Starz Bring ‘American Gods’ And ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ To SDCC 2016

Unfortunately, Outlander won’t be back this year, but no need to worry as Starz are bringing panels and signings from American Gods and Ash vs Evil Dead.

Starz are bringing their highly anticipated upcoming show American Gods, it’s based off the novel by Neil Gaiman. “American Gods posits a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. Its protagonist, Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), an ex-con who becomes a bodyguard and travelling partner for Mr Wednesday (Ian McShane), a conman but in reality one of the older gods, on a cross country mission to gather his forces in preparation to battle the new deities.” The panel will take place Friday July 22nd at 3.15 -4.15pm in Room 6BCF. In attendance will be series stars Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Yetide Badaki, Pablo Shreiber, Bruce Langley and Michael Green, alongside author Neil Gaiman and showrunner Bryan Fuller. The autograph session will take place the same day at 4.45 – 6.00pm at the Starz Booth #4029.

Ash vs Evil Dead

Starz are bringing back their hit horror/comedy show Ash vs Evil Dead which is going into its 2nd season. The panel will take place on Saturday July 23rd at 6.45 – 7.45pm in Room 6A with series stars Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Lee Majors, Ted Raimi and Michelle Hurd. The autograph session will take place the same day at 2.00 – 3.00pm in the Ash vs Evil Dead Cabin at the Petco Park Interactive Zone. There will also be a screening at 10.00pm in Room 6DE.

Entertainment Weekly Introducing Con-X the All New Fan Event at SDCC 2016

EW Con-X

EW will host Con-X at San Diego Comic Con, an awesome 4-day fan event that takes place Thursday July 21st to Sunday July 24th located next to the convention center at Embarcadero Marina Park North. Its free and open to all and is being described as a place you can relax from all the hustle and bustle of the convention center and yet still have great fan experience. There will be food trucks, picnic areas, phone-charging and hydration stations, also, a Schick Hydro Super Shave Shop and People/EW network red carpet booth. It’s sure to be a blast, as throughout the convention EW will host a variety of entertainment on their ‘Spotlight Stage’ and the ‘Con-X Main Stage’ where they discuss your favourite movies, TV shows and comics, alongside some special guests, such as Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk, Gerard Way, Carlton Cuse, the cast of Teen Wolf and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and many more.

HBO and Cinemax Bring 4 Shows to SDCC

HBO and Cinemax return to San Diego Comic Con with panels and autograph sessions. In a somewhat surprising move, HBO have not announced a panel for their upcoming show Westworld, but no need to worry as Fan Favourite show Game of Thrones is back!

That’s right, Winter is coming to SDCC. The panel will take place on Friday July 22nd in Hall H at 2.15pm with moderator Rob McElhenney. The panellists this year will include series stars John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Issac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Conleth Hill (Varys), Fay Marsay (The Waif), Kristian Nairn (Hordor), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), along with EP’s David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, director Michael Sapochnik. The autograph signing is at 4.15pm.

 

In addition, HBO will also bring Silicon Valley and new comedy show Vice Principals. The Silicon Valley panel will take place on Thursday July 21st in Indigo Ballroom at 4.00pm with moderator Dan Snierson. The panellists include series stars Thomas Middleditch (Richard), Kumail Nanjiani (Dinesh), Zach Woods (Jared), Martin Starr (Gilfoyle), Amanda Crew (Monica), along with co-creator/EP Mike Judge, and EP Alec Berg. The autograph signing is at 5.30pm. The Vice Principals is panel will take place on Saturday July 23rd in the Horton Grand Theater at 2.30pm with moderator Matt Mira. The panellists include series stars Walton Goggins (Lee Russell) and Danny McBride (Neal Gamby) who is also creator and EP. The autograph signing is at 6.00pm. Vice Principals is a dark comedy about a high school and two vice principals in an epic power struggle, vying for the top spot: to be school principal. Check out the trailer below:

Outcast Pilot 101Cinemax will be bringing Outcast, the Robert Kirkman series based on the Skybound/Image comic. The panel will take place on Saturday July 23rd in Room 6BCF at 5.15pm with moderator Scott Aukerman. Beam Me Up! Star Trek Is Taking Over SDCC 2016

Star Trek are taking San Diego Comic Con by storm this year, with a bunch of celebratory panels for its 50th Anniversary. That’s right, 50 years of Star Trek, feel old yet? They will not just be hosting panels, but there will be a huge number of collectibles and exclusive merchandise to get your hands on (from Anovos, Entertainment Earth, ThinkGeek and more). Also, they will host a Star Trek art exhibit and exclusive early access at Mac Cosmetics Star Trek inspired line.

Star Trek Art Exhibit – ’50 artists, 50 years’ will include the last piece created by Leonard Nimoy, signings from participating artists. Held at Michael J. Wolf Fine Art on Thursday July 21st through Sunday July 24th, marking the exhibits debut before it begins a worldwide tour.

Mac Cosmetics – located across from the convention center on Thursday July 21st. You can be the first to try out the 25 piece collection, ranging from lipstick to nail polish to eye shadows all inspired by the women of Star Trek.

But that’s not all,

‘Star Trek Beyond’ World Premiere – will take place at comic con on Wednesday July 20th at Embarcadero Marina Park, in the first ever outdoor IMAX premiere. It is sure to be a star-studded event, with the films cast and crew in attendance and a live performance from San Diego symphony orchestra.

Panels:

Star Trek: 5 Decades of Comics – Friday July 22nd at 1.30 – 2.30pm in Room 8. A celebration of all the 4-colour Star Trek worlds, featuring a look at past iterations and a chat with many who have chronicled the Enterprise crews’ comic book adventures, including Len Wein, Scott Tipton, Mike Johnson, John Van Citters and JK Woodward. Moderated by Star Trek editor/supreme commander Sarah Gaydos.

‘Trek Talk’: Science, Smithsonian and Star Trek – Friday July 22nd at 6.30 – 7.30pm in Room 5AB. Will give glimpses at real Trek technology, how star trek influenced modern science and the first look at the fully restored Starship Enterprise from 50 years ago.

Star Trek: The Roddenberry Vault – Saturday July 23rd at 12.30 – 1.30pm in Room 5AB. Back in 1966, it boldly went where no one had gone before, little did anyone expect Star Trek to become one of the most adored and influential entertainment icons of the last half century. The panel will reveal never-before-seen clips and photos from some of Star Treks most beloved episodes.

Star Trek: Celebrating 50 Years (presented by CBS) – Saturday July 23rd at 2.00 – 3.00pm in Hall H. Will be celebrating 50 years of Star Trek, looking back on the best moments and why it was so popular with fans. Original Series star William Shatner is a guest panellist alongside other former Star Trek stars Scott Bakula, Michael Dorn, Jeri Ryan and Brett Spiner. The panel will be moderated by Bryan Fuller, who is Executive Producer on the new upcoming Star Trek series, he teased that some details will be revealed, maybe casting news, plot details or timeline specifics.

Star Trek the Official Starships Collection: Designing and Filming Starships – Saturday July 23rd at 3.00 – 4.00pm in Room 28 D/E. Star Trek concept designer Rick Sternbach and Visual Effects Producer Dan Curry discuss exactly what it takes to take a Starship from the page to the screen and how the process has changed since Star Trek: The Next Generation debuted in 1987 with the introduction of CG. The panel will be moderated by Eaglemoss’s Ben Robinson and everyone who attends will receive a free model Starship from Eaglemoss’s collection.

‘Trek Talks’: Star Trek & NASA Boldly Go – Saturday July 23rd at 6.00 – 7.00pm in Room 5AB. Discussing how Star Trek inspired this generation of NASA scientists, engineers and astronauts. How does NASA’s vision of the future mimics the Star Trek world. The panellists include a few astronauts and NASA employers, and is moderated by Robert Picardo who portrayed The Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager.

San Diego Comic Con 2016 Funko Pop Exclusives! All Of Them!

Let’s face it, everyone loves Funko Pops, they are this generations version of the Beanie Babies. They are cute, collectible and there seems to be no end to them. I started collecting them forSkatronixxx Jr but stopped after realising that I’d never be able to collect them all. Would I still continue collecting them? Sure if I had the money, but alas I have temporarily put my Funko Pop collection on hold, it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy looking at them though!

There are however hardcore Funko fans out there and  the company knows this, that’s why they are aiming to bombard those lucky people who are going to San Diego Comic Con or SDCC with at least nine waves of exclusive figures.

What’s more having the ‘Funko Limited Edition 2016 Comic Con‘ sticker is a prize possesion for any serious collector and a cool trinket for the causal fan.

Warner Bros TV Heads To SDCC 2016 With An Impressive 21 Shows

SDCCWarner Brothers Television show they are a forced to be reckoned with, bringing a record number of 21 show line-up to San Diego Comic Con. They are bringing fan-favourites like The Big Bang Theory and The Vampire Diaries, the long-list of comic book shows from the DCTV universe, and a bunch of newbies like Frequency and Riverdale. There is sure to be many reveals, exclusives and celebrities, with WBTV offering the ultimate fan experience, with panel sessions, free autograph signings and exclusive pilot screenings of their upcoming shows. Those in attendance are;

On Wednesday July 20th

“Preview Night” at 6.00pm – 10.00pm in Ballroom 20, WBTV will host exclusive world premiere screenings of the pilots of the most highly anticipated series of 2016-17 – Riverdale, Powerless, People of Earth, Frequency and Time after Time –as well as a brand new episode of Teen Titans Go! and the debut of Justice League Action.

On Thursday July 21st

Teen Titans Go! panel at 10.15am – 11.15am in Room 6DE – Video presentation and Q&A with producers Aaron Horvath and Pete Michail, with voice cast members Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Khary Payton and Tara Strong.

Inside The Big Bang Theory Writers Room at 10.00am – 11.00am in Ballroom 20 – With the shows season 10 beginning in September, the writers and producers look back on season 9 with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look, and may have a few surprise guests.

The 100 panel at 12.30 – 1.30pm in Ballroom 20 – Video presentation and Q&A moderated by Eric Goldman with the series stars Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, Christopher Larkin and EP Jason Rothenberg, returning for their fourth consecutive year. With ALIE defeated and the clock ticking as earths radiation levels are rising, how will our heroes survive, the panel will include teases of what’s to come in season 4.

People of Earth panel at 2.00 – 2.30pm in Room 6BCF – Pilot Screening and Q&A with series star Wyatt Cenac and EP’s David Jenkins and Greg Daniels. People of Earth is a comedy series about a support group of alien abductees. Check out the trailer below:

Powerless panel at 2.30 – 3.00pm in Room 6BCF – Pilot Screenings followed by a Q&A with cast members Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk and EP Ben Queen, and EP/Director Michael Patrick Jann. Powerless is a comedy set in the DC universe, and follows an insurance adjuster (Vanessa Hudgens) specialising in regular-people coverage against damage caused when superheores and villians treat the city like their personal battle ground. ‘It’s a superhero world. iZOMBIE panel at 5.30 – 6.30pm in Ballroom 20 – Video presentation and Q&A with Rose McIver and other series stars and producers TBA. After the heart-pounding season 2 finale, the panel will reveal exclusive details on what’s to come next season.

 

On Saturday July 23rd 

The Vampire Diaries panel at 11.00 – 11.45am in Ballroom 20 – Ian Somerhalder and more series stars and producers TBA return for their 8th consecutive year with exclusive detail reveals and Q&A.

Blindspot panel at 12.00 – 12.45pm in Indigo Ballroom – Video presentation and Q&A with series stars Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander and writer/executive producer Martin Gero. The explosive season 1 finale left us with a shocking cliffhanger and so many questions, what will happen now Weller has arrested Jane? Will we find out Jane’s identity next season? The panel is sure to give us some clues into what we can expect next season.

The Originals panel at 12.50 – 1.25pm in Indigo Ballroom – Joseph Morgan and more series stars and producers TBA return to SDCC to tease us on what’s to come in season 4, plus a Q&A.

Lucifer panel at 1.30 – 2.05pm in Indigo Ballroom – Sneak peek and Q&A with Tom Ellis and more series stars TBA, and executive producers Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich. Season 2 is sure to be devilishly good.

Gotham panel at 2.10 – 3.00pm in Indigo Ballroom – Video presentation followed by Q&A with Ben McKenzie and more series stars and producers TBA. Set in the DC universe while Bruce Wayne is only a teenager, it follows Jim Gordon in the origin story of DC famous heroes and villains. The stakes will be higher than ever with supervillains flooding Gotham City in Season 2.

Supergirl panel at 3.30 – 4.15pm in Ballroom 20 – Video presentation and Q&A with Melissa Benoist and more series stars and producers TBA, discussing the shows move to the CW and what this could mean for the other CW DC shows. Going into its 2nd season, we are desperate to find out who’s in that pod, what happened to Jeremiah and our first look at the new superman.

Legends of Tomorrow panel at 4.15 – 5.00pm in Ballroom 20 – Video presentation and Q&A with series stars Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Victor Garber and more stars and producers TBA. Going into season 2, who will join the team aboard the Waverider? How will Rex Tyler and the Justice Society of America fit into the teams next mission? Some of these questions may very well be answered during the panel.

The Flash panel at 5.00 – 5.45pm in Ballroom 20 – Video presentation and Q&A with Grant Gustin and more series stars and producers TBA, who can hopefully shed some light on how the timeline will work next season after Barry made the shocking decision to go back in time and save his mother.

Arrow panel at 5.45 – 6.30pm in Ballroom 20 – Returning to SDCC for 5th consecutive year with a Video presentation and Q&A with Stephen Amell and more series stars and producers TBA, a lively discussion on the upcoming season will likely cover how Oliver will cope juggling his duties as the Green Arrow and as the newly appointed mayor of Star City.

Riverdale panel at 6.30 – 7.20pm in Room 6BCF – Pilot Screening and Q&A with series stars and executive producers. Based on the Archie Comics, this TV adaption makes its SDCC debut with teases of what we can expect from this new upcoming show. ‘Things aren’t always what you would expect in Riverdale.’ It may look like a quiet, sleepy town, but there are dangers in the shadows. Starring Archie Comics iconic characters such as Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse – The Suite Life, Friends, Big Daddy), Betty Cooper (Lilli Reinhart – The Kings of Summer) and more.

Frequency panel at 7.25 – 8.15pm in Room 6BCF – Pilot Screening and Q&A with series stars Peyton List (The Tomorrow People, The Flash), Riley Smith (Nashville, The Messengers) and Mekhi Phifer (Torchwood, ER) along with EP’s Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) and Jennifer Gwartz (Lethal Weapon, Veronica Marz). Frequency is about Detective Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) who somehow finds she can talk to her dad two decades in the past through his old vintage radio where they may defy fate and change the course of destiny. Time after Time panel at 8.20 – 9.15pm in Room 6BCF – Pilot Screening and Q&A with series stars Freddie Stroma (Harry Potter films, Pitch Perfect, GOT, UnREAL) and Genesis Rodriguez (Identity Thief, Man on a Ledge, Entourage), and EP’s Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries, Dawson’s Creek, The Following) and Marcos Siega (Blindspot, The Following, The Vampire Diaries). Supernatural panel at 11.15am – 12.15pm in Hall H – Exclusive video presentation that includes seires highlights and special features from the Supernatural: The Complete Eleventh Season DVD due to be released on September 6th. Also, a Q&A with series stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Mark A. Sheppard, with EP’s Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb discussing what we can expect in season 12 with moderators Rob Benedict and Richard Speight.

Animaniacs Live! at 3.00 – 4.15pm in Room 6DE – With voice cast Rob Paulsen, Tress MacNeille and Jess Harnell, along with songwriter Randy Rogel as they perform songs from the beloved animated series.

CBS Line-up Announced For SDCC 2016

CBS have a 3 hour block of panels from 12pm-3pm in Ballroom 20 on Thursday July 21st, it will feature:

Scorpion

The Fan Favourite show returns to SDCC for its 3rd consecutive year, revealing the next seasons plot details, story arcs and what’s next for #Waige and #Quintis. The panel will be moderated by Patrick Gomez, with panellists Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick, Katherine McPhee, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham and Executive Producer Nicholas Wootton.

American Gothic

A panel for the new murder mystery series, with an exclusive sneak peek at what’s behind closed doors at the Hawthorne estate. Stars Juliet Rylance, Antony Starr, Virginia Madisen, Justin Chatwin, Megan Ketch, Elliot Knight, Stephanie Leonidas and Gabriel Bateman.

Fan Favourites

MacGyver

The MacGyver reboot will begin in the fall, a reimagining of the classic series and the panel will include a sneak peek. The Big Bang Theory will get its own separate panel on Thursday July 22nd in Ballroom 20 at 10.00am – 11.00am. With the shows season 10 beginning in September, the writers and producers look back on season 9 with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look.

Star Trek: Celebrating 50 years

On Thursday July 22nd in Hall H at 2.00pm – 3.00pm, they will be celebrating 50 years of Star Trek. San Diego Comic Con 2016 Funko Pop Exclusives! Wave 6

Let’s face it, everyone loves Funko Pops, they are this generations version of the Beanie Babies. They are cute, collectible and there seems to be no end to them. I started collecting them forSkatronixxx Jr but stopped after realising that I’d never be able to collect them all. Would I still continue collecting them? Sure if I had the money, but alas I have temporarily put my Funko Pop collection on hold, it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy looking at them though!

There are however hardcore Funko fans out there and  the company knows this, that’s why they are aiming to bombard those lucky people who are going to San Diego Comic Con or SDCC with at least nine waves of exclusive figures.

What’s more having the ‘Funko Limited Edition 2016 Comic Con‘ sticker is a prize possesion for any serious collector and a cool trinket for the causal fan.
