The great mangaka who wrote an amazing manga about a young man at the same time as Naruto and Luffy both started their journeys. Now, Naruto is also over but Luffy of One Piece will be sailing for almost a decade.

I can’t wait for more of Tite Kubo’s work. He will always be an important mangaka in my life. So, I salute you Kubo-San. You are magnificent. Now take a rest, you’ve earned it after 15 years of working on a single story.
