Something’s Coming AHS6

FX’s The Strain released an interesting teaser for Season 3 and Lady Liberty doesn’t look well.
For those unfamiliar with The Strain, it is based on the book of the same title written by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan. The story reminds us all that vampires…or strigoi, are really scary monsters and they don’t sparkle.
In season one, Ephraim Goodweather, portrayed by Cory Stoll, is a doctor working for the CDC in New York City. When he and his team are called upon to investigate a new viral strain, they are face with an ancient evil that is spreading beyond their control. Along the way, Eph, Dr. Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro), and Jim Kent (Sean Astin) discover the viral strain not only kills the infected but they come back to to life as strigoi. Anyone bitten by a strigoi is immediately infected with a worm-like parasite that eventually transform the host into a strigoi. The strain spreads throughout NYC leading to a quarantine. And to add to Eph’s headache, his ex-wife, Kelly (Natalie Brown) is infected and begins to search for their son Zach (Max Charles).
In Season two, others have realized the epidemic that is happening including Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand), Dutch Velders (Ruta Gedmintas), Gus Elizalde (Miguel Gomez) and the mysterious Abraham Setrakian (David Bradley). Together they learn more about the origins of the vampire strain and more importantly, we are introduced to The Master (Robin Atkin Downes/Jack Kesy) and Thomas Eichorst (Richard Sammel). Thomas has served as the Master’s right hand man/vampire since World War II, but he also has plans for power of his own. Before the end of season two, we were introduced to the savior, Mr. Quinlan (Rupert Penry-Jones). Mr. Quinlan is a strigoi, born after his mother was infected while pregnant, but he doesn’t have the ability to spread the strain, and cannot be controlled by the Master. Quinlan can walk in sunlight, is immortal and is looking to destroy The Master. The story took a scary turn at the end of season two when Kelly found Zach and took him at the same time, appearing to kill Ephraim’s most trusted partner, Nora.
The Season 3 synopsis states that The Master continues his plan to increase his army of strigoi and turn the world upside down. The strigoi are increasing in number and will not be contained for very long on the streets of New York City. The people of New York have been cut off from the rest of the nation and must fight for their survival. Will Ephraim successfully find a cure against the strigoi strain, or will he be overwhelmed after a major loss? Will Mr. Quinlan finally have his chance to destory the Master or will the Master continue to elude all threats? Tune into The Stain Season 3 premiere on August 28 on FX.
Finally AHS has released a teaser for the upcoming season 6 and OMG it was worth the wait, however it raises more questions and still remains a mystery, but a very intriguing mystery and now seeing the teaser I have a feeling it is going to blow all the other AHS series out of the water. Season 6 is definitely going to be darker than the previous series. The number six on the promo images is now joined by a question mark and based on these teaser trailers and several interview given by series creator Murphy, the popular theory concerning the plot of the season is dealing with a cult, Orphanage, or returning to Asylum’s Briarcliff manor as well as the storyline of The Antichrist, which has already been touched upon in series one, but in true AHS fashion they are not giving much away on theme of season six.
Below is the AHS teaser…. Enjoy!
