Mr Sinister To Appear In Wolverine 3

So we have been waiting to see when Mister Sinister would appear in a X-Men related film and thanks to Bryan Singer and CinemaBlend we finally have our answer. Mister Sinister will appear in Hugh Jackman’s last appearance as Wolverine in Wolverine 3 so we finally have some details around a film that has been cloaked in mystery.

It’s fair to guess that the role will be played by Richard E. Grant his character has been listed as being a ‘Mad Scientist’.

Singer also went on to mention an original plan for a Deadpool related post credits scene as the director wanted to include a tease toward Deadpool 2.

“We did a tag that we really couldn’t do — which I can stick on the DVD. It would have been for Deadpool, and unfortunately it wouldn’t have had the right costume for the character they’re going to add to Deadpool [2]. I don’t want to give that away.”

The Punisher: Casts Ben Barnes

The next Marvel series to get a spin off will be The Punisher and they have just cast English actor Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) as a season regular on the show. The character information is a bit sketchy at the moment but the best rumor I can find is that he will play Bobby Saint the son of crime lord Howard Saint.

Bobby Saint was originally played by James Carpinello back in the first ever Punisher movie (2004) which starred Thomas Jane as The Punisher, in this adaption of The Punisher it was Bobby Saint who took of the whole of Frank Castles family in a massacre at a family BBQ before Frank finally gained vengeance against the Saint family.

There is still no release date for The Punisher series but what we have learnt so far is that the series will also include the character Micro as mentioned in a previous article.

Big Hero 6 Star Proves He Can Be Robin In DCEU With Concept Video

The actor who voiced Hiro in the Disney animated film Big Hero 6 has made a big push to be considered as Robin for the DCEU by posting a concept fight video.

Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6, Supah Ninjas) has been vocal about wanting to be Robin, specifically Tim Drake the 3rd Robin.  He’s been tweeting and mentioning in interviews about wanting to play Tim Drake in the DCEU for some time but now he’s taking it a step further to prove he has what it takes, at least physically, to don a cape and be Batman‘s sidekick. At the end of the video he address Ben Affleck directly using a quote from Tim Drake in the comics that Batman needs a Robin.

In the DCEU the only Robin that has been confirmed to exist is Jason Todd. His damaged and defiled suit is seen in the Batcave in Batman Vs. Superman. Jason Todd was the second Robin in the comics. If the DCEU sticks to the comic storyline like they have done pretty well so far that could mean that Dick Greyson is out there as Nightwing and Tim Drake is next in line to be Robin. Ryan Potter would definitely fit the bill as Tim Drake so here’s hoping that Ben Affleck and DC take notice.

Happy Supernatural Day!

You may have noticed a reoccurring hashtag today on Twitter and it was trending for most of the day… #SupernaturalDay

The Show premiered on this day back in 2005 … That’s right Dean busted into Sam’s apartment (and our homes) and said those magic words… “Dad’s on a hunting trip and he hasn’t been home in a few days” and none of our lives have been the same again.

So, I’d just like to say thank you to this Famdom, that believes that family doesn’t end in blood and is always there to pick each other up and hold the pieces together.  This Famdom actually got me this gig here at Skatronixxx.  I like to think it’s because the boss just loves my biting wit and my witty repartee … but it’s probably just because he couldn’t get anyone else.

Anyhoo, The Show returns on October 13th, and I’ll be back reviewing each episode.  The CW was very nice and gave us a all a present for Supernatural Day… a new promo poster!!  So Happy Supernatural Day everyone!!

New Promo For Vampire Diaries Final Season

It’s the final season of The CW‘s The Vampire Diaries.  *sniff, sniff*  I’m not crying… you’re crying!  It makes me sad and excited to see how they end it all at the same time.  They’re keeping things under wraps when it comes to the big question… Will Elena return to give Damon (and the majority of the fandom) a happy ending?

In the promo, Damon is looking like his gorgeous bad boy self and Stefan‘s Hero Hair is on point.  Damon says “you can’t save me”, and of course, we know Stefan’s gonna try.  And, we’re all waiting with bated breath to watch him do it.

The best thing about this promo, aside from the Too-Gorgeous-For-Words Brothers Salvatore, is the song … that’s Jeff Beck’s Live in the Dark from the new album Loud Hailer.

October 21st can’t get here quick enough!

Chris Pratt Confirms GOTG Will be “The Biggest Spectacle Movie Of All Time”

We just can’t stop with the Guardians of the Galaxy gossip! As we count down the days until 5th May 2017 when we can finally continue our adventure with Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and (fan favourite) Groot, the news from planet GOTG just keeps coming. James Gunn has confirmed Vin Diesel will still be voicing Baby Groot; Vin Diesel spilled the beans on his Facebook page that the gang would be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War; and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler called out to James Gunn in a role for the as-yet unconfirmed third film. Chris Pratt is adding to this, by waxing lyrical about GOTG Vol.2 in the Toronto Sun.

“It’s a fabulous script,” the former Parks and Recreation star gushed. “I think it’s going to be — I’m not using hyperbole, here – I think it’s going to be the biggest spectacle movie of all time… I’m fortunate. I’m fortunate in so many ways. I couldn’t count the ways, even if I tried.” This, coming from the man who got to sing a tribute to Pawnee’s hero Lil’ Sebastian, is high praise indeed.

The second instalment of the franchise will focus on Pratt‘s character Peter Quill tracking down his father, Ego, who is a human planet. Sadly, it is unlikely that he will be portrayed in any way similar to Unicron in the 1986 Transformers movie (looking somewhat like real planet-sized human Orson Welles) – as director James Gunn has confirmed he will be taking man-sized form.

Sadly, not an early picture of Ego…

 

Pratt wasn’t giving away any other spoilers that what we already know: Kurt Russell will appear as Star Lord’s father, more awesome music will be used and (hopefully) we’ll be treated to a trailer before Christmas – sorry James, I know this is a sore point! He also neglected to disclose how large Sean Gunn‘s role will be this time around, which (as a Gilmore Girls fan) is the question I really would like answering! Come on Chris, throw me a bone here! He left the interview with a last thought, which is in no way a spoiler, as we all know it will be the case:

Agents Of Shield Season 4: Official Poster Released

We are just one week away now from the Season 4 premiere of Marvel’s ‘Agent of Shield’ and the reveals keep on rolling in. The latest is the release of the official poster for Season 4.

The poster contains all the principal cast members, as well as the ominously fiery form of Ghost Rider hovering above them all. It’s not long now before we discover what havoc he will wreak for our Agents, and I for one am very excited to see it all play out.

In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack, and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. They have been trying to track down and capture Daisy, aka Quake, who has gone rogue in an attempt to atone for sins from the past. But with the world believing that Daisy is a dangerous outlaw who has taken down banks and bridges, the new Director has no qualms about taking her down for good. Agent May is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz and Simmons have taken a big step forward in their relationship. But with Simmons’ new promotion as Special Advisor to the Director in Science and Technology, Fitz, as well as her former team members, finds it hard to confide in or trust her since she’s now the Director’s confidant.

 ‘Agents of Shield’ Season 4 premieres Tuesday, September 20th 10pm on ABC.

Pokemon Generations Shorts Incoming!

 

Pokemon animation usually just consists of Ash’s escapades and while the show is pretty great there is a need for something more.

Ever since Pokemon began people have wanted to see the battles in all their glory. Sometimes the anime can be a little tame for the older viewers.

Ever since they released the Red and Blue Special fans have been clamoring for more.

Now we are getting what we have asked for in the form of shorts. Shorts with all the action and realism they could fit into a Pokemon series.

This series will run until December 23 of this year and show off some of the greatest moments in Pokemon lore.

The poster is amazing and shows off the Villainous leaders as they are central to much of the series plot.

I am excited to see more and see these amazing scenes fully realized. The Red and Blue Special was fantastic. If this is as good then I will be happy. Clearly they are bringing their A game with this series.

Look for it on YouTube and get ready to be blown away by Pokemon Action! The generations are coming and they will be bringing on an onslaught of the best Pokemon has to offer.

Steven’s Got a Gunn – Tyler Wants in for GOTG3

The trailer hasn’t even hit the screens yet for next year’s favourite movie Guardians of the Galaxy vol2, but celebrity fans are already buttering up director James Gunn for a role in the third instalment. Last month, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler was promoting independent film Happy Birthday, and took the opportunity to reach out to Gunn let him know he’s got what it takes. He told People Magazine, “I would do anything to be in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 – are you listening James Gunn?”

But James Gunn didn’t miss a thing. He addressed the comment during a Facebook Q&A, explaining that he had heard that Tyler was crazy for a role, and that he’d met him briefly before and would love to work with him. Gunn directed the veteran rocker’s daughter Liv Tyler in the underrated 2010 movie Super (if you’ve not watched it and you’re looking for a film, I recommend it. Ellen Page is particularly good, delivering tons of sweet emotion) and he met Steven at a screening.

Gunn didn’t tell Tyler to dream on, but he didn’t say the job was his either – possibly because the former Troma prodigy hasn’t confirmed he will be back at the helm for a 3rd part of the Guardians franchise. James Gunn did take to Twitter after the Q&A to explain that if GOTG3 does happen, he wouldn’t leave Tyler cryin’ for a part. So James, next question, if you’re giving out roles in the next adventure of Star Lord and co, can I have one too?
