New Girl S6 E9 ‘Es Good’

Jess and Robbie are doing nicely together and Schmidt and Cece are excited to show off their house. Jess and Robbie aren’t going to be exclusive. Though these two are hardly meant for seeing multiple partners.

Robbie tells Jess he has a date which troubles Jess because she has no one else to date. Though this always surprises me as Jess is such an amazing character with a fantastic spirit.

Nick talks to Schmidt about the lack of work on his house. Nick helps him out with his normal guy attitude. Nick is definitely the opposite of Schmidt but that is why they are best friends.

Jess tells to Winston and Cece about dating. Nick seals the deal and gets the contractor to bring in the electrical guy so they can put up walls. It definitely is good that Schmidt has a friend like Nick around.

Schmidt decides he needs to become Nick so he can become a man of the people. Jess finds a man who clearly doesn’t speak that much English and the game begins.

Robbie and Jess are testing each other with their new sweet hearts. They decide to double date which will clearly go terribly.

The date starts of rocky when Robbie’s date Babs is attractive and Jess feels bad. Jess finds Robbie is actually way cooler than she expected. Her date is definitely far worse and she is regretting this.

Nick and Schmidt get swindled by the contractor and decide to team up to take back what was taken. Hilariously Schmidt can’t break a bottle.

The date just keeps getting worse as they keep up their dates. Robbie and Jess finally show they are both into each other and everyone leaves Robbie’s house.Winston and Cece are hanging out waiting to help Jess. They realize they are very happy with their lives and are done with helping Jess until she texts Cece.

Schmidt and Nick’s plan goes awry when Nick drops the stolen goods. Jess and Robbie finally reconcile and become a couple. Nick and Schmidt realize that the contractor is a good guy and everything ends well.

New Girl, S6 E6 ‘James Wonder’

Nick owes Schmidt and Cece a wedding present and Jess might be principal. Winston wants to be undercover and has chosen the name James Wonder. Jess tries to talk to one of the parents trying to get his vote so she can become principal.

Nick is troubled by Schmidt and CeCe’s wedding registry. He thinks it is created by robots because of a prank from Winston. Winston’s pranks always do go to far or come short so it is good to see one land. Though Nick is already the most paranoid of the group.

Winston goes to the event Jess is at and his undercover character goes over well. Jess is told she would be a terrible principal for the school she is vice president of.

Nick talks to Schmidt and Cece drunk about what to get them. Schmidt of course gets angry and Cece is nice as usual. Schmidt and Cece really are a great couple and I enjoy seeing them complete each other.

Jess is forced to bring in James Wonder even though she despises Winston’s character.Winston gets in over his head and since Jess is eavesdropping she goes to save him. Winston is thrilled of course as the former principal is in love with him.

Nick gets a terrible gift in the form of a pretty woman tattoo of Schmidt and Cece. They hate it but are flattered I guess. Only Nick would think a tattoo would be a good present, but at least he did try.

Jess saves Winston and then struggles to say yes to adding Ventriloquism to the curriculum. She certainly doesn’t hate ventriloquism she just questions the merit of teaching it to young children.

Schmidt and Cece tell Nick they hate his present. Jess decides she doesn’t want to do everything for the parents. She says she will do it all for the kids and actually has been doing great with them. She does end up getting the job of course.

Nick ends up changing his tattoo with all his friends as support. I mean there was no way he was going  to spend 2000 dollars to get it removed.

This episode was definitely a good one as it showed our characters growing. Winston certainly does have a knack at creating characters and clearly can get sucked into them, but it should serve his cop career. Nick is just Nick in this episode but its clear he cares for his friends deeply. Can’t wait to see what happens to Jess as Principal of this weird school.

New Girl S6 E7 ‘The Last Thanksgiving’

Jess wakes everyone up early to prep for Thanksgiving. Schmidt is excited his dad is coming for Thanksgiving and Nick is stokes for his girlfriend Regan is coming.

After hitting him in the previous episode Robby can’t fly so he comes to hang out with Jess. She doesn’t like him in the way he likes her and can’t dump him. Winston offers to take care of Robby so Jess doesn’t have to.

Schmidt’s father comes to the door and is upset about his girlfriend dumping him. The day won’t turn out as nicely as the gang hoped it seem. I love this show because it is so real, there are always little curves in days and it is so relatable.

Regan has work so isn’t coming to Thanksgiving. It’s not so surprising because of how her character is. Winston keeps an eye on Robby as Schmidt talks to his father. Schmidt decides to get drunk with Nick and his father.

Schmidt asks Nick to save his Thanksgiving with his father. Jess is going to break up with Robby and it will be hard. Schmidt’s father talks to her and Schmidt and Nick go to find his ex.

Schmidt’s father and Jess once dated and Robby sees their interaction causing him to leave. Schmidt and Nick go to see his dad’s ex when they find he is seeing 5 different women.

Robby is okay with Jess not liking him. Schmidt is upset with his father as he should be, because Schmidt wanted to have a nice holiday with his dad. Robby stands up even though his leg is broken and talks passionately about Jess. Jess has feelings for Robby after this.

Nick ends up throwing the Turkey at the wall. Jess runs after Robby.Schmidt is the bigger man in his relationship with his father and tells him he loves him. Jess brings Robby back and Schmidt cuts the Turkey, or what is left of it.

They have dinner and Regan texts Nick a nice text. Even though she doesn’t come Nick is happy. They cheer to the last loft Thanksgiving and reminisce.

A great Thanksgiving episode. I am curious how the next Thanksgiving will be shown on the show as it has always popped up in past seasons. Things are changing but I hope we have another Thanksgiving episode next season.

New Girl S6E10 ‘The Christmas Eve Eve’

The gang is celebrating Halloween when it hits November 1st, and Jess is ready for Christmas. The gang decides to not do Christmas which troubles Jess even though clearly Christmas should be cancelled. Jess suggests they do secret Santa and everyone agrees.

Nick has started calling thing relating to Schmidt as “Jew things” a thing that just makes sense for Nick to do. Jess has the perfect gift for Nick in mind after he buys what she bought immediately.

Schmidt doesn’t sign for Winston’s Secret Santa and as it is for Cece Schmidt decides to team up with him.

Jess gets Reagan to come to see him for Christmas. Nick is swamped at the bar for the first time for Christmas  and Jess goes with Cece to help. Nick goes to do his taxes for the bar and Jess eventually checks up on him. In true Nick fashion he has bought a ticket to fly to Seattle to see his girlfriend Reagan who is coming to see him.

Nick has noticed that Jess has been acting so weird since he came back. He is rude and she spoils the secret because her feelings are hurt.

Winston has gotten Cece a bean bag chair because of a game they played once. Schmidt wants him to get something else. Winston and Cece’s relationship is quite funny as Schmidt seems just a little jealous that he is getting along so well with her.

Jess didn’t get a gift and Winston got two so he gives his second gift to Jess. Reagan comes in and isn’t greeted in the best way.Though Nick does say that seeing was like being 10 years old on Christmas morning which is probably one of the most endearing things he has ever said.

Nick whips up a great present for Jess involving Darlene Love singing her favorite childhood Christmas song. There is a lovely moment where you can see how much all of them love each other.

A great Christmas episode to a wonderful show. The characters all care about each other so much and they are so much more like a family than a group of friends.

New Girl S6 E6 ‘Ready’

Jess is ready to date again after so long. Nick wants to focus on his writing and asks Cece to manage the bar. As Jess goes out to tell her friends she is ready Schmidt comes out to tell them about his neck weight. Jess takes Schmidt to her gym to help him.

Jess and her friend Robby are clearly a match for each other. Schmidt thinks Jess should give it a shot and date Robby. They do look nice to each other.

A woman flirts with Winston who doesn’t understand it. Nick writes at his bar and is troubled by CeCe’s hiring. Winston is in a relationship and being so nice he hates shutting down women.

Jess has an odd but fun date and ends up ending it by calling him a friend. Worse way to show someone you want to be more than friends.

Schmidt talks to Jess and she tells him her date troubles. Jess couldn’t see herself marrying Robby and it was just a strange moment. He tells her just to have fun and kiss Robby.

Cece gives Schmidt a super long scarf which troubles him. Cece takes pictures of her new hire to help him in his modeling career. Nick can’t write because he is unsure of why this new bartender is so attractive.

Jess and Robby have a moment at the gym and Schmidt tells her to go get him. Jess tells Robby she did want to kiss him. She goes to kiss him while he is lifting a huge weight and it soon drops on them breaking Robbie’s nose. Not a great memory for a first kiss.

Jess also hurts her neck and has realized she isn’t into Robby. Schmidt thinks Cece thinks he is fat but Jess just tells him to be fat and happy and hang out with Cece. Jess goes to talk to Robby and fix things.

Nick crushes Winston so women won’t hit on him anymore. Nick finally comes to term with why the new bartender is attractive. Cece shows off her managerial power and inspires Nick.

Jess goes to tell Robby she isn’t into him and hurts him physically instead. Schmidt is eating cake and feels good because Cece will always love him. Jess decides to pretend to be into him to heal him before breaking his heart.

Nick brings in more models to help at the bar. He then tells her she should manage models. Seeing this change Schmidt decides he needs to work out she doesn’t get tired of him.

An episode where our characters all were able to grow in some way. I really thought it was a nice one. It is good to see character’s grow all throughout the seasons  and become better people.

American Horror Story: Roanoke ‘Chapter 10’

roanoke-1

This season has gone way too fast, I can believe we are at the final episode already, I don’t know about you guys but I loved the way this season was done, I also loved the fact that I never knew what was going to happy, it is a quality that I love about AHS. Before we look at the final episode lets have a quick recap of ‘Chapter 9’ first.

Roanoke ‘Chapter 9’ Recap

A new actor shows up to the house as per Sidney’s request. Three of the shows fans enter the woods to shoot the blood moon and the history of the house for the web and find out very quickly that all the events at Roanoke were true. Lee is possessed by Sháchath and murders the three young Youtubers, Monet and attempted to murder Audrey. Right let’s take a look at the final episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke ‘Chapter 10’

Roanoke ‘Chapter 10’

In the March after My Roanoke Nightmare aired on television, it was screened at PaleyFest where the cast and crew were interviewed by Trixie Mattel and Edward Hansen, and during which, Sidney (Cheyenne Jackson) teases the possibility of a second season. One of Lee’s (Adina Porter) fans asks if she can give her a picture of a drawing she had done and also asks for a hug, which lee reluctantly agrees to. That same fan makes a YouTube video, in which she directly addressing Lee, why she came back to do the follow-up to My Roanoke Nightmare, she goes on to criticise the follow-up saying that it felt contrived and would only tarnish the legacy of the original. Then we see another video and it’s from, the real Lot Polk (Frederick Koehler) and hs is promising vengeance on Lee for taking his to babies away from him.

A TV series called Crack’d documents every part of Lee’s life, from her family, her addiction, the custody battle, the murder of her ex-husband and her appearance on My Roanoke Nightmare. In an on-camera interview, the district attorney claims he always knew that Lee was guilty and footage of the murders of the murders from Return To Roanoke: Three Days in Hell will prove it. Lee is put on trial for the murders but her attorney uses the horror and psychological trauma that Lee had to face at the hands of the Polks as a defence strategy. The district attorney is not satisfied and prosecutes her for Mason’s (Joe Alvarez) murder, and in another interview, he walks us through his evidence of Lee’s guilt. Flora (Simone Baker) testifies against her mother in the trial, saying that she witnessed Lee killing her father in the wood. When cross-examined, Lee’s attorney asks why Flora went into the woods alone. Flora says she went out there because she felt safe with Priscilla (Savannah Liles) and Lee’s attorney used this to cast doubt on Flora’s account and the jury find Lee not guilty of Mason’s murder. After the trial, Lee tries to speak Flora but is brushed off.

We are shown another TV series, The Lana Winters Special, the famous reporter Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson) She runs through Lee’s life following her acquittal, Lee has written a best-selling book about her harrowing ordeal, and Lana Winters has come out of retirement to interview Lee. However Lee is sceptical of Winters intentions but says Flora gives her hope, and that is what gets her through, and when asked she does admit that she doesn’t see much of FloraLana says to Lee that she can’t be that surprised, Lee starts to get defensive and angry. Winters asks why her despite all the offers from other outlets Lee picked her, Lee says that she thought Winters would be more understanding and sympathetic given her history with atrocities. Lana invites Lee to speak to Flora directly, Lee looks down the barrel of the camera and says she hopes that one day Flora can understand and forgive her for what she has done, Lana then asks Lee point-blank about Flora’s whereabouts, Lee clearly has no idea what’s going on as Lana informs a very shocked Lee that her daughter went missing earlier that day, and she accuses Lee of taking Flora. All of a sudden they hear shots from what sounds like an assault rifle then Lot Polk burst into the room and threatens the pair, then knocks Lana out with the butt of his rifle, she tries to talk him into giving the weapon up, and just as he is about to shoot Lee, he is blown away by the police.

We are shown another TV show called Spirit Chasers, a group of paranormal investigators trespass into the Roanoke house during the blood moon, in the hopes of capturing the reported ghosts of the house on film. While the house is being set up for filming one of the hosts explains some of it haunted history. They bring in the re-enactor who played Cricket Marlowe actor Ashley Gilbert (Leslie Jordan) and come nightfall they begin to experience paranormal activities that start to unnerve them when they are interrupted by Lee who is searching for Flora who has been missing for two weeks. Lee advises them to leave this hell hole of the house while they can, when suddenly the thermal cameras in the house pick up the Chen family as well as picking up the and recording the voice of Priscilla. The Chasers proceeds to ignore Lee’s warning and Ashley is killed by the Piggy Man, one down two to go, as the rest of the Spirit Chasers attempt to flee but are killed by Thomasin and her mob.

Lee and Flora are finally reunited inside the house. The following day, the news reports that Lee is involved in a 14 hour standoff with police at the Roanoke house, they believe Lee kidnapped Flora again and is holding her hostage. Lee and Flora begin to bond and Lee explains that her mistakes were always for Flora’s benefit, she apologises and begs for her forgiveness, she wants Flora to come home but Flora wants to sacrifice herself by burning the house down and becoming a ghost so she can protect Priscilla from Thomasin (The Butcher). Lee tells Flora she will look after Priscilla so Flora can go live her life and can come visit anytime, Flora and Priscilla agree to Lee’s offer of sacrifice and together Lee and Flora burn the Roanoke house down. Flora is found by the police and as they drive her away she watches her mother and Priscilla as they walk off into the woods, Thomasin watches from a hilltop as her mob surrounds the remaining offices and the burning house, with the blood moon again looming in the sky and the sound of wooden totem clanging ominously.

American Horror Story Announces A Murder House and Coven Crossover Season

web_detailhero_series_dsktp_american-horror-story_1280x600_official

American Horror Story’s creator Ryan Murphy dropped a bomb about the future of AHS while attending EW’s PopFest. Murphy had already mentioned a future revisit to AHS’s third season Coven, linked to Lady Gaga’s Roanoke role, however, Murphy further revealed it would actually directly link to another of the show’s seasons as an official crossover.

Murphy revealed, “We do know what we’re going to do“. “It’s not going to be the next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre.

Murphy further clarified, “There will be characters from Murder House and characters from Coven together” which as you can imagine it sent the panel’s audience into a spin. However, Murphy also confirmed the crossover will not take place during the show’s seventh season, largely because of scheduling such huge names at the same time. Murphy stated “I’ve already started going to actors from both of the seasons, quietly, saying, ‘I think in the window if you could fit us in,‘ “so yeah , it’s fun. It’s weird.”

Bob’s Burgers S7 E8 ‘They Serve Horses, Don’t They’

Gene has hurt his arm and the kids are using this to stop working. His rival comes in to tell them that his restaurant sucks and that he has been saving 1000 a month by buying meat from a guy.

They call the guy and he talks them into a trial box. Bob doesn’t enjoy the meat but it probably is just him second guessing himself. It turns out his though was right as the health inspector Hugo comes in and tells them it is Horse meat. Bob ends up joining him on a sting operation to learn about the meat guy

Bob calls to order more meat  and Tina is freaking out because she loves Horses. Bob decides to talk to his new guy about  meat. They find out nothing about the meat guy and Hugo vows them to try it again. Louise blackmails them into letting the kids stay in the van after Tina acts weird.

Jack the meat guy invites Bob and the family to his party. They have made an impression and that is a good thing. I wonder how and if they will catch this guy in the act. He clearly is serving Horse and that is just a weird thing to serve especially if you aren’t telling the buyers.

The family heads to the party and they have to work to keep Tina in check. The party goes great for everyone except for Bob. Gene and Louise  are eating, Linda is drinking, and Tina is with her love interest Jimmy Jr.

Bob talks to Jack and he finds out that he is trying to get him in trouble. Bob runs away but Jack chases him, he soon sides down a slip n slide and throws the tape to Hugo who can’t catch. The tape doesn’t break and they turn it in.

Jack comes into apologize and Teddy is upset that he can’t have horse meat anymore. Jack reads them his new novel “Friday Night Meats” as the episode ends. In the credits the characters all slide down the slip n slide. A humorous episode that makes you think a little about what really could be in burgers. Maybe you’ve had Horse recently and haven’t known.
