Big Bang Theory S10 E11 ‘The Birthday Synchronicity’

It’s here the Fall Finale of Big Bang Theory and boy was it was a good one. Following the events of the previous episode Howard, Bernadette, Raj, and Stuart are off to the hospital. They think its time for the baby to be born but they jump the gun. Howard of course is the least helpful but his love for Bernadette redeems him.

Calling their friends they tell them not to come yet. Sheldon and Amy who were about to have her birthday sex are both excited to head home. To think Sheldon Cooper would be enjoying sex. Though this is stopped when Amy tells him she went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter without them. For someone who knows Sheldon so well, it surprises me that she went there without him.

Raj ends up spoiling the gender of Howard and Bernadette’s baby and is kicked out. He interrupts both of the other couples romantic times and they send him away. Soon, after they rush to the hospital. Even though they are all there of course it takes long time because no one can know when a baby will actually be born.

I really enjoyed seeing them talk about how far they have come with Raj always feeling down about himself. He finally feels better when Howard names him his daughter’s godfather.

They don’t get to see Bernadette which makes sense as she just had a baby. So the rest of the group looks for the new baby. It is humorous seeing them look for the baby when the babies all do look the same. Suddenly a cry rings out, a familiar cry in that it sounds like Mrs. Wolowitz. Looks like Little Hallie is Mrs.Wolowitz reincarnate.

This episode certainly was a good one that finally introduced the Wolowitz baby. After a whole half of a season dedicated to this baby, its time for the show to change once again. I am curious what story lines will appear in the new year and how the baby will change the lives of the characters. If it cries like Mrs.Wolowitz it certainly won’t make their lives any better. I did like the moment where Howard said he missed his mother and that she really would have been the best grandmother. Certainly this episode was a hint of what is to come and I’m excited to see the rest of the season.

Final Fantasy XV is getting free Holiday DLC!

Final Fantasy XV is already a huge game with a lot to do, but it looks like there will be even more to come. On December 22nd we will be receiving Holiday DLC!

Included in this DLC are new costumes, special equipment and even a pass to a limited time Carnival event which will happen in January.

The biggest thing of all has to be New Game Plus which will allow you to replay the game. Though currently we don’t know all that we can transfer from save files, it still is exciting if you have been itching to replay the game.

The two costumes are for Noctis and are rather funny. First he is dressed up in mariachi style for the Carnival Style costume. Then in the spirit of Moogles and Chocobo he dresses up in their image.

There are also items that stop leveling up and items that increase AP. Though if you don’t have the season pass you will only get the Ring that stops experience gain. Plus if you have enjoyed Prompto’s pictures then you will surely enjoy the new frames coming to make them shine even more.

This should be a nice update to the game and will be just a taste of what is to come. In the future we will also see the arrival of Gladiolus’ DLC where in the story he faces an old Final Fantasy enemy Gilgamesh.

Are you excited for this DLC? Will you play the game again with New Game Plus? Does this DLC make you want to get the Season Pass if you don’t already have it?

The Final Fantasy Holiday DLC comes to PS4 and Xbox One on December 22nd just in time for the holidays!

Final Fantasy XV is a solid bro-tastic adventure!

https://i0.wp.com/oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/apis.ign.com/final-fantasy-versus-xiii/thumb/6/6c/Final_fantasy_xv_characters.png/468px-Final_fantasy_xv_characters.png

Final Fantasy XV was recently released and I played through the story from start to finish. I really enjoyed playing through this game and thought it was something rather magical. Different from its predecessors Final Fantasy XV is a more modern yet still fantastical tale.

From the outset of the game there is a sense of brotherhood, four friends going on a road trip to see their best friend and the Prince get married to his lady love. These four guys are very different from each other but all feel strongly about making the world better. There is a brotherly love that flows through the group that only grows as the game progresses.

All of these four guys have different wants and desires plus different skills they bring to the table. Noctis can fish which offers a nice diversion from monster hunting and other activities plus helps Ignis cook excellent fish dishes to help the party. Gladiolus is the muscle and a survivalist which helps since they often have to camp outside. Prompto is the exuberant photographer always taking pictures even in battle.

I don’t want to spoil the story so I will speak lightly about it. The four travel around the world in the Prince’s special car the Regalia. The Regalia is a beautiful customize-able machine with the ability to play every Final Fantasy Soundtrack once purchased. They meet a variety of different people and even gain the aid of fantastic summons and help from powerful friends.

Noctis and co face off against countless foes from the neighboring kingdom of Niflheim along with monsters who roam the world. With hunts for monsters, a huge branching skill tree, and so much character interaction there is always a lot to do.

The story is absolutely brilliant even though some may argue it isn’t. I honestly did feel like I was the fifth member of this group and that we were all the best of friends. You meet these great characters and twists and turns occur that change how you view these characters. Sometimes you are sure your meeting a villain when you are actually meeting a stalwart companion.

If you haven’t played this game I would suggest you give it a shot. While it might not be as fantastical as its predecessors this game is worth playing. Plus the ending is something you have to see to believe.

Final Fantasy XV is out for Xbox One and PS4 right now, with loads of DLC planned for the future!

Studio Ghibli fans rejoice, a new Ghibli style film is on its way from the wonderful new Studio Ponoc!

https://i0.wp.com/www.elbakin.net/plume/xmedia/fantasy/news/animation/2016/mary-flower.jpg

Studio Ghibli the anime movie titan led by Hayao Myazaki might not be making movies like it used to but a new studio is working on something that might just fit the bill.

In a new movie based on a children’s book called the “Little Broomstick” which is called “Mary and the Witch’s Flower” in movie form we are treated to a Ghibli style adventure. It makes sense that this movie looks the way it does as a former Ghibli producer has started this studio.

The movie looks absolutely charming and tells a story of a little witch. She must deal with all sorts of terrible things just like any of the other Ghibli heroines. Even though we only got a brief glimpse of what the movie is about I am already excited. This looks to be a new generation of Ghibli style film which hopefully continues for years to come.

I have a feeling that once this movie comes out they will begin work on something else. The stories that Ghibli movies told were all about the power of women and that they can do anything. I think these types of movies need to be seen because they have this lesson entwined with the magic majesty of it all.

Watch the trailer below and tell me what you think of this new movie. Does it have the Ghibli magic in your opinion?

New Girl S6 E9 ‘Es Good’

Jess and Robbie are doing nicely together and Schmidt and Cece are excited to show off their house. Jess and Robbie aren’t going to be exclusive. Though these two are hardly meant for seeing multiple partners.

Robbie tells Jess he has a date which troubles Jess because she has no one else to date. Though this always surprises me as Jess is such an amazing character with a fantastic spirit.

Nick talks to Schmidt about the lack of work on his house. Nick helps him out with his normal guy attitude. Nick is definitely the opposite of Schmidt but that is why they are best friends.

Jess tells to Winston and Cece about dating. Nick seals the deal and gets the contractor to bring in the electrical guy so they can put up walls. It definitely is good that Schmidt has a friend like Nick around.

Schmidt decides he needs to become Nick so he can become a man of the people. Jess finds a man who clearly doesn’t speak that much English and the game begins.

Robbie and Jess are testing each other with their new sweet hearts. They decide to double date which will clearly go terribly.

The date starts of rocky when Robbie’s date Babs is attractive and Jess feels bad. Jess finds Robbie is actually way cooler than she expected. Her date is definitely far worse and she is regretting this.

Nick and Schmidt get swindled by the contractor and decide to team up to take back what was taken. Hilariously Schmidt can’t break a bottle.

The date just keeps getting worse as they keep up their dates. Robbie and Jess finally show they are both into each other and everyone leaves Robbie’s house.Winston and Cece are hanging out waiting to help Jess. They realize they are very happy with their lives and are done with helping Jess until she texts Cece.

Schmidt and Nick’s plan goes awry when Nick drops the stolen goods. Jess and Robbie finally reconcile and become a couple. Nick and Schmidt realize that the contractor is a good guy and everything ends well.

The Odd Couple S3 E5 ‘Miss England’

Dani has been given the job as Producer for Oscar’s show. This means Oscar will need a new assistant which troubles him. It would certainly trouble me to lose such a great assistant.

Felix freaks out about his girlfriend Emily afraid she is depressed. It does make sense as she came home from England to be with Felix but she had to give up something that wouldn’t come again to do so. Felix does all he can to cheer her up by having dinner with her on the terrace.

Oscar doesn’t like the assistant choices but Dani asks him to trust her. The new assistant is actually terrible for unforeseen reasons. It makes sense that this woman would be terrible as Dani did just sort of choose her. Just because she acts sweet doesn’t mean she can do well on the job.

Since his girlfriend misses England he brings her to an English Pub. This is a terrible idea as Felix only really knows of stereotypical oldschool England. She is right to be angry as she storms off.

Dani fires the terrible assistant with the help of Oscar and is happy with it all. Oscar knew she could do it because he knows how great she is.  Emily breaks up with Felix so she can be independent for awhile. Felix is now left alone depressed and tells his acting friends to stop trying.

Chris Bosh comes in to do an interview with Oscar and Felix hugs him because he is sad.

Last Man on Earth S3 E9 ‘If You’re Happy and You Know It’

The gang questions Melissa about her time away and she has nothing to say. Melissa’s character is certainly changing for the worse in a lot of ways.

Carol shreds her adoption papers she worked so hard to get Gail to sign. Tandy decides to take Carol on a honeymoon to cheer her up.

Gail is hilarious as she is going crazy in the elevator. Todd decides to guard Melissa for the night because he loves her. The next morning of course she goes rogue. Really curious what the endgame at the moment with Melissa is.

Tandy recreates the time he and Carol met and rejuvenates her happiness. This is nice as it is always good to have callbacks to earlier episodes especially the first one.

Trapped in the elevator Gail’s shoots a bullet and it blasts back hitting her. Looks like things have gone from bad to worse for Gail.

Todd looks for Melissa and finds her on the roof. She appears to want to jump so he helps her off and they go for a walk. I have a suspicion of what Todd is up to, but it makes sense.

Tandy and Carol catch a fish which she names Gail. Todd locks Melissa in a room with a two way mirror so they can watch her.Tandy and Carol go back to see the fish and it is outside its bucket dead. It suddenly returns to life shocking them. Does this mean that the gang will actually find Gail before she dies from blood loss?

The Fall Finale ends with the characters in different places emotionally. Bleeding and knowing she won’t be found Gail shoots herself ending her life. I really do hope that she isn’t dead, but with what we know now our scrappy crew just lost one.

Son of Zorn S1E8 ‘Return of the Drinking Buddy’

A flashback to Zorn’s past reveals his old drinking buddy. The office is celebrating and Zorn invites his violent old friend Headbutt-man. This character is definitely going to be a dangerous add to the episode.

Alan asks his crush to go to a party with him even though they are both unpopular. Zorn tells Edie and Craig that his terrible friend is going to stay with them. I have to wonder how this will affect Alan.

It turns out that Headbutt-Man has a daughter who is just as ugly as he is. Alan is forced to  bring Headbutt-Girl to the party even though he doesn’t want to. Headbutt-Man no longer parties and immediately fits in with Craig and Edie shocking Zorn. Of course Zorn is shocked, he just wants to party with his old friend.

Zorn brings his friend to the work party as Alan and Headbutt-Girl arrive at their party. Seeing everyone party Headbutt-Man orders a drink. For a man who claims to not drink he is way to quick to start drinking.

Headbutt-Man’s girlfriend and Edie know each other from Summer Camp. There is certainly tension in the room as we learn that they both dated the same guy. Humorously Craig calls the guy and they find out that he was an ass. Alan is afraid to swim with his friends because of his animated legs. This is a perfectly reasonable thing, but I think animated legs sound pretty cool.

If Headbutt-Man headbutts one more thing he could literally die. Zorn’s boss Linda suggests Headbutt-Man headbutt something. He wants to headbutt her truck. Clearly his brain doesn’t work.

Alan is kind to Headbutt-Girl but gets headbutted so Layla stays with him. Headbutt-Man’s girlfriend saves him and they are to head home the next morning. Zorn throws keys at him which hit him in the head and he falls back, hopefully he isn’t dead.

This show is great when it really fuses the two realities of these different worlds. I hope we see more of Zorn’s friends join him in the real world. This episode certainly added a nice layer of what Zorn was like when he was young which is good to strengthen his character.

Son of Zorn S1E9 ‘The War on Grafelnik’

Its Christmas time and Alan has to choose between Zorn and Edie for celebrating. Zorn tells them all about the story of Grafelnik which sounds just like Taken. It is rather humorous how they spin the story of Grafelnik but you can clearly see it is a Taken reference.

Craig runs away from a Santa wine cover. Don’t tell me he’s afraid of Santa? Meanwhile, Zorn sends Alan to a scary location for Grafelnik. Ah Zorn, as much as he cares for Alan he has no idea what danger is.

We find out that Craig is terrified of Santa after a terrible childhood moment. After hearing what scared him, I think anyone would be terrified of Santa.

Zorn and Alan have some fun Grafelnik time. Edie and Zorn both want to spend the holiday with Alan. Of course they do, they are both his parents and he is almost old enough to leave them. Craig goes to see Santa so he can get over his fear. He tries to sit on his lap but certainly can’t go through with it. Zorn buys Alan a hover side car when he asks. Edie is of course disgusted as anything Zorn gets is usually very dangerous.

Edie overhears Alan’s bragging about his plan and goes to see Zorn. Edie and Zorn go all Grafelnik on Alan to reach him a lesson. It is nice to see these two team up. Wouldn’t mind an episode flashback with Zorn and Edie in Zephyria.

Zorn goes to sack Santa’s village at the mall. Edie and Zorn fake fight and when Zorn lights the tree on fire Alan breaks. Edie and Zorn’s revenge worked but they terrified a good number of children. They even manage to send a Santa inflatable to the ground and it covers poor Craig. Craig thinks he is cured but soon runs off totally afraid.

Zorn brings out Zephyria killer bees as the final Grafelnik revenge. Definitely one of his most terrible ideas especially when as the episode ends you hear the characters scream.

I did enjoy this episode and think that it is always nice to think of crazy fake holidays. Sure this won’t be remembered like Festivus but I think it is interesting to bring revenge into the holiday season. Definitely works for an insane cartoon barbarian.

New Girl, S6 E6 ‘James Wonder’

Nick owes Schmidt and Cece a wedding present and Jess might be principal. Winston wants to be undercover and has chosen the name James Wonder. Jess tries to talk to one of the parents trying to get his vote so she can become principal.

Nick is troubled by Schmidt and CeCe’s wedding registry. He thinks it is created by robots because of a prank from Winston. Winston’s pranks always do go to far or come short so it is good to see one land. Though Nick is already the most paranoid of the group.

Winston goes to the event Jess is at and his undercover character goes over well. Jess is told she would be a terrible principal for the school she is vice president of.

Nick talks to Schmidt and Cece drunk about what to get them. Schmidt of course gets angry and Cece is nice as usual. Schmidt and Cece really are a great couple and I enjoy seeing them complete each other.

Jess is forced to bring in James Wonder even though she despises Winston’s character.Winston gets in over his head and since Jess is eavesdropping she goes to save him. Winston is thrilled of course as the former principal is in love with him.

Nick gets a terrible gift in the form of a pretty woman tattoo of Schmidt and Cece. They hate it but are flattered I guess. Only Nick would think a tattoo would be a good present, but at least he did try.

Jess saves Winston and then struggles to say yes to adding Ventriloquism to the curriculum. She certainly doesn’t hate ventriloquism she just questions the merit of teaching it to young children.

Schmidt and Cece tell Nick they hate his present. Jess decides she doesn’t want to do everything for the parents. She says she will do it all for the kids and actually has been doing great with them. She does end up getting the job of course.

Nick ends up changing his tattoo with all his friends as support. I mean there was no way he was going  to spend 2000 dollars to get it removed.

This episode was definitely a good one as it showed our characters growing. Winston certainly does have a knack at creating characters and clearly can get sucked into them, but it should serve his cop career. Nick is just Nick in this episode but its clear he cares for his friends deeply. Can’t wait to see what happens to Jess as Principal of this weird school.
