Shooting wrapped up in mid-April 2016 and we can expect it to grace our screens in the first-half to mid-year, closer to the early side of the mid-year 2017.

Let’s take a look at the synopsis in Mark Frost’s book The Secret History of Twin Peaks (which I have just purchased) as it might provide us with some ever welcome clues

Twenty-five years after Dale Cooper’s investigation of the murder of Laura Palmer, the FBI gets hold of a box it won’t divulge the provenance of. In the box is a huge dossier. A female FBI agent is tasked to analyse all the documents inside, and everything related to the strange town of Twin Peaks. She also has to determine the identity of the person who compiled the dossier. Along the way, she discovers secrets about the lives of the town’s residents, but also investigative reports from Dale Copper, who has since vanished, newspaper clippings, and autopsy report and the other classified information. So what has happened since the death of Laura Palmer and why has an anonymous “archivist’ compiled such a thorough dossier on the town of Twin Peaks and it’s origins?

We can expect more episodes then the original series had, although the exact number of episodes have not been officially confirmed just yet, however, Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer) and Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne) told fans at Crypticon Seattle that we can expect an 18-episode season. If you have not seen the original Twin Peaks or it has been a long time since watching it, I would highly recommend you catch up and familiarize yourself ready for Twin Peaks Season 3 in 2017. Check out the latest teaser and trailers below.

Hello fellow Holmes fans, I am almost caught up so without further ado let’s have a quick recap of episode 6 before we get down to business with episode 7 recap.

SN05-EP06 ‘Ill Tidings’

Holmes and Watson investigate a mass murder when a chef and his patrons are poisoned after dining on a tasting menu tainted with snake venom. Meanwhile, Bell’s crush on a work colleague makes Sherlock realise his relationship with Fiona is at an important crossroads.

SN05-EP07 ‘Bang Bang Shoot Chute’

Joan’s (Lucy Liu) sister comes for dinner and shared some concerns about Shinwell (Nelson Ellis)she seen him speaking with a man who looked like trouble and suggests it may be a good idea for Joan to check in on him. Two base jumpers prepare to jump off a building, as the take the leap one of the jumpers become the target of a sniper, and plunges to his death being shot through the chest but his buddy flees the scene, which poses the question, if he set his buddy up to be murdered, why else would you flee the scene? Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) arrives at the scene and found the victim’s chute had also be cut, though it appeared to be the bullet that killed him. With a tapered chute and a bullet in the victim is clear that there has been an attempted murder and a murder, why did two different people want the victim Bennett dead?

The victim’s wife has and alibi and had also tried to take her husband out of jumping that night , she suggested that perhaps the other jumper, Bennett’s camera man, is to blame. One of the jumpers friend’s who used to jump with them had died when he and Bennett collided and knocked him out. Arturo wasn’t able to deploy his chute and plunged to his death. Sherlock reviewed the base jumping videos in order to find a lead and the whereabouts of the friend who fled the scene. Sherlock was able to find him by tracking the high-tech camera equipment instead of the phone. They Bring Mark in and Sherlock notices Joan’s sister is at the station, she is looking through the old mug shots to identify the man Shinwell had met at his apartment. Mark claimed he didn’t kill Bennett, instead, he claimed that Arturo’s sister who was a West Point cadet with sniper rifle skills, however, it was better for her if Bennett was alive in order to publish her brother’s book.

Sherlock looked into Arturo’s book and found a photo of him and Bennett from when they were contracted to guard shipments of money into Iraq, the photo was labelled “our one regret”, which appeared to indicate that they may have had a chance to take some money and turned it down. Joan met with “Tall Boy“, the man who Joan’s sister saw Shinwell meeting. Joan asks why he threatened Shinwell‘s parole, he claimed that Shinwell reached out to him. A guy named Declan showed up on Sherlock’s doorstep, he admitted to stealing some of the money for the Iraq shipments and claimed he didn’t kill Bennett, the $500k that he had given to Bennett was not blackmail, it was a high-interest rate loan that Bennett made payments on every month. The case leads Sherlock and Joan to a private skydiving plane, which appears to be registered to a shell corporation out of Canada, Bennett had been smuggling something back and forth over the US/Canadian border. When they dug deeper, they found he was smuggling people, the latest pair smuggled what an Iraqi warlord wanted for war crimes and his daughter.

Sherlock and Shinwell play chess and Sherlock advises him not to throw it all away, the finally track down the warlord and his family, he side with the Taliban when they were in power but when the lost power he then side with allied forces while they were in command, but when the Taliban regained control the no longer trusted him and killed his brother and threatened to kill his family, which is why the fled. They had no reason to kill Bennett and they led them to speak to the pilot, they tracked him down and he confesses but Sherlock isn’t buying it, he makes the connecting that he is Bennett’s wife’s father and clearly protecting his daughter. They bring in Bennett’s wife in again and she admitted to sabotage, Bennett had been having an affair she cut all the chutes. Sherlock went back to the Iraqi family who said shortly after they arrived with their son, their daughter ran away and the son went after her, with military training the explained that after killing Bennett, he would kill his sister in order to get the family name back. Sherlock and the team track him down and arrest him just as he is about to take a shot at his sister. Joan sees Shinwell and he doesn’t want her help and more, he is dangerous and she needs to walk away.

Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller), Watson (Lucy Liu) and Bell (Jon Michael Hill)  investigate the murder of Russell Cole , a Quantitative Analyst that worked for Mitch Barry (Richard Thomas) when he wasn’t freelancing on his own, Holmes believes it most likely had something to do with a missing laptop that was stolen from the scene of the crime. Holmes gets a text from Captain Gregson (Aidan Quinn) asking him to come by the office and Watson and Bell head to Cole’s office, his boss tells them that Cole was like family, Barry said Cole was a mad genius and he gave him a long leash. The cabin has papers and files everywhere, however, they aren’t financial but scientific, Sherlock says the fate of life on earth is why he was killed. Sherlock explains that Cole was working on the end of the world, Cole had submitted a paper on asteroids and calculations on collisions and the threat to human existence. Sherlock and Joan head to the New York Science Centre to see Julius Kent (Owain Yeoman), the celebrity astronomer who Sherlock hates to work with, he and Sherlock went to boarding school together. Kent said he knew about Cole’s paper and says Cole’s theory is that asteroid’s makeup can affect the temperature, however, his paper had a lot of errors. Cole had a solution but Kent said NASA already shelved a satellite proposal thanks to Cole’s paper and it could have cost companies $500 million. Bell finds a waitress that recognised Cole and she tells Bell and Joan that he was behaving strangely, he didn’t use his laptop but had it with him, Joan finds a thumb drive stuck in a wall and believes it could be a dead drop.

elementary-season-5-episode-4-3-df21

Joan and Bell tell Gregson that Cole had a partner on the paper and that the mistakes were left in there in error and were designed to kill the satellite project, his partner was paying him. They bring Barrett in and he accuses them of lying, he love Cole like a brother. Joan and Sherlock meet Congressman Salazar and her science advisor Grant, they learn that $500 million didn’t go anywhere and all proposed projects are on hold and cold be a decade before they get it on track again. Sherlock has a new theory, what if delaying the research for a decade was the point, what if asteroid mining would profit, they are packed with precious minerals. There are four companies looking at asteroid mining along with government, they may want to slow things down so they can mine the skies for gold. Grant shows up to the Science Centre and Joan tells him his office is being searched by the police and they believe he killed Cole and co-writing the paper, Grant was lobbying for the asteroid mining companies before working for Salazar, they have the DNA, the couch and they can match the oil to the plants at Cole’s cabin. Lucifer SN2-EP4 ‘Lady Parts’

670

Last week Lucifer and Decker investigate a gruesome murder after a video of the crime surfaced on social media, and Mamma Morningstar is to live as Charlotte Richards  as her punishment handed down by Lucifer. We also seen Amenadiel really struggling with the loss of his powers.

SN2-EP4 ‘Lady Parts’

It looks like Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Decker (Lauren German) have another serial killer on their hands this week as they investigate the death of two young women. Lucifer is distracted while in session with Dr Martin (Rachael Harris), he is playing Sex Words with Friends on his first mobile phone with Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Dr Martin tells Lucifer, his distraction could be a barrier for his problems, but Lucifer hears that distraction will help from having to deal with his problem with mamma dearest.

lucifer-2-04-lady-parts-siri

Lucifer isn’t the only one who is distracted and you can see that when they arrive at the crime scene, Lucifer senses that Decker needs to get out and live a little. Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) looking like a Stepford wife is a little frazzled as she throws her failed spicy chicken casserole in the bin, Charlotte tells Maze she has learnt that having sex with her husband renders him mute. But even though it’s worse than hell she gets to be close to her sons.

Ella (Aimee Grarcia) figured out that one of the young girls Daria died from mandrake poisoning. With Decker and Dan (Kevin Alejandro) getting a divorce, she will need to find a new place to live, which Lucifer finds as the perfect distraction and makes some calls on Decker’s behalf. The duo arrives at the house of the last person Daria had spoken with, they are met at the door by a man brandishing a butcher knife and covered in blood… It’s ok he was making sausages. Decker also notices how distracted Lucifer  in frustration he calls Maze to ask her to Chloe out for drinks in hopes it distracts her.

lucifer-204_scn15_bs0062_hires2-800x534

Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) stops by Dr Martins to return a book, she can tell something is wrong and as a friend, she offers to listen. However, he tells Dr Martin that his problem is physical, that things aren’t working like they used to. Dr Martin thinks that Amenadiel is talking about Amenadiel Jr not standing to attention and tells him to loosen up, if only that was the problem it would be differently easier to fix .

lucifer-204_scn20_bs0115_hires1

Decker and Lucifer find Daria’s roommate dead in Daria’s apartment with the same triangle stamp on her wrist. Decker rocks up at Lux and wants to go over the lab report, Maze suggests that she and Decker go to the bar that the roommates had been to. It quickly turns into a girls night, and Dr Martin suggests they all share a secret to break the ice. We learn Dr.Martin was a phone sex operator, Ella stole cars, we already know Maze was forged in hell and Decker drops the divorce bomb.

lucifer-season-2-episode-4-500x333

Decker and Lucifer figure out that Daria’s neighbour Lily is responsible for the girl’s deaths.  Maze tells Lucifer that she and Decker are going to be roommates, Lucifer is convinced all the women is his life are ganging up on him. Amenadiel asks Lucifer what he asked their father for in exchange for bringing their mother back to hell. Amenadiel points out that Lucifer hasn’t fulfilled his part of the deal, and Decker’s life could be in grave danger. However, Lucifer doesn’t believe their father would be interested in one little soul….. Decker is driving while talking to a landlord about an apartment, when she is suddenly hit by another car.

Lucifer SN2-EP3 ‘Sin-Eater’

670

Welcome back to another episode recap of the devil we love Lucifer. Keeping with tradition let’s have a quick recap of last week’s episode –

SN2-EP2 “Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire.

Last week Lucifer’s mother, Charlotte, turns up at the scene of a grizzly murder pleading innocence, Lucifer is hesitant to believe her tale. Lucifer, not wanting to leave her home alone, he instructs Maze to babysit her – but under no circumstances is Maze to torture her, which buys Lucifer some time to investigate the case with Chloe

lucifer-203_scn2_mc0204_hires2

Lucifer SN2-EP3 “Sin-Eater”

This week Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and DetChole Decker (Lauren German) are called in to investigate a murder after a video of the gruesome crime surfaced on social media. When a second video appears they quickly realise they have a serial killer who likes to punish people, which immediately intrigues our devil, while at the same time it makes him question his own need to punish people. We also see a friendship starting between CSI Ella (Amiee Garcia) and Lucifer this week, as the bond over the murder victim’s roasted crotch.

Best line of the episode…”Do not touch the charred crotch, Lucifer.”

The investigation leads them to a website “Wobble” a competitor of Facebook, where both of the victim videos and the humiliation video were posted and at which one of the victims worked. Decker and Lucifer believe one of the moderators have had enough of the horrible clips and has now turned Vigilante. The website uses content moderators to screen all posted videos for inappropriate material; which we learn the head of the company Lelia (Robin Givens) who has been helping Decker with her investigation used to be a moderator. So, of course, Decker and Lucifer immediately suspect head of the company is responsible

lucifer-2-03-sin-eater-do-not-touch-the-charred-crotch-1024x576

Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Dr Martin (Rachael Harris) are having drinks at Lux when Mamma Morningstar (Tricia Helfer) arrives, Maze’s anger at Charlotte is noticed by Dr Martin and encourages Maze to talk to Lucifer about the issue, but instead Maze leaves to speak to Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside). Charlotte pushes Lucifers buttons when she questions why he still labels himself a punisher, “it’s what I do. It’s  what I have always done” he replies. She tells him no,  this is what your father always wanted you to do. Is Lucifer still sub-consciously still trying to impress and win over father’s approval? Lucifer gets his devil eyes on, but Charlotte doesn’t even blink.

Amenadiel is having a pity party for one, drinking wine and eating takeout, Maze knocks on the door he quickly cleans up with a dust buster, not wanting maze to discover he is losing his divinity, however, she thinks he is cleaning up after having a lady friend over. She asks him so go talk to Lucifer and stop him from seeing the “new woman” in his life. Amenadiel arrives at Lux looking for  Lucifer but instead finds the woman Maze was talking about, she briefly plays a human, saying that she just want to get closer to her sons, but eventually  Charlotte admits who she is and that she just wants her family back, she doesn’t want to be sent back to hell but if he must then she is ready to go. Except we know that would be an impossible task to complete.

lucifer-season-2-episode-3-photos-sin-eater-12-1024x682

Decker and Lucifer can’t find Leila, but then a message comes through that Leila will kill herself live on the air on Wobble. Decker and Lucifer follow ha hunch that it will go down at Wobble and head to Wobble HQ, they find Leila tied up and recording a video with the HR guy Raymond (Vik Sahay) recording it. Lelia is doused in petrol and Raymond is holding a lighter so Decker can’t shoot him without blowing them all up. As Raymond dropped the lighter she sets off the fire extinguishing system. Turns out Raymond enjoyed seeing people beg for forgiveness.

Chloe and Dan (Kevin Alejandro) talk about the camping trip, Chloe said earlier they couldn’t go on the trip because it was unfair to give Trixie (Scarlett Estevez)false hope of the family being together again, Dan agrees they shouldn’t go on the trip and that they are both better apart for Trixie’s sake, and it’s time they get a divorce. Lucifer returns to Lux and is relieved to find mum hasn’t been sent back to hell, Lucifer a man of his word hands down his punishment to his mother, she must live out her time on Earth as Charlotte Richards, the human. Leaving Lux,  Charlotte walks down a dodgy street and gets mugged. When he struggles with her, she throws him, with little effort against that wall. She is surprised at her new strength and walks away with a strut and clearly pleased with herself. I think Mamma Morningstar is going to be trouble with a capital T!

Wheelies Day Out To Miss Fisher’s Costume Exhibition

wp-1469613141614.jpg

Phryne Fisher

Last week I was lucky enough to win a double pass to the Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries Costume exhibition at Old Government House which is in Brisbane, Australia. I attended the exhibition on Sunday 24th of July and our pass also included the Garden Party which was on the lawn areas of Old Government House and my god what a sight it was to see, there were young and old all done to the nines in 1920s attire all enjoying the picnic on the laws with beautiful hampers with fancy sandwiches, tea an cakes aplenty with a trio belting out hits of the 20s, while folks floated across the dance floor but for me the best part was the costume exhibition, every piece in the exibition was actually worn in the show, they were all incredibly beautiful and all designed by australian designer Marion Boyce. Marion and her team created 120 costumes for the series, including sleepwear, daywear, nightwear and special occasion outfits.
For those that have not heard of or watched Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries then here is a little background about one of my all time favorite Australian crime series if you haven’t seen it then you my friends are missing out!

What is Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and who is Miss Fisher?

Well Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries is an Australian television drama series and it based on the author Kerry Greenwood’s novels and was created by Deb Cox and Fiona Eagger, the series revolves around the personal and professional life of Phryne Fisher played by Essie Davis, a glamorous private detective in 1920s Melbourne who continually keeps Detective Inspector John “Jack” Robinson played by Nathan Page and his Constable Hugh Collins played by Hugo Johnston-Bert on their toes with her sass and smarts.

wp-1469613110990.jpg

Dot, Jack, Phryne and Hugh

The other cast members include:
Dorothy “Dot” Williams is Miss Fisher’s paid companion, Dot is a devout Catholic and is in a relationship with Hugh Collins. Dot is played by Ashleigh Cummings

Mr Butler is Miss Fisher’s loyal butler played by Richard Bligh, is an excellent household manager who provides good advice when needed, Mr Butler is also a veteran from the Australian Imperial Force who can put up a fight if needed to.

Bert Johnson and Cec Yates played by Travis McMahon and Anthony Sharpe, Two working-class friends and devout communists, who often assist Miss Fisher’s investigations.

Dr Elizabeth “Mac” Macmillan played by Tammy MacIntosh, is Miss Fisher’s close friend and doctor at a woman’s hospital in Melbourne

Jane Ross played by Ruby Rees-Wemyss, is Miss Fisher’s ward, who shares the same name with Phryne’s deceased sister.

Prudence Elizabeth Stanley played by Miriam Margolyes, is Miss Fisher’s aunt and a reputation-conscious society matron.

Murdoch Foyle played Nicholas Bell, a former university lecturer imprisoned after the disappearance of Miss Fisher’s sister Jane.

wp-1469613076051.jpg

Jack & Phryne

The photos really don’t do the stunning costumes justice, in person they are absolutely beautiful and I was in awe of the whole exhibition and so lucky I got the opportunity to see it. Below I have created a little video of the exibition so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it. You will also find links to the Miss Fisher’s site. Miss Fisher also has a YouTube channel.

Interview With UK Crime Writer Tom Bale

Tom Bale 01

UK Crime Writer Tom Bale

After my review about Tom Bale’s recent book  ‘See how they run’, I can proudly announce, that he agreed to give me an interview too! How cool is that? I’m pretty excited to share this awesome interview about an incredidbly talented writer with you . Let’s find out some more about top author Tom Bale.

First of all, the question you’ll probably answer the most.

How did you become a writer?

A lot of reading, and a lot of writing: it really is as simple as that. I’ve never taken any classes, never belonged to a writers’ group or had any kind of mentoring. I just read a lot of books, and taught myself how to analyze what worked and what didn’t. Over the years I wrote short stories, novels, TV scripts, comedy sketches, poems – I sent them out and got nearly all of them rejected, but gradually I began to get a few encouraging comments from editors, and I used that feedback to improve my writing.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and how your job as a fulltime writer changed your life.

I was submitting my work from the age of fifteen, but it took nearly a quarter of a century to become a full-time writer. Before that happened I had various other jobs – I was an insurance claims handler, a project manager and business analyst, and I also had a few years at home as a house-husband when my children were very young. When I finally had the break-through it was literally a dream come true – I still have to pinch myself, almost, at the thought that I earn a living from making up stories.

What is your writing progress? Do you have a strict process from the shape of the idea to the finished book?

Often I set out to write a detailed plan, but I tend to reach a point where the notes start to morph into the book itself. My main goal, once I’ve begun, is simply to get a finished draft, no matter what kind of state it’s in. That means I usually end up with a large, messy document, full of odd little ideas that I’ve thrown in on impulse – and then the real work begins! I love the process of rewriting, throwing out the ideas that no longer fit, and building up those that do. Typically I will cut around 25% of the total word count in order to get the story as streamlined as it can possibly be.

What do you feel when you have finished a book? And what is the first thing you do, when you’ve finished a book? Probably sleeping the whole day, right?

That’s a good question – and very relevant right now, as I’ve just finished an intense period of rewriting. For several weeks I was working from 8am till 2am, seven days a week, so catching up on sleep is certainly a high priority! There’s always a great exhilaration when a book is finished, and but the strange thing is how quickly it wears off – within a few days I’m usually starting to feel a bit low, a bit grouchy, and then my wife will remind me that I’m always like this when I’m not writing, and that means it’s time to think about the next project.

Let’s have a look at your recent work, how did you came up with the idea for ‘See how they run’?

See How They Run is different to most of my books in that it was inspired by a real event. Someone tried to break into our house one night, soon after I’d gone to bed. Because I was still awake, I heard a noise and then saw our outside light come on. When I opened the bedroom window, the intruder escaped through the garden. But afterwards I realized that if I’d been asleep I probably wouldn’t have heard him – and the thought of someone prowling through the house where my family were sleeping was very scary. From that I came up with the idea of a young couple, Harry & Alice, who wake to find two men in their room, demanding to know the whereabouts of a man called Renshaw…

I have to say, that I really liked the bad guys the most. You really have a talent for bad guys, don’t you?

Thank you, that’s very kind. I have to admit that I love writing the scenes with my bad guys, though I have to be careful not to become too sympathetic to them. It’s a case of getting the right balance, so that they come across as human rather than cartoon-like, while also remaining nasty enough to truly unsettle the reader.

What inspires you during writing? Do you listen to music, or do you got out for a walk and just let the nature inspire you?

Most days I try to leave the house and walk or cycle to a local café. I find that a bit of fresh air and exercise helps to get me in the right mood to write; and odd as it sounds, I often find it easier to concentrate in a busy environment – especially if I make sure there’s no wifi! But for the rewriting and editing I prefer to work at home in my study, and then I’ll often listen to music. As long as it’s something very familiar, I find it easy to concentrate with music playing.

Do you have some ideas, which you want to put into a new book?

I have lots that I haven’t yet been able to use, some of them going back twenty years or more. Although I mainly write thrillers, I sometimes get ideas that are better suited to other genres. At the moment there’s a supernatural horror novel that I’m desperate to write, but it’s probably going to have to wait a while.

Can you remember your very first story, you’ve written?

I can remember it very clearly indeed. It was called The Other Side of the Hill, and I wrote it when I was thirteen. It’s about a young boy who takes his dog for a walk – they discover an alien spacecraft and come to a grisly end!

One last question: Can you tell us a little bit about your upcoming book ‘All fall down’?

Yes, All Fall Down is another standalone thriller, which starts with the Turner family enjoying a Sunday afternoon barbecue. Suddenly a dying man stumbles into their garden, pleading for help. The family do what they can, but the man dies before he can tell anyone what happened to him. In the days that follow, the Turners experience a number of strange and unsettling events, but by the time they realize they’re being stalked, it’s too late…

Lucifer SN1EP13 – ‘ Take Me Back To Hell ‘

luci

Well what a way to finish the first season of Lucifer, I really thought the handsome Devil was a goner that’s for sure. Don’t know about you guys but I am definitely looking forward to seeing where season two will take us and hopefully will answer some of the questions that the season finale left us with. Before we get into the final episode of Lucifer here is a brief recap of SN1-EP12.

SN1EP12 – ‘ #TeamLucifer ‘

When a member of a satanic church is killed. Lucifer is greatly disturbed that anyone would kill in his name. When it turns out Malcolm is trying to frame him for murder in the name of Amenadiel, Lucifer gets into a fight with him. Lucifer comes to realizes that it is Chloe who makes vulnerable to bodily injury.

SN1EP13 – ‘ Take Me Back To Hell ‘

Lucifer finds himself framed for the murder of the preacher that is lying on the floor in LUX with bullet to the head, Lucifer spurs the newbie cop to shoot him and as the newbie shoots Lucifer disappears into thin air and finds himself with his brother Amenadiel on the roof of the Roosevelt Hotel. The brothers have to team up in order to take Malcolm down the now at large dirty cop with a lot of blood on his hands and axe to grind with the world and nothing to lose with Lucifer’s Pentecostal Coin. Chloe finally learns what we knew all along that Dan was actually involved in the Palmetto case and that he lead her to believe she was crazy and seeing things that day.

Chloe and Dan work to clear Lucifer’s name but in order to do so Dan has to hand himself in for taking the weapon from evidence for Malcolm which was used to kill the preacher and to frame Lucifer for the murder and also for his involvement in the Palmetto case, might this be the end of the line for Dan or is there still more to his story? The brothers now playing nicely figure out where Malcolm is and pay him a visit, in awesome fight scene the brothers use some fancy foot and hand work all while taking on bit of lead, all the goons are down for the count when Malcolm encounters Amenadiel and stabs him with the dagger forged in hell, the only weapon that will take down an angel and a devil.

Maze takes a dying Amenadiel back to LUX and heals him with her only ticket back home, while Chole gets her hands on the money Malcolm left behind as was fleeing her bullets and finds Lucifer there too. Back at the station Chloe gets a call from Malcolm, he has kidnapped Trixie to force Chloe to turn over his money. Chole is instructed to come alone and when she gets there he turns Trixie over to her and gets his money but that’s not enough he wants Chole dead too but Malcolm is interrupted but Lucifer and in trying to save Chole and Trixi he is fatally shot by Malcolm. As Lucifer lays dying on the floor of an aircraft hangar, he pray to his farther God to save the two, promising to work for him again if he does. Lucifer farther answers him and resurrects him to full strength, but not before showing Lucifer a vision that greatly disturbs him.

Lucifer and Chole shoot Malcolm but he is not worried as he has his get out of hell free card, the Pentecostal Coin or does he? The look on terror on his face is priceless when he realizes he no longer possesses the coin and he is going back to hell for good. Lucifer clearly quit rattled from what he seen or didn’t see in his vision, tells the now recovered Amenadiel that he spoke with father and that he has asked him to recapture a soul that had escaped from hell in exchange. Amenadiel sees Lucifer is frightened and asks who exactly has escaped hell? Lucifer replies…… Mother!?

This episode definitely left me wanting more and has raised a few questions….. Where’s Maze? and why is Mother dearest in hell? This episode gives the perfect setup for season two, with tracking down Mother dearest the escapee from hell and will the brothers work together again to achieve the result, personally I hope so they make a pretty good team. I have really enjoyed this first season and each episode has kept me wanting more and Tom Ellis and Lauren German are outstanding together and are building a great emotional chemistry between Lucifer and Chloe which I look forward to watching evolve more throughout season two. This Devil has definitely left me wanting more and I cannot wait for season two.

Amenadiel is not happy and corners Malcolm in a car park only to learn that Malcolm knows Amenadiel has no powers to kill him but also Malcolm has Lucifer’s get-out-of-Hell-free card and is now on #TeamLucifer. At the Satanists meeting – which turns out to be a memorial service for their murdered friend but Lucifer is infuriated by the lame service, he and Chloe confront the group’s leader and he uses his mesmerizing-look on him but finds out that the leader actually wants to avenge the girls death. Police are able to locate the boyfriend and suspected murderer’s car near a warehouse, but inside they find the boy strung up in a gruesome, crucifixion-like pose, they also find the word “Morningstar” written in red paint, Chloe send Lucifer home and he tries to explain he punishes evil her doesn’t commit evil but that’s not enough to convince her. Chloe and Dan find a cufflink after Lucifer leaves, originally assuming it to be “M” for Morningstar but then realizes it belongs to a local reverend.

wp-1461116422079.jpeg

Malcolm follows Lucifer to LUX where he is totally sucking up to him, when Lucifer notices red paint on Malcolm’s hands, and Malcolm admits that he murdered the boy and he even framed the reverend, thinking Lucifer would be delighted by his work, the trouble now is that Malcolm is unafraid, knowing he has the coin but Lucifer claims he will bring Hell to him. Amenadiel and Lucifer fight, Amenadiel has been hurt by the manipulation with Maze, and Lucifer thinks Amenadiel has turned Chloe against him. Chloe goes to LUX to talk to Lucifer, he is reminiscing and possibly regretting his decision to leave Hell, as she gets closer she finds the reverend dead on the ground, shot in the head, she pull her weapon out and points it at Lucifer and says she has no choice.

Well that was an interesting episode, do you think Lucifer really did it or was it Malcolm’s doing? This episode has definitely got my brain ticking over. Check back same time next week for the next episodes review.

“Pop’s” SN1-EP10

Lucifer and Decker are investigating the suspected poisoning death of a well-known chef/owner of an upscale Mexican restaurant, whilst investigating Decker get a surprise visit from her Mother who has just arrived back in LA and seem Lucifer is clearly a little taken by Mrs Decker as they flirt with each other and he gets an invite to a “family dinner”. Decker and Lucifer start interviewing the staff including the chefs son (Manny Montana) and Lucifer is convinced that the son killed his father given their past relationship. Sous-chef Anne (Tara Summers) who would assume control of the restaurant if the son was out of the picture, tells Lucifer &Decker she would never hurt her boss, then suddenly she coughs up blood and collapses, meanwhile Maze turns up to see Dr Martin for help to make her “Normal” but well all know that’s a tall order!

We see Maze make her first friend but she’s not quite in the same age group of Maze. The family dinner doesn’t go to plain as Lucifer manages to piss everyone off including douchebag Dan. Decker and Lucifer realizes that the sous-chef Anne is the one who poisoned her boss but the poison was ment for his son, she worked hard for that restaurant and he was just going to give it to his son, she couldn’t let that happen, so she poisoned the son’s meal but, what she didn’t know is that he had become a vegetarian. Malcom reveals to Dan his plan’s to kill Lucifer, ordered by his own brother Amenadiel, as much as Dan dislikes Lucifer he tells Malcom he can’t let him kill Lucifer? Well didn’t see that on the cards, douchebag Dan looking out for Lucifer? Chole get’s a break up text from Dan, but they weren’t really back together so she drowns her sorrows with wine and ends up at Lucifer’s place sad, drunk, and flirty but to my surprise Lucifer says no??? Definitely not the ending I thought was going to happen that’s for sure!! Are you as surprised as I am or is it just me?
