Resident Evil 7 recorder

Hello horror game fans! You all probably already know that the newest Resident Evil is on it’s way to do it’s best to make us shiver with fear. As I’ve written about this earlier, I’ll just say that the game’s makers have promised us that the game series would take a few  steps back into the good old times when the Resident Evil games were actually about scary survival horror and not about shooting around. So here’s a little fun update on the upcoming horror experience, enjoy!

 

So even though Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is supposedly using similar ambiance to the older games, the saving device is out with the old and in with the new. I personally think this recorder is a splendid idea. A bit newer but still quite eerie. Also the game is reportedly using auto-saves like all the games of this era, it remains to be seen if it affects the ambiance or not. Well I certainly I hope it won’t. Anyway, the game is coming on 24th of January next year!

World of Final Fantasy Demo out worldwide!

So this week, Square Enix has been nice enough to bless us all with a demo for World of Final Fantasy. After they gave us the Dragon Quest Builders Demo it was basically assured that we would also get this demo.

Playing it, I felt rely happy as this game has been on my radar for awhile. This game really seems like something new even though it’s a little Pokemon like.

The characters are there from past hits and they all speak which in this day and age is becoming more likely. I am really excited to see all of the monsters that I will be able to obtain.

If you didn’t know this game has 200+ monsters for you to obtain and stack. Yes, I did say stack because in this game you stack monsters to fight. You can switch between Lilikin the chibi size or Jiant which is obviously Giant. 

The story is said to be 100 plus hours and with all the different stacks and monsters that could be even higher. 

All I know is what I played definitely layer way for me to be even more excited for its October 25th release. Plus if you do play it, you get a special mirage, so if it sounds fun give it a shot!

Pokemon Sun and Moon Demo coming super soon!

Our wait is finally coming to a close for the Pokemon Sun and Moon demo. I for one am super excited to step into the Alola region and see a little of what it has to offer. I know many people are also excited as well, even though we have just about a month until the game’s release.

Now this demo will probably not be so extensive but I think that is going to be part of its charm. This demo will just whet our appetites and allows us to hold out for the big release.

Fans have been curious about what will actually be involved in this demo and recently it has come to light that we will in fact be fighting a member of Team Skull, Plumeria with a level 40 Pikachu. This Pikachu even has its Z-move at the ready so we can try it out for ourselves.

For those of you that don’t want to play this, I think you should reconsider as it is the only way you can get Ash-Greninja. Ash-Greninja is obviously Ash Ketchum’s Greninja and that is super cool. He really has been instrumental in making this season of Pokemon hands down one of, if not the best. Though of course, the Original Series was also so amazing.

I am excited to get a taste of what Alola has to offer and can’t wait until it is released in around 24 hours or less. I’m curious who is and isn’t excited for this demo, feel free to tweet me @StarkWyvrnGamer

New Pokemon and New Trainers emerge in the new trailer for Sun and Moon!

Type-Null’s evolution is revealed to be called Silvalley and it’s ability is Rk-system. Just like Arceus this Pokemon can change its type depending on the disk it holds. Really an interesting Pokemon, he will only evolve when he fully trusts his trainer and breaks free of his helmet.

Jangmo-o the new Dragon type becomes Hakamo-o which is Dragon- Fighting. Clearly a rough and tumble Pokemon, ready for a fight. It really does look quite cool.

It’s final form Kamo-0  who is also Dragon-Fighting is quite majestic and has the new move Clanging Scales which while it does a lot of damage lowers its defense. I really like its design and am certainly having this bruiser on my team when this game comes out!

Bounsweet the cute little baby Grass type evolves into Steenee who is also Grass Type and is still the Fruit Pokemon. Looking quite fashionable now for a pokemon that started out in diapers.

Steenee evolves into Tsareena a super majestic royal Pokemon. It is said only the strongest Steenee evolve into Tsareena. Tsareena has the amazing ability Queenly Majesty which can stop opponents from using a move right off the cuff. I really do think this Pokemon looks like a fierce fighter, and that is good!

Cutie fly evolves into Ribombee a Pokemon who was first seen in a trailer a while ago. It is another fasionable Pokemon as it has a nice scarf.

Alolan Grimer is joined by Alolan Muk. Grimer and Muk look actually quite nice in game. When I first saw Alolan Muk I wasn’t impressed but in game he looks awesome.

Also revealed were Olivia the Kahuna of Akala Island anda Ilima the first trial captain. Olivia’s Pokemon are of the Rock-Type persuasion and her first Pokémon is Nosepass. It has been said she also owns a Lycanroc.It is nice to see more people of differing skin colors and this kahuna looks like quite the opponent.

Ilima is a Normal type trial captain and not much is known about this character.

With more and more news coming out weekly, and the game just about 5 weeks away, I am getting more and more hyped for this awesome new game. Pokemon Sun and Moon comes out in most of the world on November 18th and on November 25th for Europe. Below is the trailer if you haven’t had the chance to see it yet!

World of Final Fantasy Opening Released

World of Final Fantasy is looking to be something amazing, and I am so excited to get my hands on it come October 25th. After revealing that people outside of Japan will be able to play the demo for this game on October 17th, they released the opening to the game.

I really do enjoy when games have an anime flair and style because that means anime cut-scenes can always occur. This game is no different and with the chibi style flowing through the game it just begs for an anime form.

This opening is packed with monsters and characters fans have really grown to love over the long life of the Final Fantasy series. This game is really going to be something that I think will provide fans and newbies alike with a fantastic Final Fantasy experience.

Catching these creatures and stacking them is also something that hasn’t been done in a game so I am excited to really try something out that is so new. If you like Final Fantasy, anime, and Pokemon style monster capturing then you will find something in this game. Even though I haven’t had as much exposure to this series as I would have liked, I am so ready to jump in and play this game.

This game may look cute but it really has such in depth world of playing to discover, so if you can at least give the demo a shot on the 17th!

Below is the trailer which I have already watched multiple times because it is amazing. This game is coming out on the 25th in the US, the 27th in Japan, and finally the 28th in Europe.

New Computer Smelling Candle!

Ha, ha, ha I thought this was a prank when I first saw this! As strange and odd as this may sound there has been a candle scent made to smell like a brand new freshly unboxed Mac computer! Yes! I said it! A fragranced candle made to smell like a new computer! Well, I guess if there are people that want the “New Car” smell, why not a new computer? How accurate is it? Mac Stadium gave it the test and rated the accuracy a 9 on a scale of 1-10. Which is great news for Apple enthusiast.

The candles are 100% soy wax with a special scent combination to include: Mint, Peach, Lavender, Mandarin, and Sage. They are all hand poured at the company’s hometown in Charleston, South Carolina. The candles are meant to last between 45-55 hours of burn time. Believe it or not, this is a HOT item selling for $24 and is noted with the company that they sold out their first batch of inventory in just one day!

So if you’re interested in getting one of these specialty candles, there will be more available later this month. I, for one, will just wait to enjoy that scent when I buy my next Mac Computer!

Play Expo 2016- Manchester

Play expo 2016 was happening in Manchester this weekend, and it was good. Yeah I just said good for many reasons if I’m honest, but let’s have a chat about it.

This year, it was actually a special event for me as a fan of two great games that made their apparition, Tekken 7 and DragonBall Xenoverse 2 were available to play for the first time in Manchester and it was an occasion for me to not miss it. I mean it’s two great games made by Namco Bandai waiting from a big numbers of fan of fighting games or Dragon Ball series. 

But also, they were a tournament as every year of

Tekken, DragonBall, Street Fighter 5, King of Fighters, Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct

. But Tekken and DragonBall Xenoverse 2 tournaments were organised by the MBA  (Manchester Battle Arena) which are  the UK champions in Tekken tournaments. 

There were also other games as the Playstation VR with Battle Station and… that’s it on the new generation games. But to be honest there were many other games as well on old generation from the first Nintendo to the Playstation 3. With games as Goldeneye, Star Fox, Time Splitters 2, Halo, Time Crisis, Parasyte Eve 2 and many more.

 I mean if you were a gamer in the 80’s and 90’s, you would have been in haven I can assure you that. There was a lot of people who actually turned in to the event with many programmers, players who compete in international stage of tournaments as well plus the Eidos team who are making the latest Tomb Raider showed up as well to celebrate the 20 years of this fabulous game (even though Uncharted crushed that game now). 
There was a cosplay show where you’d have seen any sort of TV show, Anime or video games characters but I’m not gonna lie, the most impressive one I found was… actually I can’t tell you for so many reasons. Anyway let’s talk about more of the event. As I went with some friends the days started by trying to register for the Tekken7 and DragonBall Xenoverse 2  but unfortunately we were too late as they were already full of participants for both! 

So we decided to go on the Namco Bandai booth to play Tekken7 as me and my friend got a rivalry on this for 4 years in a row but unfortunately for me I lost 4 times in a row with an inflicted perfect finished… after so much sadness into me, it was time to go see all the goodies that stands were selling and you could found anything actually, back packs of Attack on Titan, pillow of pikachu and many more as well, but also you could buy Japanese imported straight from Japan as wasabi crisps, drink of DragonBall,  ramen… 

The event were more focus this year on indie games and ‘remember the past’ kinda thing with a whole of installation of pc with the first Doom game, all connected to play a giant multiplayers. 

But seriously the event was more focus on the two big games that Bandai Namco were about to release and also the 20 years of Lara Croft. But to be honest guys that’s what most happens during the event. Tournaments, goldies of the era, goodies all over the places, beautiful cosplay, yeah it was still good to be honest as a hardcore gamer. I just hope that next year, they will have more games of the new generation with the Xbox Scorpio and the Playstation 4 Pro. 

But like I said, I still enjoyed it. But next it will be Paris Games Week.

This is Halloween, A great time for mobile gaming!

 

Halloween is one of the best holidays around, and not just because of the free candy. Of course being as old as I am I’d rather just go out and buy a small bag of it, to not share but c’est la vie.

Mobile games are something that have really begun to come into their own. They are now able to craft amazing games for phones. Depending on the game they even have access to great teams with so many interesting ideas. Now I don’t play tons of mobile games, okay maybe I dabble in tons.

Halloween is the time of year where these teams really go all out. Specifically I am talking about games like Simpsons Tapped Out, Family Guy Quest for Stuff, and Marvel Avengers Academy. These three games carry some great characters and weight because they are good programming.

Simpsons Tapped Out is the oldest of the games but with such a collection of characters the possibilities are endless. It is such a surprise seeing what they come up with. Every year there is something different to do, with tons of cool prizes and gags galore. Plus the writing is spot on Simpsons and that is spectacular.

This update revolves around Director Lisa and the monster academy. They are invading the town because they heard of a director. Lisa of course is cocky and wants to make the best film ever. Homer and the adults fight giant worms while the kids trick or treat. Try and collect as many coins as you can to trade them in for all sorts of goodies!

Family Guy Quest For Stuff is the second oldest and has all of the humor of the show. It can be crude like the show also but what’s so bad about a little dirty humor. This game is great because even if you have to purchase them, they really pull in all sorts of characters.

This event revolves around James Woods and his mansion previously seen in the Season 9 premiere where some key cast members died. Will James Woods finally be in the games? Yes, yes he is, better have some Reses handy to lead him to a trap if he gets evil.

Marvel Avengers Academy not only has marvel characters to collect it has awesome costumes. Marvel Avengers Academy is a College version of your favorite marvel characters. With all sorts of events passed and more to come this game never dissapoints. From humorous costumes like Loki dressed as Thor to new characters like Misty Knight, Ghost Rider and Blade this event looks like a blast.

So, if you like any of these shows or universes and haven’t given them a try jump in give it a shot. I really do enjoy them all because you get to build your own playspace. They may be mindless and require you to wait but they can be fun diversions and that is always a good thing.

What are ya Playin? October 7th, 2016

I am such a glutton for punishment, I’ll tell you what. I am currently investing time in Yokai Watch Bony Spirits while playing a little more Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten past.

Yokai Watch 2 is really a massive game and there is so much to do I’ll probably never complete it all. But seeing as it an RPG and that I beat the final boss, I can be happy. If you haven’t played it, I highly suggest jumping in. You don’t need to play the first one as this one takes all from the first one and doubles it. With 300+ Yokai to collect, 30 bosses to fight, and quests galore, pick up this game. It may seem childish but underneath there is a vicious online battle community that is on par with Pokemon.

Next week I’ll be getting Dragon Quest Builders which is basically Minecraft on steroids. I’ve never been a minecraft fan because honestly it looks like garbage. But, DQB looks amazing and after playing the demo I am so stoked to play it.

Also excited for October 25th to play World of Final Fantasy which is evident from my article I posted saying as much.

There are also demos for Pokemon Sun and Moon/ World of Final Fantasy which I will be playing before the month is out and I love demos, I really do!

Also currently playing Simpsons Tapped out, Family Guy Quest for Stuff, and Marvel Avengers Academy because the Halloween events are a blast.

So really, gaming is something I clearly love to do, I can’t get enough and am a glutton for punishment. Can’t wait for the next gaming experiences to come my way!

Horizon Zero Dawn’s Subquests sound like a blast from the Past…or Future?

Horizon Zero Dawn is a game that I am really looking forward too. As a lover of open world games and someone who really enjoys how different each game can be this looks like a fun game. Running around in a world that is like the past but clearly built around a modern world just sounds cool.

Guerilla Games is hard at work making sure the game is perfect and they are sharing tidbits of information here and there. They recently revealed 5 different types of sidequests that will send Alloy on adventures to fight monsters and grow stronger.

The first major sidequest is going to be the most brutal as they are called Corruption Zones. The baddest of the bad lie in wait here for Alloy to wander in. Will she be able to leave these areas unscathed? That remains to be seen, but if she can she will find things that will really aid her quest.

The other big sidequest is some form of “Hunter’s Guild” in which Alloy will take missions to fight thus and so with a certain weapon. She will have to be on her A game as clearly players will find certain weapons more appealing then others.

Of course there are also random quests which can pop up any time. Tribes you meet will also have quests for you to undertake, as you work to become the head of the tribes. This prehistoric style woman is going to have to work hard to rule the tribes and with the help of the player and the completion of side quests she will be able to do it.

Horizon Zero Dawn is still literally on the horizon and will stay there for awhile as the game comes out February 28th 2017. I am still ready to jump into this world and find out exactly what happened to change our world into this. Alloy’s adventure really is looking like it will be a worth while endeavor.
