WWE Studios is a juggernaut that has been slowly gaining momentum in recent years and why not? After all, we all know that the WWE superstars and divas are trained actors and actresses, oops I mean “professional athletes”. Although WWE is going through a resurgence of sorts, it still doesn’t mean that it can’t have it’s figures in many pies outside the world of wrestling and this is where WWE Studios comes into play.
Yes sadly some of the films have tanked (Knucklehead) but some have done surprisingly well (The Marine) and proved to us that quite a few wrestlers are good actors (Sorry Hulk Hogan and Triple H). The transition from full time wrestling to full time acting is one that has done very well by very few aside from the most obivious Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson you are struggling to find more people other than Dave Bautista (Guardians Of The Galaxy )and Robert Maillet (Pacific Rim).
One guy who has crept under the radar and earned his acting stripes is none other than ‘The Rated R Superstar’ aka Edge aka Adam Copeland. Adam was forced to retire from wrestling whilst in his prime at a relatively young age due to a serious neck injury. Adam then went on to join cult SyFy TV show Haven playing the role of Dwight Hendrickson. As a wrestler although he ‘reeked of awesomeness’ he actually kinda annoyed me and I was less than optimistic about his chances of joining the acting world. However his performance of Dwight quickly proved I was wrong and he can act well!
Until recently Adam stayed away from WWE films and I think that’s the right move, he was allowed to grow and learn his craft before returning to his home of the WWE to try his hand at a feature film. Had he gone straight into WWE movies, I sadly think the outcome would have been different.
You may recognise his co-star as the smoking blonde bombshell otherwise known as Lana aka C.J. Perry. As well as supporting her man Rusev ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ she was also a model, dancer and actress prior to entering the WWE. This acting experience clearly shows when watching the trailer for the film.
The film’s synopsis reads:
‘After the FBI receives a threat that endangers the entire city, an interrogator (Copeland) and an IT specialist (Lana) are plunged into a series of mind games with a criminal mastermind, desperately racing against time to uncover the villain’s true agenda as they fight to protect thousands of lives.’
I have a sneaky feeling that this film may be surprise hit of the year for WWE Studios and Lionsgate.

Hi, it’s me Skatronixxx! As boss of the site, I am on the mailing lists for quite a few PR firms in the country and although much of the content I receive gets me interested, none has piqued my interest more than the email that landed in my inbox yesterday.
Like the other 99.9999999999% of the country I am Game Of Thrones fans and have been since it started. Granted I haven’t read the books, although i would love too, running the site, working full time and being a dead to Skatronixxx Jr leaves little time for reading these days, but one day I will read all the books, I promise you my loyal visitors!
So what was the email and what does it have to do with Game Of Thrones? Well the email was simply titled ‘Tour Of Thrones‘.
The email goes to say that fans of the television series can visit every location from the latest series and still have change from £500. Sound good? Hell to the yeah!.
With rumors of the latest series being delayed amid contract disputes, weather issues and more. Fans suffering withdrawal symptoms can visit iconic locations that have been used for places such Winterfell, Braavos and Mereen.
The team at Voucherbox.co.uk have researched the cost of taking the ‘Tour Of Thrones’ themed vacation this summer. The vacation would take you to countries such as Northern Ireland, Croatia and Spain.
In Croatia, you can visit the capital Dubrovnik’s Western Harbour aka King’s Landing and Dalmatia that was used as the setting for Braavos. If you fancy going somewhere a little closer to home (UK readers) you can visit Northern Ireland and in particular the Moneyglass Estate and Magheramorne Quarry, both in County Antrim, and Crossgar in County Down, where the scenes for Winterfell were filmed.

Fancy visiting where the sadistic Ramsey Bolton met his fate? That was also filmed at the Moneyglass Estate. I know that’s one place on my checklist for sure! What about the Iron Islands home of unlucky loser Theon Greyjoy? You’ll need to check out Ballintoy, Ballycastle in Antrim.

After going from Croatia to Northern Ireland, you’ll no doubt want to head back to sunnier climates and you can do that by going to sunny Spain in particular Faro De Mesa De Roldan in Almeria and Parque de la Artileria in Castellon, otherwise known as the city of Mereen.

After leaving Meeren you can head to Castell de Santa Florentina that was used as the setting for Horn Hill, the family home of Samwell Tarly.

The PR team who emailed me then go on to say:
‘A spokesman for Voucherbox.co.uk who conducted the research, said: “With millions of dedicated fans Game of Thrones has given a huge boost to the tourism industry in Northern Ireland and across many other areas.
“Our research shows it doesn’t have to cost as much as you might think to walk in the footsteps of Jon Snow, Arya Stark or Daenerys Targaryen.
“With many low price flights and other savings available on transport such as trains and buses by booking ahead online it’s little surprise that many fans are planning their very own Game of Thrones adventure.” ‘

Here it is, the end of a manga that I have appreciated to read for the past 14 years, the final battle of a tired hero who overcome despair in each fights against the big boss. Ichigo Kurosaki is actually one of my favorite character in manga history, by his personality to thrive always forward and to never give up no matter how hard it is to surpass the biggest obstacles.
But unfortunately for all the fans around the world of the Shinigami, Tito Kubo made it clear, there will be only 5 chapters left before closing the final arc… I’m so sad by this news but everything has an end doesn’t it? Volume 74 will be the last and this arc was the most interesting arc to read for me as you get to know the real origins of Ichigo Kurosaki and his powers, the origins of Soul Society and of the Quincy too.
We all know the story of Bleach if you do read manga and Shonen Jump weekly as Bleach, Naruto and One Piece were the three pillars for over a decades of this magazine. Even though Naruto finished in 2015 and let places to a new director and also new team, Bleach was still really appreciated to his reader but there’s no information if it will turn out as Naruto.
There is three arcs in the manga which contains at the moment more than 800 chapters:
As a final note I would say: After 366 episode (which there was too many fillers), 2 OAV, 4 movies and 74 volumes of an intense story and manga…
Thank you so much Tito Kubo.

The clock begins again for 24, the spinoff series 24: Legacy is set to relaunch the famous series without the iconic Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). It will keep the original series real-time format and ticking clock but with new stories and new characters. The series will follow Corey Hawkins (‘Straight Outta Comptom’, ‘TWD’) as Army Ranger Eric Carter, who was deployed by CTU to dispose of a terrorist leader. Back home, trying to have a normal life, he finds out the terrorist cell are crossing off his unit. On the run with wife Nicole (Anna Diop), he must team up with former CTU director Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto, ‘Homeland’). See the official synopsis below:
“The 24 spinoff chronicles an adrenaline-fueled race against the clock to stop a devastating terrorist attack on United States soil – in the same real-time format that has propelled this genre-defining series. Six months ago in Yemen, an elite squad of U.S Army Rangers, led by Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins), killed terrorist leader Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid. In the aftermath, Bin-Khalid’s followers declared a fatwah against Carter, his squad and their families, forcing them into federal witness protection. But an attempt on Carter’s own life makes it clear to him that his team is now exposed. To thwart further attacks, Carter enlists Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto), who quarterbacked the raid that killed Bin-Khalid. She’s a brilliant and ambitious intelligence officer who stepped down from her post as National Director of CTU to support her husband, Sentator John Donavan (Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Jimmy Smits, ‘NYPD Blue’, The West Wing’), in his campaign for The President of the United States. Decades of sleepless nights and missed anniversaries landed her at the top. With the White House within their grasp, can she truly embrace a new role as First Lady? Or will her love of action draw her back in? Together, in this fast-paced thrill ride, Carter and Ingram discover a sophisticated terrorist network that will force them to ask: “Who can we trust?” as they battle Bin-Khalid’s devotee’s, they are forced to confront their own identities, families and pasts.”
Also, supporting cast includes Teddy Sears (Zoom in ‘The Flash’), Dan Bucatinsky, Ashley Thomas, Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Pena and Shelia Vand. Emmy Award winning Executive Producers Howard Gordon (‘Homeland’, ’24:Live Another Day’) and Brian Grazer (‘Beautiful Minds’, ‘24’), writers and EP’s Mandy Coto and Evan Katz (‘24’, ’24:Live Another Day’), Director and EP Stephen Hopkins (‘24’) and original series star Kiefer Sutherland returns as an Executive Producer.
Although, it’s said Jack Bauer will not star in this series, Kiefer Sutherland sure does like to tease us. He could make an appearance in a future season, although he was last seen being taken to a Russian prison in 24:Live Another Day, so how would he get out of that one. But then again, he is Jack Bauer.
I doubted if Fox could really pull this off, 24 without Jack Bauer doesn’t have a chance. However, after seeing this trailer, I’m sold. It’s looks annoyingly good with jam-packed action sequences, explosions, gunfire and it seems familiar without trying too hard to be the original series. Will you be tuning into 24: Legacy when it begins next year? Do you think it will survive without Jack Bauer? Only time will tell!

Let’s face it, everyone loves Funko Pops, they are this generations version of the Beanie Babies. They are cute, collectible and there seems to be no end to them. I started collecting them for Skatronixxx Jr but stopped after realising that I’d never be able to collect them all. Would I still continue collecting them? Sure if I had the money, but alas I have temporarily put my Funko Pop collection on hold, it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy looking at them though!

After the last act of the season two finale, fans of the The Flash series have been eager to get even the tiniest bits of information as to how the show is gonna progress in season 3. To recap, Barry faced with grief of his father’s death, made a decision to time travel to the past to save his mother. His mission was a success, preventing the Reverse Flash from murdering his mother once again. In doing so, he possibly disrupted the timeline and that will have major repercussions, which we are all waiting for . It was recently confirmed that season 3 will indeed feature one of the most iconic storylines in the DC universe; Flashpoint.
Today The CW released an official first look at Wally West suited up as Kid Flash played by Keiynan Lonsdale. There are no details yet as to how Wally West becomes Kid Flash, but my guess is, it has something to do with Flashpoint. It’s gonna be a long wait for season 3. In the meantime, you can go back and binge season 1 and season 2, which are awesome by the way. For now, just enjoy viewing the awesome images below.

Along with announcing their plans for Comic Con 2016, Warner Bros. has issued a press release which includes the synopsis of Wonder Woman. It was also revealed that Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg co-wrote the script, based on a story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder. Zack Snyder’s inclusion in the movie should come as no surprise since he’s the one who introduced Wonder Woman for the first time in the silver screen in his epic, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It’s apparent that Geoff Johns, who was recently promoted as the co-head of DC films, will be more hands on with the DC movie Universe, as evidenced by him co-writing Wonder Woman. Apart from Justice League, this is probably my most anticipated DC Extended Universe film. Whether it’s any good, we’ll see when the movie hits theaters some time next summer. Meanwhile, you can check the press release below.
“Wonder Woman” hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston. The film is produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Richard Suckle, with Rebecca Roven, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with RatPac-Dune Entertainment, an Atlas Entertainment/Cruel and Unusual production, “Wonder Woman.” The film is scheduled for release on June 2, 2017, and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. www.wonderwomanfilm.com

Quentin Tarantino is one of the most influential directors since the 90’s. However, recently, it sounds Tarantino may be winding down his career. The man has said that he will direct 10 films and then retire. Hateful 8 was in fact his eighth film, so if he’s good to his word, the man only has two more films left in him.
What does Tarantino’s retirement mean? Quentin Tarantino is a director who does not tackle projects in vein. While some directors seem to crank out a new film every year (at least it feels that way), QT is a man who doesn’t mind pacing himself a little. There was a six year gap between Jackie Brown and Kill Bill, with three year gaps often occurring between films. Tarantino takes his time with filming movies that he actually emphasizes the number of films in the marketing. Hateful Eight was sold as the Eighth film he’s directed. Imagine the pressure if a film were in fact marketed as the final film of Tarantino.
In a way, this may be the reason Quentin Tarantino wants to retire. To paraphrase the Dark Knight, it seems Tarantino wants to die a hero rather than live long enough to become the villain. Many of those directors who make films more often have made mistakes. Woody Allen – who literally has made a film every year since Annie Hall – is extremely hit and miss in his films. Ridley Scott went through a bit of slump after American Gangster before returning to form with The Martian. Steven Spielberg has shown his feet of clay with movies such as Always and Lost World: Jurassic Park. It seems that because Tarantino has been so choosey about his projects, he has very few blemishes on his resume.
Two of the films that are considered his weaker films are the aforementioned Jackie Brown and Death Proof. I actually enjoy both movies, but agree they are not Tarantino’s best. I think they suffer from being weaker for his standards. When a man’s report cards is filled with A’s, a few B’s tend to stand out. Oddly enough, both films suffer from opposite reasons – Jackie Brown was a little too familiar while Death Proof was too different. In a way, that is one of the commendable facts about Tarantino – a lot of directors fall down by doing the same thing over and over, QT fell on his face by at least taking a risk that simply didn’t pay off. Another blemish was the mediocre compilation film Four Rooms – realistically, that also can’t be held against Tarantino since HIS segment was good. We also can’t hold his first film My Best Friend’s Birthday against him since it was a first film – if anything, shades of brilliance were demonstrated early.
So what will Tarantino do after retirement? The man himself once said that he wants to be an eccentric old man who runs a theater. That sounds awesome on certain levels. Tarantino has also said he’s only going to DIRECT 10 films. It is possible he plans to work in other capacities. He has produced films such as Hostel, which has helped up and coming directors make a name for themselves. Tarantino hasn’t written a film he didn’t direct since From Dusk til Dawn in 1996. Tarantino has had a bad relationship with directors working on films he only wrote. Although they were excellent films, Tarantino was unhappy with the way they turned out. Still, times have changed so if Tarantino were to write without directing, he may have more influence. Even if he does not write full screenplays for other directors, he has done script doctoring on films such as Crimson Tide (and you can see his fingerprints in some of the dialogue). So that is one way Tarantino can influence directors if he does not want to direct anymore.
Also, there is another factor. When I think of retirements, I think of another director who never really did a bad thing – Hayao Miyazaki. Miyazaki also said he was going to retire several times, both before and after his magnum opus Spirited Away. However, his retirement did not seem to stick until The Wind Rises (a good film to go out on). Tarantino does not seem to be the kind of guy who would say he’s retiring just for publicity. Though perhaps if he has anymore ideas, memories of how his other scripts were treated will spark his directing bug again. Either way, Tarantino has won 2 Oscars and directed stone classics such as Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained. So if he does retire in the near future, he is a filmmaker of few regrets.
