An Interview With Cosplayer Vivi Bunny Cosplay

Hi Readers

It’s time for another cosplay interview, this time we meet Vivi Bunny Cosplay. Vivi Bunny Cosplay first caught my attention with her amazing Nidalee cosplay! Let’s find out some more about Vivi Bunny Cosplay  .

1) How did you get into cosplaying?

I was always interested in cosplaying from a very young age and dressing at Halloween was always something I loved! But it wasn’t until around May 2015 that I actually did my first costume! There was this small convention and I decided to dress up as Harley Quinn just for fun and at the convention I had so many people ask me if I had a facebook page or Instagram so they could follow me. And so I went home to create a page and decided to keep making costumes ever since!

2) Where do you get your inspiration and ideas to cosplay from? Is it from programs you watch now or childhood programs or both?

I would say my biggest inspiration is from video games! I am an avid video game player and I play way too much for my own good! I usually try to cosplay characters from the video game I am currently playing the most! It used to be League of Legends and a few MMOs but now Overwatch has taken over my life! Besides video games I think it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to cosplay a certain character because I feel like I can pull it off or other times I just want something cute or sexy!

3) How do you put your outfits together are they 100% from scratch and if so what’s been your trickiest part to date?

I always try to do everything by myself from scratch! Exept for wigs and small accessories I can’t do myself! The biggest challenge I’ve ever had was when I started building armor! I never had any experience with it and when I did my first big armor which was Rengar, I’ve had to do everything like 2 or 3 times because I didn’t know how to do it or I didn’t like the way it looked.

4) What’s your favourite cosplay to date?

My favourite cosplay would be my Nidalee cosplay. It’s probably one of my most comfortable one and also one of the first ones where I got the most recognition for!

5) If you’ve cosplayed at a convention what was the experience like?

I always have a great time at conventions! I’ve made so many friends and met so many people during my little time as a cosplayer! When I go there it’s almost like I am in a different world where being different and weird isn’t different and weird.. Am I making any sense?! Also most of the people at conventions are usually super nice and respectful of you. It always feels good when someone compliments you on your costume! The only time where I wish I wasn’t at a convention was during Anime North 2016. On the second day, I was booked back to back with different photographers for almost 7 hours straight and it was so hot that my armor started melting and the glue didn’t hold so I had to go back to the hotel room to fix everything and it was just painful for me!

6) Can we expect to see you at any conventions this year?

I will be attending the Otakuthon 2016 in Montreal. I will also be heading to the Montreal Dreamhack and in October I will be cosplaying at the League of Legends semi-finals in NYC! I usually try to attend most if not all the conventions in my area but sadly there’s isn’t as much conventions as I’d hope!

7) If you could cosplay as anyone and budget wasn’t an issue who would it be?

One of my dream cosplay is Sylvanas from World of Warcraft! I just haven’t had the time to tackle her yet!

8) Do you have any words of advice for up and coming cosplayers?
I would say the best advice I can give to anyone getting into the cosplay is to not give up and to always try to best yourself from costume to costume because that’s how you will improve! Never say you can’t do it or it’s too hard! Try it out and if you don’t like the results do it again until it’s perfect for you!

Another advice is to never ever let people bring you down. You are cosplaying for yourself and you have to be enjoying it. If you aren’t having fun doing what you love then there’s no point in doing it at all!

9) Where can we find you online?

There you go readers Vivi Bunny Cosplay! Don’t be shy go say hi and say ‘Skatronixxx sent me!’
