Billy Corgan New TNA President!

Billy Corgan is your new TNA President! The Smashing Pumpkins star has been officially announced as the President of Impact Wrestling. Dixie Carter is now in role of Chairman of the company. Corgan will handle all the day-to-day, week to week responsibilities of the company from now on. TNA has been a company whose had a bad reputation of not being “cool.” Hiring Billy is a no-brainer, considering such a huge fan base that follows him. Mixing music fans and wrestling fans, always creates dollar signs. TNA gets a lot of flack for bland storylines and backlash for uncreative wrestling character developement which Billy can definitely change in due time. I believe the change we are about to get is for the better!

Personally I have met Billy a few times at a local pub around town, and he has been nothing but entertaining and outgoing when it comes to his fans. Can this translate to a wrestling company? Corgan has been an animated wrestling fan over the years and is very serious about what he’s getting into. Some might say “any” change in TNA is good change, judging on their past. What changes can Corgan bring to the table that is different and innovative? If you don’t already know him from his hit music, you’re going to learn fast what a creative mind he brings. Every major wrestling company continues to push the envelope of creativity and recently I believe TNA is finally making a bang! TNA is introducing new titles, wrestlers and now a new President! This move by TNA will open doors for so many wrestlers to prove Impact Wrestling is unique and not a joke! This is a major move on their part and shows the seriousness entering the “new era.”

WWE: Booker T Retires Spinnaroonie!

Here is the tweet sent out by Booker T last night:

Mr. Spinnaroonie has announced, that as of July 30, 2016, his vintage spinnaroonie move is retired! Booker T Huffman, a Hall Of Fame, 5x, 5x, 5x, 5x, 5x World Heavyweight Champion! Where to start? Between TNA, WCW, WWE, Booker has won over 30 championships! Booker T has been one of the most entertaining, in-ring performers of this, or any other generation.  Multiple times we have watched him end his ring performance with his patented spinaroonie! If you were a kid growing up watching this, you definitely tried it, I know I did. My favorite feud involving Booker T, was the grocery store @$$ whooping he took from Stone Cold Steve Austin! A moment I will never forget and you can definitely watch again on the WWE Network. Booker also entertained us with his creative King Booker gimmick, after winning the King of the Ring back in 2006, even taking out Jerry Lawler to prove he is the real king! One of the few true wrestlers who, you can tell has an amazing passion for the industry.

In a backstage incident in 2006, Booker got into it with Batista at a photo shoot which left both men bloodied and bruised. I mention this, because that is one of the few rare times, a negative thing about Booker was ever even reported. The man has a very positive influence on everyone around him. In multiple interviews Booker T explains that if it wasn’t for Sid Vicious, the path to professional wrestling could have taken a much different path. Booker credits Sid, for letting him stay in his apartment, after getting him and his brother (Stevie Ray) into WCW. Also mentioning how Sid really got behind them, believing they had something to offer the wrestling world. We all have the privilege now, of hearing Booker’s insight on the RAW pre-show and his amazing laugh! Once again being entertaining and fun to watch. There is so much to say about his career, it would take all day to acknowledge his accolades. If you don’t know, check him out on the WWE Network. Batman: Arkham Underworld Review

 

Ever wanted to be the villain and create your own gang? Imagine what it would be like to create your own empire, and go after the so-called Super Hero! Turbine Inc. has given us, as gamers, the opportunity to do so in a very addicting mobile game titled, Batman: Arkham Underworld. It is the first Arkham game where Joker is not involved in the plot or storyline. Personally I had to stop my infatuation with the game, just to write this!

This mobile game is an RPG MMO hack and slash strategy game. For those who aren’t gamers, pretty much you can attack other players online and build your own base using a simple press of a button, all at your fingertips. Arkham Underworld even gives your story missions throughout as you rank up and advance meeting the likes of characters such as Catwoman, Deadshot, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and much more. The story goes as you are creating your own empire trying to take over Gotham using the villains, I repeat using the villains you unlock during gameplay! Batman does interfere in your process making it extremely difficult to complete tasks. You rob banks, free prisoners and ultimately try to take down a Mob Boss and his henchmen to gain control of that particular territory. It is fun and finally lets us gamers be the bad guys for once. With some missions, you even try and stop Amanda Waller from creating the Suicide Squad!

While recruiting your favorite DC Comic super villains to take over Gotham dominance, you are able to train your gang members, earn respect and build a customizable lair. Your gang as a whole will level up as you build more items in your base which in turn, gains you money and respect. Use this wisely because you also can customize your super villains move-set! I have leveled up Harley Quinn so far, she is now followed around by a pack of dogs helping you kill enemies. My Riddler character has a hologram to take the damage away from him, distracting the police, making it easier to complete your mission. It is a strategy game, which gives you an opportunity to think before you attack. Many missions can be completed fast and easy, if properly thought out. Be careful as certain rooms you cross into can trigger more police incoming or even the Batman himself! Below is a picture of my personal hideout and progress……. Please Don’t Attack Me!!

I can’t rave enough about this game considering I haven’t stop playing it for the past two weeks. Rumor has it if you get far enough, you may be able to eliminate the Dark Knight! A dream many comic lovers have wished for, for a loooooong time! This visually stunning mobile game was released in May 2016 and is set to be worldwide come October 2016.
