The Millers starting to learn a little more about their home’s bloody past and Matt is now experiencing weird happenings like Shelby . Last week we left Shelby just as she had run into a scalped man in the creepy arse forest, so we pick up immediately where we left off in the creepy forest…
Roanoke, Chapter 2
Just when one thought Shelby couldn’t possibly encounter anymore horror, she stumbles upon The Butcher (Kathy Bates) and her village roasting the the scalped man that we seen Shelby runs into in the forest earlier, The Butcher has accused him of desertion and theft and are now purifying him by nailing a pigs tail to his arse and stuffing his head, into a pigs head and then roasting him to medium – well. The Butcher and her sidekick The Horned Woman (Lady Gaga), a woman with an antler-horned headpiece spots Shelby and gives chase, they chase her to the road where she is nearly cleaned up by her sister-in-law Lee. So am I right in assuming that the Butcher and her villages are possibly the lost colony or are the descendants of the lost colony of Roanoke.

The Miller’s are still reeling from the latest round of terror, as Shelby is looked over and tested for hallucinogens at the hospital, you can’t really blame them for drug testing her given the latest story of human sacrifice, but her drug test comes back negative for hallucinogens, however, the officers find no evidence of Shelby’s story. The following morning Shelby tells Matt that’s she believes that the mountain hillbillies have created this elaborate hoax to scare them so the sell up and leave, but she and Matt decide that they will not be driven away from their home that easily.
Lee ex-husband Mason (Charles Whitfield) brings their daughter Flora (Saniyya Sidney) to the house for a visit and, Lee obviously hasn’t told Mason about the goings on in the are creepy arse house, otherwise, you would think the man would have enough sense to keep the child away! Flora finds a new friend in Priscilla (Estelle Hermansen), my evil cat is called Priscilla so I have the feeling she will be just as evil and my cat, Flora tells her mother that Priscilla offered to make her a bonnet if the family will help make “all the blood” stop. Not long after Lee hears a crash and investigates, she finds a little girl’s dirty white bonnet amid a broken vase….. An offering for “all the blood” to stop or is she taunting them?

Shelby thinks Lee bringing Flora to the house is asking for trouble, Later on, Shelby is woken by the sound of squealing pig outside, her and Matt head into the woods (Why People Why!) however they become separated from each other, it dark and the become disoriented. Shelby stumbles upon the sacrificial fire, Matt eventually finds her and the are fronted with someone’s roast dinner hanging on a wooden effigy, which Matt doesn’t hesitate to destroy. Matt sends the Police to the site, they put a bulletin out for the Hillbillies, Ishmael Polk (Grady Richmond) and his sons as well as put a 24hr protective detail oné the Millers. Perhaps I have it all wrong, and the Hillbillies are actually the descendants of the lost colony, not The Butcher and her villagers?
Matt receives a phone call int the wee hours of the morning and goes downstairs to answer it. When he lifts the receiver, the voice on the other end says “Please, they’re hurting me”, when he looks done he realises that the phone was unplugged from the wall. As he turns around he sees two nurses who taunt the old women before executing her with a shot to the head for refusing to take the poison-laced medicine. The wall is already covered in blood, but the still thinks it needs a little more decorating so they spray paint it with an “M”, the sadistic nurse’s laugh… “M” is for “Margaret“(Irene Roseen).

Mason arrives to pick Flora but neither of them can find her, she was playing “Hide and seek” inside a small cupboard under the stairs with Priscilla, Flora offered the Priscilla her doll in exchange for not killing the family, however now the deal is off and they will kill Flora last, Mason grabs Flora and bundled her into the car, the guy couldn’t leave fast enough. With Flora being ripped from her mother and most likely will not see her again, has made Lee go off the sober tracks and she writes herself off. Shelby calls Matt to confirm that there is actually a woman outside the window, and what do they do….. They go looking for her and again, have they not learned from the last time they went looking. They track the woman to a trap door which leads to a cellar, meanwhile the sadistic nurses what over Lee.

Shelby and Matt look around the cellar and find that it actually not a cellar someone was living in there, they find a VHS camera with an intact tape. The man on the tape is Elias Cunningham (Denis O’Hare) and the tape is from 11-10-1997, he describes the same malevolent forces pursuing him as Matt and Shelby. He was studying the nurses, Miranda (Maya Berko) and Bridget Jane (Kristen Rakes) who killed their retirement home patients purely based on the first letter of the victims’ names, spelling the unfinished word “Murder”. Previous tenants have experienced the unfinished word constantly reappearing despite painting and wallpapering the wall. Matt starts removing the wallpaper from the kitchen where it was written and sure enough the word was lying behind the wallpaper.

Matt and Shelby call the bank wanting a refund for their investment property, however, the bank refuses and explains to them that the auction of the property has absolved the bank of responsibility. Lee arrives with Flora and is now in violation the custody agreement, Flora sees her friend calling her into the woods, but when they search for Flora they only find her hoodie at the top of a tree which is at,least a hundred feet over their heads.
