Killjoys SN2 EP6 – ‘I Love Lucy’

In this episode, somebody’s got some ‘splainin to do!

We find D’Avin in OldTown attempting to buy something called Hawk 9 from an old bag man on a scoot who is supplementing his income illegally. He offers D’Av a taste, which Johnny promptly shoots out of his hand. When it lands on the ground it eats it. Acid!! The canny old man has made him for a Killjoy, and scoots off, shouting “Screw you Killjoy!” D’Av shouts after him that he’s just embarrassing himself, and if he doesn’t stop, he will shoot the vehicle. Again, Johnny stops him, while wondering if D’Av even read the warrant. The man is an explosives dealer, and the mechanized shopping cart is full of liquid explosives. But Johnny’s not in any hurry to run after the man, because he’s always got a back up plan. In this case, the shot that knocked the glass of acid out of D’Av’s hand also tranked the old guy. The scoot crashes, the liquid explosives go rolling down the road in its spherical metal receptacle, and the boys have to give chase anyway. Warrant complete.
