This Is The Day You Will Always Remember As The Day The Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Teaser Was Released!

maxresdefaultGrab yer bottles of rum, ye scurvy seadogs as the new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (or ‘Salazar’s Revenge’ here in the UK) teaser has been released.

The new teaser doesn’t reveal a great deal, although it offers us how first glimpses at Javier Bardem (Skyfall) as Captain Jack Sparrow’s old enemy Salazar and Brenton Thwaites’ (MaleficentHenry.

The teaser contains a nice Curse of the Black Pearl vibe that will hopefully carry across to the film, however the absence of Johnny Depp (Edward Scissorhands) is strange. Hopefully the first full trailer will make up for the lack of Jack Sparrow with plenty of shots of everybody’s favourite alcoholic pirate.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge marks the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow,  Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings) as fan-favourite character Will Turner (who has been absent since At World’s End), Kevin McNally (Doctor Who) as Gibbs, Geoffrey Rush (Finding Nemo) as Barbossa and Stephen Graham (This Is England) as Scrum. The first also stars Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner) as Carina Smyth, Golshifteh Farahani (Exodus: Gods and Kings) as Haifaa Meni, Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar,Brenton Thwaites as Henry and David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings) as Scarfield.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge comes to our shores on 26th May 2017.

An Interview With Cosplayer Welsh Jenny

main
Hi Readers
It’s time for another cosplay interview, this time we meet Welsh Jenny. Welsh Jenny first caught my attention with her Star Wars cosplay! Let’s find out some more about Welsh Jenny .

1) How did you get into cosplaying?

I met Matt Maisto, who was writing for MTV2 at the time through a mutual photographer friend and we ended up talking about our love of comic books, sci-fi and horror movies. Then we went to a few conventions together and I saw people in some really amazing costumes. That’s how I got hooked.

2) Where do you get your inspiration and ideas to cosplay from? Is it from programs you watch now or childhood programs or both?

I would say both. I remember watching reruns of Wonder Woman as a kid. That was a big influence, but so is The Force Awakens, The Simpsons and anything Disney. I LOVE Disney.

3) How do you put your outfits together are they 100% from scratch and if so what’s been your trickiest part to date?

I started off just wanting to get involved so I had costumes that were store-bought and then I worked my way into custom stuff. I’m very lucky to have friends who are professional special f/x makeup artists who have helped breathe life into my ideas.

4) What’s your favourite cosplay to date?

I really loved being Marge Simpson, but I also really loved being a Venom version of Mary Jane Watson. They’re very different from each other. Marge was fun and easy. There was more pressure to get Mary Jane right, however Matt and I went together as a team (he was Spider-Man) so it was great having someone to play off of.

5) If you’ve cosplayed at a convention what was the experience like?

WOW! Hitting up something like the New York Comic Con always makes me feel a bit like a rock star especially when people are stopping you every five minutes for a picture.

6) Can we expect to see you at any conventions this year?

You will be able to find me at the New York Comic Con 2016, but I’m not going to tell you what I’m wearing. It’s a surprise.

7) If you could cosplay as anyone and budget wasn’t an issue who would it be?

Like I said, I love all things Disney. I’d love to cosplay as either Maleficent or in a really accurate C3-PO costume.

8) Do you have any words of advice for up and coming cosplayers?

Don’t be afraid! Go for it! Have a plan. Think really hard about what you want to do and be clear about how you’re going to do it.
