Yesterday (Monday 29th Aug) I settled in to watch this years VMAs, I lasted 5 minutes before I had to turn it off, otherwise I would be out buying a TV today, preferably one without a remote stuck in it. Why I hear you asking, did I only last 5 minutes? This years hosts were like children who had been fed sugar for days leading up to the show, so much yelling and screaming, I’m not sure they understand the function of the mic, and don’t even get me started with Key and Peel at the start of the VMAs talking utter shit and again not sure they understood the mic’s function either and , unfortunately for me it over shadowed the awesome talent we were celebrating on the night. My Standout Performers
Rihanna
Rihanna received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award this year and was presented by Drake. Rihanna wowed the crowed with her performance, she had a massive dance troupe with her as sung “Work“, Rude Boy“and “Whats My Name“, however it was Rih’s final performance that really got the crowd going, she wore an old school Hollywood gown and belted out “Stay“, “Diamonds” and “Love on the Brain“
