A Look At The Possible Villains In Jessica Jones Season 2

marvels-jessica-jones

**WARNING** THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS! 🙂

We watched tentatively when Jessica Jones snapped the neck of Kilgrave (played by a beloved icon, David Tennant…trust me, I had a hard time watching this part), ridding Miss Jones of the evil that was haunting her in the season finale. So I guess they decided to not have him unsnap his own neck to return as the villain in season two. Darn. But it sound like the possibilities for the next season will be fantastic for those who follow the comic book world.

We remember the policeman (Wil Traval) who had a back story and some relationship with Jessica in the first season… Well, he may become the character of Nuke, the old red white and blue faced man from the comics. And yes my friends, he is the ID to our patriotic power man Captain America. In the second season there would appear to be something not ‘right’ about him. Then later he pretty much snaps and goes around enforcing his own brand of justice to whatever extent he deems necessary.

The other possibility is that Trish Walker may transform in to Hellcat. Yes that Trish, the one she told she loved right before destroying the first foe in season one finale. Which facing her beloved buddy may be the anguish needed to make season two as wonderful as season one. Though I realize that the role of Hellcat is supposed to go to a woman by the name of Patsy Walker in the Marvel universe who attempts to help the Avengers, she and Nuke are Netflix versions of the Marvel comic book fiends and could bring in wonderful complications for our super strength heroine. Though they may have big feet to fill, since Tennant brought so much creepiness to the first villain Kilgrave.

There is even rumors that both these villains may be in season two. Well that could be interesting, though I hope it wont appear to feel rushed at some point since we are now focusing on two instead of one. You know what I mean, when they place two villains in, the first seems to go out quick and the conflict is kind of a let down, but still gives a big climax to the second one. Though the second one is great, I hate feeling like they could have done more for the first one. Regardless, knowing there will be a season two of Jessica Jones is wonderful, and whoever is the opposing menace to our leading lady will sure bring us to the edge of our seats again I am sure. ^_^

Jason Mamoa To Star In The Crow Remake… Whaaaaaa?

NEq26tDneQCYtx_1_b

I loooooooooved the original Crow movie. I watched it all the time, got to the point to where I knew each line by heart: “it can’t rain all the time,” or “onions make you fart, big time,” “does the corpse have a familiar face?” and my fav, “Mother is the word for god on the hearts and lips of all children”… yeah, I loved it… loooooved it. But of course, as in true Hollywood fashion, (because it seems they have run out of ideas) they are remaking yet another movie, this time The Crow. Personally I think they should just make a Crow movie, like they did a couple times, such as City of Angels and Salvation. But that would not be in Hollywood tradition, so whatever. (They better do it justice, that’s all I’m saying)

The-Crow_Alternate2.png

Their leading guy who is in talks to play the Crow is our most recent Aquaman, Jason Momoa. I think this could work. He definitely has the hair, and his big intimidating figure could fit for our dark death-dealer. Jason showed his awesome acting abilities as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, then showed us his underwater feats as Aquaman in The Dawn of Justice, and now may be adding another notch to his acting belt by playing the Crow in the remake of the 1994 movie.

Though the excitement is there for another Crow movie, even if it’s a remake of the original, are they not aware of the curse that seems to happen with the Crow titles? Now we all know about the Brandon Lee, how he was shot and killed while filming, almost costing the movie its premier… And what about the TV show, The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, where there was another accidental death when an unexpected explosion killed stuntman Marc Akerstream, as well as other mishaps during the making of the other Crow movies is the Dragon King ready to face these challenges? Let alone can he fill the already super sized shoes that the late great Brandon Lee did once before?

It sounds like they are doing the same story as before, but hitting closer to the comics than the original movie did, so I guess there may be something new in there besides the faces, but I’m afraid the stout Aquaman may be too muscular to play the white faced slender Crow. But who knows, this is only rumors for now, it may change again. But hopefully, whatever they do, they rock it, because this girl right here will not take less than the best for the Crow movies. ^_^

Deadpool 2 Wants Kyle Chandler And Mackenzie Davis As Cable And Domino

deadpool-01

The fact that the biggest movie of the year to have a sequel is wonderful to say the least. And I’m sure there are many who want to be a big part of the action of production this next round. But it seems that the producer and Ryan Reynolds have their eyes on two specific people to play the role of the next two X-Men to appear in the movie: Kyle Chandler and Mackenzie Davis. You may know Kyle Chandler from his roles in Bloodline and Friday Night Lights. And it seems that the producer deems him fit to play the role of our time-traveling mutant who has come to change the future, and the lady of  his heart is someone you may know from the TV series Halt and Catch Fire.

Quick back ground of the characters in case you are not familiar. Cable is the offspring of both Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey) who can see into the future and travel through time trying to fix it (wish I could do this sometimes lol). And Domino is his on-again-off-again love interest who is excited and scared of what the Cable can do for the future. Though he was born in the present, Cable was sent to the future for some super training so he can travel in time to prevent the apocalyptic future from happening.  Cable was part of the Cable and Deadpool comics that were introduced in 2004 and ended after issue #50. But they first crossed paths when the red spandex wearing trouble-starter was sent to kill him in issue #98 of the New Mutants series.

This new light of rumor seems to be pretty promising. I’m sure that both the small TV stars will make a big splash in the movie, should they choose to accept this fine nomination. And for the rest of us who are anxiously waiting for the next Deadpool movie, maybe, if you haven’t already, we should be out there checking out the Cable and Deadpool comics to so we are ready for the sequel to our MARVELous Merc with the Mouth. ^_^

Green Lantern Appearing In Justice League Movie?…YES

justice league

In brightest day, in blackest night………WILL appear in the Justice League movie! On numerous sites it is confirmed that we will see the willpower of a Green Lantern ring very soon. The only thing is……we don’t know when. The main man at DC comics, Mr. Geoff Johns, recently said in an interview, VIEW HERE!  they have all areas of the DC Universe covered except for space. The intergalactic space police known as the Green Lantern Corps has been controlling that part of the DC Universe and it’s about time we see them. A lingering question has been when will we see them? Will it be in Justice League Part One or Part Two? Perhaps appearing in another cinematic film? Rumors had a Green Lantern appearance at the end of BatmanvSuperman, but that clearly did not happen. More rumors state, that at the end of the Justice League movie, there will be a green ring somewhere. The Justice League has different members based on what year or comic you are reading. But I am biased so I want Green Lantern! With the flow of the current movies Green Lantern NEEDS to be involved in some shape or form.

Jessica Cruz

Green Lantern is my favorite comic book character ever! There has been a lot of disappointment from the casual fans about Ryan Reynolds’ adaptation as Hal Jordan in the 2011 film Green Lantern. Personally I didn’t think the movie was that bad…..the only real big problem I had with the movie was the villain they chose (Hector Hammond). He appears in a handful of comics and never really affected Green Lantern from a dangerous standpoint. A CGI costume was a huge complaint from critics which leaves me scratching my head. Cough*Cough* Tony Stark. So with the recent success of all comic book movies, it is only fair the Green Lantern gets the same treatment and creativity that every single other character has gotten. Geoff Johns had me even more hooked on Green Lantern, when he was the head writer for the comic book in which he did a phenomenal job.

I pray that whatever Green Lantern appears in and whichever Green Lantern they decide to choose, a little more time is put in to doing the character Justice. Green Lantern plays a huge role in the DC Universe and if you’re not a big nerd about it like I am, you have no idea who or what a Green Lantern even is. There are plenty of options to choose from, 6 ring-wearers to be exact (Hal Jordan, Guy Gardener, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart, Simon Baz, Jessica Cruz), all I can say is whatever route they go, it should make Green Lantern(s) a fan favorite! Justice League is set to release in 2017, Green Lantern Corps is coming out in 2020.

Killjoys SN2 Ep7 – ‘Heart-Shaped Box’

kj.png

Welcome back fellow Killjoys fans!

In this week’s episode, our team finds out more about Sabine (Tori Anderson), the girl who bled green all over the bedroom floor at the penultimate moment on D’Avin.

The opening scene is a nightmare that Dutch is having, brought on by talking about Khlyen’s plasma before bed. Alvis tries to tell her that she doesn’t have to feel like she’s the only one who can solve the Level Six problem, but she thinks that she maybe is.

Johnny has tracked down a woman who helped to engineer the wall around OldTown. D’Av interrupts the conversation in a panic, and the woman disappears. Johnny asks D’Av what happened, thinking that maybe he freaked out after sex, like he did with Dutch, an accusation that D’Av hotly denies, and says that Sabine just sixed out on him during sex. Johnny advises him to keep it holstered since it has such a bad track record. They clean her up and bag her, taking her out the window back to Lucy and Dutch. Dutch is not best pleased by the gift at first, but soon realizes that having a captive Six could be a good thing for them. [Read more…]

New Speculation About The Major Walking Dead Death In Season 7 Premiere

tkrqtavicizk6zfuuqyuhm-970-80-194664

October 23rd cannot get here fast enough for The Walking Dead fans.

Since season 6 ended last April, fans have been expressing a multitude of emotions about the finale and who’s head was smashed by Negan’s bat Lucille. And the cast is being very vague about how production for season 7 is coming along.  A recent photo posted on Instagram might give fans a new clue as who we will be losing in the premiere.

Norman Reedus, who portrays everyone’s favorite redneck Daryl Dixon posted this photo on his Instagram, which was then reposted on Twitter by TWD fan @HunterDixonRick:

rsz_cpv1ffdvuaasgn2

The photo looks pretty normal, no big secrets seemed to be revealed.  But leave it up to a TWD fan to notice that not only does it look like Andrew Lincoln got a haircut, but there is also blood splatter on what appears to be on the right side of his face, that wasn’t present the last time we saw Rick.  So someone to the right side of Lincoln gets killed right?  That narrows it down to Maggie who is directly to Rick’s right; Abraham, and Michonne. Daryl, Rosita, and Glenn are also to his right, but not close enough to splatter blood on the side of Rick’s head…I don’t think.  But then someone pointed out that Norman is notorious for taking selfies, so this picture must have been taken with the front side camera, mirroring the image. So the blood in on the left side of Lincoln’s face…that would mean either Sasha, Aaron, Carl or Eugene will get up close and personal with Lucille.  Of course there’s also the possibility that someone put the blood on Lincoln’s face to throw everyone off, but the photo is suspicious because shortly after the photo was posted on Twitter and Reddit, Reedus deleted it from Instagram.

Whoever bites it in the season premiere, the producers and cast have been very quiet about the premiere, only stating that there will be a devastating loss.  They all have expressed how hard shooting the season 6 finale and season 7 premiere was on everyone.  In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reedus said about the premiere, “It was exhausting, and it was no fun. You know, we always come back to this show every season, and we’re like, ‘Yeah, let’s get back into it!’ You know, all the actors are excited to be here and see each other and get back into where they were. But this was one of those where it’s like, ‘Oh, f—. Here we go.’ It was definitely not a joyous reunion. I mean, it was nice to see everybody again, of course, but it wasn’t the same as in previous years.”

On the AMC’s Talking Dead special on Sunday night, most of the talk was about what happened in season 6 leading up to the confrontation with Negan and what possibilities lie ahead for Morgan and Carol, who are not lined up in front of Negan.  A special sneak peek was shown during the broadcast that has people wondering if maybe Daryl Dixon meets his unfortunate demise.

Dwight, played by Austin Amelio, is seen not only riding Daryl’s motorcycle, but also wearing the famous angel wing leather vest.  Hmmmmmmm????  What does all of this mean?  Tune into the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead on October 23 only on AMC.

Emily Blunt’s Mary Poppins Sequel Brings In The Wonderful Dick Van Dyke And Julie Andrews

dick-van-dyke

Mary Poppins is one of my favorite Disney Movies. While I am a little apprehensive about a sequel I am also quite excited. After learning that Emily Blunt who slayed as the Baker’s Wife in the film adaptation of Into the Woods is playing Mary Poppins, I was just ready for this to happen.

Now, as this is a sequel everyone wondered if Julie Andrews or Dick Van Dyke would have a place in the movie. Of course, these two actors have aged which is why they were replaced but at the same time they just needed to be approached.

Suddenly it was announced that Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke would be making an appearance in the film. Now it may just be a cameo but it is still amazing. Though really Dick Van Dyke could do something incredible because the way that man dances now is just as good maybe even better then when he starred in Mary Poppins.

I do hope they do Poppins justice because the first one is just magnificent. I really do think it will be spectacular. To have the lead actor from Hamilton, Lin Manuel-Miranda, working together with the one and only Emily Blunt will certainly make for a wonderful performance.

Here’s hoping we learn more about this movie soon, as I am dying to know how this will all play out! Can’t wait for Christmas Day of 2018 for this magical nanny to blow back into the Bank’s and our lives.
