Telltale Games: Teases Mr.Robot Project

If you’re a fan of Mr.Robot since the first episode like I am, this is very intriguing news. Telltale Games has a history of making games based on hit television shows. Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, CSI, and Law and Order just to name a few. More recently releasing a Batman story, which from the looks of it, is visually appealing. The choices you make in most Telltale games alters your storyline/plot. Usually available for most gaming systems at a cheaper cost than your average game. I for one, love these types of games because it gives the gamer a choice/option to choose their fate or alter their future. Similar to our daily life decisions right?

evilcorp.png

The next assignment on their agenda, seems to be related to the Emmy nominated program Mr.Robot. This show has never been so relatable and made me think so hard ever before in my life! If you don’t know what Mr.Robot is, feel free to check out my recap of Season 1 here! Recently a tweet by @ecorpmessaging, teased an E Corp app, relevant based on the fact E(vil) Corp, plays a huge role in the drama series Mr.Robot. E Corp is your everyday company trying to market and draw you into their mission statement, convincing you that the world is a better place living it their way. It would be shocking to a lot of people if this was just a coincidence. The objective in the video foreshadows a messaging app of some kind, coming to iOS and Android on August 17th, 2016. (see for yourself) Telltale Games have a gold medal waiting for them, if this creation is anything like what they have made in the past. I really, really, want a game related to Mr. Robot!! Help me out Telltale Games!! Are you a One (1) or a Zero (0)?

No Man’s Sky – An Idiot’s Log

rsz_1img_5177

Captain’s Log, Stardate 43125.8

I’ve woken up on some planet with no idea as to who I am or how I arrived here. I seem to have crash landed in a ship that looks like something you’d find in your breakfast cereal, yet it requires Plutonium to fuel it. I don’t really fancy being stranded here, but I also don’t fancy getting radiation sickness.

rsz_https---blueprint-api-productions3amazonawscom-uploads-card-image-170607-no_mans_sky_starter_screen.png

I found my phaser which makes mining a bit easier, it even has the ability to scan new lifeforms, planets, plants etc it then allows me to name the new findings and upload them. I’ve named my planet after Emperor Lrrr’s home world ‘Omicron Persei 8’ and when uploading it to the galactic map, I’m rewarded with some credits for doing so, which will be ideal when I find way out into the universe and to a space station.

After a few hours, I managed to get everything fixed and break out of the planet’s atmosphere. The view from here is stunning and very daunting at the same time, there’s so much so see on each planet and even more to learn.

rsz_img_5169.png

 Captain’s Log, Stardate 43125.9

I’ve explored as much as I can within my current solar system, and now need to stretch out into further galaxies; I built a hyper drive which will allow me to do so, but fuelling the hyper drive is time consuming and expensive on resources. There’s also an issue of making sure there’s enough room in my spaceship and exosuit storage to craft whats needed. I’ll update if things go to plan.

Captain’s Log, Supplementary

Things have gone very well, and I’ve managed to warp jump my way to the next solar system, which I have named after one of my favourite childhood bands to give me a little reminder of home.

rsz_img_5184.png

This seems to be a much smaller system that the previous one, but the planets are more green, hopefully this will mean that there is life here…friendly life that is.

My Hyper Drive is now depleted so I desperately need to find some Antimatter and Resonators if I’m ever going to find my way to centre of the universe. I’m also in need of some more Thanium 9 to refuel my ship, luckily this is easily extracted from all the comets floating around in space, but unfortunately for me I took a beating from some space pirates on arrival, and require some Oxides to repair my shield. Still, the joke is on the pirates, they only made off with some my Copper.

Captain’s Log, Stardate 43135.4

I’ve chosen a dense looking planet to land on, and I’ve definitely chosen well. This planet has a plethora of wild life and elements for mining, I even found a signal that led me to a ship wreck. There was a lot of work to get this beast up and running again, and it’s now fully functional and much more efficient than my previous one.

Now that I’m back on track with my new ship (which looks like something from an Alien film), I’ve taken some time scanning and renaming the wild life here, and my God I’ve seen some monstrosities, so naturally I named them accordingly –

Brundle Fly

Meat Horse

rsz_21img_5179.png

This has to be the worst one, I present to you the walking STI

rsz_img_5180

I think I went a bit mad with some of the names, but no one was here to judge, and most of these creatures seem to be more afraid of me which is a relief, as I didn’t like my chances against any of these in a fight.

Despite a few creatures having a repulsive appearance, the life here seems to be ok with you (if approached slowly), and it helps to have a bit of food as an offering.

Captain’s Log, Stardate 43189.5

I’m now fully restocked and ready to move to the next planet, but I’m sticking around in this System for a little while longer, as there’s still so much more to do before I’ll be able to reach the centre of the universe. I’m feeling a lot more happy and confident about the future, I just hope I don’t come across any desolate planets, as running out of resources will likely mean death.

NVIDIA Launching Indie Spotlight Program!

4K-Nvidia

NVIDIA is a big player in the PC gaming field, and now they are starting something that benefits the little guy! The idea of this Indie Spotlight program is to help good but not that well known indie games get where they should be, which is in our PC screens. Here’s a statement straight from NVIDIA: “It’s a great time to be a gamer, and an even better time to be an indie game developer. It’s never been easier for you to build the game of your dreams, and there are more games than ever for gamers to play. But this also means that it has become increasingly difficult for gamers to find your game. That’s where the NVIDIA® Indie Spotlight™ Program comes in. We’ll leverage our GeForce® community to tell them about your great game. All upside. No catch. Register for the NVIDIA Indie Spotlight Program today!”

I for one am very happy for what NVIDIA is doing right now, because even if it is easy to make a game, it’s pretty hard to get people excited about it if you aren’t a big developer. It’s still not going to be a free advertising for all type of platform, NVIDIA will pick the titles they think people will actually really appreciate, so that they’re Indie Support program would be of good quality. Can’t wait!

A Look At Dissidia: Final Fantasy 2015

Final-Fantasy-XV-Wallpaper-Pictures.jpg

So in this article, as you saw the title… we will be talking about a game that haven’t showed up at the world wild stage yet but only present in Japan. I present to you one of the biggest fantasm of every fan of Final Fantasy series, Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

You don’t know about that game you tell? Oh dear gamer, you still have a lot to learn!! Dissidia: Final Fantasy is a fighting game regrouping all the heroes from the Final Fantasy series (1 to 14). Two games of the same franchise have been released in 2012 and 2013 named Dissidia: Final Fantasy which had the characters from 1 until 10 and Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy which included just Lightning from Final Fantasy 12.

I’ve had the pleasure to play it myself in Taito Club in Tokyo a few weeks ago and I was certainly not disappointed even though the game has literally change from what it was on PlayStation Portable.

As I was saying earlier, you have heroes coming from all the episodes (apart from the 15 obviously), so in total 14 heroes and 14 villains playable just for your own pleasure. Each characters are divided in 4 different categories:

• Heavy Power
• Speed
• Magician/ Shooter
• Unique

For example in Heavy Power, I played with Cloud (my favourite hero in Final Fantasy), no matter how strong are his attacks, he is unfortunately slow compare to other characters but he will deal great damage to other opponents.

For the Speed category, I used Lightning from Final Fantasy 12. Really fast characters and can jump up to 3 times in the air as well but she compensate her lack of power with fast attack and movement around your opponents. Each category give the players to play with certain tactics that can lead them to a certain victory like I did against some Japanese guys… Yeah I’m a beast in this game!

Instead of the original 1v1, you play 3v3 now either with two other players or the cpu will take control of your allies. It actually bring another atmosphere in the game and more excitement as well as in original Final Fantasy, you had/have to play in team of 3 and 4 people now, so it’s really nice that they bringing it into this fighting games to make the gameplay deeper than it already is.

Let’s talk about the fighting commands now as this is the trickiest part of the game, you got the Brave attack which will reduce the bravery of your opponents and get yourself up, HP attack which affects the HP of your opponents to a certain extent which is why you need to put their Bravery down first, but also the EX limits (if I remember correctly) which is like their own super skills. Also there’s a Summon Bar for the team to invoke any invocations by collecting crystals during the fight as they appear anywhere on the map. If you talk about summons and if you know your lessons about Final Fantasy, you would know that I talk about Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh and more.

Graphically, the game is superb. The maps or arena are big enough to go wherever you wanna go or setting traps but I won’t spoil too much about it… if I had to compare the graphics of the game with Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, I would say they actually kinda on the same level, that’s how much they’ve been working on it to make it beautiful either it’s the characters, summons, environments or the Fx.

In general, Dissidia: Final Fantasy is a really good fighting and competitive game for players as fans or occasionals. It’s really complex though if you don’t know the mechanics of the gameplay at first but as soon that you understand your way around it, trust me you will enjoy it to is fullest. Unfortunately, it is only available into Taito Club Arcade in Japan for now as Square Enix believed that they don’t need to release it on console as it was announced first, but even though there’s still hope for a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita release.

Let’s just wait and see now…

A Look At Mobius Final Fantasy

IMG_20160809_220117

Here it is, finally the first AAA Final Fantasy game on mobile. Released in Japan since the 4th of July 2015, Mobius FF is a JRPG turn based battle system released on Ios and Android platforms.

As you know in every FF, you will have to save the world from the darkness forces and for that, you’re to play as the character Wol, an amnesiac who doesn’t remember anything but he’s been brought into the world of Palacemia to be one of the Warrior of Light and free the world from the dangerous Darkness. I know it sound cliché and repetitive story from others FF, but it’s actually kinda nice from Square Enix to make us go back to the past of Final Fantasy 1.

I just started the game if I am honest with you guys, but from what I played, the AAA graphics style is astonishing on mobile even on my old Xperia Z3.The control are really easy as well to memorize and the fights scenes are bluffing as you can invoke, use magics and all the things that you find usually in any FF games on consoles.

Just to let you some information about who have made the game?! If I say the team that have made the most popular FF7 what would you do say? I said to myself I am downloading the game straight way… But then it’s just my opinion.

I will write another article to talk more in details about the game as I just started it, so there’s a lot of things that I need to understand yet but I am really excited to finally play a real Final Fantasy on my mobile even though I have an old mobile.

ABZÛ Review (PS4)

rsz_724515

Ever had a moment in your life where you’ve felt so peaceful and serene, you forget your own name? If the answer is no, then you need to experience Abzû. It combines some of the most stunning visuals with an hypnotic soundtrack, that I have ever come across in game.

The story in Abzû isn’t clear cut like the average games are today, instead, details around your purpose and objectives are left to personal interpretation, so there’s plenty to discuss with your friends upon completion. Gameplay is effortless and elegant: you can swim round at different speeds and interact with some areas that allow you to meditate whilst watching life around you. You can even hitch a ride on some of the larger sea life to get around faster. Nothing here is stressful, no big fights or particularly taxing puzzles. Life is good in Abzû.

You may have heard people comparing this game to 2012’s Journey, and this is by no means a bad thing. The campaign is brief, the story is without words, and characters are mysterious and nameless. Unfortunately, it lacks the seamless multiplayer that made Journey such a profound experience for many players.

You’ll find all manner of life down here from Sharks, Squids, Whales and many more, all which behave in a believable and life-like manor. Strangely you never feel threatened by some of the more aggressive creatures, maybe this has something to do with the importance of your character… or maybe they have bigger fish to fry. Speaking of bigger fish, I managed to get a screenshot of me riding a Elasmosaurus in this stunning area:-

rsz_13886350_10155081950273136_3676769003770346306_n

Although each area is open to explore, the levels are smaller than they look and give few repetitive tasks, but this is easily forgiven once you realise that it’s not meant to be a game that tests your abilities, but more something that encourages a peaceful and steady play through. It’s just a shame that each level isn’t seamless as the load times can take you out of the experience.

It would be a crime not to mention the music here, as this makes up a huge part of what this game is. Composed by Austin Wintory (also composed Journey), he yet again delivers a passionate and heart warming soundtrack that almost gives Abzû a dialogue through its emotional themes.

For the price of £15.99 ($19.99) you’ll get a good 3 hours play, which for some may not seem like value for money, but considering it’s unique art style and relaxing gameplay this is something that is worth the investment. After playing through once, I’m now hoping to have another stressful day so I have a reason to visit the world of Abzû again.

WWE 2k17: What We Know So Far

brock2k

If you’re a gamer and especially a wrestling fan, to say these games have been a rollercoaster is an understatement. One year it’s amazing and then the next year the game sucks. I feel every time I enjoy the game, nobody else does, and vice-versa. This year’s game will be on close watch after last year’s game didn’t do so well. I enjoyed it, but a lot of complaints came from the new button system and the length of career mode. The folks at 2K have ramped up on the pre-order editions, releasing an NXT version, which is honestly one of the best bonuses I have seen in a while. If you only pre-order the game, you will receive, one of my favorites, Bill Goldberg as a playable character. BUT if you pre-order the NXT edition this what you get………

nxt_shot_.jpg

NXT Edition Pre-Order
*NXT Enhancement Pack
*Exclusive Canvas2Canvas lithograph autographed by NXT Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura
*Exclusive eight-inch “Demon” Finn Balor collectible figurine
*One Exclusive Topps NXT TakeOver: London Mat Relics card – Includes a piece of authentic ring canvas from the event
*Goldberg Pre-order Pack

If you have been buying games for years like I have, this is definitely worth the extra money compared to other games! Pre-Order fast because they are selling out!

As far as the roster goes, ign.com will be releasing these type of easter egg, cryptic photos to announce the roster!

wwe2k17weird.jpg

If you look closely you can try to figure out exactly who the names will be. Below is a list of the names confirmed so far in this year’s game:

Brock Lesnar
Sasha Banks
Shinsuke Nakamura
Nia Jax
Apollo Crews
Brie Bella
Nikki Bella
Jimmy Uso
Jey Uso
Goldberg (Pre-Order)
Ultimate Warrior
Shane McMahon
Stephanie McMahon
Vince McMahon
R-Truth
Heath Slater
Brian Pillman
Booker T
Aiden English
Simon Gotch
Larry Zbysko
Konnor
Viktor
Epico
Primo
John Cena
Jim Neidhart

Now of course since Finn Balor has a statue, he is more than likely in the game, along with your obvious top superstars. Over time ign.com will slowly reveal the roster up until the release date of October 11, 2016. It is very possible the roster can contain over 100+ superstars with some names like Bayley sure to make the cut. Not many details have been revealed about the gameplay or game modes, but with the high-demand and wrestling recently trying to maximize the audience, I don’t see how they can put out a crappy game this year. I will be in-line getting the game when it comes out, praying that this year’s game, does the real true wrestling fans justice!

Overwatch Summer Games!

summer games

Overwatch is a newer game released by Blizzard in May of this year. I was pretty eager to get my hands on it but haven’t because it costs money that I don’t really have. It gives off a Big Hero 6 vibe with its cartoon-y characters that look like they belong in a kids movie.

On August 2nd, Ovewatch released their seasonal event called the Summer Games. In this event they’ve added over 100 items related to the Summer Olympics! From new skins to poses they have really added some cool content. In addition to the new items they also added a new game mode to Brawl called Lúcio Ball that gives off Rocket League vibes for sure.

I actually got Overwatch because of this event! I had already wanted to purchase the game but this added event really pushed my want to a need. My favorite character so far has been D.VA who got a new skin representing South Korea! As many of you know I actually love Kpop music and Korean culture so I was quite excited. Many of the characters got new skins related to their origin country. Some didn’t get a new skin but they got a voice line, spray, pose or some other item.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I definitely think this was a neat event to add. You can get all these items at random through the Summer Games Loot Boxes. When you level you get a loot box normally but during this even  you get the Summer Games Loot Boxes. I’ve already unboxed several items from this event since I just started it’s made getting the boxes a lot easier. I’ve really enjoyed this game so far and I have my fingers crossed hoping I get D.VA’s new skin! This event is only going on till August 22nd so if you want to get these you better hop on and start grinding those levels!

Here’s their promotional video they posted on their YouTube.

What do you guys think of these new Olympic items on Overwatch? I know I really like it!

Happy Gaming,

Aly

Player Claims To Have Caught First Legendary Pokemon

rsz_1maxresdefault

A player has claimed to have caught a legendary Pokemon in the form of Articuno this is one of the characters that apparently can’t be caught at the moment do to the Legendary Pokemon not being released yet. Someone did snoop into the Pokemon files to obtain a list of Legendary Pokemon and Articuno was on that very list.

Multiple Reddit users have spotted this rare Pokemon on top of a Gym in Ohio and have provided screen shots to prove this.

rsz_147013348517.png

There was also video of someone finding this at the gym location.

The owner of the Articuno is called Kaitcovey who posted about her Pokemon on the Facebook page claiming to have been given the rare Pokemon as part of an apology by the games developer Niantic after contacting them about an issue.

Now I’m not sure how true this actually is as I could see Niantic getting a lot of flack from loyal fans if they were to give Legendary Pokemon away in this manner.

Another reason for Articuno’s appearance could be due to data being modified in the game by an external tool which is not impossible to achieve, although this could cause a huge headache for Niantic to resolve if this is the case and the hack shall we say becomes widespread and other users carry it out.

Another possibility is a glitch in the game causing another type of Pokemon to evolve into a Articuno as there was a report today of a visual bug which caused a Caterpie to reveal itself as a Charizard once captured.

The possibilities are endless but at the moment no one knows the truth of how this Articuno came to be except for the owner.

rsz_dnd8uk9.jpg

So that’s all from me for now lets wait and see what Niantic come back with once the news reaches them.
