Narnia is coming back to the big screen. (WOO!)
TriStar, the Mark Gordon Company and Entertainment One will financially back an adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ The Silver Chair from the author’s Chronicles of Narnia book series. As of now it is unclear if past cast members from earlier films are returning.
The Silver Chair will take place after the events of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when Prince Caspian has become King Caspian. The story begins with Caspian’s son, the prince, going missing, leading Aslan the lion to send Eustace Scrubb and his boarding school classmate Jill Pope in search of the missing monarch.

The writer behind for the on screen adaptations of Life of Pi and Finding Neverland, David Magee, will pen the script.
The Chronicles of Narnia film franchise began in 2005 with the first film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which grossed $745 million at the worldwide box office. The next two installments in the series,Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader, were released in 2008 and 2010, respectively. The entire franchise has grossed more than $1.6 billion at the global box office.
