
On the 12th of June all eyes were on the theater greats as they were celebrated for their incredible talent at the annual Tony Awards. This years event was hosted by a Tony Award winner himself James Corden and held at the Beacon Theatre in New York. Some of the presenters this year included – Cate Blanchett, Glenn Close, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Neil Patrick Harris and many more. Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed
In May 1921, the new musical Shuffle Along became the unlikeliest of hits, significantly altering the faces of the Broadway musical as well as that of New York City. Because of Shuffle Along, Uptown and Downtown met and became one.
Waitress
A new musical based on the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly with a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by five-time Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles.
