The Goldbergs Season 4 Premiere Info

key-art

One of the best comedies on television is about to return for its 4th Season, and ABC is preparing us to delve right back into the colourful history of 1980-something. ‘The Goldbergs’ Season 4 premiere entitled: Breakfast Club will pay homage to the movie of the same name, continuing ‘The Goldbergs’ tradition of celebrating the great cinema of the 80’s in their trademark hilarious and heartfelt fashion.

Adam works on his new persona for the first day of high school that he hopes will up his coolness level. Meanwhile, Beverly gets her teaching certification to become a substitute teacher. But when she is demoted to sub-janitor, she sends the Goldberg kids to a Saturday detention, but it is Principal Ball who must oversee the kids. Later, Murray arrives and takes over where he gives an important lesson.

The premiere looks set to kickstart some running storylines through the season, as we get to see Adam cope with High School, and everyone cope with Beverly becoming a teacher. ABC also released a myriad of new pictures from the episode, giving us an idea of the ‘Breakfast Club’ persona each character will undertake.

In addition to all of this, ABC also released a mock Music Video for the song ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ which is famous for being played during the opening and closing credits of ‘The Breakfast Club’. It seems they’re going all out with this episode, and it could be one of the best tributes yet.

‘The Goldbergs’ Season 4 premieres Wednesday, September 21st 8pm on ABC.

The Flash Season 3 ‘Time Strikes Back’ Trailer

A new TV season is fast approaching and networks are releasing pictures and promos left, right and centre. The latest to do so is The CW with a new look at ‘The Flash’. Just to get you back up to speed, ‘The Flash’ Season 2 ended with Barry travelling back in time to save his mother, effectively erasing everything that had happened since the show began, and creating the ‘Flashpoint’ paradox that fans are so hyped for; that The CW is using to drive the promotion behind this latest series.

What’s interesting about this latest trailer is that it seems Barry wastes no time in revealing this is not the timeline he’s used to. Those behind the show have said that ‘Flashpoint’ would not last long, but it seems the weight of Barry’s actions have him in a great rush to fix the damage he’s caused.

The trailer further hints at how characters have changed, with Cisco in particular an all together different character. What’s interesting is that it appears he owns Star Labs. Given Dr Wells shouldn’t be dead in this timeline it will be intriguing to see how this plays out. Generally with time travel in TV shows though, it’s best not to try to make sense of things too much. You’re just asking for a headache otherwise.

‘The Flash’ Season 3 premieres Tuesday, October 4th 8pm on The CW.

bbc-america

Hang on to your hats my fellow Whovians, this year the BBC will be at the New York Comic con, with the Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi and his new companion, Pearl Mackie! In addition, the Doctor Who spin off ‘Class’ will be in the panels as well as the showrunners.

doctorwho_pearlmackie

Fans will get a sneak peak of the Christmas special and what’s to come from the show, (hope some of it gets leaked) and they will also find out what the showrunner has plans for his future. And if only I had the money and time I would be driving my happy butt from Oregon across states to New York to see this… ugh. Someday.

More to be revealed as we get closer to NY comic con  ^_^

Pictures Of Dan Stevens As Beast In ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Leaked

untitled

Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme.. Beauty and the Beast… Let me tell you, Dan Stevens’ live action Beast is pretty hot. Wouldn’t mind getting me some of that… *drool*. You may know this beautiful face from his roles in such films as ‘Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tome,’ ‘The Guest,’ and even ‘Vamps’ with Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter.

Some images where leaked out the other day on face book of our dashing prince, rocking the disheveled robes and longer hair… And pulling it off very nicely. I’m not one for long hair on guys, but this man does make it look good… mmm. All I can say is, ladies if you have a fan, better be bringing it to the theaters on opening day because it’s going to be all sorts of smoky hot in there.

Images have also leaked of what our Cogsworth and Lumiere will look like, with a more updated appearance. Poor Cogsworth though, they kind of made him a little more hefty in the base… I’m afraid this may give him an image complex. Well regardless, he and Lumiere look amazing and their roles along side the Prince will be amazing for the big screen or sure, (and a dream for all us ladies) ^_^

The Doctor To Fly His T.A.R.D.I.S. Onto Family Guy

David_Tennant_to_guest_star_in_Family_Guy_as_the_Tenth_Doctor.jpg

‘Family Guy’ is well known for their very adult humor and has had their share of special guest appearances. This time it looks like they are going a little more wibbly wobbly route with the fan fav Timelord, the tenth Doctor, with the proper voice of our beloved David Tennant! (*Girly squeals*)

But my lovelies, don’t get your panties all tasseled yet, it appears to be just a cameo, not like they are doing the whole episode ‘Who’ style or anything like that.

(Spoilers)

It’s basically the Griffins sitting on the couch watching TV, and they are watching an episode of Docor Who. You see the TARDIS, Ten and Rose, she is running up saying that they need to get to the 21st century because the aliens are attacking. Well, Ten won’t let them into the TARDIS just yet. Rose yet again tries to push the urgency of them needing to leave now, and the Doctor says for them to hold on while he opens the door and fans out the TARDIS, hinting that he may have dropped a pant bomb in there. (LOL)

I will post a link here at the bottom of the scene if you all want a glimpse of the Doctor’s cameo appearance or just want to hear Tennant speak as the Doctor again. ^_^

Doctor Who SN1 EP1 – ‘The Name Of The Doctor’

Ah, the old black and white, cheesy effects, not-so-great acting of the very first episode of Doctor Who. The first season aired on November 23rd 1963. I am going to give a weekly update and review here of the past episodes. Some of you may have seen them all, and others may have only seen the newer ones from Eccleston on. And there may be some who have never seen it, if this is you, be kind to yourself and go watch it now… Right now.

an-unearthly-child001

Ok so on to the review. As mentioned above, the first episodes are in black and white. The props are well, questionable, but given the time and era in which it was made, I guess it’s the best they had. And the effects, oh, the way they had the TARDIS “flying” through space and transporting them to another planet was fantastically corny. The sound of the ship was kind of distorted and almost pitchy, made me wince a little bit. But over all fun just the same.

In the first episode, we meet the Doctor and his granddaughter, Susan Fore. (first female Timelord guys). Now the first impression of our Doctor from the 60s is well, he is old, like really old. And is a little gruff to say the least. He isn’t the fun and goofy doctors some of us have grown accustomed to. In fact he is very mature, wise, and a bit cold, but still carries the aloof and somewhat quirky nature we have grown to know.

In this episode, the granddaughter is followed to the TARDIS by her mentors/teachers, Barbara and Ian, where they encounter the first Doctor himself. They insist she is inside of the TARDIS and they want to see her. The old Doctor acts a bit like he doesn’t know what they are talking about or goes off side from time to time until finally allowing them in the big blue box.

And this is where we get to see for the first time what the Time Machine looked like on the inside… big dots, big dots everywhere, and the middle time console is a bit goofy to say the least, but again, this was the 1960s. And there, standing by the heart of the TARDIS is the granddaughter, Susan, that everyone is in search of. She turns and is shocked that her peers are standing there, and wonders why they have been let in. This leads to some arguing about what is going on, why they are here, and letting them all go. The Doctor seems pretty hellbent that no one is leaving the TARDIS, making arguments that the newcomers know too much, and whisks them all away on the first adventure the TARDIS and crew will see. The show ends after the absolutely wonderfully corny way that they show them traveling through time and space and landing on a planet. There is a shadowy figure that you see against the sand just before the film ends.

Though the effects were very questionable, watching them travel through time with some light over drafts and weird looks on the characters faces, this was just, well, yeah, corny. That the main word I can use I guess. But this was what they had to work with and knowing this, I would say they did pretty good then. I enjoyed the first show and feel they should be watched by all Whovians. Just if anything, to give you the idea and culture from which the most loved, cult following, longest running tv series came from. ^_^

Godzilla Is To Return From The Deep In A NEW Animated Movie

Tokyo smashing, fire breathing giant lizard we have grown to love has been on the big screen for years. Starting with badly dubbed voiceovers and men crammed in hard to maneuver costumes, 1970s TV cartoon animated series by Hannah Barberra, to 20th century special effects, making him look even more life-like than before.

hanna_barbera_toho_godzilla_1978-500x371 godzilla

(So, not either of these guys :p )

Our Kaiju with the attitude is now going to be making his way back to the animated world. And this time not as goofy or corny as the 1970s cartoon. (you know, the one with Godzookie) It appears that the animated artist will be no other than Tokyo’s Polygon Pictures, who are the ones behind such anime as Ghost in the Shell, (nice) and will be more CG animation than hand drawn.

I think this is super fantastic, I am huge Godzilla fan and can’t wait to watch this with my son, who is also a huge fan. We have watched and own every single movie/show out there of him so yeah, we kind of like the big guy. I just hope they keep with tradition and not go with silly ‘let’s make Godzilla our friend’ crap as they did in the old cartoons. I liked those and all too but, this is Godzilla, he needs to destroy and fight monsters…. It’s what he was made to do ^_^

Is A Superman ‘Man Of Steel’ Sequel In The Works?

And ladies all over the world squeal and rejoice! The sound so loud and deafening you can hear it from the highest mountain top….. Ok so maybe that’s an over exaggeration but you get the point.

fangirling_by_bellamira-d6shvdf

It may not be fully confirmed yet, but it does sound like the sequel for the red-caped hottie may be in the workings. Man of Steel first debuted in 2013, becoming a hit in the box office and fans have been waiting for some time now for there to be a part two. Though the movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice did not make it so big in the screen monies, the newly released Suicide Squad brought in such a big cash flow that it may have lit a fire under their butts to keep the Superman franchise going.

Fans are curious as to where they may go with the story as well.

(SPOILERS)

maxresdefault

We know that in the Dawn of Justice movie, the world has come to grieve the death of the blue super dude, and we know he will be returning in the Justice League as announced at SDCC, alongside the Flash, Aquaman, Batman, and Wonderwoman. But what will the story be for when the solo sequel is brought to life? Will the Superman in the Justice League movie be a clone or robot like in the comics, thus being discovered in the end of Justice League? This could bring a new story for the sequel for sure, plus maybe give an opening for Supergirl to make her debut in the DC movie world….

Well, this my friends is exciting to think about. If you know your comics then I’m sure you to have your own thoughts and speculations as to what the sequel may hold. I would love to hear your ideas as well. But until then, I know I will be anxiously awaiting to hear more, and hopefully confirm the filming of the solo sequel. ^_^

John Schaech Of ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Wants To Play Wolverine

Let’s just get this out there, I don’t think anyone could accept anyone else playing the role accept for Hugh Jackman. He has owned this role for so long, and I have mad respect for this actor who actually stuck with it. No matter how small or big his part, he has always been a part of the X-Men universe and always been the Wolverine.

hugh-jackman-muscles-claws-in-the-wolverine

But there was an announcement by the actor John Schaech, while being interviewed at the Heroes and Villains convention, that he would like to play the part of the X-Man with the anger problems: “If I could play any character, it’d be Wolverine.” Apparently Jackman’s Wolverine inspired Mr. Schaech to start acting. Interesting wouldn’t you think?

John Schaech will be returning this next season of Legends of Tomorrow, his role being again that of the mangled-faced gunslinger Jonah Hex. Which, if you ask me, is perfect for him. Jonah kind of has his own attitude problems and will be good practice for future roles should there ever be a need to redo the Wolverine genre. ^_^

Chris Hemsworth’s Body Scared John Krasinski Off Cap Role

krasinski-conan

Imagine an alternate universe, where the Marvel Cinematic Universe got cast in a completely different way. Rumour has it that Tom Cruise was in the running for Iron Man, Joaquin Phoenix could have been the Hulk, and Emily Blunt could have been Black Widow. But Blunt did not choose wisely, and honoured her commitment to a turkey of enormous proportions, Jack Black vehicle Gulliver’s Travels. Well played, Em! Her husband John Krasinski (The Office) was almost part of the franchise too, as he made the shortlist to play Captain America. (Fun Fact: If you go on IMDB trivia, you will see that John Krasinski was short listed for loads of major movie roles…. There’s sooo many!)

Krasinski got the enviable experience of auditioning for the role of Cap, and even got to wear the famous suit. However, Krasinski told Conan O’Brien on a recent episode of his talk show that he pulled out of the shortlist after meeting Thor star Chris Hemsworth. Krasinski said “I was putting on the suit, and I got right to my waist, I was still shirtless. I was feeling pretty good about myself. I wasn’t 13 Hours yet, but felt pretty good. And then all of a sudden, Chris Hemsworth walks by as Thor, and goes, ‘Hey, mate.’ And I was like, ‘I’m good. This is stupid. I’m not Captain America.'”

He’s not given up hope though. Krasinski is a huge Marvel fan and would love to be part of the Universe – possibly as a villain. Considering everyone on the planet appears to be getting featured in Avengers: Infinity War, surely there’s got to be something he can do!

The episode of Conan aired on 24th August. Watch the clip here:
